Werewolf/Mafia - A forum game.

First topic message reminder :

It has come to my attention, that this forum had been lacking a thread for the game Werewolf, also known as Mafia up to now. Thus, I've decided to launch one of them.

Werewolf Rules:

At the beginning of a round of Werewolf, all participating players will be assigned a role, which will be determined randomly. Most players will be Villager roles, while there will be a small number of Werewolves and other roles as well, depending on the size of the game.

There are two alternating phases, a Day phase and a Night phase.
The game starts in a Day phase. In this phase, all players can communicate freely with one another. All players can vote for a player to lynch or to perform no lynch for the day.
Should a previously set amount of time (usually 2-3 days) have passed, the player, who has recieved the most votes, will be lynched and thus removed from the game. Their role will be revealed for all to see. Should a player recieve the absolute majority of votes before the time is over, the day ends immediately with that player lynched.
A lynched player can not participate in the current round anymore, including talking.

As the Day phase ends, the Night phase begins. In it, talking is not allowed.
The Werewolves use PMs to talk to each other and agree on a player to kill.
This target will then be PMed to the host of the game by one of them.
Other roles with abilities, that can be used during the night PM the host, which player they want to target, if they want to do so at all.
After the host has recieved targets from all roles capable of targeting or a previously set amount of time has passed (usually 1-2 days), the Night phase ends, and all dead players will be revealed, including their roles. As the night ends, another Day phase begins.

This cycle continues, until either the Villagers or the Werewolves have achieved their victory condition.

The Roles:

Villager: The Villager is the most common role. Villagers only know their own role in the beginning. They have no powers aside from the right to vote for a player to lynch in the Day phase. They are aligned with the Town Faction and thus win, should all Werewolves die.

Werewolf: The Werewolves are the antagonists of the game. While there are few of them, every Werewolf will recieve the names of the other Werewolves per PM at the beginning of a round. Not only can they vote for a player to lynch in the day phase, but they can agree on a player to kill in the Night phase as well. They are allowed to communicate between themselves using PMs. They are aligned with the Anti-Town Faction and win, should they outnumber the Town Faction.

Alpha Wolf: Functions exactly like a normal Werewolf, but shows up as a Villager, should it be investigated by the Seer.

Doctor: The Doctor is a Villager with a special ability. There will only be one Doctor in a round. The Doctor can vote on a target to lynch in the Day phase. In the Night phase, it can PM the host a player to protect. Should that player be the target for the Werewolves to kill that night, the kill will fail. The Doctor can protect itself. Since it is aligned with the Town Faction, it wins, should all Werewolves die.

Seer: The Seer is a Villager with a special ability. There will only be one Seer in a round. The Seer can vote on a target to lynch in the Day phase. In the Night phase, it can PM the host a player to investigate. As the next Day phase begins, the Seer will be told the role of the investigated player with a PM. Since it is aligned with the Town Faction, it wins, should all Werewolves die.

Vigligante: Can choose a player to kill every night, but doesn't have to. Wins with the Town Faction.

Serial Killer: Can choose a player to kill every night, but doesn't have to. Wins, should everyone else be dead.

Lovers: Always at least two players. Should one of them die, the other one commits suicide. All Lovers know of the innocence of their loved ones. They can talk with each other per PM. They win with the Town Faction.

Jester: Wins, should it be lynched. Loses, should it survive or die for another reason than being lynched.

Other Roles: While many other possibilities for roles exist, I'll keep it simple at first and only use these roles. Should I add another one for a later round, I'll explain it.


Voting: Every player has exactly one vote for each Day phase.
To vote, please use the following format:

Vote: Playername

If you would like to withdraw your vote, use the following format:

Unvote: Playername

You can cast your vote onto another player, should you withdraw your first vote.

Should there be a two-way tie, the lynched player will be determined randomly.
Should one of the tieing parties be No Lynch, the Lynch will happen.
Should there be a three-or-more-way-tie, no lynch will happen.

Those are several great points, and exactly the points I needed. I couldn't think of who to vote for, so I figured having a compelling argument do it for me would be a good idea.

