| First topic message reminder :
The Ruined Chateau.... Given Sova had been here once already and explored the interior, it now looked smaller from the outside, all except for the massive double-doors. Then again, given the things he'd witnessed inside, it probably WAS somehow smaller on the outside. Still, this wasn't going to deter or scare him. The only thing he was worried for was anyone else aiming to go there. Today, the one who happened to want to go with him was Varda. This was odd, since the two usually only did missions together, but today.... there was no mission here. Actually, the guild had sort of made it a mission to explore the things happening and this seemed like the place to go, so maybe it was a mission. Just, without the rewards.
He looked up to the sky and stared at the gloomy dark clouds for a moment, as if just making sure the sky wasn't changing before he set his attention back on the Chateau. "Remember, Varda, stay close to me in here. This place will literally change with you in it, so if we get separated, we could have a lot of trouble finding each other. There's also a lot of really dangerous and hostile pokemon in here and since most of the rooms aren't exactly huge, I won't be able to go all out with you here," he explained, relaying his past experience in this horrible house to the swablu.
He wanted his ally to be ready for everything in here, after all. Especially since there was a good chance he was going to need some help.... if not with fighting, then with finding his way around. He would have brought some of his other new allies along, but oddly enough.... the little fluff-ball was still the one he trusted most alongside him. At that, Varda was the only one he trusted to manage to capably and safely navigate this place, and more importantly, to LISTEN to him. Sure, Dusk knew the area given she'd come with him before, but she had mostly just been a hindrance in fights and never listened.

| The drifblim gave a friendly wave of one of its arms to Varda before putting its focus back on the things attacking its new friends. It fired another Shadow Ball into the enemies, aiming for the lampent this time, but the attack was oddly blocked by one of the pumpkaboo for some reason. The rather big and friendly pokemon then glanced at the swablu and noticed the difficulty the bird was having flying, also picking up on the attempt to put the things in the room to sleep. It flew over towards Varda, stopping under him and keeping its body materialized to allow the bird to perch on it. Its only desire in this situation was clearly to help, as opposed to the other, more hostile newcomers. It was luckily able to fight the sleep-singing, even from close range.... at least longer than the other things in the room would be able to.
A few of the threats began dropping to the ground as the swablu's attack effected them, a duskull and two of the pumpkaboo falling unconscious from it. However, it seemed not to effect the drifloon, who was still in a very concentrated state, glowing pink to show it was using Calm Mind. The third pumpkaboo just seemed completely oblivious to the singing, due to having Insomnia. It then seemingly turned on its own ally, spitting a small seed at the lampent. However, it was a Worry Seed, which prevented it from being effected by the singing as well. The pumpkaboo then fired another Worry Seed at the drifloon, though it wasn't fast enough to send seeds to the rest of the hostiles, resulting in all but those three quickly falling asleep. But all three of them seemed pretty confident, as if they had a plan.
The drifblim attempted another Shadow Ball at its prevolution in order to stop the use of Calm Mind, but the pumpkaboo leaped up and blocked the attack, allowing itself to be knocked out instead and showing it really wasn't very strong. The pink glow then subsided from the drifloon, showing it was finished maximizing its power. However, instead of using this massive power spike to attack, it flew over to the lampent and just.... touched it. There was a glow in the drifblim for a second, which then transfered to the lampent.... Baton Pass.
"Singing's not gonna work on these ones," the drifblim stated, in case Varda hadn't already realized it. It then attacked once more, firing another Shadow Ball at the drifloon. Since it'd just transfered all of its defensive - and offensive - power away, the attack managed to knock it out. The lampent wasted no time in attacking, pointing one of its arms forward, which seemed to create a circle of fire on the floor under the drifblim and swablu. The circle then erupted into a pillar of fire moments later, aiming to sear both of them in an Inferno.
Sova laid on the ground, fairly useless to his allies and actually being a rather big burden for once. He began to hear things, but it was not a sign of him snapping out of his pain-induced trance.... no, it was actually quite the opposite. It was a dreaded voice that he hated hearing, his own, echoing through his head in a confident, malevolent tone. "What's the matter, can't get up? I bet I can help with that.... let me take over," the voice assured as he felt himself drifting off, being overwhelmed by the other personality inhabiting his mind. His eyes began to slowly open once more, still seeing red, as he tried to fight off the feeling of fading consciousness. He looked for something to ground himself to reality, but sadly, he couldn't focus enough to see anything and even if he could.... he was in a position to see nothing but a wall.

