The Reptile and The Fox

Sorblit travelled around since a good few days now. On his journey, he did encounter already many other Pokémon, but one Pokémon that he encountered gave him some guidance on where to travel to first. Sorblit heard from him about some town, that is the center for other Pokémon to stop or start explorations, this town was behind some forest though. He knew he had to make it to this town to find some more pokemon and maybe even a place to stay.

Sorblit, coming from a forest, wasn't scared of getting lost in it, he appreciated it even. As it made him feel more home. Of course there is always the chance, to get lost, but claw markings that he left on trees, indicated him where he went. It was quite peaceful, in the time of the day that he went in. From the Pokémon he met before, that helped him out in informing him about the town nearby. He also heard this forest was named the Pecha forest, and Sorblit being experienced in hunting for berries and the likes. He could tell that the people who gave it this name, weren't wrong to do so, as he smelled and encountered berry bushes being not uncommon around.

Sorblit came to realize, that this forest was bigger than he expected, and he yet was to find a path that lead to the village. As he continued leaving markings, to remember where he went.

"Yeah, let's try to get through this forest as quick as we can now" He said, looking after where the Ledyba went making sure it really ran off. Getting his stuff again he threw it over his shoulder and started to nod at Cana. "Alright, lead the way again"

He didn't know how long it would take until they reached the town, but it seemed like they are getting kind of close. Or at least he hoped so, because he can't keep fighting off ferals all by himself forever. Making a little sigh thinking about that trying to shake the bad thoughts that might happen out of his head and concentrating more on going through the forest again.

Cana started walking again. She didn't seem so weak anymore as before but she still had to be careful. It somehow still puzzled her how this Totodile got lost. There were a few roads that went to Grassveil. Why did he even decide to go through the forest?

The Fennekin glanced back to the blue pokemon. She didn't know what to think of him. If she had to describe him now, she would call him weird. Still, she didn't know him that well either.

Cana shook her head and concentrated to where she was going. It would not be a good idea to disturb any Ferals or pokemon that lived in the forest.

Sorblit watched out to not walk too close to her, but he did keep close. Looking around and watching for more unpleasant surprise hoping they weren't much more. Sorblit then saw one of the signs that pointed to Grassveil town, he sighed noticing that he should have just watched for them.

Walking onwards, and looking at the Fennekin it felt like she knew how dumb he was for not noticing them. But he just shook his head "Have you explored before?" He tried to get some small conversation going with the Fennekin, because he couldn't do much else.

The Fennekin glanced back and saw he finally noticed one of the signs. He really never noticed any till now, did he? She shook his head. She had to change her opinion on him now. Sorblit was an idiot. How did he miss the signs till now?

The question surprised her a bit. "A little." She didn't really feel like telling him much about it. She was trying to concentrate on her surroundings. She suddenly stood still. A bit further away, there seemed to be a Nidorina. It didn't seem to have noticed them. Maybe they would be able to sneak around it?

Sorblit unlike the signs noticed the Nidorina standing a bit ahead. He stood still like Cana, trying to not make any noise for now as he looked at the Fennekin he tried to keep his voice down as best as he can "So? What should we do now?" He said, trying to see if she had a plan to deal with this without raising any attention.

Sorblit noticed the Nidorina was busy doing something on the path. While right and left to it were bushes were small Pokémon like Sorblit and Cana could crawl through without being seen. Maybe she saw it too, he thought and wondered what her idea was at first.

Cana glanced at Sorblit. "We try to find a different way." She looked around and noticed an opening between some bushes and walked through it. She looked around to see if there were some pokemon lurking around. It seemed to be safe.

"We are going this way. Don't get yourself lost." Cana looked at Sirblit with a serious expression when she said that. She still needed him. Although she wasn't so weak anymore she was still pretty vulnerable for attacks. Then she turned around and started walking again.

Sorblit nodded back at her, as he followed her into the bushes. He tried making him small by getting on all of his paws now. Crawling pretty easily through the bushes, as he tried to see if he could see the other Pokémon through the leaves, it was pretty hard though. Making only small barely hearable noises he followed closely behind the Fennekin.

