A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptyFri Jun 14, 2013 6:34 pm

That mean Scraggy has been terrorising my family far too long now. Please go and teach him a lesson! But don't hurt my family, please. They already went through so much...

» Client: Sneasel
» Objective: Defeat Scraggy
» Place: Blackmist Mountain
» Restrictions: Don't fight any Sneasel or Weavile
» Difficulty: F
» Reward: 100 Poké, Blast Seed
» Exploration Points: 10
Mordred stared at the paper in his hands intensely, as if trying to make the words on it disappear. He couldn't believe it- there was no way. But no, there was still the possibility... He shook his head, forcing his thoughts out of the way. There was no time to dawdle, especially with the possible situation at hand. His grip caused the small note to crumple ever so slightly, before it forced the sheet back into his Treasure Bag.

The Scraggy stopped at the foot of a large mountain, gazing up with a blank expression. The large mound of dark earth towered over him like a looming predator, its ominous peak piercing the somber sky. The small reptile hesitated for a moment, memories flooding back to him. He'd barely survived the mountain range, and survived at the cost of his eye. If such things happened to him in the range, then he hoped to Arceus almighty that he would be able to come out of the large mountain in one piece. But alas, the doubt still managed to overcome his positive thinking.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart before finally starting his climb. If his memory served right, then the Sneasel's family territory should be at the middle level of the mountain. Absol territory were usually near the highest level, while the steel types usually resided near the lowest. But that didn't stop their frequent hunts. The reptile knew he had to be wary as to avoid crossing the wrong territories. 'Just need to find the Sneasel territory... just need to find the Sneasel territory...' He silently chanted in his thoughts as he walked on the rocky terrain.

A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptyFri Jun 14, 2013 7:00 pm

An archen flapped his wings uselessly as he leaped from large rock to another large rock. He kept his sharp eyes on the look out for any items. He was searching for any useful items that could be around. He usually found good stuff just lying around here. He wondered if it was just his luck or this place in general. Other then the time he had came here with Leif the abra, he had gone through this area with no real trouble. Acro looked up at the tall mountain that seemed to touch the skies before him, he had never reached the peak though. The clouds towards the top seemed a bit ominous, being dark and covering the tip. He shook his head and decided, "I'll head up there when I grow stronger...maybe once I can fly." Acro noticed a Scraggy not far off from where he had been hopping about like spearow. He decided that maybe he should leave it alone...it might be one of those feral pokemon for all he knew. He made a jump for another rock, but miscalculated it. He fell and slammed his belly and beak into the rock. He gave a loud screech as he fell to the ground and laid there, a bit dazed.

PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptySat Jun 15, 2013 5:46 am

Mordred nearly tripped over his feet when he heard an unusual screech sound nearby. Turning around, he saw a peculiar bird-like pokemon on the ground. Seeing the wings, feathers, and beak made the scraggy feel a bit hesitant. What if it was feral? It could've been preparing to ambush him or steal his stuff or- wait. The reptile took a closer look at the fallen pokemon, noticing a familiar bag swung over its feathered body. A Treasure Bag. The design on it was definitely from the Guild. Was this an explorer?

The dark type took a few more hesitant steps towards the bird, stopping a few feet away from it. "Uh. Are you alright?" He asked, careful as not to sound feral or sinister that may tick the bird off. It was possible the odd avian didn't actually own the bag, heck it could be an outlaw who stole from another explorer, but the scraggy couldn't be sure. It wasn't right for an Explorer to leave someone in need, no matter how much the lizard wanted to. He had to at least check on it.

A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptySat Jun 15, 2013 10:35 pm

Acro picked himself up from the ground, his vision was a bit jarred and he was seeing double of things. He looked up to see a scraggy and what appeared to be a dratini slithering up to the side of the Scraggy, "I would have said 'OK' but I'm seeing a dratini that isn't there..." he replied. He sat down in attempt to get his head back together.
When the world seemed to stop spinning, he heard, "But...I really am here Acro..." He looked at the dratini to see that it was Astrid, that dratini that had been assigned to his team!
"What are you doing here!? I told you to stay at the guild!" Acro panicked.

Astrid ignored the Archen's questions and turned to the scraggy, "Hiya! I'm Astrid! I'm a dratini, what pokemon are you? I've never seen a pokemon like you before, you look SOO cool!" The dratini rambled on to the scraggy, in attempt to befriend it. Astrid liked the scraggy, he was concerned for her team leader, which meant he was a good guy. Good Guys meant good friends to Astrid.

PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptySun Jun 16, 2013 2:11 am

'Guild?' The scraggy shifted his attention from the Archen to the Dratini. Relief washed over when he realized these pokemon were apparently from the Guild. So, the possibility of them being thieves was cut, but the reptile was still feeling suspicious of them. They'd only just met, after all. He turned to the slithering dragon- about to ask some questions but was cut off its lively nature.

Mordred seemed a bit overwhelmed by the Dratini's enthusiasm. He'd never encountered that many dragon types in the past, but the rumors and legends that shrouded them made him hesitant to talk with the blue pokemon. But from the Archen's words, the Dratini should be from the Guild, so the chances of it trying to kill him were fairly low. That, and the dragon seemed much too friendly and naive to have any bad intentions. He waited for it to finish its zany introduction, before finally answering its questions.

"Well...I'm a Scraggy. The name's Mordred. So, you're both explorers?" He asked, wanting some validation.

A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptyTue Jun 18, 2013 5:03 am

"Yes silly!" The dratini chimed happily. Astrid slithered excitedly around the scraggy, "We're team Roark! Acro is the leader and I just joined it! It's our first adventure together, are you out on an adventure too Mordy?" the dratini asked happily. His eyes glittered as he stared at Mordred, waiting for an answer practically in the scraggy's face and being rude by complete accident. Astrid found himself being dragged out of the Scraggy's face by an annoyed Archen.

Acro frowned as the dratini began to show improper manners to the scraggy and getting in the scaggy's face with excitement. He reached out with his claw and dragged Astrid back by his tail.
(SORRY ;A; it was either this or nothing ;m;)

PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptyFri Jun 21, 2013 5:47 pm

Mordred gulped, feeling increasingly uncomfortable in the glittery gaze of the lively dragon. And... 'Mordy'? That sounded like an absurd nickname. The scraggy was never keen on nicknames, not since most of his past nicknames were insults from his siblings and clanmates. There was only one nickname he would approve of, and that was reserved for pokemon he deemed dear.

"Uh... well, nice to meet you, Team Roark. I'm an explorer as well- the sole member of Team Valor." The scraggy explained, wanting to finish introductions. He winced when he saw the Archen suddenly pull at the dragon's tail. He'd never found such gestures amusing, as he had never had that happen to him before. And he hoped not. It looked rather painful. He swallowed his reluctance, continuing to speak. "Well, I'm here on a mission. Seeing as you two are going to explore the mountain too, how's about we work together?"

"YES. Y.E.S. Please! I'd love to go exploring with Mordy! It'd be so fun!" The dratini then began to wrap himself around the Scraggy in attempt to hug him. He was not stopped, for the guardian Archen was busy himself.

Acro could have sworn he heard footsteps or pawsteps or something. He looked around, the boulders that surrounded them could have easily made good hiding spots. "Hey uh...Mordred... are you alone?" he asked the Scraggy, hoping what he heard was just a shy friend that was too scared to show themselves like he used to be a long time ago. He was wrong.

Mordred gave an awkward smile as the Dratini agreed. Well, that's one worry off his chest. Traveling through Black Mist Mountain may be more of a risk alone, but maybe if he climbed with these two he'd have a better chance at surviving. His eyes widened as he saw the lively dragon suddenly begin wrapping its cold, reptilian tail around him. He took an instinctive leap backwards, losing balance and falling on his bum. He winced at the small impact, not finding the rock hard ground any way comfortable. His eyes widened as he heard the faint sound of something walking nearby. Something heavy.

"Um... No? Did you two bring more members with you?" He hesitantly asked, hoping to get some sort of 'Yes'. He wasn't able to pick up on their answer as a sudden roar interrupted the area. The heavy, earth-shaking footsteps grew closer and closer. The scraggy stumbled back onto standing, having some difficulty on his footing. He got into a fighting position as best as he could, preparing to face whatever was going to appear.

What the dark type didn't expect, however, was the wall of the mountain next to them suddenly break. Thump! The dark earthy wall began to crack. Thump! The crack began to spread out, and Mordred could feel his heart racing uncontrollably. Thump! Thump! CRACK! BOOM! The wall practically exploded, shooting out large chunks of rocks as an enraged Rampardos suddenly broke through. It gave a loud, deafening roar. Its piercing red eyes shifted, before landing upon the small trio of pokemon. It growled, dragging its foot on the ground and aiming its head. The stance was similar to that of a Tauros preparing to attack.