| As Varda floated down, it wasn't the floor that his feet ended up greeting. No, he felt something... Softer. In his confused state, he was having trouble understanding what was going on, not even having the time to do it. He was concentrating so much on his singing, not wanting his tune to get as confused as his mind and limbs. It was difficult to stand, but the bird did his best. The little fluffy cloud he believed he was perched on was a nice, soft surface that was easy to grip with his toes. He felt like he could manage it and finish his song... His mind became less hazy and he started to understand what was going around him again. What he was standing on wasn't the cloud at all, but the Drifblim from before! While he probably wasn't in danger of hurting himself in the fall, it was nice to have been caught like that! Now that he was still in the air, he was able to see the area properly, noticing many sleeping Pokémon on the ground. Good, they should be dealt with for a while, they just had to concentrate on the ones that were still awake. One of the pumpkins was still around, as was the balloon and the lamp... But it seemed like the pumpkin-like Pokémon suddenly turned on its allies, spitting seeds at them? How awfully rude! Yet, when the Drifblim he was riding shot out a ball of shadowy energy at the other odd balloon, the very same pumpkin jumped in the way and took the hit. Varda was completely confused by this strange behavior, but there was one thing he did understand: the glow of the hostile balloon Pokémon. It was... Powering itself up. He was unsure in what way, unable to say what kind of a move it was, but this he knew. They had to be ready – but no attack came from the balloon. Instead, the energy was transferred... To the odd lamp! Was it behind all this, controlling the other Pokémon? "O-Oh," the Swablu cooed as his friend helpfully pointed out that singing wouldn't work. The Pokémon certainly hadn't fallen asleep before, so maybe it would have been stupid to try the same tactic twice... No, he didn't have time to think about that, shaking his head to get rid of such useless thoughts! They were in the middle of a battle and there was no time to waste. The Drifblim was helping him, but they couldn't risk getting attacked by the odd lamp-like Pokémon. Or maybe it was more of a defensive power? He didn't know, but he did know that they had to get rid of it, fast – and he could do it. The power had been in his family line for... Who knows how long. The power was inside him as well. Now that his wings felt stronger, the bird flapped them, rising off the Drifblim. A darker mist started to pour out from the fluffy white clouds, quickly dispersing all over the room as his wings generated winds to carry it. The little icy particles sparkled in the air as the haze spread, washing over the Pokémon. It removed the good and the bad... It would remove what he had, as well, but so it would be. He noticed the circle of flames underneath him, knowing that they didn't have much time. He didn't even know if they had enough time to hit the Pokémon before something bad happened, but they had to try! "Protect Sova!" Varda chirped at his new ally, uncertain if the Drifblim could even do what he was requesting. His feet quickly dug into his bag, pulling out the first orb he found. He had no idea what it was or what it would do, but it couldn't harm them, right? All the orbs he had used this far had been useful! The flames quickly shot up, but time seemed to move more slowly now. The bird used his feet to quickly flick the orb in the direction of the floating lamp. ((Itemizer orb! It should turn the Pokémon into the next rolled item? Guess I'll just roll a few times to make sure an item pops up, ignore everything else except the first item that is rolled. You rolled the Lampent so you should get the energy back for it but lose the -1 for the item if I'm reading these rules right?)) - Bird carried out 3 launched of one Ruined Chateau :

