Help Me Train!

A tan feathered figure looked at the mountainous range as he gave a casual sigh. Someone wanted him to come and fight them, he wasn't sure if he would come out victorious or not though. After all, the archen was part rock. He shook his head, ruffling his feathers in the wind as he started forward. He had successfully refused Astrid's coming on the mission, despite the dratini's annoyingly cute protests. He wondered if he had to win or lose to complete the mission...he decided he would just fight to win, hopefully the pokemon wouldn't be angered by that.

Jeff was not intimidated at all, oddly enough. He stood ground too, waiting for the pokemon to attack. His leg still was in pain, but not as much as before. He cringed but immediately regained his composure.

The Mightyena growled in a loathing anger before throwing her head up in a howl, summoning one other pokemon to fight by her side.
Acro groaned in annoyance, but at least the pokemon seemed to be very weak. As it stumbled out from behind a rock and toppled over onto its face. The Archen decided to ignore that pokemon for now and focus on the Mightyena that somehow still had some fight left in her.
The Hitmonchan noticed that nobody was even doing anything, they were at a standstill. He guessed that it would be up to him to do something, so he darted towards the Mightyena, in a Mach Punch, getting a good hit on the pokemon's jaw before fleeing back to the other side so he would not be harmed by the new enemy.

This dice is not existing.

Jeff, however, was startled by the new Pokemon, and turned to see what it was. He prepared for whatever was coming his way. To do this, he put his feet in a stance suitable for quick movement and agility. If all went well, he'd be able to dodge the attacks as they came his way.

It was another mightyena, a male one that must have been the other's mate. The male mightyena howled in rage as his spouse was attacked, he helped the other mightyena up as she gave him a lick on the cheek as a thank you. The mightyenas turned to the other pokemon that defied them their hunt, growling and howling. They did not seem to want to attack just yet as their power was raised by their howl attacks.
Acro was unsure of how to handle this situation, should they run? Should they hide? Should they attack? He decided it was best to ask the group, "Oi...what should we do?" he asked.

"I don't know! I didn't think this too far ahead!" Jeff said aloud. "Maybe the Hitmonchan has an idea?" He was getting antsy as he saw the Mightyenas. "Oh boy. What have I gotten myself into?" He thought to himself. "Well, let's keep this up. I'm sure I can get out of it."

"Ideas? Mate, my idea of fighting is to just wail away. Now let's go!" The Hitmonchan pulled off another Mach Punch, darting in and smashing the female Mightyena in the jaw before using the speed gained from the attack to get out of the range of the mightyena so he would not be attacked.
Acro was enveloped in a purple aura as he picked up nearby rocks with his Ancient Power and hurled them at the opposing duo. The rocks smashed into the male, but missed the female. Acro tried to do it again, but most rocks he picked up just wobbled and feel. The Archen was growing tired.

Jeff attacked with Crunch on the male. "Gotta protect the Archen. Gotta protect the archen." he said to himself, making sure that the archen was not knocked out. After all, he was the reason Jeff was here. Even if it wasn't for a rescue team, he at least explored with someone other than himself. And that was good enough for Jeff.

The Archen screeched as he was bitten by the female. In turn, his tail glowed and he was able to slam it into the Mightyena, causing her to screech in pain and collapse. One mightyena down, one to go.
The Hitmonchan meanwhile had been attempting to help the Charmander by keeping it distracted and using machpunch whenever he saw an opening. The Hitmonchan struck its face once more, and caused it to yelp in pain. This mightyena seemed weaker than the last.

"I got your back!" Jeff said, using a Crunch attack. He also had learned from constant training that you have to wait for an opening to attack, otherwise your enemy can strike you first. The thing was you had to know when to time it, since perfect timing could do more than decent damage to an opponent. He used this skill against the current foe very well.

The Archen and Hitmonchan watched the Mightyena and the Chamander duel for a moment, afraid of hitting the small lizard by accident, before rushing in once more. The Hitmonchan used Mach Punch once more and the Archen used an iron tail. The Mightyena screeched in absolute pain, before falling over, defeated.
The archen was breathing heavily, and was too busy trying to catch his breath to speak.
The Hitmonchan managed to say, "Well that was a bit of fun! Thanks for helping me out there, that was a real work out right there!"

"No problem. I just wish I had a rescue team to explore with. Oh well. I'll most likely run into my next partner soon. I hope." he said, looking to the sky. "Soon." His last words rang through his head as he gazed into the blue sky.

"I hope you do too" The Archen smiled. He wish he could accept the charmander, but his fear of the chamander leaving him like the others was too great. He turned to the hitmonchan, "I-It was a pleasure fighting with you...I guess?"
"Yeah~ It was fun! A real challenge, mate. I'm tired now though, so how about we all get out of here and go home?" The Hitmonchan laughed and asked. He looked to the charmander, "You both were awesome little buddies!"

"Yeah. Home. Great." He replied. He didn't know why the archen accepted him into the rescue team he had, but he respected his wishes. Sighing, he departed for his home. His tail flickered brightly as he walked the way there.

The Archen felt bad about the charmander, but what's done was done. He escorted the Hitmonchan back to the guild, where the reward would be distributed. The Archen had no issues with wild pokemon on the way back surprisingly. Maybe it was because of the big strong looking hitmonchan that followed him the entire way. Either way, they had made it back safely.
