The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptyThu Mar 27, 2014 2:03 am

First topic message reminder :

The only sound that echoed through the mountain was the sound of the wind, in the mountains, one could spot a blue shine. If one were to zoom in on the blue shine, they would spot a small reptilian creature with tiny arms and a large jaw. Across the big jawed pokemon's neck, lay a blue amulet, that signified her royal descent. The blue sapphire shined brightly as the tyrunt stared at her finally finished shelter.

It was rather rude, due to the tyrunt's inability to stack boulders easily, and consisted of using an already overhanging dent of a rock, and taking several days to move two boulders to the side of it so she could be enclosed in her area beneath the overhand. It was not quite the best for a princess such as her, but it would have to due. She had no servants after all, or subjects, knights, anything!

The tyrunt sighed and placed her belongings in the back of the tyrunt formed cave, which just barely fit even her, except the amulet. She always wore the amulet with her to places. It was all she had left of her home, all that she had really brought with her that was not consumable or for supplies. Victoria looked up to the top of the mountain she set up a shelter at the base of, its obsidian peak was jammed into the cloudy sky, as if stabbing into a piece of fluff. The sky could not be seen by the amount of clouds, and she could not care less about this area's gloomy look. She had claimed this area, and now it was time to begin her empire!

She began to grin at the thought, but the grin slowly faded as a question came to her mind.

How was she going to do that?

Enzu saw as Ares had waved his arms and took it as a sign that their discussion was at a temporary halt. He wasn't sure where the discussion was going yet, so he was hoping that he would be able to continue it at some point, it had been awhile since Enzu had held a discussion of this sorts.

Enzu then followed Ares' hand and saw the crack in the ceiling that he was indicating. Enzu was not completely sure what might have caused the crack. It could have been caused by the battle with the Tyrunt earlier, but it was also possible that the shelter was simply not completely constructed well enough to handle such harsh weather. But no matter what the cause, Ares was right in looking for a way to patch the crack, Enzu then began to rack his brain for a possible solution.

The tyrunt blinked when the charmander pointed out the dripping water onto her back. She looked up to the dripping water and spoke, "Ah, its nothin' to worry about probably, but can't help to be too sure.." the tyrunt spoke.
She knew, at least, that the water would make things slippery inside. A muddy inside would make it difficult to maneuver in case another pokemon like that tyrunt decided to show up and try to take over her territory again, small as it may be.
She looked around herself, not all that willing to use the gummi she already had stored away in the back, not like it would help much anyways. What COULD plug into a ceiling? Surely something sticky enough or something that can be molded easily. Then they would need something to hold it up to the ceiling unless it was stick enough. Where were they going to find something like that?

Ares would shake his head as his hostess insisted that the issue of a leak was not too important. Sure, an occasional drop might plummet upon an unfortunate inhabitant's cranium or body, but it wasn't too bad. It was a mere streak of water that moistened the flesh, a simple trickle that would disappear after a short duration. Perhaps searching for a way to clog the hole in the ceiling acted less as a method to maintain the property value of the residence and more as a strategy to allow himself to process the information presented to him in the prior debate. Valid points had been given, and he had simply been too stubborn at the time to acknowledge them as a potential truths. His hands had searched for an object to mend the crack and would eventually find a particularly peculiar item: a Brown Gummi.

The Charmander would lift the gelatinous-like substance up in his hands as he twisted it between his index finger and thumb, a predatory gaze analyzing its smooth texture in an attempt to find some sort of use in it. It was tiny - much too small for mending a jagged fracture in the ceiling - but there certainly had to be some use in it. Of course, since it had been found in Victoria's home, it would be exceedingly rude of him to merely pocket something that might potentially provide use to her or be of her own property. He would pivot upon the spot, rotating his feet so that they might shuffle slightly for him to rotate and face her forwardly. The Gummi was still pinched between his sharp claws, of which threatened to penetrate the protective sheathe that held the brown liquid together into a solid object.

His jaws would open with a voice prepared to spark into life, but fall short of exhaling a single note of his prepared masterpiece. With a flash of lightning and a distant, rolling rumble of thunder, two aggressive looking intruders loomed eerily upon their doorstep: a Scrafty and a Primeape. What provided a sufficient blockade to him asking permission to analyze the food item further was not fear, but a realization that another battle would be imminent; one might even conclude that he had become addicted to the natural high he achieved through brutally pulverizing any creature that dare to rise to his challenge. Before him stood a drug of preference that had delivered itself to him, and here he stood waiting to accept it. The drake's eyes would immediately snap towards Victoria, as if he were beseeching her for her permission to once more brawl within the confines of her home. Slowly, his flame would increase in intensity, and his heart hammered within his chest. The potential for inflicting injuries was just too tantalizing to pass up!

