| It was another day in Brian's life and he was about to travel into a new location. However, out of all the places he had traveled to in his journeys, this one was definitely the most foreign. Brian was used to seeing a normal woods, with the large trees, warm weather, uncountable bushes, and the sunlight piercing through the leaves. They were generally bland areas, but still nice nonetheless. The Icicle Woods were nowhere near this vision of a normal woods whatsoever.
The woods were freezing compared to any other area he's been to, though being a fire type and having a Defense Scarf around his neck made this less of an issue. All of the ground and even plant life was covered in snow, something that Brian had almost never been exposed to before. He had never been in a location where snowing was a normality, but as with most things it peaked his curiosity. Touching a little bit of it with his hand, Brian felt that it wasn't as soft as it looked. The snow simply blew off in the cold winds, leaving his hand feeling wet. Disappoint, but not discouraging. As Brian walked on into the woods, he wondered what he would find in this new, interesting location.

| The last few weeks had been quite exhausting and so William had decided to take some time off to relax in the cold wastes of the icicle woods. Careful not to disturb the perfectly even blanket of snow and to not get himself covered in cold snow the Ghost type levitated a short distance above the white substance, thus easily avoiding any and all roots and similar objects one might accidentally trip over as well. Luckily not many Pokémon ventured here as most of them didn't have the patience or the endurance to make the long journey to this place only to wade through frigid sleet and snow. And that meant that this undisturbed paradise of silence was free of most distractions, allowing for those few who actually ventured here and managed to dodge the feral Pokémon to have quite the place to calm down.

| As Brian walked onward through the chilling woods, he found himself becoming more enveloped in the area's atmosphere. There wasn't anything too spectacular around this place. No large landforms, no unique scenery nnothing like that from what he could see at this point. However, the simplicity seemed to fit well with this snow covered land. The blankets of white looked so serene and calming, even though it was nothing more then frozen water. Despite the cold weather, Brian felt a warm, almost roomy sensation from being here. This could just be because he's a fore type with a scarf around him, but nevertheless it was a good feeling.
While he was enjoying his trek through the woods, Brian was starting to get a little bored. He could admire the simplistic snow all he wanted, but that didn't change the fact that nothing was happening. There were no Pokemon anywhere, wild or normal. This should be a good thing as there wouldn't be any interruptions like this, but Brian couldn't help but feel like there should be more excitement. Eventually, he began to see something in the distance. He couldn't tell whether it was a Pokemon or something else, but he did know that it had a purple coloration. "What is that? Maybe another Pokemon? Well, only one way to find out." Brian said before running towards the purple object, hoping that whatever or whoever it was could make things more interesting.

| A single snowflake landed on the Gengar's hand. Thanks to his species' unique ability to act as a heat sink for the environment, it ensured that the crystal of snow would not melt too quickly, allowing for the Ghost type to admire the beauty of nature in the incredibly fragile and yet complex construct. How could it be that this shape and many others could be created simply by cooling water? But suddenly an unexpected sensation overcame the Poison type. It was - warmth. Why was something warm nearby? Looking around the spectral Pokémon managed to spot a slight orange glow on the horizon. Although barely visible through all the snow it just had to be the source of that impulse. There was nothing else around it could have been after all. | |

| Brian continued to run towards the purple object in order to satisfy his curiosity as to what it was. As he got closer, he began to see that what he saw was definitely a Pokemon of some sort, though he didn't know what Pokemon it was. His limited knowledge about other Pokemon did make identifying others a difficult task. However, he did have a hunch that whatever this Pokemon was has the typing of Poison, since Purple seemed to represent that type most of the time.
"Um, hello? Hello over there!" Brian said as he kept running towards the Pokemon, wondering how it would respond. If it said something as a reply to his statement, the Brian would know it wasn't wild. If it just lashed out at him without a word at all, then he would know it was wild. Seemed like a pretty good idea to him.

| Yes, this was most definitely a Pokémon. Either that or William was hearing voices. It was approaching quite quickly, so of course he was staying on alert, preparing to launch an attack in case of it becoming neccessary. While the content of the Pokémon's shouting didn't seem to imply any malicious intent one could never be sure - especially not this far away from town. "Greetings. What do you want?", he spoke, always remaining careful. Slowly he approached the glimmer, that most likely was the approaching Pokémon. It was a bit surprising - not many Pokémon approached him voluntarily due to his appearance - even less in a Mystery Dungeon such as this one. Why did this one? - Savato carried out 8 launched of one Icicle Woods :

| A response! That definitely meant that this Pokemon wasn't wild, which was good. It was much harder to make conversation with a wild Pokemon then with a normal one. "Hi! I just saw you over here and thought that I could join. Exploring is more fun when there are more Pokemon around." Brian said, grinning as he made more conversation with this Pokemon. Talking to others was the main way that most others made friends, and it could lead to fun moments. While Brian was one to talk more with his actions, it wasn't right to attack a random Pokemon without knowing whether it was wild or not.
This didn't seem to be the case with others as while he was running, chunks of ice came out of nowhere and flue towards Brian. However, he saw the ice in advance and jumped out of the way before it hit him. He then looked toward the direction that the ice came from and could see a few more Pokemon in the distance. Brian assumed that these Pokemon were the ones that shot that ice at him, confirming that these three were definitely wild. "Guess we have to take care of these three before we can talk more." Brian said as he put up his fist, ready for whatever the wild Pokemon had in store.

| "That depends on the intentions of those Pokémon you intend to surround yourself with. If they turn out to be hostile, then it could...-", the Gengar spoke, soon interrupted by a Sneasel's claw slicing straight through his incorporeal body. "Yes, exactly that.", the Ghost type sighed as he grabbed the Ice type's claw, tossing it over his shoulder and onto the ground with a Payback attack. While this move was generally effective for counterattacks, William once again had to admit that his moveset wasn't all that suited for dealing with Dark types. If only he could learn a Fighting or Flying type move. But no, that was outside the realm of possiblity. Breathing fire or electricity would be fun, but it just wasn't meant to be.

