| First topic message reminder :- Spoiler:
I seem to have lost my Black Sludge in the Cattail Marsh! Could you please get it back for me? But you shouldn't put it in your bag. That fabric might absorb it and your items would get poisonous.
» Client: Muk » Objective: Retrieve Black Sludge (Extremely Rare Item) » Place: Cattail Marsh » Restrictions: Keep the Black Sludge equipped the entire time. (You can keep your equipped item equipped as well.) » Difficulty: F » Reward:: 200 Poké » Exploration Points: 10
Page Requirement: 4
The archen of the rescue team flinched when he looked upon the great marshlands before him. It was full of... water. As a rock type the pokemon hated water. He had no ability to float like a duck or a normal bird and he could barely swim. The Archen sighed as he stared at the water, he still had not entered it just yet. He would have to look through all of this liquid to search for the black sludge...how was he going to hold it anyways? It would damage him if he held it...it only healed poison types and damaged others, so why had he accepted the job anyways? He looked at the reward and sighed, "This better be worth it..."

| Acro watched the world spin before him and the reeds and cattails that named the swamp dance in what seemed to be a tango. The archen shook his head as he finally seemed to rid himself of confusion. He blinked and saw William seeming to try and hug the Zubat. The Archen decided not to attack, thinking the gengar had some kind of plan. The archen watched as he himself squawked and doubles appeared around the area, using double team. | |

| As William was seeing everything multiple times already, he wasn't very surprised by the Zubat suddely splitting off into even more of them. More friends to hug! Zubat were so interesting. They could fly and they had wings and teeth and they were really pointy. And they had wings. Maybe he should make them a present to celebrate their...wing-havingness? But what would they like? They were awake all night, so maybe something to keep the darkness away? Or was it because they liked the darkness? Well...why not both? With the resolve to celebrate the Zubat and their wings, the Gengar managed to focus enough to form a Shadwo Ball, which it gave the Flying types by using the quickest method he knew. He threw it at them. | |

| The battle-ready bird squawked as he avoided the shadow ball by mere inches, he had leaped up and towards the zubat in an attempt to smack it with his glowing white tail in an attempt of Iron Tail. The archen covered his ears as the zubat screeched in pain and turned to the gengar that was attacking it, no way was this zubat going to let that go unpunished! The archen meanwhile had retreated into his doubles, afraid of being struck by another supersonic attack that would put him into that horrid state once more. | |

| Meanwhile even William had recovered from his mentally scrambled state, shaking his head a few times, before glaring at the Zubat, his grin taking on a mixture of anger and a malicious smirk. He knew, that the single, simple bat Pokémon would stand no chance against the two high-leveled adventurers, who had already traveled to places far worse together. There was no way, that a simple feral Pokémon would stop them now. Deciding for the defeat to be a bit ironic, the Gengar decided against the use of duirectly damaging attacks, focussing his mental energies into a Confuse Ray instead. If the Poison type liked this ailment that much, it was only fair of the duo to return the favour. | |

| The ray of confusion weaved through the air and struck the Zubat in the back. The zubat soon began to feel its own world spinning as its echolocation radar went out with the attack, The zubat flew around blindly and wildly, confused and unsure of his surroundings. Acro watched the pokemon fly around wildly for only a few seconds before deciding not to risk attacking. The pokemon was flying around too fast and were unpredictable. Any attacks done by the archen would just miss and exhaust him. Though the longer they waited, the more health the zubat would restore... | |

| William meanwhile had other plans than just to let the bat Pokémon fly around aimlessly. Even though it wouldn't be the most effective attack to use, his Smog attack should have an area of effect large enough to hit the Zubat, which was frantically moving around. A large cloud of gases most vile rose from the shadowy Pokémon, making its way up into the air around the Zubat. Even though its huge potential to cover a large area, poisoning friend and foe alike didn't give this attack many uses, it was perfect for difficult-to-hit targets like the Flying type. | |

| The zubat gasped as it flew, which helped in the smog attack. It breathed in the fumes and began to cough as it flew about. This time its flying was more wild and clumsy. He smashed into different trees and dove into the reeds by accident several times before finally crash landing on a small patch of land. The pokemon gasped in the fresh air as it tried to find out where it was and where the enemies are. Acro felt kind of bad for the zubat. Confusing the flying pokemon was much more dangerous to it than confusing him, a walking pokemon, since the wings were fragile for flight and could break easily. | |

| William grinned. The Zubat had attacked them first, so it was perfectly justified for them to retaliate. And to do so, using the powers, that were most effective was the best thing they could do. Choosing to attack random passerby, those feral Pokémon had thrown away their right for an opponent to be considerate about their wellbeing after the fight. Whether the Zubat would simply faint or whether it would be seriously injured wasn't important.
Seeing, that the Zubat would be a much easier target on the ground, William summoned a Shadow Ball, throwing it at the gasping Pokémon.