| The lampent seemed to back away from the mist, as if aware of what it was. It was unable to escape without leaving the battle entirely, but that was alright.... it just wanted to stall out long enough for its empowered Inferno to collide with the two pokemon in the air. As soon as the Inferno on the ground was finished being prepared, the ghsot allowed itself to be covered by the mist, just as a bright pillar of fire erupted from the circle on the ground. The drifblim suddenly flew downward a bit, putting its arms in front of itself and creating a circular barrier around it in order to block the fire. "No, you must protect him. Hurry, I can't hold this back long," it spoke calmly, trying to make the best out of the situation. The fire was stopped from reaching Varda by the protective barrier, allowing the bird a chance to escape. Maybe it seemed the drifblim was being mean, as if it didn't want to protect Sova, but it was actually the contrary. It wasn't fast enough to avoid the attack, so it was trying to make the best out of the situation and stall for its new friend to move safely out of the way. However, it wasn't going to be able to avoid the attack, sadly. The barrier was beginning to crack already, taking only a few more seconds of abuse from the attack before shattering and allowing the fire to consume the drifblim and continue upwards. The lampent, having successfully attacked and seeing that it was weakened and there was an orb heading for it, suddenly began to glow very brightly, heating the room to the point that the walls began to catch on fire. The attack was cut short as the orb slammed into its face, prompting both of them to suddenly vanish, replaced by.... a piece of machinery similar to the one Varda had found earlier. Sova remained on the ground throughout the events, pretty much dead to the world. When the Overheat suddenly heated the room to a temperature that was excruciating to him, however, he became rather aware of his surroundings.... specifically, the fact that there was now more pain being added onto his already-present injuries. "AAAAAAAAAAHK," he screamed in pain, but fell silent once more shortly after the attack was abruptly stopped. Normally, he would have been able to reduce the damage from such an attack through multiple means, but not this time. At least he didn't have to deal with the attack being insanely boosted by the power spike from Calm Mind, though. (RNGsus legit just gave you a Music Box Piece B for your Itemizer Orb. How does that make you feel? And I'm not sure if using an itemizer orb on someone else's roll is okay, or using it on anything other than from the most recent set of rolls from a person, but.... I think it's fine?) (59 energy.... I think? Either way, enough to roll.) - Lord E V carried out 5 launched of one Ruined Chateau :

| The orb slid from Varda's talons as the pillar of fire erupted from the ground, his wings pushing him back and out of the way of the fire. The Drifblim's odd protective shield held out most of the flames, but it clearly wouldn't last long. It already was forming cracks, only moments away before it shattered completely. And then, it did. A crack that felt so loud yet it was soon silenced by the roars of flames that shot up from the ground, swallowing up the Pokémon inside them. The little bird was thrown back by the sudden burst of hot air that rushed in from the fire, unable to fight back due to how sudden it had been. He didn't manage to straighten himself anymore, falling on the ground.
For a moment everything was black – and very hot. A gasp escaped the Swablu's beak as he dried to draw in air, his lungs scorched by the heat. And then, nothing. The heat was gone in an instant, replaced by the usual chilly temperature of the mansion. He could breathe again, his chest rising and falling in a controlled rhythm, slowly. Varda kept his eyes closed for a moment as he rested with his back against the floor and his wings spread, feet up in the air. It was kind of relaxing... But he also ached all over and it would have just been nice to sleep there for a while...
But then his eyes shot open as he remembered. Sova! As quickly as he could, the little bird spun over and got on his little legs, his eyes searching the room for the familiar blue spot that could only be his friend's fur. He hopped over as quickly as his little legs allowed him to. "Sova! Are you awake?"
((At this point the mods would probably have to let it slide because it's just too perfect.))

| The pillar of fire subsided, finally allowing the drifblim to fall to the floor with a light thud. It was unconscious from the attack, but luckily, most of its power was in defensive presence, allowing it to fairly easily survive even though the Inferno was heavily empowered. However, it definitely wasn't getting up any time soon, remaining unconscious on the floor.
Sova's consciousness slowly faded as he found himself to be unable to resist it, with nothing to drive him to stay in control of himself, or even to ground him to let him know what was happening. Then he heard a voice.... this time a much more welcome voice, light, friendly.... Varda! Suddenly, his eyes opened slightly, his vision still blurred. "W.... wha.... what?," he muttered as he forced himself to lift his head and look around until he located the little swablu. While his vision still hadn't focused, he could tell the thing in front of him was Varda. Something else that caught his attention, though, was a dark figure with red eyes looming behind the swablu, a yamask who'd just risen out of the floor and turned visible in preparation to attack.
As if nothing had happened, the glaceon instantly reacted, taking in a deep breath before.... wincing in pain and ceasing his attempted Frost Breath. It seemed not only his leg had been injured, but also something in his chest area, maybe a rib. Whatever it was, it was preventing him from breathing well. Instead of Frost Breath, he channeled his pain into a pitch-black orb of negative energy in front of him, showing more focus than one would normally expect from someone in such a tattered condition. Knowing this attack couldn't possibly hurt Varda, he sent it at the yamask, which exploded in a cloud of black smoke, followed by the little pokemon being sent flying into a wall. It slammed into the wall very audibly before falling to the ground, out cold.... if it was lucky.