She looked a bit serious before, but he thinks he understood why. This situation wasn't exactly good to be loud at all. He was a bit happy that he had someone to follow, and tried not to upset her, and would follow what she said probably. As he crawled more through the bushes his tail moving slightly from left to right, wondering when they would reach a safe point to get out again.

Cana noticed an opening in the bushes a bit further. Without any sound she crawled to it and looked around for ferals and other pokemon. Once she was sure nobody was there, she got out of them. Her fur was a bit of a mess from crawling through the bushes but she didn't seem to care much.

It wasn't that much further now. She was hoping the rest of the way would end without encountering any ferals. She glanced up to the sky. The sky was starting to turn orange. The sun was setting. She hoped to at least get out before it was dark.

Getting out of the bushes, the Totodile was glad as he stood up again and looked over at Cana. Noticing how the sun was setting too, he just nodded and went back to the Fennekin. Sorblit was still very curious to know more about this Pokémon she seemed to have more behind her than she showed. It intrigued him a bit.

With that he looked around with no ferals in sight he tried asking her more "So are you from Grassveil or not, Cana?" He tried to sound not too curious, he was prepeared for no answer at all even. But also hoped she would open up a little about herself, as he began by himself to walk a little further on the way to Grassveil. Not wanting to lose any time, anymore.

"No" Cana looked at the Totodile. "I do not live there." Cana actually only passed through Grassveil once before but she didn't stay to look around. She did stop at the small pond before she continued her journey. She still didn't know what she was going to do.

She noticed Sorblit was starting to walk ahead. There was only one problem. "You're going the wrong way. Grassveil is that way." With these words she looked the other way to indicate where to go. Does this pokemon have any sense of direction? I know it is confusing since we strayed off the path but still....

Sorblit stopped for a second, before trying to look like he just did a mistake. Before he quickly changed and walked into the way she said it was. He looked back, and he nodded at her answer. Seemed like she was a bit the same as him "Ah, so you are also travelling by yourself, like me?" Sorblit said with a little smile of maybe having found a fellow traveller.

This time he looked up and saw the little signs to the town. He followed them as best as he could, not wanting her to correct him again for some stupid mess up he does. Not wanting her to think he would be dumb or so.

Cana shook her head. She was feeling stronger than before. She wasn't too fond of her companion though. Once we arrive at Grassveil I am going my own way again. She noticed he was pretty curious. She did want to get away from him before he started asking really personal questions. Questions about her family, her friends, on why she was traveling,...

She did learn a few things about him during all of this. The most important things was that he was not dangerous. And another was that he didn't seem like the smartest one around. Maybe he just wasn't good with finding his way around though. She wasn't really sure.

Sorblit nodded, as he travelled futher on, she did answer his questions but he felt like she didn't really wanted to. "Ah, I see. Well I won't ask any further" He said, as he thought that the forest was slowly getting more and more open. It looked like they were almost at the end and soon at the town. He made a little sigh of relief.

Overall this was a good trip to Grassveil. He got to fight again, which he appreciated since the last fights were some time ago. Also met another Pokémon on a journey, he wondered if they ever wander across each other paths in the future. As he looked forward trying to see what lies ahead now

Cana looked around. The forest was getting less dense. It seems they were almost outside of the forest. She was finally able to relax a bit. Ferals tended to stay in the deeper parts of the forest. She doubted there would be any around here. She looked back. She didn't find any items this time. Maybe she will the next time she comes here again.

The last row of trees became visible. She stopped at them. She didn't intend to go with him to Grassveil. She looked in the distance. The town was visible from where they were standing. "Grassveil is over there. If you hurry you can maybe reach it before it is dark."

Sorblit saw the town's edges becoming clear in the distance, as he nodded. Turning back to the Fennekin he smiled "Alright, thanks for leading me to this point. Hope that wasn't too much of a nuisance" He said trying to sound thankful as best as he could.

He waited for one second, before following her advice trying to sped up his walk in hopes to reach it soon. In his mind he was going through all the possiblities a town like this might give him for the future of exploring, but he was trying to hold those back and not get overly excited again.
