Pokkoji had heard of a place called Pricklemist Hill when he was in Grassveil. He was curious about it and wanted to see what it was like. Maybe he would be able to get some training down there. Of course, the Caterpie didn't think about why it was named like that.

"Wooo, adventure time!!" A small green Pokemon was moving fast between the vegetation. He was excited about being in this new place. He wondered what he would encounter here. Wait, didn't he see that rock before? Or that old tree? He didn't know. The fog made it hard to get around but it didn't bother him. All he could think about was exploring and become stronger to become a great rescuer. He didn't even know where he was going. He didn't even notice he got himself completely lost.

The Caterpie looked up as Adam spoke up about there being another Pokemon there. Pokkoji crawled a bit closer to it so he could have a better look at it. "Say, what Pokemon is this?" He asked curiously. The Ghastly itself was surprised by that question. It even seemed to find it amusing that the child didn't know what species it was.

Having gotten the attention of the gassy being diverted to him, Pokkoji watched as it moved closer. The Caterpie looked at it curious, wondering what it would do. Then the Ghastly used Scary Face on the Caterpie, trying to scare it away. It did not really have the effect the Pokemon hoped it had. Pokkoji snorted a bit at the weird face the gassy being was making and then started laughing. The Ghastly, surprised and confused, just stared at the Caterpie.

The Gastly sent a chill down his spine, almost enough to make him cower and beg for mercy. "D-Dammit..." he muttered with a look of pure horror and caution. Just... Maybe it isn't threatening! Hehe, yeah! M-Maybe it's just- Oh, who am I kidding?! This thing's gonna kill me! As much as he wanted the Absol to slice it in two with a Shadow Claw, not a word came out of his mouth. No amount of struggling could shake Raze out of this until the Ghost type was directing its attention away from the Cheering Pokémon. Luckily, though, it appeared less interested and went off to mess with the Caterpie.

One look at the scene made him jealous beyond belief. This little bug wasn't even the slightest bit afraid! But... How did... Is that even... How?! he thought in shock. How was it that Pokkoji was unaffected by its presence while the Electric type was frozen like a statue? Sure, he had a fear, but it should have at least bothered him a little bit. ...Guess he's a lot tougher than he looks, eh? Well, I'd better set an example here. Raze nodded and turned to the Absol. "Nah, just let it be. It doesn't seem like attacking anyways, so what's the point?"


Adam shook its head when Deimos offered to take care of the Gastly. It seemed like nothing more than a young feral who wanted to cause mischief anyways; attacking it would seem a bit harsh. "If anything sinister occurs, you are permitted to harm this Ghost type." it stated. Though merciful, it knew to never be too trusting of feral Pokémon. They had a tendency to do unpredictable and irrational things when relied on to be trustworthy. Besides, seeing Raze act in such a way considering his personality is very entertaining. the Steel type thought with a cheerful expression.

However, something caught Adamantine's eye; a reddish area on the Absol's body seemed to be wounded. "Hmm... It appears you are suffering from an injury. My apologies, however, as I am not skilled in medical practice." the Beldum stated with a sympathetic gaze to the Dark type. "Have you considered consulting a medic or healer? They can provide care beyond what my own limitations permit."

Finally opening his eyes, Deimos looks to the scene. The Caterpie seemed to have outright caught the Gastly off guard with it's reaction and Deimos had sensed the physical reactions of the Minun by the slight shifts in the air around it. He understood that though the Minun seemed to be trying to remain brave... It seemed that nature had other ideas.

Deimos let off a faint sigh and shook his head, understanding that this was a different Gastly to the feral he was somewhat acquainted with from his first visit. He understood that the one he'd known would typically flee upon encountering him. As the Absol began to step forwards to see if he could determine for absolute certain the purpose of the Feral's presence. He had a gut feeling that there was more to this.

As the Beldum brought up his injury, the Absol shook his head. "It'll be fine" The Absol spoke, having already had his wound cleaned prior.

The young Caterpie looked up at the mention of an injury and crawled to the white Pokemon. Only then Pokkoji noticed the wound on its side. "Say, what happened to you? That doesn't seem like a nice wound. Did you get into a fight with someone? The Caterpie asked curiously. He didn't think about that the stranger might not want to talk about it. Why would he think about that?