| Varda's eyes seemed to brighten up as he heard his friend's voice calling out weakly, indeed proving that Sova was awake! That was great, the bird stopped in front of the Glaceon with that big dumb smile on his face. "Oh, Sova! Are you hurt? Does it hurt somewhere?" He cooed, tilting his head from side to side as he asked his questions. They had made it... But Sova had fallen from a rather high place and had been unable to move up until now, so it didn't mean they were completely unscathed! The Swablu wasn't either, even though he had managed to defeat the gravity... Well, for the most part, if one ignored the unceremonious ending. Better than one might have expected though, right?
The bird was completely oblivious to the shadow rising behind him as he concentrated on his injured friend. All he saw was how Sova seemed to be having trouble breathing, his gasp cut short by a wince. "Oh, you shouldn't try to talk if it hurts, it's alright!" Varda chirped in his oblivious manner, though he couldn't not notice the shadowy ball that formed in front of him and Sova. It was sent off in his direction, making the bird quite worried if his friend was mad at him for some reason and was attacking because of that, but... As usual, the ball exploded and didn't hurt him at all!
"A-Ah! What's wrong?" He cried out, but a sound from behind caused him to turn around and try to see past the smoke. Something fell in the background, sliding down the wall...

| Sova's mind was still struggling to clear as he gathered his bearings, having attacked more on reflex than from careful thought. His friend was talking to him.... but he didn't really care. More-so, he couldn't care, he had things that seemed far more important bothering him at the moment, the things Varda had to say were.... difficult to focus on. However, he did manage to catch the last bit. "I think I've got a broken paw.... and rib....," he replied, knowing Varda wasn't asking about his injuries so much as his mood, but honestly, that level of severity in an injury was likely to affect anyone's mood.
Despite having just expressed having rather severe injuries, he began to pull himself off the ground and onto his paws.... at least, the ones that were still usable. He held the injured front right paw in the air in order to keep from agitating it, which made him look more pathetic than he was okay with. It couldn't be helped that he was hurt, he supposed, but the least he could do was power through the pain and not be a burden to his friend. He looked around, his vision beginning to fall into focus to reveal many pokemon scattered around the floor, all of which seemed to be unconscious. Varda had protected him....? That was a relief.... anything else added to the pain and he may not have been able to hold that.... demon.... back any longer.
On the bright side, he hadn't ended up in the evil room with the mind-rending picture of some unknown creature that he'd found last time, but this place wasn't exactly better. He'd gotten to fall through the floor of the room above them, then slam into the floor of the room they were currently in. On top of that, he hadn't even managed to get up, he had to be protected! Him, protected, by the one he was supposed to do the protecting for! Maybe he should have just let S.S. take over, at least then he would have been capable of defending himself and his friend! What use was he, really, without that.... psychotic other half? He couldn't do anything for himself when it mattered....

| Varda slowly turned to face his friend again after he had gotten enough of staring at the strange dark shape that had gone splat against the wall, blinking slowly. And then, his eyes grew wider as he looked quite worried, hearing what his friend thought about his own injuries. It was a surprise that he had never broken his bones considering how fragile they were, but Pokémon did call him dense and that meant he was very tough or something, right...? "Oh, oh no!" The bird chirped, running in circles before stopping as he saw his friend trying to get up – and succeeding, but it certainly looked painful! Clearly his friend was in pain, his paw dangling quite uselessly in front of him. "Um, um, I don't think you're supposed to move!" He continued, but he didn't do anything to stop Sova. What could he do? Touching someone who was injured would make them hurt even more, right?
But they couldn't just stay here, and he couldn't carry someone as big and heavy as Sova. The Swablu was just a little bird after all, just a fraction of his friend's weight. He had to be light to be able to fly... But in these cases, it wasn't a very good thing! "We um, should get out of here, Sova! You need to have those injuries taken care of, they might get worse otherwise!" Varda cooed, changing his plan. They did have to move, but they would have to move out of this place rather than further into it. But were they closer to the exit or the center of the house?

