| Taking the lead.... was not something Sova fancied doing. However, most of the group he was with didn't quite seem capable of leading the way and he didn't want to make Mirage have to do it, so he decided to do it himself. No one seemed to complain, so all seemed well.... then they reached the end of the hall they'd gone down, with a fairly normal-looking door. He pushed it open to find what appeared to be the inside of a cylindrical tower, with a stairway spiraling up along the single, circular wall. He looked up to see there were torches lined along the wall in the same pattern as the stairs. The lights clearly continued very far up, but he couldn't seem to see the ceiling. Was it really that far up, or was this just some kind of optical illusion created by the house?
"Uuuh.... I hope no one's afraid of heights," he said to the group as he held the door open for them, still staring up. None of them could fly, so this place seemed pretty dangerous for everyone in the group. They would likely get to a point where one wrong move could condemn someone to.... death. He wasn't too worried about it being his own death, but some of the members of their merry little group were probably nowhere near as experienced as him.
Krikka followed along, trying to stay in the middle of the group so that if anyone got attacked, it wouldn't be her. She looked in her bag as she walked to see if Plush-Vee was still there, and sure enough, it was. Maybe there'd been a Ghost-type trying to scare her using it before, but it didn't seem interested in moving anymore, so whatever had been going on with it didn't seem to be going on anymore. That didn't matter, though, she was fine with just having the plush doll with her.... it looked nice.
The eevee then turned her attention to her chest, rubbing it with a paw to feel her burn. She could barely feel it, maybe all those Oran berries she'd gotten Sova to give her had helped! The black marks of the burn on her fur had also begun to fade and she no longer felt half-crippled, it was almost like she was as good as new. Of course, she didn't quite feel perfect, but it was at least better than the state she'd been in directly after her fight.

| Although Mirage liked the change of pace, she was wondering just why they had gone deeper into the house rather than, oh she didn't know, LEAVING? She had passed out once, apparently been given some kind of bath, had to deal with pip and squeak, and now some mutt had joined them in their adventure into this dungeon. The zoroark only grunted in acknowledgement and mindlessly wandered forward, since someone else was leading she allowed herself to get a bit lost in her thoughts, continuing to be rather haunted by that strange vision of her slaughter from that Memento.
Victoria had been observing Krikka along the way, noticing that she had become rather obsessed with the plush toy. She wondered if there was some kind of emotional connection between the two, long lost family treasure or something perhaps. She doubted it though, if there was a family treasure it certainly wasn't going to be a stupid doll. The tyrunt looked back to Sova, and wondered just where they were headed again. She was simply following these guys, but why were they here in the first place.
Zera strut about in his new form, his ego having been obviously boosted by the evolution of turning into the great form of a houndoom. If only the pack leader could see him now, if only his entire pack could see him now! Oh how they would WISH they had stayed with him, how they would WISH he would rejoin them. No, he would not. He would create his own pack! That was, until after he was capable of beating his current boss. He had no problems with this boss, but it was in his pack's customs to obey the strong and try to replace the leader.

| Seeing how no-one seemed interested in replying, Sova took the liberty of assuming no one was afraid of heights and got moving up the staircase. It seemed like a long way up and he really didn't want to have a long, boring, silent walk when there was the option of having so many allies to chat with, so he tried to think up a conversation topic. He knew one of the group was an outlaw and knew almost for certain that the rest were at the very least third-parties unaffiliated with the law, so no topic of conversation seemed taboo here. However, he was having trouble thinking of anything to talk about that would garner the attention of the rest of the group.
"So, why's everyone here?," he questioned, finally deciding on a sort of sharing-time. Everyone would be interested in that, because everyone would get to talk about themselves! It'd also be a great way for them to get to know one another. However, he didn't really have much to add, since he was only really here to try and entertain Mirage.... and get back to the elusive forest he'd been to before. Still, he had no problems with just listening to the others, as long as he had something to pay attention to other than what was looking to be a very long walk.
Krikka stuck to her position in the middle of the group, selfishly looking out for her own safety over anyone else's. It seemed fair, too, considering she seemed to be the weakest of the group. The only one who could possibly compare seemed to be Victoria, judging from the size of the tyrunt, but she knew that given she was an eevee, she was probably physically weaker. That was just a fact eevees had to accept if they wanted to stay alive, they were weak until they evolved.
When the question of why everyone was here came up, Krikka considered moving to the back of the group to avoid having to tell her reasoning. That was mostly because she didn't want anyone to know her real reason and didn't have a good excuse. "I'm here to stalk Mirage" seemed.... bad, but what else was she going to say? Maybe treasure hunting? Either way, she was just going to stay silent and hope no one called her out for not talking.

