Just another day...

Having been following a Zorua by the name of Ramira, who had came up with the idea of exploring a nearby dungeon, or as she termed it 'hanging out', Deimos found himself rather close to the entrance of the area known as Pecha Forest... it was a location he did not know well nor was he accustomed to, although he said nothing regarding this, what kind of traveler backs off due to not being accustomed to a type of terrain?

"This is the place that you wanted to explore? The forest?" Deimos asked, wanting to reaffirm that it was the correct location, and not just some location that they would have to pass on through to reach their overall destination... it was a far cry from the previous dungeon he had investigated, the mist covered hill that people called Prickle mist.

"Yup. It's a good place to train and find items." Ramira smiled. Pecha was one of the main dungeons she explored because they had good items for her needs (mainly berries at the moment), and good 'mon to fight against. It really was a good dungeon for her overall.

So it was where she came to train and gather items... understandable, she seemed to know the area well enough that she could use it as a base of operations for whatever it is that she was doing, so being able to make good use of resources within the area was a good factor to consider, one that she certainly appeared to have done so. "It makes sense, best to work your way upwards from an area you are comfortable with first, than jumping in at the deep end and being overwhelmed due to lack of preparation" Deimos spoke as a response to Ramira, making sure to keep his tone polite for the moment, they were going to be exploring together, so it made sense to not cause problems via showing disrespect.

Ramira nodded. His response made total sense. Going into a hard dungeon at first was always a horrible idea, and everyone knew that unless they were born yesterday. 'Crazy, how one can think like this...' She thought absent-mindedly. The Zorua could do this sometimes. Shrugging, she continued forward.

Deimos's response to her continuing on her way was simple, he merely walked after her, following at a moderate pace while keeping some distance between him and her... he figured that if they were attacked in some way or form, having some room to maneuver would be more beneficial than not.

Grinning, the Zorua scanned the area to see if anything or anyone was in a bush or a tree or something. 'Nothing so far.... why is this so peculiar to me? Is it because I haven't found anything?' She thought. It felt very strange to Ramira that there was nothing. Just.... nothing. It felt so empty.

Deimos merely continued to follow from a short distance behind, paying close attention to the environment in order to try and identify and sudden movements that would indicate the presence of pokemon... yet, so far there was nothing what so ever... something seemed off, were they just not showing up since there were two of us? Or was something worse happening?

"It's quiet... I expected it to be somewhat louder than this" Deimos commented... either something was off, or they'd just not came across anything yet.

Ramira was about to respond, when a Hoothoot dove from the trees. Ramira sent it back with Scratch, but it came at her again. "Idiot." This time her creepy grin stayed on her face, and it didn't matter if Deimos saw it or not. Using Pursuit, sending it flying, she got fired up.

Deimos watched as the small fight broke out between Ramira and the Hoothoot. To begin with, he observed, working on seeing how effective Ramira would be regarding conflict. She seemed capable enough for the moment considering how easily she sent it flying, Deimos figured he'd join in the fight as well. Staying back for the moment, he triggered his Future sight in order to begin the offensive from afar, and in order to not get in Ramira's way.

As the Hoothoot flew back, Ramira used Scratch on his eyes, She didn't know it, but the Future Sight attack would hit the bird Pokemon soon. Jumping back twice so it wouldn't hit her, she used a close-range Dark Pulse , which the owl Pokemon managed to stay upright in, despite the power of the attack.

Deimos merely continued to stay back, waiting for the perfect opportunity to use his physical strength to engage the enemy. Of course, he was also waiting for the Future Sight to strike the Hoothoot, he planned on striking immediately after it hit in order to keep the enemy off balance, and in order to KO the opposition. Soon enough the move triggered, hitting the Hoothoot with a powerful strike from no identifiable direction, that was the moment Deimos had been waiting for.

Lunging forwards at high speed right at the Hoothoot, Deimos was using quick attack, surely not his strongest move, but considering the raw physical strength and offensive capability of his species, it'd work well enough given the situation. Swiftly striking the Hoothoot, it finally collapsed. "That worked out well enough" Deimos commented under his breath... it was only his second time fighting against feral Pokémon, although at the very least it wasn't as strong as the Gengar and Zangoose that was present the previous time.

Ramira smiled at Deimos. "Not bad. I'm impressed." She said, complementing him. The Zorua felt it would be nice to complement him instead of staying silent. Grinning at him again, but not the creepy grin she was known for, she walked onward, hopefully with Deimos behind her.

Deimos had become momentarily silent after the fight, until Ramira spoke up, complimenting his skills in combat... he'd not exactly made use of his strongest offense, but it had worked out well enough and he had no reason to not return it. "Same to you, that Dark Pulse you wield surely should come in useful" Deimos responded, still trying to keep his tone polite, although considering they were working together, his tone was somewhat more friendly... she seemed nice enough, to the point he did consider her a friend.

Ramira smiled. "Thanks. It's my signature move for the most part. Popular move among my species, I guess." She responded. They were definitely getting along better, and Deimos sounded more friendly now. That was a sign. The two were quickly becoming friendly towards each other as they explored.

Her signature move eh? makes sense, Dark Pulse is a strong dark type move that benefits from being used by a Dark type Pokémon. "Well, Dark Pulse is a potent move that becomes stronger when utilized by a Dark Type, so it makes sense why it would be popular amongst your kind. I usually prefer to stick to my Future Sight and Sucker Punch, my typical preference being the latter when I have the chance due to my kinds optimization towards physical combat" Deimos spoke, he was using sensible logic when he did. Either way, he merely kept following her, she was the one who knew this place best after all.