| Sova merely shook his head at his friend's panicked suggestions. Getting out of here wasn't as easy as the swablu made it sound, they had to somehow manage to find the doorway out, which was completely luck-based in this place. Plus, in his prior experience, this place seemed to have a way of getting those within to the throne room rather than the exit. He looked around the room they were in for a moment before spotting a door, and only one. At least that made choosing their path easy; The only other option was trying to go up through the door in the ceiling- nope, upon looking up, he found the door he'd fallen through was nowhere to be found. Typical.
"We can't exactly just head for the exit. We have no clue where it is.... besides, I can handle this. It'd be better if I could make some hail and heal myself up a little bit, but that wouldn't really be too fun for you, so I'll just have to deal with this," he replied as he began walking towards the door, slower than usual due to only having three usable legs and what felt like a broken rib or two. It would have been very useful to just make a hailstorm and lay down for a while, as it would eventually heal his injuries at least to the point of being easier to manage, but it sadly seemed that this wasn't an option with Varda around. Maybe they'd come across a room with something Varda could sit under and use as an umbrella of sorts, then he could use Hail.

| "Oh, that's right, but... Um, we'll have to get there eventually!" Varda chirped, agreeing that just leaving wasn't the easiest thing, but... Well, they never knew! Maybe the door outside would just appear right in front of them and they could leave. This far it really felt like they were just running around in circles with no end in sight, so maybe they weren't even very deep yet. They couldn't keep going, though! Sova was... Hurt! "Hail?" He asked, tilting his head. Hail... It wasn't a very pleasing weather, awful to fly in as he had learned. His home never really had the weather get that miserable and cold!
"How does hail heal? Do you mean you could... Heal your bones somehow? You should do it!" The Swablu cooed, nodding as he agreed with himself. Whatever happened, if the end result was that Sova was as good as new again, that was good, right? They couldn't continue when the Glaceon was in such a state – especially if they did end up waking up some kind of great evil Sova wanted to fight. Fighting with such injuries would be just insane! "Oh! The Drifblim! And, and the lamp thingy! Where did they go?" Varda suddenly remembered out of nowhere as he waddled after his friend, his eyes looking around.

| Sova nodded in response to the swablu, confirming hail could heal his bones.... or at least, he was pretty sure it could. Eevees were known for being unique in their ability to take many different evolutionary paths, but what most probably didn't know about eevees was how their cellular structure was affected in many of their evolutionary changes. For instance, with vaporeon's cellular structure being so close to water that it can use water to cure itself of illnesses and even repair itself, as well as camouflage itself in water. To a lesser extent, glaceon had a body structure close enough to ice to use ice to heal themselves. While not every glaceon's body was adapted to absorb ice, his was, which was commonly known as having an Ice Body.
"My body's similar enough to ice that I can absorb ice to repair myself. It can heal bones, but the worse the injury, the longer it takes.... and I can't do it with you around because hail would hurt you," he replied, trying to explain it simply enough that it wouldn't confuse Varda. He knew the topic was confusing in the first place, having had quite a difficult time comprehending many of his own evolutionary lines' advantages when he was still an eevee and trying to figure out what path to take. Glaceon had always been one of his preferred choices just because he knew the raw power of one was almost unrivaled by the other options, but past that, it was difficult to figure out everything else.
The glaceon turned his attention to the unconscious pokemon scattered around the room, spotting the large body of a drifblim fairly easily, but not seeing anything resembling a lampent. "....And I don't see any lampents, but the drifblim's over there," he stated as he looked around, attempting to point his injured paw in the direction of the drifblim on the floor.

