A late partner.

George was rushing through the Guild, trying to get to the guildmaster in time. "I'm Late! by quite a lot too!" After making a trail of fallen people behind him he approached the door. Being Polite, and reading the nearby sign, he knocked on the door. Hoping his friend was still there.

He kept knocking, hoping that the guildmaster or his friend Acro was still there. That's what he gets for sleeping in for one day, missed the recruitment. "Come on. Anyone there?" George then sat against the wall with a sigh. "I missed it... Now I need to be recruited for the guild and registered for Team Roark" The Buizel sighed again and waited for the Guildmaster to return.

Acro had just woken up and was just leaving his new room when he spotted George, "George!" he exclaimed. He ran over to his friend, "I'm sorry, I got so nervous that I forgot you were coming!" Acro sighed at his own mistake. How could he have forgotten that his own friend was coming? He shook off the guilt and asked, "How long have you been waiting? I hope it wasn't long!"

"I'd say about 20 minutes..." George replied. George then took off his neckerchief and looked at it. "Hm... Funny, my brother wore this the day he first entered the guild looking to be a member." George then put the green neckerchief back on. "I wonder though..."

Acro didn't know what George was talking about, and decided not to ask about it. He thought he would just bring back bad memories he assumed George had. Acro knocked on the door and called, "Hello? Faye? I kind of forgot to tell you about something." Acro leaped a few inched away from the door in case it opened, it still hadn't opened, "Maybe she's still asleep?" he suggested.

"Time will tell my friend, Time will tell. You can head back to your room. I'm willing to sit out here and wait." George then pulled out a small ball and bounced it against the wall.

"No, I should wait here, I made the mistake of signing up without you." Acro insisted. This was only a partial reason, he felt a bit frightened in the new guild with almost all the pokemon towering above him. George was the only pokemon he knew in the area.

"Okay it's fine by me..." George pulls out an oran berry and splits it in half. "Would you like some Acro?" George held out the piece.

Faye opened the door to her quarters, using a vine to rub her eyes. She smiled at the two, "Oh hello Acro.. what can I do for you?" she asked, stifling a yawn.
"I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner... it's not all the time that I'm caught napping."
The Meganium chuckled, her yellow antennae perking up slightly as she woke herself up.

George looked at the Guildmaster. "I'm George, Arco's friend. I was gonna sign up for the team but Acro got too excited and signed up without me. I was hoping I could get put on Team Roark's Roster." George then took a deep breath after saying so much.

Faye nodded, "I'd be happy to add you to the list."
She quickly ducked behind her door to fetch something. The Meganium returned within a few seconds, her vines carrying an explorer badge. She handed it to George.
"Anything else?" she asked, tilting her head. She didn't at all mean to sound rude, but everyone got little cranky sometimes when they were woken from their nap. Despite this though, she smiled warmly at the Buizel.

George thought for a minute. "Not that I can think of. Thank you very much! Sorry about waking you though." George smiled nervously.

"It's fine," she smiled, "Things like this happen sometimes. It's the risk of being a Guildmaster I guess!"
Faye laughed good-naturedly.
"Well anyhow... I guess I'll be seeing you both around then. Acro can show you to his room. I can have another nest added to it within a few hours."

"Okay! follow me!" Acro smiled, he dashed toward the entrance of the sleeping quarters, "Come on! Come on!" he called, "We don't have all day, we have to get you settled and maybe start our first mission!" his tail wagged in excitement as he waited for his friend.
