Eye Opener

((RP's open to anybody, Azalea here probably needs a tour de guild so she can make a decision on what she wants to do -coughcoughgetmotivatedtojoincoughcough- ))

Well, that conversation was an... interesting one, Azalea the Budew thought to herself, heading over to the large tower known as Grassveil's Explorer Guild. (Though unbeknownst to her yet.) Of all the things she had seen in this town, this tower has got to be the most interesting one of them all. It had such a large and imposing presence in the distance with all these older, bigger Pokemon walking through it. Obviously, it had to be something important! she thought.

She stumbled a bit, but slowly walked through the entrance to the Guild, looking around. This place was even bigger up close. The first thing she initially noticed however, further looking inwards, was the bulletin boards that littered the walls of the front hallway. She walked up to it hesitantly, squinting her already shut eyes to take a closer look. "What are these... wanted papers?" She mumbled to herself. Did I stumble into a jail or something? Or is this town full of bandits?! Should I high-tail it out of here?! It was too far up for her to really take a close gander at.

Azeral looked at the jobs posted on the walls for a while, she needed to find a job for her and Joey to do later on. Az took a look at one but shook her head. "Maybe we should take a break from missions, we have done a lot." Az asked herself placing her hands in her coats pockets, she wondered if she should of let Aaron go after what happened at the pond, she had been to lenient when he tried to attack her, a fellow guild member. "What's done is done Az, no need to dwell on it." Az said softly before turning away from the job lists.

As she did this she noticed a smaller Pokemon trying to read one of the wanted posters, Az hadn't recalled any Budews joining the guild so she was a bit curious about this. Az threw her hood off her head revealing her Ralts head and walked over to the Pokemon. "Excuse me, are you trying to read one of the wanted posters?" Az questioned in a kind voice.

At this point, Azalea was trying her best to read the small text and was leaning on her tip toes to see. When she heard another Pokemon's voice though, she almost immediately snapped out of what she was doing and looked around, eyes locking to the Ralts. Her face immediately grew color on it, the yellow face tinged with pink embarrassment. She was staring at you, you know, a voice cut into her head. Why, why me...

[color#66ff66]"Oh..."[/color] She murmured out, a little frozen from surprise, but eventually regained her cool. The same frown as always sat on her face. "Yeah, I was. What is this place? I'm fairly new in town." Hopefully now, this ALSO wasn't a newcomer, otherwise that would've been quite something to tell about later on. Imagine! A day full of Azalea only meeting newcomers! She swore she could've cried that day, because there were no adults around and everyone felt as lost as her, ha! Azalea shook off the fantasy in her head and looked up to the Ralts for answers.

Az thought for a moment and decided the best way to answer this question. "This place is known as the Grassveil guild, A place for all types to come and post missions requesting help from guild members." Az answered hoping that would clear that up, she was slightly surprised this Budew didn't know about the guild, she had figured that even someone new would of heard about it, though Az wasn't sure considering she had no idea how new this Budew was.

"If you have any questions I'll be able to answer them, I am a guild member after all." Az said wondering if this Budew had any questions or if this Pokemon would want to join the guild, that'd be fun.

Well, Azeral had to say 'I can answer your questions', and thus, dozens of questions popped up in Azalea's mind. But first things, first, she had to clear up her mind with the most important question she had to ask this Ralts in the first place. "What's a guild?" Because honestly, Azalea has lived her whole life in a remote area devoid of guilds. She has never even heard the word before today.

Another question popped up in her mind. "What kind of missions do you go on...? Like... what do you do? And why is this place so big? Could you show me around?" These are all questions that she very much wanted to know, this was new info to absorb. Perhaps, maybe this kind of stuff is exciting... I gotta know more about it. She thought to herself. Not to judge, but if a Ralts can make it in here, then surely someone like me can make it too, right?

"A guild is a place where others can post jobs for guild members to do, it ranges from small jobs to just helping someone out with a few things they can't handle alone, to jobs where some guild members have to dive into a dungeon to rescue someone. After a mission is done the guild member gets payment and items from the client who asked for the mission to be done." Az said hoping that would answer the question about what a guild is for, the next question was another easy one to answer.

"The missions I go on are some of the basic ones, over there is the board for missions that have another Pokemon requesting something to be done. The ones we are near are outlaw missions where a guild member hunts down someone who has broken the law. Me and my partner just did a mission like that a few days ago." Az then nodded to the secondary question. "I can show you around the guild, I don't have anything else to do at the moment, this area is just the normal floor where guild members accept missions." Az said thinking that was the best description of the area they were in. Az would explain the others if this Pokemon had no other questions of the area.