"N-NO!" Acro screamed as the rampardos charged right towards him. He managed to dodge it just in time but the dratini had simply wrapped itself lovingly around the Rampardos's legs. The rampardos shook its leg furiously, angered by the nerve of the dratini. Acro screeched in fear for his partner and a purple aura surrounded him as he sent rocks flying at the pokemon, using Ancient power.

A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptySat Jul 13, 2013 1:53 am

Black Spear Mountain: perhaps one of the most formidable ranges in the land. The many peaks were hidden in the clouds; the black rocks seemingly melted together to form one impenetrable wall. As far as Sebastian knew, no-one had ever reached the top. Who would want to try, after all? The highest peak, Black Mist Mountain, was forever shrouded in a thick haze; it didn't earn it's name for no reason. Some say that the tip was out in space itself. Others say that upon reaching the top, the smog would become so thick that one would die from asphyxiation. Whatever the case, no two rumors one particular Cubone heard were the same.

Of course, this shroud of mystery is precisely what had intrigued Sebastian so much. A tall, dangerous mountain? That was PRECISELY what he was looking for! After his little inspiration jaunt into Pecha Forest, Sebastian felt like he could take on the world, and any mountain that scary was bound to have some secret locked deep within. The mist could be holding a secret of magic; what other place in the world was so unnaturally hidden? Needless to say, Sebastian had gotten up early, packed his journal, and set off to try and climb it!

_________________

That was at sunrise; an eternity ago. Sebastian had been climbing off the beaten trail and going around in circles ever since he set out. Sure, he got lost a few times. That was the price to pay for preferring to climb the sheer cliffs as opposed to walking along the gentle incline. However, this also meant he managed to avoid all the more wild inhabitants of the mountain. Still, the Cubone couldn't help but feel rather alone and insignificant in comparison to the peak he was attempting to scale; never mind how hungry he had gotten.

Thus, when the Cubone heard the commotion up ahead, he couldn't help but get excited. At last, other pokemon! Hopefully they'd be other explorers that Sebastian could swap tales with - Maybe they knew something about the secrets at the peak? Either way, the critter scrambled over the rock he had been scaling to greet them. Sebastian didn't even pause at the top to catch his breath, though perhaps he should of. The scene he saw simply took what little air he had left in his lungs away.

Down below, a trio of pokemon were being chased by perhaps the largest 'mon Sebastian had ever seen. It was a blue-scaled monster, and it was overall causing havoc everywhere. Rocks were flying in every which way; scrams and oars echoed throughout the sky. A tiny dratini was even caught up in the mess, apparently clinging to the dinosaur for dear life. Needless to say, the Sorcerer Extraordinaire couldn't leave without trying to help!

Now would be the perfect time to use his special talent, the reason Sebastian believed in magic. He shut his eyes and focused his mind for a moment; his right paw was outstretched over the scene, glowing with a faint purple light. Ever since he hatched, the creature had always been able to seemingly move rocks with his mind. Others referred to this as the move 'ancient power', but Sebastian refused to believe this. It was magic, he was sure of it, and none would tell him otherwise!

A few deep breaths later, and Sebastian's eyes opened once more; even they were glowing purple by this point. He scanned the scene once more for something that would be of use. A plan, the Cubone needed a plan. Brute strength wouldn't work for such a monster. The archen threw a few rocks at the Rampardos with the same technique - Which gave Sebastian the perfect idea. With a unnaturally loud snap, he released his focus.

More rocks glowed the same purple color, this time at the Rampardos's feet. Instead of flying into the creature, they wrapped around one leg, forming a column around it. Sure, it wouldn't hurt the creature or anything. That wasn't the point - Ideally, It'd prevent the creature from moving it's leg, shackling it in place so the others could escape. Of course, the Dratini was still in trouble, stuck below the monster. One step at a time, however - He could work out something while evaluating the effectiveness of his makeshift shackle.

A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptyThu Aug 08, 2013 5:44 pm

Mordred couldn't believe what was happening. A Rampardos had just burst out from the Mountain walls and was now going to attack them. He'd never seen the pokemon in real life before, but being raised in a mountainous clan had made him aware of how deadly these creatures were. They weren't exactly large in numbers to say, but just enough population to make solo travelings through mountains equivalent to suicide. Or at least, his previous mentors had told him. Although he had never trusted nor listened to those elder Psychics, having been despised and betrayed by quite a number of them as a child, he couldn't deny that their descriptions of this creature hadn't been far from the mark. Steel cap lined with spikes, hard metallic amor-like exterior, large build, and were overall the very description of 'Predator'.

