| Sunlight filtered into the small room, casting it's light along the red carpeted floors. The room had a few clothing scattered in the floor, where it should be in the oak drawers with flowers etched into the wood. A large entertainment center leaned against the c.f.wall in the far side of the room, a small tv situated inside. Overall, it was a typical room, nothing special about it.In the twin-sized bed, a lump in the covers started shifting around, along with a low groan coming from beneath it. A tan hand emerged from underneath, gripping at the fabric and pushing it off, revealing a teenage girl with wild blond hair covering her face and upper body entirely. The blond groaned softly, pushing herself off the bed into a sitting up position, using her hand to brush half her hair out her face. Drowsy gold eyes stared at the painted wall before shifting to the clock resting on her dresser. It read 6:20 in bright red numbers, the girl groaned again and flopped down in her bed."It too earrrly, dammit all...."She huffed and sat back up, kicking the rest of her covers off and standing from the bed. She reached her arms up and stretched until she heard a satisfying crack. She rotated her shoulders as he walked to her dresser, turning off the alarm before it rang and opening the drawers to pick out her outfit for today. She pulled out a black t-shirt, brown khaki capris, and some red socks. Hey, never said she was fashionable. After getting dressed and brushing her hair into a non bird nest style, she left her room and walked slowly to the living room, yawning loudly. She soon noticed the lovely smell of breakfast, she perked up slightly and started speeding up to a small jog. "Bro, whatcha cooking?"She grinned at the tall man standing in the living room setting plates on the table. He looked like her, if he wasn't 9 years older than her they'd be twins. He had short slicked back hair, tan skin, and sharp gold eyes. Said man looked up to his little sister with a raised eyebrow, a small smirk playing on his handsome face."Now Fayt, who said that any of this is for you?" He chuckled at the affronted look Fayt sent back to him, giving her the 'come here' gesture with his hand. The teen pouted at him before taking a seat at the table while he left to wake up everyone else. The blond stared at the food longingly with puppy dog eyes, Her big brother, Ren is his name, had made a full breakfast today. Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes, Grits, the whole 9 yards. Sucks she has to wait for everyone else before eating. As the teen waited impatiently, soon enough her brother re-entered the room with her youngest brother, Grey, trotted in after him. By the time they sat down, a older woman dragged herself into the room, Her black hair pulled up into a messy bun. Fayt grinned cheekily at her mother when she sat down, causing the golden eyed woman to glare at only daughter."Say one word and I won't give you your allowance."Fayt fake gasped as Grey giggled from his seat, "Can we eat now?" The 10 year old whined, staring at the food in a similar manner to how his sister was earlier. Ren nodded and Fayt cheered, food time! The blond haired girl was currently hauling ass, she rushed around the house trying to find all her school supplies before the clock read 8:00. She had notebooks, sketch books, writing supplies, etc. She stuffed all of these in her purple book bag and tossed it against the couch. Now she picked up her jean purse, making sure everything was in there, once she finished checking that she shrugged on a red jacket and put on her purse. She grabbed her bookbag and headed towards the door, the clock read 7:24 she needed to hurry."I'm heading out now! Later!"She quickly left the house, putting on her bookbag properly as she jogged down the street, it'll probably take her a few minutes to get to school, but she should definitely not lollygag around. She slowed down to a walk once Grand Mitch High School came into view, Fayt looked up into the brightening sky, hands held being her back. She sighed softly, lately she has been getting this odd feeling that something is going to happen to her, it's been bugging her for weeks on end. Not to mention that odd dream that she's been having on top of that. She still didn't know what it meant, not even a clue was given in her constant dream. But it's always the same thing.CUE FLASHBACK Fayt stood in a empty white space, it was endless, no horizon or anything. She felt a large pain pound on her head, beating on it like a crazy monkey bangs on bars, it wasn't like anything she's felt before and she has fell out of trees onto concrete. She knows pain dammit! Not to mention the odd tingly feelings on her ears and back. She attempted to reach up and rub her head, but couldn't. Fayt struggled against whatever was holding her, but was blown off her feet by a sudden, powerful blast of wind. The teen's eyes widened once her vision cleared of the blinking stars, because in front of her was a large black mist of something! And it was rushing right for her! She renewed her struggles, but she couldn't move in time for the black mist to swallow her and-FLASHBACK ENDS "Ack!" Fayt fell on her butt, holding her forehead in obvious pain. Turns out she ran right into a pole, a big pole that was right there! She really needed to stop getting lost in her daydreams. She pushed herself up and brushed herself off. After getting her bearings, she jogged up to the school doors and entered, ignoring the other students who were hanging about outside. It was time to for school, no more dilly dalling around!