Of Dark Types and Dragons

Alkere had quite the problem before her.

On one hand, it had been a pretty long trip to Rainfront. It would be a waste of time to head back home without even doing anything. Sure, she had said 'hi' to a couple of the villagers and browsed the nearby shops, but she hadn't done anything of real value. She hadn't found anything new and exciting, or chased down an outlaw, or explored her surroundings. She wanted to do at least one of those things before heading back to Grassveil. On the other hand, well, what was there to do? She could try exploring, but she was pretty sure the Mystery Dungeons here seemed a bit too tough for her.

She spent about five seconds deciding what she'd do before heading towards Pricklemist Hill. She'd never learn anything beating up Caterpies in Pecha Forest for the millionth time anyways, right? It never hurt to challenge herself. Even if it turned out she was way over her head, it wasn't like this would be the first time she'd loose a battle. So what did she really have to loose? Maybe she'd find something neat in the Mystery Dungeon. Or stop some kind of evil plan in the making! ... probably not, but you couldn't know for sure.

That was the story of how Alkere stood at the base of a misty hill, her dark eyes narrowed as she gazed upwards at the mysterious house. Unflinchingly, she took a couple steps forward, digging her heels into the ground to keep herself from falling. The Bagon occasionally glanced around, her curiousity beginning to take hold. Was this hill part of a Mystery Dungeon, or did it only start when she entered that house? Hmm. Well, one way to find out.

Energy: 16 - 10 = 6

"That is false... I'm a traveller, not a resident of this place" Deimos commented, shrugging somewhat. He saw the Linoone turn it's sights towards Deimos, however he didn't react. He let the Feral Pokemon charge, knowing Future Sight was about to active. And so it did, 're aura grew much stronger during the charge, soon turning into a brutal surge of pure kinetic Psychic energy. "I'm merely here to scout out the area and for more experience, that is all" Deimos remarked, technically not lying in any way.

The Bagon nodded, she wasn't too disheartened about loosing the 'argument' about him haunting the place. She hadn't been serious with that in the first place. Besides, why would she be upset about meeting an actual Pokemon, one who could potentially help her get through this place? She turned her attention back to the feral Pokemon, but the Linoone had already slumped over, seemingly defeated by the Future Sight attack. She looked back over towards the dark type. "I was just here exploring, too. Haven't gotten very far yet, as you probably noticed." She asked, a little bit embarrassed by her lack of progress. She once more adjusted the pink ribbon tied around her wrist, it had grown a little loose during the short battle, and Alkere definitely didn't want to lose it. It was her key to becoming a Salamence!

An explorer then... Perhaps a Guild Member, Deimos mentally noted to be cautious of what he said, he was unsure of if the Guild was friendly or not to the small 'Kingdom'... Better safe than sorry. "I see... I'm just here to scout the area... As one adapted to mountainous conditions a place such as this is relatively easy to maneuver through" Deimos spoke, shrugging a little. Sensing the cloud of gas take form behind him, Deimos glanced back to the Ghastly... The same one as last time?

Realizing that it'd been detected, it deformed and fled near immediately, having recognized Deimos as the Absol that had defeated if and it's gengar friend previously.

Alkere paused as she realised there was something behind her, following the Absol's gaze to a ball of gas. A Gastly, right...? Why was it running away? She shurgged it off, looking back over to the white and black Pokemon beside her. "Well... thanks for the help." She offered. She could've handled that on her own, she figured, but it was nice to get some help in fights. Didn't want the Mystery Dungeon to wear her down, especially when she lacked Oran Berries or something else to heal with. "I'm Alkere. Do you have a name, too, or am I going to need to keep calling you Disembodied Voice?" She joked, a smile on her face. ... though the nickname didn't really fit anymore, did it? Not that Alkere cared very much.