| Mirage was silent, Sova knew full well why she was here. It was only because of him that she was here. The Zoroark tuned out the others, instead focusing on what was in front of them in case something decided to jump out of the ground and go 'boo' or something. She could tear it apart and throw it to the side, relieve some stress or something. Her eyes saw nearly perfectly in the darkness, though she had a rather uneasy feeling brewing within her...as if something bad was about to happen...
Victoria was about to answer, but Zera cut her off, eager to be the first to answer Boss's question, "I was looking for my own territory to claim!" he announced proudly with his chest puffed out and a smile on his face. He could also see just fine in this darkness, due to being a dark type, but not as well as Mirage. He did not usually live by the moonlight, since he favored the warmth of the sun on his back. Now that he thought about it, maybe this wasn't the best place to claim territory...there was no sun.
After the oh so rude interruption, Victoria cleared her throat, showing she was obviously irritated by it. She spoke, "I came looking for a necklace that was said to look similar to mine. These necklaces usually signify some kind of heirloom, so I was wondering if there was some kind of kingdom similar to my father's here and if they knew my father. That drifloon back there couldn't have been it though...it was too pathetic to be a king."

| Sova couldn't help but find the houndoom's answer.... entertaining. Who would want this place for territory? First off, there were quite a lot of very dangerous pokémon in a certain area of this chateau, ones that gave even himself trouble dealing with. Granted, though, he'd been held back by his allies and required to leave the throne room before he could finish his playtime the first time he'd been here, which meant he didn't know if he was capable of beating such a threatening array of enemies. He certainly wanted to try, though. Maybe Mirage would be interested in that, as she didn't seem particularly entertained with this place so far.... not that he could blame her with how the exploration had been going.
While he merely nodded to acknowledge the houndoom's explanation, Victoria's interested him much more. "I wish it'd been a legit king.... maybe a king would actually be fun to fight. A drifloon's.... boring," he responded, openly expressing his love of fighting. It was odd, he like fighting, but he didn't like being seriously hurt, losing or easily winning. In hindsight, it was very difficult to please him.... he was very picky.
Krikka listened to the answers of the others, noting that Mirage and Sova seemed to be neglecting to answer. Maybe they didn't have interesting reasons for being here? She certainly felt her own reason would be interesting to some of the others.... probably in all the wrong ways, so she wasn't interested in taking part in this sharing session. To make matters worse, the ones she was really interested in knowing about weren't talking, only the houndoom she didn't really care about and Victoria. Well, at least she knew the tyrunt's reason for being here now, she supposed that was better than nothing. Treasure, from the sounds of it. Maybe if they found the location of the aforementioned necklace, there would be other treasure there as well!