“Hey Fayt!” Oh there’s Mayray! “Hey Ray!” Fayt waved at the guy standing down the hall. She rushed up to teen and hi-fived him, “So how's it going?” Ray shrugged, and lead the girl down the hall to their home room, “I’ve been okay I guess, classes are going well enough and the family is getting better. But other than that it’s the same as always. You?” “That sucks, an me? Well, I’ve been doing just fine, I made up a character race for my story and I’m learning how to make Veal from Ren.” Ray nodded with his eyes closed, before pausing, “Veal?” She nodded, “Yes Veal, Deer, Red meat.” He shook his head, 'honestly what's with this girl and her love of game meats. Though it does have some sort of appeal.' The brown eyed teen cocked his head towards her, "So did you do your homework?" The girl paused, "Homework?" Ray started snickering, before it turned into a full out laugh. Blond glared at him, then started poking him on his chest, "It's not funny! I seriously forgot!" Ray wagged his finger in her face as they stopped in front of the class doors, "Try telling Teach that." He went in. Fayt groaned loudly, 'Im doomed.' She slumped and entered the classroom slowly, glancing sheepishly at the teacher looking at her with a raised brow. He shook his head and waved her to her seat. “Well this is a nice start to my day…” she mumbled under her breath, plopping down in the seat next to Ray. “I know, beautiful isn’t it? A great day.” The teach hushed them and started his lesson. She groaned again. Fayt set her lunch tray on the table and slumped into the chair, she eyed the food warily, it was some sort of mystery meat. “How much you want to bet that it's cat meat?” The blond made a face at her friend, before poking her food with her fork. “I miss Ren’s cooking already, should’ve had him pack me a lunch before I left.” Ray chuckled, sipping from the chocolate milk box. “As if any food made by Ren will survive once you unbox it.” That was true, the last time she brought any food made by her big brother, she was swarmed by other kids trying to get some, thirsty brats. She snorted and popped some of the meat in her mouth, she chewed slowly before opening her mouth to speak. “Don’t talk with your mouth full, thats gross.” Fayt rolled her eyes and swallowed, “I was going to tell you about something that has been going on lately.” The black haired teen cocked his head to the side, “You mind talking about it in public?” She nodded, “Well fire away.” “Okay so this is whats happening. Two days ago I’ve started having these really strange dreams, and after I have them I wake up feeling exhausted. Not to mention the pain I keep feeling in my back, teeth and ears. It’s like some sort of tingly pain you feel if you get smacked,” Ray set his drink down and stared at Fayt blankly, he waved his hand in the ‘Go on’ gesture. “And the dreams… they usually start off like my normal dreams, but half way in it turns into this white area. And I mean blinding white! I start feeling really heavy and the pain starts up, I would try to move but it felt like I had thick chain holding me down. No matter how hard I struggle I just can’t break free! It’s stressing! After trying to get free, I notice a black misty thing rushing at me! I could only watch as it came at me and-" Ray smacked his hand over her mouth and patted her back as she panicked. "Calm down, you're going to give yourself a panic attack!" He looked around at the room, some of the kids were looking towards them with various emotions. Ray let go of Fayt and leaned back on his chair, huffing quietly. Whilst the teen regained her bearing, the other shook his head with disbelief. "... It makes no sense..," Fayt glanced up at him, "How the hell are you having those same dreams that i'm having?" "You too?" He nodded. “I don’t remember when exactly it started, but I started having a dream exactly how you described it every other night. I feel heavy and pained, the black mist has only recently started to appear to me. Probably last week. Fayt, what do you think it all means, after all you're the dream interpreter of us two.” Fayt rubbed the back of her head, she didn’t really consider herself good at interpreting dreams, but she always liked to try. “Well, I think that the dream is trying to tell us something you know? It keeps happening over and over, like a warning of some sort. I'm not sure what it’s trying to warn us of, and i’m not sure what the black mist or pain means.” Ray crossed his arms, “Well maybe the pain is a sign of something changing on our body? Like growing pains. I’m not sure about the mist, but maybe it’s something trying to get us, if that makes any sense.” He shook his head, “This is all so confusing, I brushed it off as a odd recurring dream, but now that I know that you’re having it too? It makes no sense.” Fayt sighed, “Maybe we should just stop worrying about it. Want to come over to my house to finish up our playthrough of Witcher 3?” “Sure, Is Ren going to be cooking?” Fayt grinned, “Yeah, he is the only one who makes more than cereal. He should be off work by 6, you walking or you need a ride?” “A Ride, It's going to be raining by the time I need to leave.” “Okay okay, Let's just get through this first.” They high-fived and headed out of the cafeteria. Later, both of the teens were sitting on the plush couch in Fayt’s living room. Fayt wrapped herself tight in a light blanket, watching as the male’s eyes stared intently at the screen in front of them. Ray brushed his bangs back, huffing darkly as he watched his client fall off the cliff. “I hate escort missions. I hate them!” he growled, handing the controller to the girl. “AI is stupid, They always do themselves in and screw me over.” Fayt shrugged, “Hey, when I played Dragon’s dogma dark arisen, my Pawns killed my escort clients half the time. My main pawn throws my lover in that game off cliffs or into water whenever he can. It’s kinda cute you know?” Ray rolled his eyes, “Yeah real cute. I don’t see how you think it’s cute if it’s your arisen’s lover?” The teen shrugged, “He’s overprotective, I think that’s cute.” She giggled and focused on the game. The other teen stood up and stretched, he looked around before walking behind the couch to lean over Fayt. “Where’s my shoes? I’m going to go out back for a bit.” “Why would I know? I sat down first, then you. Just grab one of Ren’s slippers and head out. You know where they are.” “Didn't have to be snappy about it.” He grumbled, leaving the room. Fayt kicked her sock covered feet, leaning back farther into the couch. “And the bird sails through the sky, like a bullet flies through the still air.” she spoke quietly. | |
