The Dreaded Escort Mission

Mission:

A brown, red, and blue shape accompanied by a purple pokemon that was larger than it. The brown bird like pokemon spoke to the purple pokemon, "So you're Mienshao?"
"Yes" the pokemon replied.
"Alright, I can get you to the falls" Acro the Archen replied, I think... he thought. The Archen walked in front of the meinshao, leading the way for the pokemon. He had been to the falls before, it would be easier to get there that way. What made Acro wonder was why a fully evolved pokemon would want help in such a dungeon that wasn't as strong as said to be. Acro was a higher level and could take on this forest easily, so why couldn't the other pokemon?

Jack slowly crawled halfway out of his shell, keeping it firmly on his back, "I'm...I'm ok. It was just a little...jarring, being exposed like that.." He shivered when he thought of it, being flipped over and exposed like his shell was no protection at all... He shook himself off, "S-sorry, just...give me a little time to cool off, ok?" He crawled back into his shell and checked his glasses and novel, the glasses had a little frost on the lenses, and the book was half-frozen, the pages stiff, but still readable. The rest of the inside of his shell was white with a light frost, but it didn't matter much, he was used to the cold. He crawled back out with his glasses on and the novel in his tentacles, "Alright, I'm ready. Let's keep going.."

Acro had no clue what went on inside the shell, and had no clue how just going into a shell and coming back out made the Omanyte feel better. He decided not to question it for now and speak, "Alright, we better keep moving the ruckus could have attracted any friends they had or maybe some thieves looking for easy pickings" The Archen had never been robbed before, but he didn't want to take the chances for it. He had a valuable Joy Ribbon wrapped around his neck that he never wanted to lose!
"We just have to keep going straight and we'll be there!" The Archen chimed.
"Thank goodness, how long?" The Mienshao asked with a sigh of relief.
"Not sure about that part..." Acro said with a nervous laugh that caused the Mienshao to pout a bit but stay silent.

Jack opened his book and waved his tentacle nonchalantly, "Alright, let's do that, then." He opened his book, and started walking the way they were going again. The book started to thaw out, moistening the pages, "Hey Acro, can you blow some air on my book? It's getting wet, and I don't want it to start falling apart.." He needed the book to keep his mind off of what had previously happened, he was feeling exposed, and stuffing his face in a book helped him clear his mind.

Acro had no clue what the pokemon meant by blowing air on the book, and was about to ask what he had meant since there was two ways to do it which was with his beak or to flap his wings but he noticed something just ahead hidden away in bushes. He grew distracted as he darted towards the item, thankfully not moving too far from the group.
The mienshao on the other hand, overheard the Omanyte's issue and tried to help, "I'll do it!" he said. He took a large leap into the air, utilizing bounce, and came crashing down near the Omanyte but not on it of course. The land caused a gust of air to rush through the pages, possibly even too much air!