The Ghastly looked confused at the Caterpie for a moment. It seemed to not be paying attention to it anymore. It was dissapointed by that. The caterpillar seemed fun. The Ghastly turned its attention back to the strange Minun. It would have fun scaring it. The feral floated closer to the Minun and Beldum and used Scary Face again.

Oh great... You again! Just go away already, please! he thought, trembling from the Gastly. The gaseous being made its way back over to him, clearly bored of Pokkoji Eventually, Raze tripped again, landing onto his back facing the Ghost type. Having the effects of two Scary Face techniques didn't help. "Shoo, shoo! Go away, you're really creepy!" he pleaded, creating sparks in his hands whilst swatting at the air. The Gastly looked confused at the Minun, chuckling at the mouse's attempts to scare it away. With one Astonish, he was reduced to nothing more than a panicked mess.

"T-That tears it!" he shouted. "Everybody duck, trust me!" With this, he fired off a blinding Discharge. The electricity even lit up a section of the fogged, misty area to the point of disclosing their location. Unfortunately, this also happened to reveal a Spoink and two Zangoose, who had been caught in the blast. "Um... At least the Gastly's down, hehe?" he said with a nervous smile. The ghost had taken the attack directly, but he was more concerned about what the other Pokémon would do.


Adamantine shook its head. "It is not recommended to travel with a wound such as yours, Absol. I suggest that you seek treatment before continuing on any more expeditions." it said in a somewhat concerned way. If it looked like it was literally an open, fresh wound, why would he even think about saying it was okay? "Besides, it will hinder your-" the Steel type began, only to be cut off by Raze's shout. Doing as it was instructed, Adam allowed itself to hit the floor with all of its weight. The resulting thud shook a small portion of the area.

"Raze, I do not believe that was very wise... You seem to have angered a few ferals in the area." it stated. Levitating once more after the attack, the Beldum noticed a small crater in the ground where it had landed. As soon as one of the Zangoose began to retaliate, however, Adam was already blocking him with its iron body. The Scratch didn't do much damage, but the attack was still so sudden and allowed it no time to prepare. "It appears that we must defend due to the... 'interesting choice of actions' previously taken."

Deimos simply did the equivalent of a shrug. Though the wound stung under some circumstances, it's as bad or hindering as they were acting. He'd already moved on while experiencing pain once... Twice now in fact, such a wound nothing compared to the pain back then. "I've dealt with worse, it will be fine" The Absol commented before the Minun decided to take a rash action.

Laying down to avoid the gathering blast of energy that he was expecting to cover the area, Deimos was ready and willing to protect himself with Stone Edge if necessary. Waiting patiently until he could stand once more, The Absol rose from his position, sensing a few Pokémon that seemed to have been roused by the assault.

Quickly noticing the scene with the Beldum, Deimos slammed one of his frontal paws to the ground. Visually this action probably wouldn't make sense if they were unaware that this was his method of summoning forth Stone Edge. He aimed for it to strike true into the Zangoose while the Beldum kept it in place. "Keep it still... I'll cover your flank" The Absol spoke, before sensing a moving form heading towards him.

As another Zangoose came into view and attempted a scratch against the Beldum, Deimos moved swiftly and struck with his own Sucker Punch. If he could separate them from taking down a single target, they'd stand a better chance.

Pokkoji looked at the wound again. "Eh? Really? You seem pretty strong." Pokkoji said. The Caterpie never got any serious injuries so far but he had been in dangerous situations before. Bird Pokemon seemed to see him as food.

The Caterpie was confused as the Minun told him to duck. As he looked at the Pokemon, he noticed just in time why. The electricity crackled above him right as Pokkoji lay flat on the ground. That was pretty close. "Hey, watch out!" Pokkoji said annoyed. Then he noticed the other ferals. "Look, you made them angry now too. Although this was a good opportunity to train, the situation wasn't the best.

Pokkoji noticed an angry Spoink bouncing towards the Minun. It didn't seem particularely strong. The Caterpie tackled the Spoink out of the air, making it fall down. Now the feral was targeting the Caterpie. This was going to be a fun fight.

Chaos broke out instantly, what with several ferals engaging in battles with his companions. In a hurry, Raze picked up two Gravelrocks, chucking them one at a time at a Furfrou who was advancing in for a sneak attack. The first missed by a wide margin and struck Adamantine agains the side of its metal body, but the other landed directly at the eye of the poodle. The Normal type howled in pain and rolled onto its feet again, growling in anger. Wasting no time, the Minun ran up and struck the larger Pokémon with a charged Spark attack.