Even though Victoria said that there was no need to fix the crack, he figured it would be courteous for him and Ares to find a possible solution to the problem in the structure. He saw Ares grab a gummi from the back of the cave. "What did you find Ares?" Enzu asked, if it was a gummi then they might be able to use it patch up the crack. Enzu was thinking that they might be able to use some mud and have Ares dry it with fire, but using the Gummi might be more effective.

Enzu then saw Ares' gaze turn to the entrance of the cave as he dropped the gummi, "Is there someone at the..." Enzu said as he turned to follow Ares' gaze. He was cut off by the sight of the two large pokemon standing at the cave entrance. "Um... hello there," Enzu said to the new guests.

The Scrafty and the Primape walked into the cave and looked at the three pokemon sitting in the cave, "Heeeyyyy losers," the Scrafty said, "I believe you've been using your cave without our permission." He started to crack his knuckles to try and intimidate the group, the Primape however said nothing and stood silently next his partner.

Victoria blinked, "If it's my cave why would I need your permission?" The tyrunt questioned the Scrafty's speech. Her face had turned to a bit of a glare, loathing these pokemon for waltzing into her den without permission. She felt a bubbling power in the back of her throat, a roar of rage wanting to be unleashed upon these two.

The scarfty smirked sadistically, it held up the fist with the knuckles it had just cracked as it began to glow a strange orange with the power of a fighting type, "Because we're here to deliver an overdue eviction notice,"

The primeape held up its fist, a red aura enveloping it as its anger began to build and its fist began to cackle with electricity. His calm gaze turning into a glare that seemed to switch between the Pawniard and the Charmander.

Victoria didn't like these two one bit, so she submitted to the strange power in the back of her throat and bellowed as loud as she could, "LEAVE!" she ordered, her voice pitching to a roar as her voice was enlarged by the actually attack called "Roar". The roar had resulted in the scraggy and Primeape being pushed back into the rain, not having braced for the sudden attack and completely surprised by the volume of the roar.

The tyrunt glared at the two as her breath began to grow colder and ice formed around her sharp teeth to form daggers made out of icicles. NOBODY was going to order this tyrunt around without her permission.

The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptySun Apr 13, 2014 12:54 am

Silence from Ares greeted the Primeape's and Scrafty's words as they attempted to demonstrate and exercise their superiority. His body language would express extreme disdain for these less than savory characters, and already small wisps of smoke were being puffed forth from his nostrils in preparation for war. His tail's flame blazed like a conflagration, its blaze triumphantly shining out like the radiating aura of the sun. Behind a piercing, predatory, and strangely cold gaze was a beast preparing its vocal chords to roar and challenge these adversaries: his majesty and grace as the dominant fighter were to be challenged once more by unworthy opponents. Such threatening displays did little to deter him as he stared on like a looming carnivore, and his eye teeth poked out from behind the veil of his upper lid so that they might look greedily on towards their next potential meal.

As soon as Victoria had allowed a bellowing roar to knock back the challengers, the Charmander would allow his throat to slightly inflate as plumes of smoke pushed their way out of his mouth and nostrils. He exhaled in a continuous breath, filling the cave once more with vapors of smoldering ash and smoke. His Smokescreen attack coated everything, and left all those unfamiliar with its potency blind to creatures and objects about them. With his lungs deflated from the excessive overproduction of smog, Ares would take in a deep inhale before hearing his opponents slosh about in the mud outside. A crooked smile jagged its way across his mandible as the realization of stronger prey occurred to him: they were not going to be pushed about as easily as other quarry he had pursued before. Such motivation merely provided more kindling for his inner and outer flame, and he was once more pushed into an offensive position.

His feet slid across the smooth surface of the stone and dirt beneath him as his legs buckled and allowed his back to become hunched. Already he was analyzing and waiting for the sound of opponents to become audible, and a delighted expression had risen forth upon his chiseled features. His memory of where his hostess had been prior would cause his snout to shift in that direction, and his voice sounded more amused and excited than fearful and uncertain, "Miss Victoria, may I beseech your approval for toying with these foolish denizens before promptly dethroning them from their pitiful title?"

