Welcome to the heist brief thread! Each heist that the Phantom Thieves take on will have it's own thread where members can accept the responsibility of completing a preparatory task, discuss the final plan and other such activities relating to the heist. All important updates concerning the heist will be added to the first post (i.e this one).

Discussion of potential additions or tweaks to the final heist plans (including complete overhauls if you have an alternate idea you'd like to suggest) are heavily encouraged here!

- Current Information -
This section details all information that is currently known about the current target. This can include but is not limited to their identity, any noted behavioral traits, the location of any security measures and the location and identity of the treasure to be stolen.

  • The mark is a pokemon posing as an expert in identifying gemstones.
  • They identify real gemstones as fakes and then purchase them for less than they are actually worth.
  • They work out of Grassveil Town's market place.
  • The target is this pokemon's treasure of numerous gemstones.
  • The mark is a male Butterfree by the name of Argus.
  • Argus uses his ability Compound Eyes to 'examine' gemstones with his increased accuracy.
  • Argus runs a small jewelry stall in Grassveil's market place which acts as a cover for his scam.

- Preparatory Tasks -

The tasks that will need to be completed before the heist can begin are listed here! This can be added to or tasks can be removed from it as the plan changes and/or more information is gained. Tasks are often given a small brief, but you are allowed complete creative freedom over them as long as the details coincide with what other members have already 'discovered' and the brief itself is eventually completed. Members may also suggest further prepatatory tasks they think are necessary.

The task list will often be changed to reflect the progress of the tasks listed. If a task is coloured green, it has been completed by whoever opted to do it. A task that has been striked through is either currently unavailable as other information is needed first, or has been deemed as no longer necessary and so has been struck off the list.

Task | Specialty Wanted | Assigned To

• Identify the scammer in Grassveil Town’s market area | Intelligence | Synd'r
• Gain intel on where the gemstones are kept | Intelligence | Alki
• Scout out the location of the target for any security measures | Intelligence | Unassigned
• Publicly out the ‘expert’ as a fake and gauge his reaction | Tactician | Unassigned

Each completed task for this heist will be rewarded with 600 poke. Until an IO budget is applied for, this reward money will be supplied by myself.

In order to take on a task, merely post in this thread using the following format to show which character or group of characters are going to be completing the task;

Code:
[size=11][b]» Prep Task:[/b]
[b]» Characters:[/b]
[b]» Thread:[/b]
[b]» Other Notes:[/b]
[/size]

Once you have finished a task, please let me know by posting in this thread once again with a brief summary of the task's results! For any further questions, please refer to the FAQ below or PM @Solilo.

- FAQ -

How do I get my reward from completing a task?
Once the task has been completed you may post an admin request requesting the correct amount of poke as a reward. If the reward is not monetary and is instead an item, you may immediately add that item to your characters inventory upon the information from your task being added to this thread.

Do I get to keep items that I obtain for a preparatory task?
If the item is specified as needed for the final plan by the prep task then no, that item will be 'handed over' so that it may be used in the final heist. If the item ends up not being used in the final heist however, the item will be returned to the individual who obtained it.

What happens if an essential preparatory task is not completed but the user/character who is meant to be doing it is inactive?
If certain preparatory tasks are taking too long and a member goes inactive, one of two options will be utilised. In the first, we will just remove the task from the list ooc and have Synd'r complete the task IC, with appropriate details from the task being added to the 'current information' section to reflect that. In this case, no character gets the reward. Alternatively it will be returned back to an 'Unassigned' status in order to allow someone else to take up the task if they wish to gain the appropriate reward from it.

Can I take a prep task even if I don't have the specialty that's listed?
Of course! The specialty wanted is mostly a guideline for the sort of thing that you'll be expected to do as part of that task. If you want to try anyways that's absolutely fine.