Handymen. Odd jobs. Community helpers that take jobs to help others out. Lifeguards sometimes. And also vigilantes, too. Azalea looked at the other boards. "So, what, do the people who take up the jobs just write up there, 'Okay, my time to shine', or something? And who requests the bandit ones? And are these missions just like, anywhere in the world?"

So these people get paid as well to help out other people.... Maybe one day I can help them out. Or maybe they can actually help me out. The whole guild thing is now starting to sound much more interesting. If I were able to travel the world because of this, though... If Azalea could rub her metaphorical hands, she'd have done it many times over now. "Alright well, what's the rest of the building like? Surely, there must be a lot of members then, right?" She hopped down to the floor and looked up at the Ralts. A frown came on her face as she realized that even Ralts somewhat tower over her.

"When someone accepts a mission they just write who is accepting the mission and what team they belong to, like if i wanted to accept one I'd put 'Accepted by Azeral' or something like that, you can put whatever you want with it but you have to write your name and team name to actually accept the mission. The one who requests the bandit missions to be done is the police force for when they cannot catch a criminal or if they don't have enough time to catch one. Missions can be anywhere but you have to walk to the area yourself." Az answered all the questions thinking she had done a good job.

"There are quite a few members in the guild." Az said looking over to one of the halls that led to another room. 'Over there is the mess hall where the guild members get fed by the chef, I've never really eaten their myself however, most of the time I'm busy doing something else. There is also a the guild rooms to the right where most of the guild members sleep and through a door over there is where the guildmaster stays, she's the one who accepts people into the guild, anyone can be a guild member or join another team with the leaders of the teams agreement. Which room do you want to look at first?"

"Ah, okay, I see now." She was beginning to understand now that what all of it was and what it was beginning to mean for the town. If this place is in cahoots with generally the entire town and the police force, then that must mean that tons of Pokemon get lost or have issues to deal with. Although.... "Uhhh... show me the Master's room first, please." She would follow wherever this Ralts takes her but she figured that showing her Master's room and potentially meeting the Master of this place could help her make a decision on what she wants to do and maybe help her with evolving, too.


She decided to stay behind the Ralts this entire time, but she did ask what else popped up in her mind most prominently. "What do you mean by 'teams'? Why do you need teams for stuff like this? And do you just get like, someone picked for you or what?"

Azeral nodded and started walking towards the room, it was quite the distance so Az had enough time to answer one question. "Teams are the rescue teams formed when someone joins the guild, you get a badge and you decide what your team name will be. It makes it easier to keep track. After you do a mission a certain amount of points gets added to your team, get enough and you go up a rank and are allowed to do harder missions. This makes it so some smaller weaker team doesn't go up against a A rank mission. Teams are normally formed by one Pokemon and they can ask for others to join up with them to participate on missions, being in a team basically just means you're part of the guild." Az replied to the best of her ability, she thought that covered most of it.

Az walked over and knocked on the door, she waited a bit and there was no answer to be heard even after a few moments of waiting. "I think Faye isn't in right now. Sorry but I think we'd have to wait until she comes back." Az said not wanting to storm into the guild masters room when she wasn't there or sleeping. "The other rooms should be open though." Az said waiting for the Pokemon to respond.

The plant Pokemon did her best to nod in understanding with what small body she has. So teams are like... squads to get stuff done. I wonder if they travel the world...! That would be really cool! "I think I get it now. Do the teams travel a lot? Are there other guilds too? I'm not from around here, so I guess Guilds are like a big thing or something?"

"Yeah, we can check out the other rooms, too. Oh, and what's the Guild Master like?" Is she a meanie? Or a huge jerk? Or a nice person? Or a mom?! "Does she know, like, -everything-? Because I'm like, stuck with this issue, and maybe the Guild could help me out, actually. You know what? If the Guild can help me, then I think I might give it a shot at joining it!" What am I doing?! Shut up, take advantage of this! If the Guild can really help me out, then I can get stronger and bigger! Azalea was bouncing along behind the Ralts, racking her mind with excitement. But there was indeed a look of hesitant caution on her face. "How would I join a Guild anyways? Is there like a trial or something?"

"Yes teams travel a lot around this land, they have to go wherever the mission is taking place. There is only one other guild I know of, a flying type guild up in the clouds. You have to be able to fly to get their though so I've never looked into the guild, you would have to ask someone who has been there." Az answered the easy questions, nothing to big just simple questions she could easily answer.

"She is really nice from the times I've met her, I wouldn't say she knows everything but she is quite smart. It doesn't hurt to ask a question." Az said never asking advice from the guildmaster, she'd normally go to her mother for advice. "You kinda just have to ask, no trial anyone can be part of the guild, either making your own team or joining someones team." Az said walking over to the mess hall just to show this Pokemon the area, no one was in there at least from the looks of it.