The scraggy's knees seemed to shake, recalling the many incidents he had been told that involved this creature. Nearly 20 warrriors had been taken from his clan because of these huge beasts, most having brutal deaths that left them either crushed to the bone, torn to shreds, eaten, or a horrid mix of all three. It was surprising how his clan had any difficulty with these creatures in the first place. They were fighting, and Rampardos were supposed to be very weak to their attacks. Many argued that the massacring of the 20 warriors were primarily caused because of packs, while many simply stated that these huge beastly steel types didn't depend on normal attacks as they had and had the bigger advantage with their ability to make the most out of rocky terrain such as the mountains they had resided in. This one, the Rampardos the young explorer had just met, didn't seem to be traveling with any packs or making use of its attacks. It was blind with rage, and the reptile didn't know if he was to be relieved or panicked by that fact.

He finally came to when his newly met fellow explorers suddenly sprung into action. He watched, completely and utterly shocked, as the Archen narrowly dodged the incoming attack. He quickly maneuvered out of the way as well, not wanting to end up as the next target. He gasped upon seeing the Dratini wrap itself blindly around the enraged rock type's leg, seeming to not realize how dangerous its situation truly was. The reptile seemed frozen in place for a few brief moments, quickly attempting to decide whether to save the pokemon or to avoid the risk. He watched as the Rampardos thrashed and roared with frustration, before bolting towards the clinging Dratini. He couldn't just watch and let all of this happen! Let alone to an oblivious Dratini, no matter how foolish and somewhat irritating it was.

"WHOA!" He yelped, ducking just in time to avoid the incoming rocks. He hadn't expected the Archen to suddenly lunge the large boulders at the opponent, and was literally inches away from having his head collide with them. He quickly shot the Archen a glare, though it was more of a 'Watch it!' sort of glare instead of the usual hateful one. The reptile quickly scrambled back onto his feet, watching as the large stones met with the Rampardos. Around only one or two had actually hit it, barely having any effect on the angered pokemon. The rocks broke into pieces as the beast rammed them with its hard head and armor-like body, agitating it further.

Before long, more rocks were suddenly flung at the Rampardos. Only this time, they seemed more controlled and planned. The rocks formed a sort of shackle on the larger pokemon's leg. The rock type roared and struggled against the stone, trying to break off from the concentrated seal. It couldn't seem to move from its place as much anymore, and Mordred saw this opportunity.

Concentrating, he tried summoning one of his newer attacks. His body was engulfed in darkness, before he suddenly dashed. He disappeared in a flash, trying to use Faint Attack. About midway towards the Rampardos, he suddenly came back to view, but still maintained speed. He cursed under his breath, realizing that he was still far from honing the attack. He continued moving forwards, knowing that the rock type was too distracted to notice him making his move. He rushed to the Dratini, attempting to pull the dragon off of the Rampardos' leg. "Let... go!" He snarled, having difficulty keeping his grip as the large dinosaur-like pokemon continued to struggle and shake.

A Day Of Reunions Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day Of Reunions   A Day Of Reunions EmptySat Aug 10, 2013 1:53 am

Acro watched as a sudden brown figure in a strange look cloth swooped in on an attack similar to his own Ancient Power. He was confused by all of the commotion, and did nothing as the scraggy attempted to help his teammate. Acro finally snapped back to his senses and moved to help the scraggy with Astrid. He squawked in fear as the large pokemon began to trip and tilt with the dratini. The large weight of the pokemon fell onto the Archen's tail, and rendered him useless as the gaint pokemon began to kick about. The archen watched in horror as his rescue partner was suddenly being flung about like a ragdoll on the pokemon's foot. He watched as the young dratini was flung over the edge of the mountain and into what seemed to be a large rushing river, and disappeared from sight in the rapids. Acro knew that there was no way the dratini could have survived that, by now the pokemon would be bashed into rock after rock until unconsciousness finally took over. Acro watched as his last team member died before his eyes.

The Archen wailed in dismay, he had been too weak and was useless in the fight. He was about to think more about his vain existence when the Rampardos freed the Archen by getting up at last. The large grey rock type roared in anger, directing its anger at the Archen. Acro was paralyzed in fear as it ran towards him and bashed into him like a battering ram. The small prehistoric pokemon was sent flying quite a ways, and landed on a nice hard rock. He watched as the pokemon roared once more, except it was somehow in his face again. The Archen was covered in saliva from the pokemon's roar, and was nearly deaf from the sound. He did not care though, his last team member had finally left, and it was his fault.

(Could've been better but meh.. Astrid has now left this thread)
