"Aaah!"
The young Spearow fell into the familiar forest, with a strong feeling of deja vu racing through her mind as she tried to dodge every branch that could possibly collide with her. While Kelina enjoyed flying, it's a known fact that her species have to flap their wings very rapidly in order to stay in the air. Kelina was considered by many to be the best flyer compared to her peers, but when she set off from Aileron Village, her face was in utter awe at the sight of the surface. Soon, the Spearow ended up tiring out, her body almost giving up without her even realizing it!
But I just noticed the mountain shrouded in a weird mist! Kelina thought as a branch hit her in the torso.
The trip down almost seemed to be endless, until... THUD!
She, or anyone else for that matter, would've been knocked out by the collision, but the faint scent of the surrounding berries was almost too IDENTICAL for the Spearow to just fall asleep! Kelina quickly got up and checked her surroundings. Multiple Pecha Berries lined the deep forest like decoration for a room.
"I remember this now! This is Pecha Forest, the place I was rescued from! Which means... Grassveil Town is nearby!" Kelina shouted with glee. "Now... how do I get out of here?" she mentioned. |

| The Spearow, unfortunately, made a false assumption of the moves the Deerling held, even if she could have never known much about the surface creature in the first place. It still ended up leaving her wide open to any attacks, but thankfully, the Pokemon stayed in its camouflaged state. As she got back up right after realizing that, Kelina saw the Charmander that she conversed with earlier closely observing both the Spearow's actions and the surrounding area while beginning to prepare a Dragon Pulse, so that he could seek out the aggressor rather mannerly once she had finished running about.
Well, I'll still need to back him up in the very least!
It's not that the Pokemon couldn't take the Deerling on by himself; it's just that if the attack doesn't hit the intended target, the Charmander would be open for an ambush just as much as she did earlier. If the blast does hit and expose the culprit for all this, then Kelina could also quickly follow up the blow with a Tri Attack, hopefully wounding the cause for all this considerably; although, she still needs to ask the not-so wild Pokemon a slew of questions still. Right now, all the Spearow could do was signal the Charmander on the release of the Dragon Pulse and hope for the best. |

| Of course it would work! Something that ruthlessly singed vegetation that did not cower behind a living body would be equally hurt by such an attack. A Dragon Pulse did not discriminate between friend and foe, backdrop and foreground: it belonged solely to its caster, and recognized them alone. As such, even Camouflage, they could not be invulnerable to attacks. Pivoting on his feet, his attack would - as stated prior - fan out across the clearing in which their brawl had ensued. His mouth would continuously project that pulse of draconic energy, spewing it forth as if it were akin to living fire. Hopefully this Spearow would be intelligent enough to know that it would be wise to stay out of this projection's way. Eventually, he would notice a splotch of vegetation that did not get burned at about 160 degrees from his start position.
Bingo.
He would lunge forward, extending his long, sharp claws out as he aimed a Scratch attack at the seemingly empty space of air. Though after he lunged he would begin to doubt his assumption, Ares was soon rewarded with the satisfying sensation of rending flesh with long, painful lacerations. An alarm cry was given as the Deerling popped forth, revealing itself and shaking its state. It would flail about momentarily before attempting to charge the Charmander with a Tackle, tiny beadlets of crimson blood sprinkling against the ground from where his attack had hit. The Charmander would smartly dodge out of the way, allowing the herbivore to dart past him, before allowing the Spearow to finish up the rest. | |
