Rouge looked around his small dank cave, the place was a mess. to be fair it was always a mess, but this time it was a mess because his small store of food had be ransacked. He picked up the half eaten Oran berry off the ground, and found that it had be soiled beyond the point of being ok to consume. It had been thrown in to fecal matter. At this point Rouge stomach growled, and he decided to stop these raids upon his home. He took the one possession that had not been stolen, his trusty bone club, and set out to find out who was doing this. Not twenty minutes had gone by after he took to following the trail did he find a cross roads with too many paw-prints to distinguish the culprits from, he was stuck. Looking at his surroundings, he found no bushes, nothing he could eat. He then searched for a good place to sit that was out of the way of any wondering pokemon, and sat behind a stone near the cross roads. He closed his eyes only for a moment, then fell into a dreamless slumber.

This place, it was strange. Black swirling mist at the top of a mountain, desolate looking land, and no trees or bushes to hide or take cover under. It wasn't lush like the woods of Shadowhue, where this fox normally resided. This place was much more foreign to her, but at least the darkness was here to comfort her. That was how it worked wasn't it? Dark types are to like the dark, the stealth it provided, making it easier to swipe items from under the noses of unsuspecting pokemon.

Stealing was necessary for her, it was the only way for her to live in this kind of world. Mirage the Zorua leaped onto a large stone, taking a higher view of her surrounding area. Still no sign of anything to swipe. She gave a huff of annoyance and seated herself, not yet spying the form of a slumbering cubone below until she had thought of jumping down. Once she had noticed it, the first thing she made note of, was that the cubone had nothing. No bag, no items, not even a berry to eat. Well, he did have a bone, but what was a vixen like her to do with a bone like that? It wasn't like it was worth anything.

"What are YOU doing here?" she huffed at it, speaking more to herself than the cubone.

The sound of that simple phrase woke the cubone, his eyes shooting open to gaze upon a Pokemon he did not recognize. With the agility of a magicarp on land, he stood up readying his bone to protect himself. He had no words to speak, for he had lost all of them long ago. He issued what challenging question he could about his ransacked home.

"Glarrten bluuu glariten!" was the unfortunate sounds that escaped his mouth before he stopped himself from embarrassing himself further. slowly, he started to back away slowly, now knowing he had no way to communicate properly. Before he took three steps back, he took one step forward in another attempt to communicate.

"Garrrtenal fooktina kreeeptes." He deiced that no matter what until he's either figure out who ransacked his home or managed some form of communication to ask her questions.

The zorua wasn't too surprised to see the cubone seemingly freak out, what did surprise her, however, was the strange language the cubone seemed to be speaking. The zorua lifted a paw and lowered her ears in surprise. What the heck was this thing saying? The zorua waited for it to finish rambling nonsense, before speaking herself, "What?"

Her face twisted in confusion, unable to understand the strange cubone. She remained upon her rock, the tone seemed a bit threatening, as if her were to attack her. Was this brown creature with a thick club and skull one of the wild pokemon that plagued these dungeons?

Rouge let his stance drop, but not too far that he would be defenseless against the strange Pokemon. He attempted to speak again, trying to convey that he understood her confusion.

"Connnnftision fffflettles ponkkkentirito!" He spoke trying to make a dizzy sign with his hand and bone. suddenly he remember what he had seen in many caves to convey skills to others. he backed up a bit and stated to drag the tip of his bone across the ground, moving the dirt as his bone moved. with in minutes he had made a crude picture of a cave with him inside of it and pointed back up the path he had taken before his nap. He nearly spoke again and the drew a berry on the ground with crossing line on top of it.

If his drawing didn't convey some message to this pokemon, he had no clue what would.

The zorua looked down at the messy scribbling on the ground. It showed a picture of a cave, with a figure that seemed to resemble the cubone with its club. She figured it must have been telling her where it lived. The Berry drawing was beyond her, since the way she interpreted it meant he had no berry, but the fact was quite obvious so it must have been trying to say something else with the drawing.

Mirage stared at the drawing for a moment, before looking back to the cubone and speaking, "You hungry or something?" the confusion was clear on her face, confusion mixed with interest in the strange pokemon. Normally a pokemon such as this with nothing in its pockets would have her walking in the opposite direction, but this pokemon seemed a bit different from what she normally saw.

Rouge nodded as his belly grumbled, he knew she must have figured out the drawings. he started to sketch a hazy Pokemon of no definable shape to one Pokemon and drew an equal sign to it and drew and arrow from the Pokemon to the cave.

"tooookeir fffoldtiredd..." his sound trailed off as he decided to draw a picture of him running and a sun with an arrow pointing the opposite way of the normal movement it makes, and next to it he drew the best bag he could and put a plus sign between it, hoping she would understand that it meant ransack.

