| "New place~ New place~ Gotta' go and see a new face~" A young and pitched voice echoed as a figure was merrily making its way down the stone path. Taking a leap with every stone he hopped on, "One Stone, Two Stone, Three Stone, Makin' my way down' the stream 'lone~" He took another leap until he was finally on the shore of the island of leaves in perpetual autumn. His tail wiggled as an smile grew on his face. He gave an excited hop, before hopping in a circle, and dashing inside, ready to explore the depths of the woods, and whatever waited inside. | |

| Ned meanwhile was busy trying to rake leaves away, preparing to dig a small hole under one of the many trees in the area to then hide in it, hopefully undisturbed, drinking tree sap until his evolution would finally set in. If it ever would set in. It has been so long now, that the Nincada was unsure whether he was even capable of evolving. Was there some sort of secret to Nincada evolution that the clan would have taught him if he had stayed there. The price he had to pay for remaining an honest Pokémon. It was a very painful and exhausting experience to stay a Nincada, always fleeing, but it was better than the alternative. Some day Ned would have to take down their evil ways. But that day was not today. He was far too weak for that now. He had to grow stronger. Wait and grow stronger. | |

| The small young skiddo was racing through the bushes and perpetually dying leaves, exploring the area as much as he could. He continued on ward, closing his eyes and letting loose a happy bleat, only to find his head ramming into the bark of a tree. The skiddo's bleat of happiness turned into fear as the goat pokemon began to panic, his handlebar-like horns digging into the tree, and he couldn't free himself! The young skiddo didn't know, that there was a strange bug type not far off, would it hear his cries? | |

| Indeed the Bug type was near. Quite near even as the Grass type had run into the other side of the tree the Ground type had been trying to hide under. However the force of the Grass type's impact had caused the tree to vibrate quite severely, sending these vibrations through the Nincada's body as well. So now Ned was quite dizzy and would most likely have thrown up, were bugs able to do such a thing. "Did someone get the license plate on that...I...urgh...I'm never drinking berry juice again, I promise." Unable to form a clear thought, the Nincada found himself stumbling around aimlessly, trying to shake off this concussion. What had happened and what was that brown heap of fur in front of him? | |

| The skiddo's hooves clambered about the ground in a panic, the Skiddo's head shaking as he attempted to free himself. His attempts were futile for as long as he panicked, the grass type having not thought clear enough to just stop freaking out and simply back up calmly and slide the horns from out of the trunk. The pokemon ceased his bleating, finally freezing up as he realized that his terrified cries would attract unwanted attention of predators. An Ursaring might even appear to gobble him up! Aries stood there, frozen in fear as he was unable to make a move to free himself. He then heard something not too far off, he swallowed, building up what small courage he had to even speak, "H-Hello?" His voice was shaking as the words struggled to leave his mouth, terrified that he might have just attracted a predator looking for an easy snack.

| Through his concussion and the terrible ringing in his head, a voice seemed to reach the Nincada's ears. Where did it come from and what did it want? Probably another Pokémon sent by the clan to hunt him down. When would it ever end? Would it ever end at all? "Uh...h-h-hello?", he asked back. "What do you want from me?" Just what had he done wrong that he could not have his peace and quiet for a few mere months? Whatever this voice was originating from, it just had to have found him. But how was he supposed to hide any better? | |

| The other voice seemed to be just as scared as the skiddo, Aries became confused and even more afraid as the other voice spoke. There WAS someone here, and they were either acting to lower his guard or there was something bigger and scarier out there that the other voice was afraid of. The skiddo wished he could turn to look, but he remained stuck with staring at the floor and bark of the tree as the wood refused to release his horns still. He pulled again, not expecting the tree bark to snap and release his horns, causing him to fall backwards with a surprised bleat, "OW!" he called. He got up, looking around nervously with his ears on high alert. "Wh-Who's there!?" he spoke in a scared yet demanding tone. | |

| "I-I asked first!", Ned replied. "A-and do you really think I'd be so stupid to tell you my name if I don't even know yours?" Ned definitely wasn't going to fall for this. That other Pokémon was simply trying to get him to lower his guard and to tell him his name. Probably to identify him as his target. Or to distract him while his allies snuck up on the Bug type to capture him and return him to the clan. But one question remained. Why did the other Pokémon have to wake him up so rudely? Wouldn't it have been smarter to attack while the Ground type had still been unaware of this Pokémon's presence? All of this probably was part of some bigger plan Ned couldn't even hope to understand. For now he only knew one thing: He wasn't allowed to let his guard down. | |
