First topic message reminder :

Spoiler:

"150 poke...that's not much, but if a lot of missions like these are done then it would stack up."
The archen looked at the pamphlet for the mission as he walked into the forest. He looked up at the trees ahead, "Well, at least we only have to find two unlike last time I was here when I had to find 10 pecha berries."
The archen sighed, "Also at least the pokemon here are fairly weak...we might even be able to one shot most of them if we use super effective typing against them. What do you think?" he asked his ghost type friend that should have accompanied him for the job.

"You're right...yeah we better get moving," The Archen agreed with the ghastly.
Acro was still bemused as to why pokemon were even attacking them. What really confused him, was why some pokemon were civilized and others like the rattata chose to remain in the forest. Was it choice or simply because the wild pokemon didn't know? He decided to stop confusing his own brain and simply go with the flow for now. He was surprised at how he started questioning things more when William came around. He liked it though, it made him feel at least slightly more intelligent.

As the group moved through the forest, the rays of the evening sun periodically pierced through the cover of leaves, creating symbols on the mossy ground. The older trees were creaking in the slight breeze, that blew through them, carrying a swarm of yellow pollen with them.
A variety of bird Pokémon were chirping in the trees, while smaller bugs were skittering between the dead leaves on the ground.
And in that mixture, that formed the beauty of the forest, that scenery, whose reflection in the artist's mind is usually trapped on a canvas, there was something to be spotted in one of the bushes.
It was:

Acro started to feel a bit tired, only slightly though. He wondered what Astrid was doing, he hadn't really been seeing the dratini lately and was kind of missing him. He took a deep breath to take in the sweet Pecha scent of the forest, he had almost forgotten about his mission because of his relaxing. He looked to William and spoke a random question for the sake of keeping conversation, "So, do you like your team?" he asked the ghostly ghastly.

"Well...if I wouldn't like them, I wouldn't be in their team, would I? After all, leaving a team isn't that difficult."
William was confused. Why did Acro suddenly ask that question? The concept of smalltalk had never been a familiar one for the Gastly, who usually only spoke, if it was required, not seeing the point in conversation for the sake of conversation.
He did see a point in reaching the goal of their mission however, so he kept looking for the rare Watamel Berries however.

"I know how easy it is to leave a team since every one seems to leave mine...I guess I just have to stop accepting members."
Acro mumbled. He grew a bit sad at the memory of his team members leaving, one at least telling him he was leaving and the other simply disappearing off the face of the earth. Was he really that bad? William seemed to like him, or was the ghastly just being nice and didn't want to hurt Acro's feelings?
Acro decided to stop thinking about such things, he would only end up hurting himself, just like he hurt himself tripping over a weed and landing to see an item just in front of his beak.

"Things have to end for new things to begin...", William mused.
"But if you stop accepting members, you might send your possible friends away. You shouldn't give up on that. I had given up once, and what had I become? A lonely, depressed wreck in the forest. And believe me, you don't want to go through something like that."
As he reminisced about his own past, William was surprised to suddenly see something in a hole in a tree. It was in there with a few twigs and leaves, so the Gastly assumed it to be the nest of a bird Pokémon.

Acro had found even more sticks lying out in front of him, "Sticks seem pretty common...you said your team had to look for them right?" he spoke. He wasn't quite sure about what the Ghastly had spoken. If he accepted more members they would just realize how weak he was and leave, just like the others. It was his fault, there was no need to put others through the torture of being with him. He decided not to voice this to the ghastly, no need to put his friend through the trouble of trying to make him feel better about himself,

"Yeah, it's that curse of the specific item again. It took us ages to find four of the things. And they refused to simply take some off of the trees. But at least we managed to finish the mission."
Again William was surprised, since the Archen had changed the topic of conversation this suddenly, but he decided not to ask any questions out of fear of appearing as impolite or similar. Instead, he continued to glance around the familiar forest, trying to find any Watamel bushes, that had grown during his absence.
While he didn't find a bush, a quick look under a tree root revealed an item, namely:

"Seems like its happening again..." Acro sighed as he found yet another stick, "Well, maybe someone else is going to end up putting up a request for these sticks at some point and I wont have to go through here looking for so many sticks.."
He decided to take a look in the trees again, maybe a bird pokemon picked one up and dropped it in the trees. He shook the tree rapidly and as much as he could, hoping to hear a thump or some snapping twigs of an object falling above the shacking leaves that brushed together. He snapped his attention to a part of the tree where he caught a glance at something falling and wedging into a branch that was just growing.

"Those sticks might be rotten and brittle at that point already, though. I doubt it would work, but you might just get lucky. Then again...you know our luck. No matter what we try, it always takes ages for us to find what we need. Urgh...why does everything have to be so difficult?", William complained, charging into a tree to reduce his frustration. The impact resulted in the sound of the leaves shaking, followed by something falling out of the treetop and landing close to William. It was:

The tree happened to be the same tree Acro was in, the shaking tree had thrown the prehistoric pokemon off balance, "Whoa!" he cried before falling into a nearby bush. He blinked as he looked up at the tree as an item fell in front of William. Acro wiggled out of the bush he fell in and watched as an item rolled out from beneath the bush in a small capsule like device that was easily opened.
"Is this some pokemon's hiding spot for items?" Acro asked.

"Well...it wouldn't be worth hiding if all there is are sticks. Maybe that capsule thing just got lost by a passing Pokémon."
Hoping not to find too many sticks now, William continued searching the various bushes that were growing in the area. The first berry had been found so easily, yet the second one would take a lot of time to find, as William predicted. Already fearing, that this journey would end up like the infamous journey on the Blackmist Mountain, the Gastly stumbled upon something buried under a pile of dry leaves on the ground.

"Thank Arceus! A Watamal Berry!" Acro cried after achieving finding yet another stick. He sighed in relief, "Well, it wasn't too bad this time at least! Right?" he asked the ghastly. He was happy that the mission could be over with for now.
"Now we just have to get these to Feebas and they can uh..." he looked at the mission paper, "Use it as makeup??" he guessed. He looked to the ghastly in hopes of explanation, but wouldn't blame the ghastly if he just wanted to get out of here right then and there upon finding the last berry.

"Well...I won't even try to understand, how it believes, that that would help it evolve, but as long as this mission doesn't turn into another Blackmist, which it luckily didn't, I'm quite happy. So...is there anything you still want to do or should we return to the guild to finish this thing?"
William wouldn't mind either choice. He enjoyed traveling with Acro, drawn-out as their trips might be, but he was also looking forward to researching the possibilities of mind control with his moves.
Calmly floating in place, he awaited his answer.

"No reason to stay," Acro spoke, "Let's get back to the guild, maybe they'll have something good to eat tonight," the Archen mumbled the last bit about eating. He felt very hungry and wanted to get some food. He started back to the guild in Grassveil, hoping for another busy day to do jobs and help pokemon out to happen tomorrow. He wondered if would run into William again next time as well!
