Syrian Roane stood before the small pokemon lab facility. She was in a small town in the rural areas of the Sinnoh Region. She believed the town was called 'Sandgem,' but she wasn't sure. Syrian had just moved to the Sinnoh Region from Kalos, and she was rather unhappy about it. She had been looking forward to her journey through Kalos, and had spent her last year studying everything about Kalos in order to be ready, only for her father to suddenly change jobs and drag her family to Sinnoh!

So if Syrian had a rather unpleasant look upon her face, this would be the reason why. She stood, tapping her foot impatiently while throwing a pokeball up in the air and catching it with only her left hand. Her other arm was on her hip in a gesture of impatience, while her pokemon, a snorunt named Aurae, sat on her right shoulder.

She was impatiently awaiting the appearance of Professor Rowan. Upon her arrival in Sinnoh, she had been informed that she would have to receive her Trainer ID and pokedex from the professor, who, coincidentally, lived in the town that was the furthest possible city from where her family was now living -in Snowpoint City.

So now here she was, on her own in Sandgem, awaiting the arrival of the half-hour-late professor, and she was getting more and more irritated with each passing moment.

Aurae:

Caim merely continued to walk away, having no interest in regards to fighting or to continue arguing, at least until she used THAT phrase, the one he knew was complete nonsense from what he had personally endured. Letting off a sigh, he looked back towards her. "No, what doesn't kill you doesn't make you stronger, it makes your life a living hell, to the point you wish it killed you in the first place" He commented, before walking off towards the exit to the town. It was true that if they didn't fight Rika wouldn't get stronger, but throwing her into foolish fights wasn't his intention, nor would it ever be.

Rika merely nodded with his words and let out a supporting cry, seeming to likewise agree with his statement.

Syrian stopped dead at the words thrown back at her. She blinked rapidly, wondering what on earth the male had to have gone through to be so embittered against the world. Perhaps she had pushed him too hard? She knew that sometimes she could be overbearing and didn't know when to shut her mouth -this seemed like one of those times.

She let the male walk away, and looked down at Aurae. "I put my big fat foot in my mouth again, didn't I, Aurae?" She commented to her snorunt.

Aurae looked up at her trainer and gave a shake of her body that indicated a 'yes.' She then heatbutted her trainer on the leg, her sign for wanting to be picked up. Syrian followed her pokemon's request and picked up the ice type, snuggling Aurae in her arms.

"Well, next time I see him, I'll just have to apologize," she said, and then walked towards the pokemart. She had some supplies to buy before heading out into the wilderness, where she hoped to battle a little, and maybe even catch a new pokemon!

Caim merely walked towards the route to the north of the town, sending Rika back out in the process. The Murkrow let off a cry and returned to his shoulder, taking a moment to look down at her trainer. She could easilly tell that he wasn't happy, to that end, she let off numerous cries as if trying to reassure him that it'd be fine.

I'll be fine... Just someone acting like a pain... Let's just get to work on catching another friend... It'd be better for both of us" He spoke towards his Murkrow, his tone having become somewhat kinder than how it was before. Despite how he usually acted to people, he clearly cared deeply about his Pokemon, regardless of what others would think of the sudden mood shift.

Having acquired items from the Pokemart earlier, he walked on to the grassy northern route with determination to acquire something useful.

After Syrian's stop at the pokemart to buy some pokeballs and potions, she headed towards the route to the north of Sandgem Town, Aurae in her arms. Syrian was ready for whatever the wilds were going to throw at her!

Upon coming to the first patch of tall grass, Syrian looked down at the snorunt in her arms. "Are you ready for this, Aurae? We're about to make our first steps in being a proper trainer and pokemon team! Let's do our best, ok?"

Her snorunt made a happy squealing noise, indicating that she was excited as well about the journey that they were about to start.

Syrian stepped into the grass, and started to make her way across the field of blindingly tall stalks of the green blades.

Before heading into the large quantities of grass, Caim glanced towards his Murkrow friend and shook his head in an odd fashion. In actuality, it was sign language, he was asking the Pokemon to fly upwards and scan the area prior to entering the danger zone.

The Murkrow let off an affirmative cry and flew upwards into the air, however it remained within her trainers range of vision. He began flying over the grassy route, scanning for trainers and Pokemon. The Pokemon I'd remained hidden in the grass from what she could tell, however trainers along the route were visible, just like when they passed through previously.

Flying back down to her partner, the Murkrow landed on the ground and began signing out words through taapping on the ground in a manner similar to Morse code. "I see... Thank you, Rika" He spoke, his tone relatively soft in nature.
