» Why do you want to adopt them?: Ariel looks interesting and fun to roleplay. I'm intrigued by her personality and interests being so similar yet so different to my existing character.
My initial plan was to have Ariel join the Aileron Guild. I might still do that at some point, playing to her desire for fame and fortune, but for now, she seems best as an unaffiliated performer.
» Sample of roleplay:
One step forward, one to the side, spread the wings, twirl… Ariel was practicing a dance she wanted to perform in front of her friends. It was so nice of them to come and watch her shows, she thought happily. The taillow knew she was talented and had good friends who recognised her potential. It never occurred to her that they might be turning up out of a sense of obligation. Everyone got along swimmingly, right? There were other friends she’d lost touch with, but they must just have been busy. Their loss, Ariel supposed. They wouldn’t be able to attend the party she wanted to throw when she inevitably became rich and famous. It would be a splendid affair, with fine food and shiny objects everywhere.
Ariel hopped and twirled some more before finishing her rehearsal for the day. Now it was time to relax on her favourite tree branch as she thought about how she could make her latest show bigger and better. She hadn’t found anyone to fund her endeavours yet, so she would have to be thrifty. No matter, the young bird thought, she loved hunting for a bargain. Maybe she could gather up some of her best buddies and go exploring, too. All manner of shiny things were bound to be discovered on a trip to a mystery dungeon.
Shiny things! That might be the solution! Collecting a few flashy clothing pieces and building a decorated stage should draw a crowd and make her look even more impressive. Even if she started as a small name, news of a grand presentation would spread and attract more and more pokemon. Among those pokemon would no doubt be investors who would recognise her for the great performer she was. Some might tell Ariel that she was greedy and selfish, but she just really liked being in the spotlight. She would never go out of her way to upset anyone.
The young taillow shivered as a breeze wafted past. Why couldn’t it always be warm and sunny? She would have to collect some extra grass for her nest before she went home. Having something to make her stage warm and inviting would be great, too. It would be awful if she sang and danced in the cold. Making her audience more comfortable was a smart move as well. Everyone liked a warm and toasty environment, right? Maybe she would even be rich enough one day to give everyone a free scarf when they came to watch a show. That sounded like a marvellous idea. First, though, Ariel had to find one for herself, along with something pretty. The little bird took a breath and lifted off from her branch, heading toward the market of Grassveil and the stalls it hosted.

| Sorry, your application cannot be approved due to the following reasons: 1.) INSUFFICIENT ROLE-PLAY SAMPLEYour sample does not provide enough of a situation that helps portray the character's personality and actions. What it does show contradicts what the bio states of the character. It was stated that she performed plays rather than dances. She also enjoys being the center of attention, yet she's rehearsing somewhere where there's nobody else around when she hates being alone. There's not much substance to the sample beyond her simply sitting and thinking about things the bio stated about her-not much action or display of the characteristics beyond disliking a small chill of a breeze passing by. 2.) ADOPTION REASONINGYour reasoning is too weak and not all that detailed. It's vague and fluffed out by something irrelevant to the reasoning of adopting the character. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message any of the Character Moderators. May it be through the Chatbox or through Private Messaging, we will tend to your concerns as soon as we can. | |