This effort only managed to anger the feral, seeing as it reared back and pushed forward with Tackle. Raze ended up on the blunt of the attack, skidding backwards and smiling. "This is pretty fun! Shame that it's about to end right now, Furfrou!" he boasted, meeting a second Tackle with a Spark. Both of them were left staggering backwards, but Raze remained conscious. "Ow... Wait, I won? Yes! Knew that I could do it!" the mouse celebrated with a grin and a cheer.


After taking a few hits from the Zangoose and being struck with a rock, the Beldum wasn't particularly having a good time. This is going to be a long day... it thought, intercepting the Zangoose that was send sprawling forward after a successful Stone Edge. The combined might of the Rock type attack and the impact with its metal body resulted in an instant knockout to the Normal type. "My gratitude... Absol." Seeing as the stranger had so rudely ignored the questions regarding his name, Adam decided to just call him "Absol" until he revealed his identity.

Looking over at the scene, Adamantine spotted Raze. "Do you require lessons in aiming projectiles? You are fortunate that it did not cause too much pain or damage." the Steel type scolded him. Instead of shouting and appearing angry, however, it held back; he looked like he was having a rough time already.

The Absol was now engaged in his own little battle against the Zangoose he had intercepted, claw matching claw. Deimos was playing his cards close to his chest, a Future Sight having been triggered in the small period of recovery by the Zangoose after Sucker Punch. The Absol was able to effectively party the scratch attempts the Zangoose made, quickly identifying movement after movement to abuse.

After every few swings, Deimos had pushed forwards and swatted it away, buying time for his Future Sight to active so that he could conserve some strength for another round if more showed up. Slapping the Zangoose away for the fourth time, the Psychic type attack finally triggered. As a near invisible slash of energy came into existance, striking along the Zangoose's chest, it collapsed.

With his own target felled, Deimos glanced towards the other two. Seeing that the rest had seemed to handle their own battles well, Deimos bowed his head. As he was addressed by the Beldum, Deimos merely nodded. "You're welcome... Though let's try to avoid angering another group" The Absol commented. His sound had begun stinging somewhat, but it wasn't overly problematic.

Pokkoji was really looking forward to his fight with the bouncing Pokemon. It looked rather funny. It also didn't seem strong. Pokkoji thought he remembered that the geral was a Spoink. The bug didn't remember were he heard that from though.

Pokkoji tried tackling the Spoink, but it dodged it rather easily. The bug wasn't planning to give up and kept trying, only to keep missing the psychic type. "Hey, stop dodging." Pokkoji yelled at it. He was getting enough of this. Then he got an idea. Pokkoji looked at what he assumed to be the Spoink's foot and fired a String Shot at it.

The feral got surprised as it could no longer move. Pokkoji had glued it to the ground. The feral was too busy flailing around in an attempt to get free to pay attention to the Caterpie. Pokkoji saw his chance and tackled the Spoink. The Spoink looked angry at Pokkoji. It was flailing more wildly, but it was to no avail. Pokkoji kept tackling it until the Spoink was knocked out. He then looked around. It seemed everyone had their own fights. The stranger had defeated his opponent. Too bad he didn't see it.

Sighing and muttering an apology to the Beldum, Raze looked at the scene around him: ferals lay unconscious upon the floor, Adamantine looked stressed beyond belief, the strange Absol had successfully defeated his opponent, and Pokkoji had just knocked out a Spoink who was trapped to the floor. This was enough to cause the rodent to crack a grin and nod in approval. "Well, that was easy! Hard to believe I was worried over nothing!" the Electric type boasted with a chuckle. In reality, he was this close to falling on the floor from shock and light fatigue, but what was the point of saying that? It's hard to give up when you stay positive, Raze. Come on, just shrug it off like it's nothing and carry on. he thought, trying his best to motivate himself once more.

Glancing over to his side revealed another Zangoose, clearly minding its own business... To anyone with common sense. Raze instantly took it the wrong way, running over to grab something from the bushes; he hoisted a decently-sized box over his head and ran back towards the Normal type. "I got it, I got it!" he cheered, literally swinging the box like a large weapon, only to fall down after a trip from Adamantine.