Whatever the answer - which would most likely be "yes" considering how swiftly the Tyrunt had reacted with aggression - he would dash forward, allowing his clawed toes and rounded feet to travel silently across the blanketed floor. Ares had a good idea as to where the entrance had been, and thus would eventually skid to a stop and allowing a Dragon Pulse attack to shoot out towards the exit, attempting to get the sphere to hit one of his opponents. Should the attack hit or miss, he would once more disappear into the smoldering fog, allowing his mass to be encompassed and hidden by the rolling, licking smoke.

Enzu was shocked that Victoria and Ares had suddenly begun to fight, he felt that there was a chance that they would have been able to negotiate with the two large pokemon. However his two other companions within the cave decided that a battle would be the best way to go. Once Ares began to fill up the cave with his smokescreen, Enzu began to run out of the cave so that he could still see what was going on, "For Arceus' sake," he muttered as he fled the cave. As Enzu ran out he began to charge up a Psycho Cut, the attack would be useful against the Primeape, it was effective against their kind and Enzu would be able to keep his disctance from the large, and angry, monkey pokemon.

"Go right ahead," the tyrunt growled to Ares, before running into the fray. She was way out of her own league in this fight, but she had to defend her territory and her guests, its what royalty was supposed to do when under attack. The tyrunt witnessed as the primeape eyed the pawniard and moved so the scarggy hid him, the dark type would be immune to the psychic type attack, and the nasty Brick Break attack charging up would be a nasty retaliation.

She growled as she charged the scraggy, her fangs of ice getting a good grip on the arm the brick break was powering up on. It was being distracted by the tyrunt, as it flailed its arm in pain and attempt to fling her off. He succeeded after a few harsh waves, and began to chase the tyrunt in anger. She then decided to hand the enemy off to Ares, as she led it towards the smokescreen and dove into it, to the back of her den. The scraggy hesitated just outside of the smoke, knowing he would be vulnerable once inside.

The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptySun Apr 13, 2014 10:48 pm

As he watched his Dragon Pulse attack leave his lips and slice through the smoke like a hot knife through butter, Ares patiently waited for the sound of it making contact with something. Slowly, the smoke would reform and envelop him in its protective embrace, but the sound of contact - which was presumably assured considering that he had aimed where they would have slid - ceased to spring into existence. What had occurred? Why had his Dragon Pulse attack missed and been ignored? Certainly any of their adversaries would have faltered in their movement to analyze the big sphere of draconic energy sizzling past them, so perhaps it had all been an illusion: there was the possibility that his attack had never been fired at all and he had merely imagined doing so because his mind had yet to sync with the rest of his body. However, the smoke had certainly dissipated and parted swiftly as it had rolled through it haphazardly, so that clearly was not a possibility. Were these opponents just too aloof and dumb to notice such an assault fired upon them and merely toss it up to being a trick of the eyes or a murmur in the wind?

Boom.

The Dragon Pulse's sphere had exploded in the distance, and it confirmed audibly that it had been brought into existence by the belligerent Charmander. His mind raced for answers, solutions, anything that might explain why such an attack would not have startled or spooked their combatants. The most plausible one was that they had been too wrapped up in their own world, that they had been ignorant to his attack and had moved with the flow of battle out of the way. Their skill had not been represented in dodging or evading his assault; on the contrary, Lady Fate had smiled graciously upon their mangled hides and blessed them. She had applied blinders to their eyes and ears so that they might solely apply their energy and might to the confrontation at hand, and, through it, pushed them out of harm's way using this method. Fate: why could she not smile upon Ares, instead? He would have desperately appreciated it and any other assistance she would have yielded to him.

The drake, himself, was oblivious to the outside commotion: he was much more focused upon his game of Meowth and Rattata, in which he extended his senses to determine whether any hostile force had entered his sacred shroud. Though the din of battle seemed tantalizingly tempting for him, Ares committed himself to resistance and subterfuge; his reward would come with time. As Victoria charged triumphantly forward and lured the Scrafty toward the smoldering mass of dark grey smoke, Ares's ears would pick up the noise. The sound of their struggle was as clear as gazing into a pollution free pool: nothing could have distracted him, and he was free to understand its clarity as much as he desired. A Dragon Pulse attack would be released at the point in which his hostess would tactically retreat into the rolling cloud of smoldering ash and cinder, attempting to hit him squarely in the thoracic region so that he might be blasted back into his compatriot.