| Victoria nodded, "A king is strong, or queen, must be strong in order to protect their kingdom in times of need," she sighed though. She was no where near as strong as these two she was relying on to escort her. If these two decided to turn against her kingdom one day, she would be unable to protect it even if she had some army built up. The tyrunt fell silent, thinking of ways to perhaps improve upon herself and her strength. Mirage kept to herself, remaining quiet and letting any chance of her being a part of the conversation die. She didn't need to be a part of it anyways, she was not some socially dependent clinger...even though she did talk for the sake of talking plenty of times before. She was not proud of it at the moment, wondering if outlaws ever did those kind of things. They were often solitary, and she had been doing that rather successfully. She stomped every rescue team they were sending after her, and she left them to their own devices within the forest, she was the perfect outlaw. Right? Zera seemed to be walking along obliviously joyful with his tail wagging. He did not seem to mind the silence, his pack had often traveled like this. He was right at home at the moment, save for the creepy staircase of death. | "I'm not interested in whether or not they're protecting a kingdom, just whether or not they can entertain me," Sova responded, keeping his gaze set on the stairs as he ascended them. It was his job to make sure there was nothing ahead to threaten the group, he supposed, although it was a pain to have to be the leader. It was funny, he used to love being the leader, now it just seemed.... not worth his time to do such a thing if it wasn't necessary. He was interested in proving he was strong, not in being in charge of others' safety. The only time he wanted to be in charge of the life of someone else was with his paw over their throat. Suddenly, as the glaceon was distracted looking in front of him, something flew out of the wall to his right, knocking him towards the edge of the staircase. Instead of trying to regain his balance, he merely leaped over the edge, taking in a deep breath and blowing a wave of Frost Breath at the thing he managed to get a good look at.... a haunter. It phased into the wall and avoided the attack just in time, so he then focused on his landing. Turning around, he noticed another of the pests coming out of the wall to the left near the section of the staircase he'd been planning to land on. One of its hands shot forward like a bullet in a Sucker Punch, but it merely smacked into the glaceon's side, not fazing him at all. He pointed his legs toward the thing and merely landed his front legs on it, slamming it onto the floor as it'd been forced to make itself tangible to hit him. Before the haunter could get away, a Shadow Ball formed in front of Sova's face and fired at the ground in front of him, enveloping both of them in a dark haze as it exploded and obscuring them from view. "We've got company," he called out as the black haze faded, revealing the haunter to be unconscious. There had to be at least one more, as he highly doubted such a weak haunter could manage to travel through the walls in a half-circle before he could just jump from one end of the tower to the other. Krikka remained silent, though she was a bit displeased by Victoria's explanation of a king or queen's job. Her earlier idea of trying to become a queen seemed a bit far-fetched now with the fact that she had to be strong in mind. Being an eevee, she was weak and she was very painfully aware of it.... but this wasn't too much of a problem . Weakness was something that could be changed, so if she needed more than just cunning to be a queen, she could surely find a way to manage that. The little eevee was taken away from her thoughts as a commotion started up at the front of the group, with the current party leader seemingly being pushed towards the edge of the stairs, then jumping off and attacking. She could see something retreat into the wall to avoid the attack and immediately realized it was something that was using the walls to attack. With that in mind, she backed away from the wall, moving as close to the stairs as she could comfortably get, just in case it decided to attack her. Though.... it appeared to be a Ghost-type, which would have trouble hurting her given her Normal-typing, right? | ((Im a big fucking tard forget the rolls after the five rolls))
Mirage snarled as Sova was suddenly attacked, she saw that two haunters seemed to be attacking. Her claw began to glow dark before thrashing it outward in a Dark Pulse. It missed the haunter, but it was taken cared of by Sova. She huffed, at least it was being taken care of, she didn't care who did it so long as it was done. She snorted as one of the haunters seemed to be crushed by a single Shadow Ball, however it seemed to be holding up its two floating fists in front of it, enduring the attack.
Zera yelped in surprise as boss was attacked, "Boss!" he called in fear only to see that Boss was perfectly fine. He would have released a Flamethrower, but he was too scared of hurting Boss at the same time on accident. In frustration, the houndoom lifted his head in a Howl, causing an echo in the strange place as his attack was raised. His blood began pumping, and he really felt like he wanted to bite something right now.
Victoria backed against the wall as things that could float suddenly began attacking. She had never seen these weird things before, and it would be easy for one of them to grab her and simply drop her from a high height. She growled, glaring at a haunter as one suddenly faced her from a distance. It unleashed a sudden yellowish light, as a strange orb shot towards Victoria, using Skill Swap.

