A meeting of sorts

A blitzle was wandering the dark forest, lost as a new born. Bolt had decided to explore this forest, although he eventually ended up being turned around in this maze of trees. Now, utterly confused about where he was, he trotted through the disturbing grove of trees. It had been a day or two since he had wandered in here. Since it was so hard to keep track of time in a place that almost always seemed like night, Bolt didn't know how long it had been.

Bolts eyes were rapidly closing only to be opened again. He needed shelter, and somewhere to sleep, fast. Why is there no decent sleeping places around here? Maybe after a few more feet.... Still nowhere, he kept on walking, but still nothing. At last, after many minutes, he stumbled across a leafy pile that looked quite comfortable in the roots of a tree. Satisfied, he lied down and closed his eyes, a deep sleep awaiting him.

Near a pretty large opening, within one of the few lit up areas of shadowhue forest, lies a Female Kecleon. She was literally lying near the base of a tree nearly covered by fallen leaves, as if they were some kind of bed and blanket. She was perfectly fine and peaceful curled up and asleep, till suddenly something rather heavy nearly crushed her. This sent the Kecleon a massive adrenaline rush forcing her to wake up.

Oh god! hey! "mmgaah! maeh!" Yooka, couldnt move, however she was able to poke the object. after a few attempts she managed to give it a jab, however that didnt work out so well. Fudge Trying to move ended up futile. so she decided to just deal with it, and basicly endure it for a bit longer, she knew it was a living thing due to how it was breathing, so it would eventually move. She decided to take this opportunity to guess what it was, considering she couldnt fall asleep due to how uncomfortable this was.

She was able to rub against it's side to determine its fur was a bit brittle and short. Due to the lighting and the awkward angle Yooka's at, she couldnt quite determine what color or shape. Despite it being smaller then her it was heavier, maybe add half over. She could feel a bit of static but she wasnt sure if it was from rubbing the fur. Argh, If the static is from the pokemon then it is an electric type. I don't know many heavy electric types... it cant be an electibuzz, they arent even close to here, and no sane electibuzz would even dare sleep in a forest like this.

Yooka tried to use her tail to get a feel, but relized its pinned to the ground, however the thing thats pinning it is hard and slightly cold, and shaped like a Ω. what? this cant be a ponyta, even if they are asleep, the tail flame wouldve set the leaves aflame. oh wait... It has to be a blitzle. electric, brittle fur, has hooves, and is smaller but heavier than me. yea... but what is one doing here? Arent they suppose to be... actually, I never even thought about that. She decided to give another jab this time with extra oomph.

It seemed as soon as Bolt fell asleep, he awoke. Giving a snort was his only acknowledgement to the presence below him. Soon after he once again closed his eyes and drifted off. It wasn't until minutes later when he was fully awake. Something was jabbing into his side, and it was very uncomfortable. Definitely not leaves, so what is it? Getting up and stepping out of the pile of leaves, he found a kecleon. I must of been lying down on that Pokemon.... Whatever it is. "Are you ok? I didn't notice you," the Blitzle neighed.

Nearly seconds after the final jab, the object got off Yooka. She near instantly, rolled onto her belly. She smirked at the question and statement. "No, I was rudely awoken, but I feel fine if that's what your asking." She started to stretch, hearing only two cracks coming from her arm, made her smile. Nothing broken. Just the average stiff joints.

She looked at the pokemon. It was indeed a blitzle, which caused Yooka to smirk again. still got it, but why is it here? "What brings you into this forest? If it's to pick a fight, you interrupted the wrong pokemon. I don't like fighting." Yooka looked around, she couldnt see anything out of the ordinary. Considering she was wide awake now she decided to ask another question... "Mind if I stick with you for a bit?"

Bolt sighed with relief when he heard the Pokemon was fine and dandy. That's good that I didn't break her bones or anything. The Kecleon asked soon after if he was here to start a scuffle or fight. Because, if so, he was out of luck. A flicker of confusion passed across the Blitzle's eyes, but only for a second. As soon as she said that she asked if she cou,d stick with him for a bit. Now, Bolt was majorly confused, why ask if he was picking a fight then ask if she could tag along. This Kecleon was one confusing Pokemon. Neverless, the blitzle quickly replied, "no, no, I don't want a fight, and sure. I'm Bolt. What's your name by the way, and species of Pokemon are you? I'm not well educated in species."

