And We'll all Float on Alright

This had seemed like a good idea at first. The pokemon who had helped him craft his cape had made the mountains sound so nice. So serene and quiet, and so secluded... It was a good place for a mon to go and think about their actions and their predicament. Oh, but they had warned him. They had warned him, yes. They had brushed it off though like it wasn't a big deal, though, as if they thought he would get used to the cold.

HE COULDN'T GET USED TO THE COLD.

Adrol's utter lack of pigment made him susceptible to the cold, in fact, seeing as he lacked the pigments or just color in general the would allow him to absorb heat from the sunlight. Not that that would be particularly helpful, due to the partially cloudy weather that was periodically blotting out the sun. Still, it would have been nice.

The pale Snivy was laying on his stomach on a branch in a high tree. His hat and his cape, hung from a nearby branch, were more noticeable than he was, due to the fact that it actually had colors that varied from the icy landscape. He sighed, watching the cloth fluttering in the winter breeze, and tried to think warmer thoughts.

Giles decided to continue his journey around the world. Go to the mountains in the Icy Lands, it cannot be that bad he thought. He had already been to the range where Black Mist is, so he figured that it could not be all that much worse. He thought that people were just overestimating the temperature in the Icy Lands.

Simply put, they were not.

Coming from a rather tropical island, this is his first experience to real cold. What he considered cold was nothing compare to what he was experiencing. Still, he hoped that he could simply ignore the temperature and enjoy the beauty of the snow. “Maybe with it being so cold here, the lack of people with preserve the nature of the mountains,” he thought as he tried to justify his reason for coming there.

The wind blew through the evergreen branches, and the bitter tendrils of air that reached him made him shiver. He pulled his patchwork cloak off the nearby branch and wrapped it back around his body, shielding him from cold a bit more. Still, it was cold. It was especially cold because there was no sun out, and the darkness wasn't helping his poor vision much. Honestly, Adrol was starting to see the downside of being a snake with poor vision in a place mostly made of snow. He had stranded himself, more or less.

As the hopelessness started to fill his heart, he happened to catch a glimpse of something nearby that filled his heart with just a bit of hope. He thought he saw a blur of colors in the white blur of snow, moving slowly near his tree. He prayed that it was another pokemon that was capable of assisting him, and that it wasn't just an item or something.

"EXCUSE ME!!!" Adrol called loudly, as he was completely out of options and he was absolutely desperate for this pokemon to provide him some kind of assistance. He also couldn't tell exactly how far the blur was away from him, but they certainly weren't close enough for his eyes to make out a definite shape. "I'M TERRIBLY SORRY FOR MY YELLING, BUT MIGHT YOU BE AN ADVENTURER, OR EVEN JUST A POKEMON WITH NAVIGATIONAL SKILLS? I'M IN A BIT OF A PINCH AND I AM IN DIRE NEED OF ASSISTANCE."

As Giles was trying to ignore the cold by taking in the beauty of nature, he was interrupted by yelling. Needless to say, he was started by the sudden sound. He looked around to see what exactly was the source of said noise and saw a white pokemon. Before he could make out what kind of pokemon it was, he just assumed that it was an ice type. However, when he got closer to the pokemon, Giles made out that it was a Snivy.

Upon recognition, Giles got very concerned for its wellbeing. He assumed that the white was snow that covered the pokemon. “Um no sorry, I sorta got myself intentionally lost. That way I can find places that haven’t been found yet. So my sense of direction would be little help for you it seems,” he said. While he was talking he tried to get as fast as he could to the Snivy, but needless to say, that was not all that fast.