| Sova glared at the haunter trapped under him as it managed to apparently pull through his attack. "What, wanna give me another love tap?," he taunted in reference to the pathetic Sucker Punch, giving a rather malevolent smirk before the ghost phased through the stairs to escape him. He didn't feel like sticking around in this situation, not feeling a few weak haunter were worth his time. He began a calm and casual ascent back up the stairs, not expecting anyone to have any trouble with these things, when he noticed Victoria being.... attacked? The move wasn't something he could recall having seen before, but it must have been an attack, right?
Krikka was having trouble focusing on what was happening, but she did her best. Ghost-things attacking, Sova and Mirage handling one.... well, Mirage trying to help and missing. The houndoom didn't seem to be doing anything yet, just howling. Then she noticed one of the ghosts seemed to be attacking Victoria! Expecting to be able to completely negate the attack with her own body, she darted in front of it. The attack hit her and at first, she thought it worked since it didn't hurt. Then she felt her paws suddenly leave the ground as she began to uncontrollably float, the ghost suddenly falling out of the sky at the same time as if they'd switched roles. "H-huh!? What's happening!?," she questioned frantically as she continued to rise up.
Sova began to realize what the strange attack had been as the eevee in the group blocked it, beginning to float as the haunter that'd used it suddenly dropped out of the sky. Skill Swap.... and the haunter had been foolish enough to trade away its ability to levitate for.... well, nothing an eevee could offer in that situation would be very useful. The glaceon's fur flash-froze into spiky armor before he bolted off the section of the staircase he was currently on, ramming into the haunter as it fell and slamming it into the wall on the opposite side of the tower before landing on the stairs just below his allies. This fighting was putting him further down the longer it continued.... He allowed the ghost to fall from its current place in the wall, revealing cracks left by the force of the impact that showed he was getting serious not in the mood to deal with setbacks.

| Mirage watched the glaceon thrash the haunter, while a certain eevee began to float into the sky. She watched the sight, unamused by the spectacle. Welp, not her problem. Mirage turned to keep climbing the steps, only going a few steps before another Haunter appeared in her face. She glared at it as it made silly faces, before her claw suddenly slashed across it and sent it flying to the other wall in a Night Slash. She was getting in a rather foul mood, when was something that was worth her effort going to come up?
Zera looked up to Mirage as he spotted her leading the way yet again. He spotted a Sableye ahead of them in the shadows, however it seemed to be closer to the wall and uninterested in what was going on. It almost looked kind of depressed. However to Zera, he did not care. He wanted to wait for Boss. He looked down over to boss and waited for him to get ahead. He was the pack leader, so the pack leader had to lead. That's how it always was was it not.
"Krikka!" Victoria exclaimed, watching as the eevee suddenly began floating upwards in her stead. She was kind of touched that the eevee had taken the attack for her. She attempted to jump and bite the tip of the eevee's tail in hopes of dragging her back down to the ground, but failed. Her arms were a bit too short to reach the eevee, so she looked with a panicked face towards Mirage, who was walking away as if she did not care. How was she supposed to get Krikka down? "C-Can you control it?" Victoria asked, wondering if the eevee could control it like the haunter did. She knew the eevee had pretty much abandoned her for a doll earlier, but that did not mean she needed to be an absolute ass about it too.

| Krikka slowly floated upward until she bumped into the next segment of stairs above her, which stopped her ascent. She looked down to the tyrunt who was speaking and tried not to show her worry at this situation. "Uh.... I'm not sure," she admitted, before rolling over to place her paws on the underside of the stairs. It felt weird to basically be standing upside down, but it didn't really seem like there were any other options. She carefully walked over to the edge of the staircase and grabbed onto it with her front paws to stop her from floating up as she tried to get used to floating. Maybe this could actually be a good thing, something to let her climb the stairs faster and easier! "I think I've got it," she updated, feeling that maybe she could just carefully float up toward the next segment of the stairs, climb over them, rinse and repeat.
Sova took a moment to stare at the unconscious body of the haunter before looking up to what was happening above him. Sadly, he was currently being blocked from seeing any of the other group, being directly below them and blocked off by the spiraling stairs. However, he did notice what appeared to be a haunter flying across the gap in the spiral towards the other wall, before colliding with the wall rather loudly. Mirage, he figured, doubting the capabilities of the others do to something like that.
The glaceon barely got a single step into the walk back up to the rest of the group before the haunter who'd just barely survived his attack earlier flew through the floor in front of him. He immediately lifted a paw and slammed it into the side of the ghost's face before pushing it away from the stairs and blowing a shot of Frost Breath at it. Out of the created icy mist cloud fell an unconscious haunter, down towards the floor. It wasn't too far of a drop, maybe it would survive, but it made no difference to him. The thing had gotten a chance to escape and instead chose to instead continue trying to attack him.
With the problem dealt with, Sova took a calming breath before bolting back up the stairs, reaching the back of the group fairly quickly. Since he didn't feel like having to move around anyone to get back to the front, he merely leaped over to the opposite side of the stairs, this time aiming for the high side and managing to reach it, albeit barely. Mirage's little distraction had managed to stall her long enough for the glaceon to be able to even get in front of her with his reckless jump, because apparently leading others and making sure they didn't get hurt was worth risking his own safety. Why was he like this?

