The sun warmed Lumina's fur as she walked along the path to Serene Cave. Furret and Linoone were trailing along behind her, bouncing happily and chattering nonsense to each other. They were young, much younger than Lumina, despite their evolved forms, and what little of their conversation she paid attention to, she couldn't help but shake her head and smile. They were 'ultra-super-mega-excited' to see the Grassveil Guild, and see their friend Faye.

It was nice to see such joy from such little things from children, Lumina reflected. "We're approaching Serene Cave now, boys," she said, looking back at them kindly. "Now remember, I have another request I'm fulfilling besides yours. Basically, I have to find Marill and convince him to stay in school, the foolish lad," Lumina shook her head.

She looked up at the cave entrance. "Alright, you guys ready?" She asked. Furret bounced up and down excitedly.

"You betcha, Miss Lumina!" He said happily.

"Yeah, I can't wait to go exploring! It'll be just like when we work at the Guild!" Linoone chimed in.

Lumina chuckled, but didn't say anything, instead pulling an Oran berry out of her bag and biting down on it. Sweetness bloomed in her mouth and she closed her eyes, enjoying the tasty berry. She finished the berry, and then led the small group inside the cave.

If the diglett was intimidated by Kesto's warning, it didn't show it. Instead, it tried to pull Linny down into the hole it had made. "Ah! Get off!" Linny cried out.

Lumina didn't let it get any further. Freezing the diglett with a Psyshock was easy enough. Linny was able to pull himself away from the diglett as it was held in the psychic field. In the next instance, the wave of psychic energy faded and the diglett growled again, disappearing beneath the earth.

Suddenly, the cave rumbled. The earth began to shake, though it was nowhere near as powerful as an Earthquake, it still sent waves of pain through Lumina's form. "Ugh, get out of there!" She gritted her teeth.

Time to take the diglett seriously. She didn't know the move Dig, but she could still pinpoint where it was hiding and dig naturally. It would take longer than using Dig, but she could still get rid of the diglett.

She focused on her psychic abilities and noted the diglett burrowing toward Kestro. "Oh no you don't," she muttered, and sent another wave of Psyshock towards the diglett. It let out a cry as it finally surfaced, pain in its eyes.

"L-leave h-him a-alone!" the bidoof suddenly spoke up. "H-he's just m-mad about y-you guys b-being here! J-just leave a-and he'll l-leave you alone!"

Lumina cast a glance towards Kestro and her clients. "If that's the case, let's move on," she said calmly.

Kestro huffed, brushing the stone and dirt off of his head before wrapping his turban back on. "Sorry, but please do ask before you attack someone," he told the Diglett before starting to move off. "Now, where were we?... Ah, right, overinvestment. So as I was saying, you two already have great speed, and investing into it is a good idea. The thing is, how fast do you really need to be? Linny already has quick attack, which is what's called a priority move. Those are moves that happen so fast, only a few select abilities and moves can move faster. An idea that might work better for you is to raise your attack strength. You already hit fast, but that means nothing if you feel like a soft pillow each time you hit someone. So..." again he kept droning on and on about battles, techniques, moves, etc.