| In the corner of his eye, Brian saw one of the wild Pokemon slash at the Ghost type. He was about to go and help out, but then he saw the claw go right through him. It was like he was just some kind of reflection that the wild Pokemon attacked. However, just as the claw went through him, the Ghost type was able to retaliate with his own move. Brian was baffled for a bit before remembering that Ghost types were immune to certain types of attacks. The slash must have been one of those types, hence why the attack did nothing. This was such an interesting concept to him. The ability to be completely immune to an entire type of attacking moves. While all Pokemon had moves that they could resist, like his resistance to other Fire type moves, this was the first time he encountered a Pokemon that had this kind of immunity. However, this wasn't the time to get caught up in concepts like this. There were still two Pokemon to take out. Both of them sent out more chunks of ice to attack Brian, but he was easily able to dodge them with his quick footwork. He then shot out a flurry of Embers at the two, the floating one of the Pokemon dodging the flames but the other getting hit head on. Flustered from the attack, it was unable to see Brian dash up to it and ignite his fist for a powerful Fire Punch. He thrusted his fist forward and landed right on the mark, sending it flying backwards to the ground. This made one Pokemon down and one more to go, well for Brian at least. - pokepikoo carried out 1 launched of one Icicle Woods :

| The second of the two wild Pokemon Brian was facing went down as easy as the first. It tried to attack him up close but was evaded by his superior speed. Seeing an opportunity, Brian's fist ignited once more and slammed against the wild Pokemon with the power of Fire Punch. Once again, the Pokemon was sent flying backwards and to the ground, knocked out like the previous one. "Alright, they're both down. Kind of easy, but whatever. That just means I can talk to this Ghost guy sooner." Brian said, congratulating himself on the victory, though inside he wished that the two wild Pokemon put up more of a fight.
However, as he did this, another group of Pokemon were dashing towards him from the back. One of them was nearly behind Brian, trying to charge right into him. Hearing something behind him, Brian turned to see a large, brown furr cover Pokemon charging towards him. Not having enough time to jump out of the way, Brian decided to take the wild Pokemon head on. He used his Fire Punch and thrusted it towards the beast right as it got in his range, the resulting colisiom causing them both to be caught up in a large explosion. The impact sent both Pokemon back, with Brian landing on the ground in paid from the collision. "Ugh...that hurt..." Brian said as his face hit the ground, shocked at how much damage he had taken.

| Suddenly a sizeable explosion shook the snow-covered forest in front of the Ghost type. What in Giratina's name had happened there? Just to make sure the Ghost type decided to prepare with a few Oran Berries before joining the battle. As he approached, he found a Piloswine, a Smoochum and a Sneasel all standing around what appeared to be the Fire type from before, his face facing the snow. It would be a difficult battle trying to defeat all three of them and protect the Chimchar at the same time, but luckily William didn't have to do both. A wise Pokémon once said "The best battle is the one that doesn't need to be fought.", and William intended to heed this piece of advice. Swiftly he descended upon the Fire type, carefully picking it up as for not to hurt himself on the flaming body. And then - just as quickly the Poison type disappeared from the midst of the adversaries once more, flying onwards until he could see them no more, then landing again. - Savato carried out 5 launched of one Icicle Woods :

| Lying on the ground after the explosion, Brian was no longer in a position to be confident. There were three wild Pokemon ready to attack him, and he hadn't recovered from the impact yet. Most would probably be scared in this position but Brian wasn't one of those kinds of Pokemon. He knew why he ended up this way. If he paid more attention to his surroundings, then he would have seen the brown furred Pokemon in advance, allowing him to dodge. He accepted his defeat and while it would still hurt, he wouldn't let himself be consumed by fear.
Right before the wild Pokemon attacked him, the purple Pokemon came out of nowhere in between him and the other Pokemon. While Brian thought that he was gonna fight them off, the Pokemon instead picked him up and started flying away from the area. He couldn't believe that they were actually flying for a bit, but he then remembered that this was a Ghost type. Supernatural, out of the ordinary things seemed to be the norm with them. "Thanks for the save! Wouldn't have been able to get out of that if you weren't there." Brian said, thanking the Ghost type as the landed on the ground.

| Seems like their situation hadn't decided to improve just yet. Just as the Ghost type touched the ground again, another group of Pokémon approached them, their intentions most likely not too friendly. Just why did this sort of thing keep happening - especially when they were in situations as dire as this one? The Fire type needed calm and rest. And obviously he wouldn't be getting any of those in a battle. "Isn't that the job of a rescue team?", the Gengar asked jokingly. "But I fear we might not yet have gotten out of that as you referred to it. Our situation still isn't all that great. Well, guess we've just got to make the best out of it." - Savato carried out 2 launched of one Icicle Woods :

| Brian looked to see the two wild Pokemon as well, but also saw a third heading towards them as well, none of them looking very nice. He heard the Ghost type talk about how their situation wasn't the best, but they needed to make the best of their situation. He agreed that they had to make the best of what they had, but not with the bad situation part. While Brian wasn't in the best condition, that was all going to change in a moment. "Well, I'm not gonna let you go all alone against these guys." Brian said with a confident smile as he then took out his Reviver Seed and chucked it into his mouth. After gulping it down, he felt all of his energy come back and leaped up from the Ghost types arms. "Ah man, that seed really works. Okay, I'm ready to go again! Let's take these guys on!" Brian said energetically as he pounded his fist together, prepared to take on more Wild Pokemon. He had to make up for the time he wasn't able to do anything.