| Mirage turned her head as a glaceon suddenly appeared at the edge of the stairs in front of her. She took no action towards it, knowing it was Sova. She passed by the small gremlin, continuing whether the useful thing and meat shields followed or not. The gremlin made no move to help its haunter friends, and no moves to attack her company. She continued to ignore the flying eevee, it still was not her problem, so why worry.
Zera watched the boss leap to be in front of Mirage, once boss was ahead did Zera keep moving. He noticed the Sableye, it seemed to be drinking an empty tea cup. What was with him? He ignored the Sableye, he was not a part of Boss's pack, so he did not worry about it.
Victoria watched the eevee float upwards to the stairs, before utilizing it, "Be careful," Victoria warned, "For all we know it could wear off at any moment and we don't have any fliers to catch you..." why wasn't Veriq here again? Oh yeah she told him to stay at the kingdom. She was kind of regretting that now, not only would they probably be able to get out of here faster, but they could help the eevee a bit more if the levitation decided to suddenly disappear.

| As Krikka floated upwards, she looked down towards the rest of the group. They weren't far away, so she still felt free to try and get used to this whole floating thing. However, as she got a bit higher, she noticed something.... odd. The feeling of where "up" was suddenly changed, she.... felt like one of the sides of the wall was up! It was such an odd feeling, maybe it was from levitating? Well, the rest of the group would be where she'd begun to feel this soon, so maybe she could just see if any of them felt anything similar. No harm done, right? "Don't worry, I'm staying near the stairs. I feel kinda.... weird, though," she replied, remembering that Victoria had spoken to her.
Sova hurried along, wanting to keep in the lead and figuring Mirage would get impatient and walk ahead of him if he didn't immediately get going. He paid no mind to the sableye, it wasn't bothering them so they didn't need to bother it. However, it was odd to see the things in this place not helping each other, as he'd previously known them to always team up against intruders. He wasn't going to complain about not having to deal with another setback, though. As he walked, he looked back to the rest of the group and up to the eevee who was a bit ahead of them due to suddenly being able to float. Just a head count to make sure everyone was alright and following along.
As his attention was caught with making sure everyone was okay, he didn't notice the gravity suddenly shift as he walked until it was too late. He suddenly fell OFF the stairs towards the near wall, landing on his side and damaging his icy armor. Luckily, the armor had still managed to absorb a lot of the impact, so he hadn't really felt much. Luckily, the gravity hadn't shifted to the far wall instead. That would have hurt. He looked back to see that everyone else was still walking on the stairs just fine.... but now, the stairs seemed to be more of walls from his perspective. "Uh.... careful," he said, not really sure how to explain the danger here to anyone.

| Mirage watched as the glaceon suddenly be yanked to the wall. However he seemed fine save for the crash into the wall. She stared for a moment, processing what happened before calmly placing her paws onto the wall where Sova had fallen onto it and hopping towards the wall. The gravity took over and she was able to land safely on her feet. No problem, unlike Sova. It probably helped that he went first. However now they faced the problem of having to climb OVER the stairs rather than on them. The stairs were easy enough for her, she could probably climb onto one and just jump to the next set. However she figured that it would be a bit dangerous, so she merely climbed down again in case gravity decided to shift again.
Victoria stared as Sova suddenly fell and Mirage started to walk on the wall with ease. She neared the wall, sticking her nose out carefully. She felt a force tug at her nose in a different direction. She walked forward, only to drop like the rock type she was when she crossed over the strange boundary. Her eyes were wide with confusion, how was this even possible? Was was this place even possible? She swallowed, forcing herself onto her feet before watching Mirage climb over the simple wall.
Zera was quite surprised when Boss suddenly decided to walk on the wall. The Zoroark started walking on the wall too along with the slab of meat. He tried to repeat what the fox-thing did, only to fail spectacularly and end up falling like Victoria. How he managed to do that, even he did not know. The Houndoom picked himself up, the walls of the stairs now becoming their enemy. He and Mirage could easily climb over it, Zera with a bit more difficulty, but what about the meat slab, Boss, and the fluffy?