Noticing the Blitzle was pretty confused about her questions just made her ever more curious as to what it's doing here. When It asked for her name and what species of pokemon she was. She started to giggle to herself. She shook her head. How old are you...? "heheh, Mine is Yooka, and Im the color swap pokemon." she laughed for a bit before continuing. "I'm just joking with you. You asked for species, I gave you the correct answer, buuut I know what answer you really wanted. I'm a Kecleon."

Yooka finally had an opportunity to ask, "So... uh, Bolt, what brings you to this forest of shadows? Is it because your an explorer, or just looking for some spooky adventure, or is it your lost? Or, perhaps, is there some other reason as to why your here?" Satisfied with her question she got up to follow the blitzle if he decided to move.

Bolt didn't know what to think of Yooka, as he now knew her name. One moment she had asked if he was going to fight, next she asked to tag along, and now giggling. The Kecleon wasn't like any Pokemon he had met before, but, to be far, he hadn't really met many Pokemon yet.

Yooka suddenly asked why he came here. Explorer? Is she taking about a guild explorer, or just someone who explores? Bolt pondered on how to say why he came, should he start from the beginning? Or just as why he decided to come into this forest of shadows? Bolt finally replied, "uh, well you see I'm an explorer of sorts. I'm not registered in any guilds though. I decided to explore this place a... Few days ago maybe? I'm not sure, it's hard to keep track of time in a place like this. I ended up getting turned around in this maze of trees, and I've just been wandering around here."

Yooka smiled upon hearing he's not an explorer, but she frowned when she heard he was also lost. She nodded to the blitzle "I see, so your lost too."good he's not an explorer... that wouldve been bad. She went back to the leaf pile almost forgetting to grab her bag. Ive been lost here for weeks, I thought you were a feral trying to snuff me while I was sleeping, but when you got up and started talking I then thought you were one of those explorers sent to get me. heheheh. I guess not.".

I guess this Yooka is lost too. Bolt had been hoping that the Kecleon might have been able to help him get out, but guess not. She seemed to have been lost here much longer than he. The Blitzle watched as she ran back and cliched her bag, as she did that she started talking about how she thought he was a feral a feral? Blitzles didn't live anywhere around this region, let alone this forest. As soon as she mentioned an explorer he said, "how would they know you're lost in this... Forest? And explorers from a guild? Is there any of those places near here?"

As soon as she heard the Blitzle ask a question of how they would know. Yooka shot a questionable look at the blitzle. Either this one hasnt been to Grassveil or he entered from the other side. Which is a fifty-fifty good thing, but then again if he came from around Rainfront... I better keep my guard up. "Your not from around this area are you? Heard of Grassveil Town? It's quite a distance away but that is the closest town and within it contains one of two guilds that I know of. Ive been away from them for about 3 weeks and Im sure someone from the guild wouldve noticed my disappearance. After a week in here, I decided not to even try to explore around but instead set-up for a long wait, but with some company, I think we could get out of here just fine." She scratched her right arm for a bit due to it starting to tingle, finally waking from being asleep. Probably from all the pressure set on it from the blitzle. "Oh ya, almost forgot. If your actually not from around here, then where are you from?" she didn't exactly smile for this isnt one of her relaxed days. However, she is very interested in why her luck chose to send her a blitzle in a place like this and at this time.

"Grassveil? No, never heard of it, then again I've never been to any sort of town," Bolt neighed. "And I lived far away from here, on a plains." Memories of his family started to soak up any other thoughts. Then, he remembered Spark, laying there coughing and wheezing. That was one of the last days I saw her.... A couple fat tears rolled down his cheeks. He blinked and shoved his memories to the back of his mind, quickly thinking of something else. He had gotten excellent at doing this, although he still sometimes had emotional breakdowns. Shaking his head the blitzle asked, "should we go? If we keep on going in one direction we are bound to come out of this forest sometime."

