Puns: Beck is very fond of witty, clever plays on words. As an easily amused Pokemon, puns happen to be one of his very favorite things. He often makes puns himself, although they're always terrible and make next to no sense.
Music: As a young Noibat, Beck can recall leaning out the nearest window to the soft melodies of the Chatot family living in the tree near his home.
» Dislikes:
Being Called Cute: Being a Noibat, Beck is very used to being called adorable. However, he is adamant in the fact that this is not the case! He will not be underestimated! FEAR HIM!
Loud, Abrupt Noises: With his large ears, loud, sudden noises startle Beck very easily. Being startled makes him look (in his opinion) un-intimidating, and thus, he dislikes it.
» Personality: Beck is an incredibly self-conscious Pokemon who hides it by proclaiming his superiority. However, this proclamation is almost always followed by a "...was that believable enough?" and is thus very ineffective at proving said superiority. He's generally very inquisitive and excitable, and finds amusement in the smallest things. This makes him a rather fun Pokemon to be around. However, he generally stops himself from befriending more Pokemon as he is frightened of disappointing them and has had only poor experiences with other Pokemon. Beck often will try out his scare tactics on random Pokemon, and practices them almost daily.
» History: Both of Beck's parents were fearsome outlaws. They were some of the most feared Pokemon in their day, and expected Beck to follow in their footsteps. Beck enthusiastically threw himself into the criminal world. However, no matter how many attempts he made, not a single Pokemon was ever frightened of him. One autumn evening Beck set out for his biggest crime yet: he was going to rob a guild. As can be expected, this went incredibly poorly. At the guild Beck was met with the fiercest and most frightening Pokemon he'd ever seen. His loud and intimidating(or so he thought) shout of "GIMME ALL OF YOUR VALUABLES!" was met with a chorus of laughter. When he launched himself at the nearest Pokemon, claws sharp and vicious, several Pokemon piled upon him. Moments later, he was thrown from the guild rather forcefully. Battered and humiliated, Beck refused to return home. He couldn't show his face to his parents after his numerous failures.
After roaming for quite some time, Beck finally stopped for a while in Grassveil to find a new goal and make a place for himself. This is where we find him now.