| Sova got to his paws cautiously as everyone else made their way through the apparent gravity-warped area, some more gracefully than others. He looked up to what'd previously been stairs above him, now being a wall blocking his path. More of a hurdle, really. Maybe he could jump over it, but he didn't fancy finding out. Besides, he had a much better idea. He backed up a few steps before bolting between the stair-hurdle-things to his left and right, running up the circular wall that now served as a floor and ceiling. He could stick to this much easier than a normal wall due to the curve, so it was easy to run up it by dropping his body temperature to help with traction, but he didn't need to get too far up it anyways. He leaped off just as he reached the halfway point, aiming towards the center of the circular stair-hurdle that surrounded the tunnel and managing to get through it with the extra elevation. Of course, Ice Shard's speed properties helped as well.
Krikka floated along carelessly as she watched the others seemingly have the gravity shift under them. Ah, so she wasn't crazy after all, the gravity in the area was changing! With this in mind, she continued onward, beginning to get the hang of the whole levitation thing. She could push off walls and such to give herself a boost in the floating and propel herself in a direction, but it also seemed that she could float in directions just by wanting to. Or maybe it was something she was doing with her body and she didn't realize it. Either way, now that she was learning how to properly use it, she allowed herself to drift away from the walls and the stairs, just floating around in the room. She could feel the gravity seeming to change again, but it didn't mat-
Then she fell.
The eevee couldn't help but let out a scream as her new-found levitation suddenly disappeared at the most inconvenient of times, just as she was passing through another shift of gravity. She suddenly went from floating to falling, and worse yet, she wasn't falling toward the rest of the group! How would anyone catch her if she was going in the OPPOSITE direction of them!? Oh, no, they wouldn't, she was going to die! No, it was too soon, was there perhaps anything in her bag that could help her!?
As Sova ran along the new walls and hopped through the hurdles, not paying much attention to the rest of the group and somehow managing to allow himself to get to the back of the group, a sound from the front of the group made his body fall cold.... in a bad way. A scream, and it sounded like the eevee! He acted mostly on instinct, picking up his pace and jumping into the wall before jumping off of it and through the next hurdle, catching a glimpse of the eevee.... falling forward. OH, the gravity was going to shift again ahead and she'd already reached it.... and the levitation had worn off!
The glaceon landed on the ledge of the stairway-hurdle, taking no time to balance before carelessly leaping forward and landing on the next hurdle, doing his best to keep a fast pace. He leaped forward from his perch once more, only to slam into the edge of the next wall, just barely managing not to clear it. However, instead of it blocking him, he merely smashed through it before falling to the ground on the other side and tumbling, immediately forcing himself back onto his paws. Not feeling he had enough time to get back into jumping position, he merely charged straight into the next barrier, smashing through it and immediately feeling gravity tug him down as he reached the area where it shifted. He slid down the wall and managed to land on his paws on what was now the staircase once more, before leaping off and into the abyss that awaited him.
A vortex of snow began to form and swirl around Sova as he fell down, speeding his descent up. Seeing it wasn't really enough, though, he instead sent the Blizzard down toward the falling eevee, enveloping her and managing to slow her fall dramatically with the powerful Blizzard winds. With that done, he reached Krikka in seconds, wrapping his front paws around the eevee. Great, now he had to try and avoid falling to the ground and dying, but he couldn't exactly fly.... Well, there was only really one option, then. Other than dying, of course. His Blizzard began to swirl around him once more, before all flying to his left side and slamming into him, knocking him into the wall on the right side of the tunnel. Granted controlling a literal blizzard was hard, he caused himself to slam into the wall a bit harder than preferred, shattering most of his icy armor on his right side and leaving cracks on the decayed wall. He fell from the wall and collapsed on the staircase, releasing the eevee who was now unconscious.
Krikka watched in very clear terror as she grew certain her life was about to end. She was no longer pretending to be someone else, she was scared and was showing it, very much so. Not that it mattered. However, instead of hitting the ground, a flurry of freezing, white, blinding wind suddenly enveloped her. In moments, she slipped out of consciousness from the severe pain of the attack, completely unaware of what'd just happened.