The zorua stared at the image, studying it. He had begun with a strange creature, causing her to believe he didn't exactly know what shape it was, or it was a strange pokemon she had never seen before. It soon dragged the bone to create a equal sign, then connected the image to the cave. He spoke his cave-pokemonish language, and drew himself once more. Sense began to become lost, her interpretation changing into the cubone asking for her to help him hunt down a pokemon to take to his cave. She didn't quite know whether cubones were carnivores or not, so she asked the cubone, "You...want to catch some prey to eat it?"

He shook his head, just when he though he was communicating perfectly clear, it all fell apart. He scuffed over the drawings to erase them and went into though on how to convey his message. Then he decided, perhaps against his better judgement, to show her his home. he hadn't cleaned it yet, and it might provide a better form of communicating his predicament.

"Gloootoes forgeltrrswt." He waved with his had the universal follow me sign and started to walk away, after ten steps he turned back to look at her and motioned again. With any luck his messages would soon be clearer to her and he might at long last get a lead on where the Pokemon whom ransacked his home might be.

The tan pokemon with a skull of its mother atop its head had erased the drawings, and seemed to be beckoning for the infamous outlaw to follow. She hesitated, the odds of this being some kind of trap coming to her mind. She studied the cubone, the eyes that showed through the sockets of the skull seemed to be telling the truth, no flickering from side to side or avoiding eye contact or even making too much, the tell-tale signs of lying were missing, having the vixen conclude that he was genuinely as strange as he was.

Mirage gracefully leaped down from the boulder onto the ground, her ears giving a flick and giving her golden clip earrings a jingle as she did so, before she started to follow the lonely pokemon, giving it a chance to further tell her about his tale.

((I keep forgetting about those fracken earrings ;A; sorry |D))

Rouge nodded as he continued up the path, it was not long until his home cave was in sight. It was beautifully lit by the evening sun, several pools of stagnate water helping to reflect more light in, the cave was still in the sorry state he had left it. He sighed as he stopped and stepped aside to allow her access to investigate.

He had saw her looking him over earlier as if checking for a trap, and to try to calm her mind he laid his prized bone down on the ground and stepped back from it, giving up his only protective tool. As he stood there waiting for her to investigate, he scanned the horizon encase of danger or of other approaching Pokemon.

((it's fine))

Mirage had noticed the cubone set down its club, the most dangerous weapon it had apart from its own body. One strong hit from that club could probably bash her skull in if the cubone was powerful enough. She slowed her steps to pay attention to the cubone setting down the club, before picking up her pace again to enter the cave. Her fur was on end, a voice in the back of her head whispering for her to be cautious still, even with all of the signs suggesting against an ambush.

The place was messy, a berry lie on the ground that seemed to be covered in feces, she cringed as she opened her mouth and hung her tongue out in disgust at the very thought of what the berry must taste like now. She made a wide arc around the berry, not wanting to go anywhere near it, and began to examine the cave for clues to what had happened to the cubone.

The cave was messier than even any wild Pokemon to live in, not even a wild Pokemon would live in a cave where large piles of dung were present. there also looked to be a hole where various berries and seeds had been stored, all but two of the remaining seeds were soiled or half eaten with teeth marks that wouldn't match a cubone's teeth pattern. The place was obviously ransacked by a much larger Pokemon than the inhabitant.

Rouge continued to stand outside scanning the horizons for any sign of movement. His ear turned towards the cave every once in a while to try and detect when the mysterious Pokemon was about to leave the cave. His bone was still on the ground, a distance far enough that he could reach it quickly if need be, but not close enough to show any aggression.

((13-2=11))
Mirage couldn't stand the smell of this cave, she swiftly grabbed the two clean seeds between her toes, not daring to use her mouth in the case that they had touched the disgusting substance that had coated this cubone's home. She practically leaped out of the entrance, desperate for fresh air. She placed the two seeds out in front of her, each seed being identified as a Blinker Seed and a Bound Seed. The two seeds were known for their use in capturing outlaws to her, the bound seed keeping them in place, and the blinker for blinding an outlaw. The combination of the two would surely render even the fiercest pokemon completely helpless.
"Ugh, it's gross in there," she huffed, "Whoever did that sure didn't want you in there it seems."

Rouge nodded, she was finally understanding his situation. He wasn't sure exactly how she found what she did in there, but he was glad to see that there was something of use to her in there. He had no clue what the seeds or the weird flat shiny disk do, but he had collected them and put them in the hole where his food was.

He took up his bone and looked around for any clues for what Pokemon had done this atrocity. looking around, he found paw prints that lead to a large bush he pulled back the grass blades to find out what was there.