Well, Ant, your second point is flawed. I have not been able to post because my computer has been broken since a few hours before the day phase began. Now, I still am looking for someone to vote of, but I will still vote on one person, but may change it later. Therefore, I Vote: Mexter

Alright then, why did you vote for Bangbronze originally in the first place? There was no proof indicating her, and there was only a 3/10 chance that she could be a wolf. Why did you think that her death would help us villagers?
Secondly, why are you voting for Mexter (who is now in the red zone)? I'd like to hear your reasoning as to why you think it's worth risking him being a villager?

 With the current votes, the day would end in a tie, so the victim would be decided at random between MexterInfinite and Suds.

As my appointment will last longer than expected, the day phase will be extended for an additional hour and will end in 3 hours and 50 minutes from the time this post was made.

It was the beginning of the game.  It's hard to tell who's who at the beginning.  Therefore, I have reached my verdict.  I shall keep my vote the same.

If you read carefully, you will see that it was not permanent. But now I have changed my mind. I guess we will see who is lost at 3:00

I was aware of that, but I'd still like to know why you picked Mexter specifically.

I personally am just going to put this in there, If suds were to change his vote for me before the day ends I'd most likely change the vote too. I personally (Like everyone else) Don't want to be lynch, which is the reason I voted for suds to Tie it and give me a chance to live. Just wanted to put that in there if suds changes his vote and I instantly change mine.

As the villagers of Lycanthropia were particularly indescisive today, a coin toss would be used to determine, whether Mexterinfinite or Suds would be the one to lose their life this evening.

It is now Night. The Night phase will last 48 hours from the time this post was made or until I have recieved all relevant PMs.

This night was a stormy one. Thunder and lighting were filling the air with a dramatic tension.
Alarmed, all villagers suddenly left their homes. They sighed a sigh of relief, as they saw, that noone had died yet.
Then, for some reason a tiny cloud formed directly over Jikumo's head. And what was even stranger was, that it was raining kerosene on him. Now that was something one doesn't see every day.
But perhaps the most unbelievable thing was what followed next.
From somewhere, a light appeared over the horizon. As it came closer, one could see, that that light was in fact an army. Of honey badgers. That were on fire. They immediately began to maul Jikumo, setting him ablaze as well. As only a pile of bones and ashes is left, the flaming honey badgers disappear into the night again.
From somewhere a booming voice speaks:

Due to violation of the site's rules and inability to participate in this round, Jikumo the Villager has been killed by God's Wrath.

Slightly surprised, the other villagers went to bed once again to await the end of the night.

As another night had ended, the villagers of Laycanthropia emerged from their homes, not immediately finding anything suspicious. But as one of them approached the guillotine, he made a gruesome discovery. Inside it, there was the body of executioner Crytic, while the head had been found right next to her lava pit. Her posessions didn't indicate any special powers. The situation was heating up in the vilage, as the villagers now only marginally outnumbered the wolves with 3 to 2.

Crytic the Villager has been killed. It is now Day. The Day phase will last 49.5 hours from the time this post was made or until a player reaches the majority of 3 votes.

I'm just gonna look to see who I should vote off. For now, I'm just gonna Vote: No Lynch

Now is the time for me to bring a few truths to the table, as well as multiple suspicions. This will be the only chance I will get, due to the fact that I will inevitably be killed at night, if not lynched on this day.
I am a Seer. In the past two nights, I've researched Kat - whose alignment is to the villagers - and Pikashock - who is a werewolf.
These are both extremely important, as it shows one person for who he is, and ensures another's safety in the daytime. I would encourage you to lynch me to make sure, but doing so would lead to wolves outnumbering villagers unless a doctor protects the correct person.
I'd also like to bring up my many suspicions: Suds is not likely to be a wolf; two of his fellow men attempted to kill him, and while he may have been a scapegoat, he's good in my books now. This means that the only suspect remaining as a wolf is RioluOmega.

GAH, I had a huge plan in which you guys would lynch me, and there would be a 50/50 chance that you guys would beat the wolves because coin toss, but now it's all RUINED BECAUSE OF JIKU.
