A small sigh of relief emitted from a rather ragged looking Venonat's mouth as she settled herself against the trunk of an old Pecha Tree near the entrance of the forest. Stuffing the remains of a dinner roll she had "happened" across in town, she took a moment just to rejoice in it's sweet buttery taste and to celebrate the realization that she had finally made it. After days of walking she had finally reached Grassveil Town and was so much closer to joining the guild that would start her training as a explorer. Of course she was certain that the guild was probably closed this late, and she would most likely have to make do until the morning. Her eyes drifted carefully across the forest taking in all of the shadows and the various noises of the night. Compared to some of the other places she had slept these last few months, finding a place to rest in here would almost be like looking for a bed in a mattress shop. A small smile raised on her lips as she leaned back and closed her eyes. She was fairly certain that there was nothing in here that she couldn't handle.
Just as she began dozing off, the sound of a male voice caused Vi's body to sit up and go rigid as she attempted to see where the voice was coming from. Her eyes quickly swept the area in front of her before she realized that the voice was actually coming from behind her. She slowly peered around the trunk of the tree, not quite wanting to reveal her presence if possible, but also wanting to get a clear view of the voice's owner. She was both surprised and relieved to see the Riolu standing there happy that it wasn't something more threatening. A small smirk played on her fangs as she called out to it without even thinking. "Hey there, look at what the dog dragged out. Didn't expect to find anyone else out here so late. I don't suppose you're my killer or anything." As Vi finished her last sentence, she realized the joke wasn't quite as funny as she had meant it to be. She still had to remember that despite the Riolu not being a vicious Charizard or anything, she still didn't know anything about him or even why he was out so late. Of course he could simply just be a fan of the night much like she was, or else he could have many reasons. Vi remained quiet as she waited for his reply with her antennas perked up in interest.