Enzu watched as Victoria attacked the Scrafty and tried to lead it back into the smokescreen. He figured that the two of them would be able to handle the Scrafty if they worked together. Enzu then turned his attention to the Primeape that was waiting behind his partner a little distance in the back. The Primeape seemed to have small arcs of electricity jumping across its hands, the monkey was waiting to use a Thunder Punch, but Enzu wasn't planning on getting close enough for any attacks to land. Enzu quickly launched his two Psycho Cut's at the Primeape, hoping that it would be too cocky to dodge the attack. And even if the Primeape did dodge the attack, with all the mud around Enzu might get lucky and it would loose its footing.

Even with most of his focus on the Primeape, Enzu still kept a warry eye on the Scrafty, he didn't want to risk the other enemy turning around and have the two of them gang up on Enzu.

PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptyThu Apr 17, 2014 12:45 am

The primeape didn't move, it didn't have to. The scrafty had been blasted with the special attack from the charmander and into the primeape, knocking it away from the Psycho Cut, which had grown faint with the length since the attack was supposed to be physical and up close.

The tyrunt charged back out into the rain and mud, wanting to see what was going on and perhaps try to repeat the process once more in a cheap shot. The scrafty and its partner had been blasted into a boulder not far off, forcing it to shatter and the two to gain sore backs that probably would have snapped if they had not been as durable as they were. The scrafty and the primeape packed their punches up once more, and Victoria took a few steps backwards in case she had to flee back into cave and rely on Ares to take care of whoever decided to attack.

Victoria may have been too weak, but at least she could play as the bait. It was not exactly a princess's job, but it was a battle tactic none the less.

The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptyThu Apr 17, 2014 4:52 pm

((Dibs Scrafty!))

A shudder-like sound was emitted as the two adversaries were smashed into a boulder. The Primeape had provided adequate cushioning for the Dark-type opponent, who staggered awkwardly to its feet. It grimaced as its vertebral column complained and protested with vivid displays of pain, but eventually rose once more for another round. There was determination laced in its eyes that gazed forth onto a world that wished to oust it, a realm in which he could no longer impose his will. It readied its thin arms and allowed an aggressive expression to transform its face into one warped by a funhouse mirror: its eyes narrowed in disgust, its taunting smile flipped downward into a scowl, and its brow furrowed. The fighter cared not for his companion - who must have also risen by now - but for its own victory. It would release a ferocious howl of rage, and begin to power up an attack. Dark energy would gather at its hands as it lunged towards the Tyrunt, attempting to deliver a Payback attack directly into its spine.

-

Ares had witnessed his attack detonate explosively against the yellow creature and cause it to launch him backward into the Primeape. As the smoke rolled forward once more to conceal him, the Charmander could sense that the battle would not be as concise as it had been with the feral Tyrunt. There had been a precise, decisive end to that confrontation that had maintained its air throughout the entirety of the battle; it was lacking here. Such a short term battle would not be able to define this encounter, for these adversaries were undeniably strong - if not stronger. A Dragon Pulse attack that would usually down a rather persistent foe merely knocked these thugs down momentarily. It had been the environment that successfully wounded them internally, and thus this was how they would have to play this battle.

All at once, the drake would thrust himself out of his protective smoke that acted as a concealing cocoon and out into the open, rainy world. The atmosphere was cool and crisp compared to the smoldering ash and cinder that he had inhabited just moments prior, and it filled his lungs with dense, moist air. Rain pelleted his body as he moved swiftly over the loose, muddy ground, and his feet seemed to barely touch the ground. A streak was all that was visible of his flame as his claws were readied, and suddenly he would shift directions. With a swiveling motion as the Scrafty lunged for him, he would pivot upon his round feet and aim a Dragon Pulse directly at its face. It would once more be launched backwards, a yelp penetrating the stillness of the ambiance. It would smash once more into a nearby stone structure, of which held a rather loose rock fixed to its top. Sooner or later, that thing would free itself and smash upon anything that was unfortunate enough to be crushed beneath it.

((Guess I'll take the Primeape then))

As the Scrafty began to climb up, so did the Primeape. After getting hit by his ally, the Primeapes rage continued to grow. His previously angry face was growing more and more stern as rage built up from within. This time the Primeape was not going to wait for Enzu to attack, instead it was going to lead a full on charge at the small metalic pokemon. With electricit arcing across it's hand once again, the large ape began to charge at Enzu with its fist held back, reading to strike.

-

Enzu was glad that the Scrafty was sent flying back into the Primeape, it meant that Ares and Victoria were having luck on their side of the battle. Enzu watched as the Primeape begin to charge forward at him, and he quickly started to charge up a Psycho Cut so that he could take out the Primeape and avoid an attack. Once the Primeape was closer Enzu jumped back and launched a his Psycho Cut at the Primeape, causing a direct hit on the enraged Ape pokemon and breaking its concentration.

