» Personality: Raul is a squid of simple pleasures. He likes his money, gummis, and money plentiful. Being a philosophical beast, Raul knows how money drives every Pokémon's heart, and that there is no escaping one's own greed. So rather than pursuing the noble arts of the rescue team, Raul decided to travel the poke lined path of the merchant. Raul is not one to get his flagella dirty, preferring to play the role of the support, which suits him well, as he is all talk, and rubbish at fighting one on one. You can trust that if he finds himself in a fight, he will soon be looking to find a way out of it, either through coercion or hopping away as quickly as he is able.

» Likes: Lying, Raul is a habitual liar not able to help himself whenever the opportunity arises to make himself seem smarter or stronger by twisting a few words.
Hoarding, Raul simply cannot help himself whenever anything useful presents himself. Of course, his definition of useful sometimes includes old already looted treasure chests, rotten berries, or used TMs.
Power, even when it's not his own, he can't help but respect those in a position of power, as he knows how often it is a struggle, and generally is in awe if those who have overcome their struggles. That, and he knows that sucking up to them is always a good idea.

» Dislikes:
Critic, as a staunch believer that everything he does is correct, Raul does not get along well with those who disagree with him or his methods.
Pokémon like him, there can only be one cocky merchant around, and it's him.
Anyone taller than him, despite being only a little over a foot tall, Raul insists that everyone should be shorter than he is.

» History: Raul was out of his mother's care the second he was able. And, thanks to his less than agreeable personality, without his family, he had no support unit, and was all on his own. Yet despite this, invigorated by tales of Pokémon conquering nigh insurmountable odds, Raul pressed onward, without fear or hesitation. Unfortunately for him. This didn't seem to yield any success, and he wasn't able to complete a single dungeon to get a single product. In the midst of his failures, on the way back from a dungeon, he happened across a Porygon, clearly one without much battle experience, making death threats to a Tyranitar. Admiring the Porygon's clear willpower, Raul decided to help in the way he helped best, talking circles around the Tyranitar. After managing to convince the Tyranitar that the Porygon was actually an automated toll booth with some malfunctions that he had been sent to repair, the Tyranitar was sent along his way. After, of course, paying a toll to Raul. Raul knew this would be the beginning to a long and prosperous partnership, so he talked the Porygon into becoming his own personal bodyguard.