Yooka relaxed a bit when the blitzle said it wasnt from any town. Well then... this is a new case. Someone who probably doesn't know anything about life in the city. Yooka stated to giggle to herself. "I guess so, it's better than sticking to one place. shame though, I was starting to get used to this part of the forest."what am I saying...? She shook her head. I think the mysterious nature of the forest is getting to my head. "uh, just pick a direction. I'll follow behind you."

"Um ok, this way I guess." Leading a way towards a pathway of sorts, well more of a clearing in the trees, Bolt trotted in one direction. As long as he didn't get turned around or messed up he should be fine. The blitzle hoped that wouldn't happen.

"So, Yooka, where do you come from?" Bolt asked trying to chip away at the time. Sure, he could be looking for anything useful, but, there wasn't anything really useful scattered about. Plus, he'd rather get to know Yooka a little better, as he was curious and a little confused about her.

After they had been walking for a while two Pinsirs came bashing out of the bushes, snapping their pincers viscously. Well, this is great. Bolt definitely did not want to be cut in half by those things on there head, it sounded very unpleasant. He leaped out of the way as one of the Pokemon tried to snap him in half, missing him by inches.

This shall be fun... maybe. she shrugged and followed the blitzle as it started to walk off. Watching the blitzle made yooka felt a bit more secured. He better know how to fight. He's gotten pretty far in here alone and I don't want to end up protecting him like I do with nearly everyone smaller than me. seemingly at random during the trip, he asked where she's from. Should I tell him? He probably wont remember if he went to visit the place. "Rainfront Town, its about 5 to 8 days walk from here. well... going at my speed, anyway."

The Blitzle didn't ask any more questions and Yooka didn't care to ask him anything after that. After awhile two pinsirs show up. Yooka didn't pay much mind to them, but she did watch them pop out and one of them tried to grip the blitzle. At the point the first one failed to grab the blitztle the second was already onto Yooka. "nope" Giving the pinsir a jab in the eye as it got close enough, it staggered back. Yooka knew it's physical strength outmatches her own so she doesnt plan to stick to physical fighting. "Hey, Bolt do you know any special moves. specifically ones that dont hit physically? They can take a beating but Im sure they can't handle something different."

As she was saying that the Pinsir tried for another attempt but she jumped over it and managed to swipe an item off it without looking. Yooka looked at her hand to notice it as a cacnea spike. The fudge did this come from? cacnea's arent from around here? Yooka went on alert, "I think there are more then just these two." As she said that a slakoth hanging from a tree directly above her started to clap, slowly... Yooka looked up, not only to notice it was wearing a scarf like a belt but to smirk at its attempt at encore, but it didn't actually work. You want more, buddy? Fine. Looking back at the Pinsir, she got ready to... Oh, fudge. what move did I use last...? The Pinsir took this opportunity to jump Yooka, gripping her with immense strength without hesitation. Yooka didn't yell out, for she didn't want to sound bad, despite being in what appears to be the worst possible situation. I've been in worse situations than this... but... gah.

"No, sorry I don't know any special attacks. But I have something that might just turn the tide." I only have a few seconds after the Pinsir comes charging after me, that's when I'll do it. The Pinsir once again turned around and tried to snap up Bolt, but failed, miserably at that. Bolt even got a kick out of it, one that the Ponsir probably wasn't fond of. He then reached into his bag and grabbed a blast seed. Stuffing it into his mouth he didn't hear that there might be more Pokemon than just the two Pinsir. As the Pinsir charged towards the Blitzle again, it was sent flying backwards by a burst of explosions, probably unconscious.

Bolt turned around to find Yooka about to be snapped in half by a Pinsir. He charged without hesitation and used his double kick on the bug type. The Pinsir loosened it grip on Yooka, but it still wasn't enough for her to squeeze out. Now, the maddening Pinsir was charging at Bolt, but let go of his grip on Yooka entirely so it could snap up Bolt and slice him in half.