| Varda cooed as he listened to the explanation, his eyes growing bigger and brighter with every word. He had no idea a Pokémon could do something like that... Well, he knew some Pokémon had healing abilities, but he never thought that Sova would be included in the group! Could every Ice-type Pokémon do that? It was pretty rare to see them outside the icy cold areas of the world, and the bird obviously didn't enjoy spending much time there freezing his toes off. It was possible that he had missed this amazing ability because he just didn't know enough Ice-types...
"You don't feel like ice at all!" The Swablu chirped happily, having sat on his friend often enough to be able to tell that it was nothing like ice. Ice was slippery, hard and cold, often becoming wet and even colder as someone with more body warmth touched it. But Sova wasn't like that. "You should do it! It's no good to be hurt," he continued, either ignoring or forgetting all about the fact that hail would make his own life quite miserable. Or maybe he knew, but didn't mind. Sova was the one who was so hurt he could barely move, they couldn't go on like this!
When he was pointed out where the Drifblim was, Varda was finally able to see the large, round Pokémon. Unconscious and on the ground. Oh no. The lamp-like Pokémon was nowhere to be seen, perhaps it had escaped? That was awful if it was true! The little bird started to quickly waddle his way over to the Drifblim, tilting his head. "Oh... What should we do?"

| Seeing that his friend seemed to be paying no attention to his statement of how the hail wouldn't feel good on the little bird, Sova decided to just ignore the persistent pressure to "do it." Because Varda is now Shia Labeouf. Sure, he didn't feel like ice, but that was because his body structure was similar enough to ice to use it to heal himself, it didn't mean he was ice. However, he thought Varda already knew how cold his body could get, which he felt should have been a testament to its similarities to ice, being capable of not only resisting but conducting that type of temperature wasn't exactly something a normal body could do. Still, he did want a chance to summon a Hailstorm without hurting Varda, because his injuries were killing him.... figuratively, of course, but if not treated it could very well become literally.
"Uuuh.... leave him, I guess. If he's survived till now in this place, I'm pretty sure he'll be fine," he responded as Varda ran over to the drifblim. One thing he didn't want to do was get stuck babysitting a random unconscious pokemon, especially since they didn't really have time to spend doing that. "Besides, we don't have time to wait for him to wake up, remember? We're kind of in a hurry here," he continued, not feeling too bad about leaving the drifblim, since their main priority was to help everyone.... everyone included this drifblim. He approached the door, figuring Varda wasn't going to object to moving on any longer, and waited for his friend to come along.

| Varda glanced over to his friend as he stayed by the unconscious Drifblim's side without really worrying about staying behind, as he wouldn't really have any trouble catching up seeing how Sova was having a hard time hopping along with just three paws and a possible fractured rib bone or two. While the Glaceon was right that they didn't really have the time and the Pokémon was strong enough to live in this strange place where it might have been constantly attacked by the other more hostile ghosts... Just leaving didn't sound very nice!
"Oh... But what if the others wake up before he or um, she does? And one of the Pokémon is missing!" The bird chirped, flapping his wings. An unconscious Pokémon was easy prey, and these ones were very mean... Not to mention the lamp Pokémon might be lurking somewhere! Though, he did throw that orb... Perhaps it had hit? Maybe it was some kind of teleporting orb. "And... He helped us! Just going without saying thanks would be... Rude, right? Is there something we could give to show that we're thankful?"

| Helped....? The drifblim.... helped them? Did he even need help? He'd kind of been dazed out of his mind from the pain, so he wasn't sure what'd happened while he was in that state. Now that he thought about it, though, there were a lot of unconscious pokemon on the floor.... They'd attacked him, then? And apparently Varda and the drifblim managed to fight them all off....? He wondered how much of the work Varda'd actually done, as he couldn't imagine his fluffy little friend being much of a fighter. He hadn't actually seen Varda in a serious fight in quite some time, though, so maybe....
Still, they couldn't just sit here and wait for the big ghost to wake up, every second wasted could lead to another innocent being captivated by the madness going around. "If you wanna thank him so much, leave him a berry or something, but we've gotta get going," he persisted, leaning against the wall next to the door to wait for his friend to get done. It felt shameful of him to have to lean on something, but walking on three legs with his current injuries was proving to be very exhausting. He just had to fall through the floor into a room just tall enough that he seriously hurt himself and just short enough that he didn't have time to spin onto his paws.