Enzu was too focused on the Primeape to see that Ares had come out of the cave, thus risking his flame and his life. If Enzu had seen that, then he would probably have told Ares to get back in the cave and keep attacking from a distance.

The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptyTue Apr 22, 2014 12:19 am

The Royal Blood that was Victoria did not know of the importance of the charmander's flame, so she thought nothing of the flame upon the lizard's tail. At this moment, she had to choose from assisting the charmander and assisting the pawniard. The still did not quite trust Enzu yet, but figured that he seemed to be handling himself in the fight against the Primeape. She did not notice the scrafty looming above her until she had decided to turn and go help the charmander, her eyes widened as the scrafty had a raised fist that pulsated with the strength of a dark type.

Victoria began to feel the strange power bubble in the back of her throat and stomach once more, as another roar erupted from her mouth in attempt to blow the scrafty away. This roar had been slightly weaker, and the scrafty had been somewhat prepared for it since he had experienced the move before. The fist was slowed by the wind that rushed from between her jaws, but it did not prevent it from colliding with the bony protrusion on her nose. The tyrunt cried out in pain, luckily the tough bone not being broken, and flinched from the force causing her mouth to clap shut.

She took a few steps back, trying to get away from any more attacks, before gathering her courage once more to launch herself forward and attempt to clamp onto the Scrafty with a fang coated in ice.

The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 4 EmptyWed Apr 23, 2014 1:39 am

The Scrafty's eyes seemed to widen with shock as the Tyrunt's vocal chords strained to produce a bellow, slowing down the velocity of his vicious Payback attack and causing it to be repelled. As if fighting a massive gale, the Fighting-type would allow its eyes to narrow and muscles to extend into overdrive so that it might successfully make contact with some portion of the rex's body - head, feet, legs, anything. Victory would eventually be its as it felt its tightened fist smash into the little princess's face, forcing the female's mouth shut from the sheer power that had been extended. Though it would initially lunge for the Charmander, it found the orange lizard not worth his time - it could easily deal with the little bugger later. Being a seasoned fighter, it would not hesitate to follow up with a combo, and proceed to raise its closed hand. When the clenched fist had reached its pinnacle, it would attempt to bring it down upon Victoria's snout in a Brick Break attack.

This would be as easy as swatting away an annoying fly. It would win, and it would do so through violence. Insolent Ratattas.

It would not be given the opportunity to do so, however, as it was promptly sent back with a well aimed Dragon Pulse attack. The Scrafty's bony, sinewy frame would be flung towards the loose-stone fixture, causing it to wobble ominously. The Fighting-type would struggle to its feet as its vertebral column had once again sustained damage, though nothing entirely debilitating. It would rise, certainly, but would struggle to do so, remaining oblivious to its predetermined fate. Releasing an exhale, it would dash forward, targeting the Charmander that had assaulted it.

A snarl would ripple forth from the young drake's snout as he would rise to the occasion, smoke building up within his mouth. He was charging headlong for the creature that might easily snap him in two, but rallied his body to his cause so that he might not give this strong adversary the opportunity to perform this. If there was one thing he learned from his homeland, it was to never turn one's back upon an enemy; you essentially leave yourself open. Forward he dashed, before finally spewing a mouthful of smoldering ash and soot in the Scrafty's face. It would howl as it attempted to swat away the SmokeScreen, giving Victoria ample time to act - for, at the end of the day, it was quite rude not to allow one's hostess the opportunity to deliver a crippling blow. He would spew forth more smoke, attempting to further blind the belligerent enemy by encompassing its surroundings. Once more, it would be subjected to being engulfed by smoke.

The force from the charge that the Tyrunt had when launching herself to bite the assailant was enough to cause it to topple backwards. Ice crackled along its arm where the dinosaur's teeth made contact, creeping slowly along until it stopped at its shoulder. Blinded, partially frozen, and quite angry, it allowed a ferocious growl to warble in its throat before dashing towards where it believed the Charmander to be. It would attempt to grab the Rock-type's white scruff to hold her steady before crashing into a particularly unstable structure: the loose-rock fixture. Finally having enough, the boulder would begin its descent, smashing onto the Scrafty's skull and downing it; one arm lay outstretched while the other had been crumpled beneath its body.

Ares's heart beat fast as he watched on, the defeat confirmed by the sound of rock crushing bone. He was unable to see into the smoldering fog, and thus was ignorant to what had happened inside its concealing veil. Had it been the Scrafty or Victoria that suffered the rock's wrath?!
