"Hurry up now! It's your own fault you're tired, now get ready and get down here!" Bradley rolled over, pillow over his head trying to ignore his mothers voice. He had once again stayed up all night, or at least he tried to. He had fallen asleep earlier in the morning, but now he was going to have to go to school with only two hours of sleep. He groaned as he heard his father footsteps coming up the stairs, but was surprised when they stopped. He waited, listening, now fully awake as he prepared for his dad to come in and get him out of bed. But it never happened, after a few minutes he got up, dizzy from exhaustion. He wobbled across his room and opened his door. His room was right next to the top of the stairs, he looked down and didn't see his dad at all. He could have sworn he heard the man coming up though, maybe he had just been dreaming it, he was pretty tired.
The light was on in the kitchen below but there were no sounds of his parents down there. He slowly made his way down the stairs and peeked into the kitchen only to be greeted with an empty room. Scared and confused Brad searched through the whole of the house calling out for his parents, even going outside only to see that they weren't in the yard either. Their car was still there, they certainly didn't leave without him, so where were they?