What was Raze thinking?! Was he trying to start fights? Why would he try to attack another Zangoose? The curiosities were bugging Adam worse than the fact that it did almost nothing to support its allies in combat. In a rush, it collected an Oran Berry, a Purple Gummi, and another box similar to the one the Minun had in his hands. "Promise not to do anything else unreasonable unless it is an emergency, and you can keep these items." it explained. He nodded with an overexcited smile, stuffing the items into his bag. The Beldum turned back to the others and shook his head with an expression that said "I didn't sign up to be a babysitter."

"My gratitude for the assistance in the prior skirmish." Adamantine expressed its feelings with a flat monotone, yet implying a slightly more relaxed mood. Now that it had successfully kept the Minun from causing any more fights, it could actually get to know some of the Pokémon here. "If you two don't mind me asking, do you happen to have any desires? This is just a question to suffice for the purpose of socialization is all."

Now that the main brawl had ended, Deimos had paused and sat down, eyes closed as he focused on conserving strength. While the Minun want ahead with his relatively stupid plan, Deimos scanned around himself, letting loose a faint growl. His wound was stinging once more from the fight due to exertion. He let off a faint sigh, knowing he could do naught but put up with it for the time being.

As the Beldum returned and questioned the two, Deimos shook his head... His dreams and why? That was quite personal... Especially so to Deimos himself. He didn't wish to speak of them nor his past to a group of allround strangers. His dreams, his loss, were his to bear alone. He examined his front leftmost paw, checking for scratches and such from the prior fight.

His encounter with Sevipers before had taught him to always be cautious of his own wounds, even small ones. Infection and pain typically wouldn't care about you not wanting then after all, unless one took precautions.

Pokkoji looked confused at Raze as he ran to the still conscious feral with a box. Why would he attack a Pokemon who didn't seem like they were interested in them? The bug might not be the smartest, but he knew not to disturb a Pokemon who didn't want to be disturbed. He had to admit, the Minun was rather amusing. Pokkoji had to try to not laugh when the Beldum tripped Raze.

The Caterpie crawled closer to the group. "You are funny, Raze." He said to the Minun in an amused voice. Then he turned his attention to the Beldum when he asked what their desires were. That was easy to answer. "I wanna become a guild member and become stronger and save a lot of Pokemon and become a hero! He exclaimed. He didn't care what others thought about it. He was going to do it.

Hearing Pokkoji's answer brought a huge smile to his face. "You want to be a guild member too? Wow, and I thought I was the only one! Adam here says that it isn't really that hard to get in, but I still want to train a bit regardless, just in case. I assume you're doing the same? Great! How about we both work towards that? Guess I'll be seeing you at the guild soon enough!" he chirped with a happy expression. The fact that a Pokémon, even one as small as the Caterpie, had a similar goal made his day. The mouse still didn't mind those with other aspirations, but finding someone he could relate to was amazing. Huh, small world we live in...

It was a bit disappointing to not hear the stranger answer. Raze could understand that the question was a bit personal, but would it really be that bad to give a vague description? Instead of pestering the Absol, he chose to leave him alone for the time being. Maybe he would open up later, but if he didn't, it wouldn't be the end of the world. After all, they had proven to be an antisocial type over the span of time he'd been discovered.


Adamantine patiently waited for Raze and Pokkoji to finish talking before it finally spoke up for itself. "You two simply must try and find a way to meet outside of our expedition today. It appears that you two have much to discuss about my chosen profession. My advice to the two of you: do not be afraid of the guildmaster. Faye is a nice Meganium, with a natural calming appeal to new recruits. I do not know much about the other guildmaster in Aileron, but I assume that they will not cause you too much trouble during the application process." the Beldum explained with a nod.

This statement brought it back to the time when it applied for Team Radiance and joined Clyde. That was one of the most interesting moments it had experienced since leaving its Aron companion. Finding another intellectual, corporal being brought a sense of joy to Adam, one unlike any other it had experienced. It somehow knew that both Pokkoji and Raze would feel something similar should they ever find the right teammates.

For the most part, Deimos ignored their talk about dreams, clearly and visibly checking for any new injuries to worry about that he might've sustained in the heat of the moment. He was being pretty cautious after prior encounters. He knew the wound he already had was from an ineffective move and it was already enough of a pain to deal with. Once he summarised that there was naught more, He got up and started to walk forwards.

This encounter had sidetracked him somewhat and forced him to waste energy, something he had wished to avoid originally. He had to be his focus back on the bigger matter at hand, reaching the clearing so he could rest his wounded form, to give it time to continue healing. His movements seemed slow and deliberate, making it quite obvious that he was conserving strength.