| Acro watched the shadow ball fly and blast into the vulnerable pokemon. Acro flinched as the zubat flew through the air without control and smashed into a tree, becoming stuck in the branches. Acro stared at William in surprise, not for the power of the attack though, but because the gengar had attacked the pokemon when it was down too much to defend itself. Acro knew that the pokemon had attacked them first, and knew that it was perfectly justified to do such a thing, but the Archen just thought it was plain cruel. He had never thought of the gengar as cruel... | |

| While William noiced, that the Archen was staring at him, he failed to find a reason for this behaviour and thus decided to ask: "Huh? Is there a reason you're staring at me like that? Is there another one behind me or something? If not, we should get going, before we get attacked again, I think. This isn't a safe place after all." Even though it may not have looked like it, behind the devious grin the purple shadow deeply cared about Acro and sincerely wanted to know, whether the bird was all right. Hopefully both of them woud be able to finish this mission without too many injuries. | |

| "N-No!" The Archen replied quickly. He ripped his gaze away from the gengar and back at the Zubat, "W-We should go get the sludge..." The small archen made his way through the water and approached the zubat on the patch of land. His spotted the sludge on its back and tried to pick it up without thinking. He yelped as his wing was touched by the poisonous item and he dropped it back onto the ground "Oops!" He yelped, "Sorry!" he apologized instinctively even though he had done nothing wrong. | |

| "Uhh...sorry what exactly? You didn't do anything wrong. Are you sure you are okay? You have been acting strangely lately..." Now William was even more concerned than before. Had something happened to the Archen while he had been away? Hopefully it would be just a phase he was going through, so Acro would be back to his old self as soon as possible. Meanwhile they still had a mission to finish. Slightly lost in thought himself now, the Ghost type picked up the toxic matter, a wave of relaxation passing through his body. "You wouldn't believe, what you are missing here...this stuff...it's incredible, man..." | |

| "I-I'm fine." The Archen lied. Lately he had been feeling strange, as if something bad was about to happen in the near future. He dismissed his senses as his own paranoia, which was common with his personality. Acro watched the pokemon enjoy the black sludge, wondering how the poison could be so healing to pokemon of its type while harm other pokemon. The Archen would never be able to put the pieces of this puzzle that day, for something interrupted his thoughts and banished them from his mind... - This dice is not existing.

| William wasn't convinced by the Archen's claim, but he knew, that continuing to ask him would only annoy the Rock type, so he decided against it. They still had a job to do after all. Thinking about this, the Gengar found himself questioning, how one could lose an item such as this in the first place. Wouldn't one immediately realize, that that energizing feeling was gone? Where did this kind of toxin come from actually? It was highly potent, but unlike anything William had ever seen before. And in contrast to Poison type attacks, it was actually capable of healing the bearer. The Gengar liked this item already. It had shown him so many new colours and revealed the pastel ponies, that were dashing through the swamp. Never before would he have seen a yellow Pegasus shyly fluttering through these marshes. It was almost sad, that Acro wouldn't be able to experience this. Maybe one day he'd see them as well.

| A wooper had leaped out of the water and over the Gengar's head, landing back in the water once more, taking the item with it. The wooper whooped with joy at his new stolen item, then instantly regretting it as the poison took effect and he was damaged. The scrawny tan bird screeched in surprise as the wooper landed near him, causing a wave of water to erupt from the dive. and soak the Archen. Acro shook the water off, becoming irritated, his prevoius feelings being replaced with irritation and anger. "Give it back!" he demanded uselessly to the wooper, who in turn blew a raspberry at the Archen before diving under the water with the damaging effects of the water still active. | |
