-Dusk-
In an attempt to take her mind off of the waiting and worrying, Dusk had entered one of the rooms the group had stopped at in the hopes of passing the time. There was no way forward within the room, and the only noteworthy feature was a trove of.... not exactly "treasure," but more of.... junk. It just looked like a bunch of accessories and clothing, all with a very eerie and similar color pattern to it. The various items seemed to all have a dark purple color with distinct white markings on them, and the marks seemed to be some kind of symbols, although they did not make up any language she knew of. She had an odd urge to go toward the "treasure" despite none of it looking particularly appealing; she slowly crept closer to the storage of various accessories with curiosity and interest filling her mind.
She was so taken in by the odd items that she nearly jumped in surprise upon hearing Sova's voice. She turned around and was stunned to see the glaceon.... or what was left of him. He looked absolutely tattered, and it was a wonder to the umbreon how he was even standing. There were wounds all over him, some of which looked quite severe. The uninhibited bleeding had painted much of his body a red color which, on top of his previous injuries, made him look almost like a walking corpse. "S-Sova? What.... happened?" she hesitantly questioned, fearful of the answer.

He'd met up with his client and gotten his bag back; he'd found where his friends had stopped; he'd survived the onslaught of the absol. Now he had to deal with the eevee ranting about how stupid he was for wanting to take a cursed item from the troves of the ruins. He would also have to deal with whatever side effects the item he got would have.... if it was even true.... then there was Dusk. That last one was perhaps the one Sova was the least excited about. "Look, I doubt we'll get out of here in our current states anyway. I don't see much other choice. I don't know about you, but I'm in over my head. I don't have much choice but to hope the cursed treasure can help," he tried to quell his client as he entered the room, keeping his voice down so he wouldn't attract the attention of some group members who were likely.... somewhat upset with him.
As in all of them. The eevee refused to follow him into the room, being extremely cautious around the cursed items.
The room he'd decided to enter first was the one with only Dusk inside. He'd specifically decided to go for this room instead of the one with pretty much everyone else inside because he wanted to make sure Dusk didn't touch anything and end up ruining her life. "I had a talk with Tall, Dark and Edgy," he responded to the umbreon's clear worry about him without really giving much of an answer.
"Don't touch anything. This.... treasure is said to be cursed. The items cause a variety of effects on those who touch them. The effects vary, but most of the items have an upside and a downside. Unless you think you
need an upside, trust me when I say you don't want the downside...." he decided to go out of his way to explain the situation before being asked.
He figured it was going to be pretty hard to continue to hide the truth in a moment anyway, so it seemed like it was time.

Her question was answered, albeit not with much of a proper answer. Then, before she could even bring up what the glaceon wanted out of this place and what was up with all the tacky accessories, he decided to just start talking about it out of the blue. By the end of the explanation, Dusk only had one question: "Sounds like it can be pretty bad.... So what's worth that kind of risk to you?"
She didn't get an answer.

Sova just ignored his friend's question for the time-being as he pulled an orb out of his bag, carefully lifting it with both paws. He then dropped it and allowed it to smash on the floor. He'd heard Trawl orbs could help to safely acquire the item one was looking for without risking having other ones latch onto them. Supposedly, being warped by a Trawl Orb temporarily.... "confused" the items. Some claimed they were conscious entities, or at least something close to it. The whole thing still seemed a bit odd to him, but he'd already seen plenty of odd things in his life.
(Sova's Trawl Orb yo. Also, just as a note: if I roll a Cursed Ribbon, that's the one I'm going to equip to Sova. I'd just like to clarify that beforehand so that I can free my character from limbo without having to post again to note which item I'm taking. Although I'm probably still going to post at least one more time because I think I'm gonna roll for Dusk too but I'm still contemplating it. For the record, it will be chain-posting, because my RP partner doesn't have any business in this chamber so I'm kind of going solo right now.)
