Akuroma shuffled his way through the Shadowhue Forest. He had several rolls of paper sticking out of the bag he always carried with him. He had become bored with studying the brighter Pecha woods, and had decided a couple days ago to make maps of Shadowhue forest while also collecting samples. His only excursions here were with that Pokemon, so he was never able to fully study the woods. He took out a small sheet of paper, "Let's see, Shadowhue, famous for dark types, blah blah blah, ruins in the center, already knew that. Nothing else the library deemed important, guess I've gotta gather samples of anything that even appears slightly different," the Ralts said to himself before stuffing the small paper back into his bag and trudging along.

| Crysel nodded and was careful to check her surroundings. She saw a shadow and heard the soft flap of wings before automatically attacking the source with a Faint Attack. She moved quite strangely and with the naked eye, it looked like the target couldn't dodge her swipe. It was a Murkrow, cawing in pain as it was slashed at and flapping away with anger. It called out. "Stay away you Sneasel! I won't let any of you try to hunt us!" Crysel rolled her eyes. Yes, Sneasels tended to eat bird pokemon and their eggs when living in forests, but she was one for berries. "Calm down, I'm not here to hurt you." The Murkrow didn't listen and Crysel was forced to dodge its Peck attack. It was just focused on her really, ignoring the Ralts. | |

| Akuroma blinked and just watched the battle unfolding before him. "Huh, guess just sit this one out unless you want me to intervene," the Ralts said, plopping down against a tree as he watched the two Dark types fight. He kicked the tree behind him a bit, prompting an item stuck in the branches above to shake loose and bang against his head. "Ow...why is this how I always find items?" he groaned to himself as he picked up the object. - This dice is not existing.

| The Murkrow just kept Pecking at Crysel, but it seemed inexperienced. Probably a child. Sure there were a few nips here and there, but Crysel wore the bird down with several False Swipes. Soon it was on the ground, trying to catch its breath. "If you stopped to listen, I'm not here to hunt. I don't hunt anymore. Besides, Sneasels and Weaviles hunt in packs..." Crysel felt a sad twinge as she said that. A bad memory? Something she couldn't remember? In any case, she turned to the Ralts and walked over. "Let's go then." | |

| Akuroma looked over at the panting Murkrow then back at Crysel, "Yeah, alright," he said as he placed the Cheri berry in his bag and began to walk deeper into the forest. He was silent for the most part, but after a while he stopped and turned towards the Sneasel. "You said back there that Sneasel and Weavile hunt in packs, so why'd you leave your's?" he asked, pointing at the Sneasel's exploration badge. He stared at her, his curiosity in her had peaked while the curiosity in the forest was at an all time low. | |

| Crysel sighed at the question. "Just... I don't know. I have trouble remembering anything these days. Little things here and there, but not much. Just knowledge I recall here and there. I don't know why I left, just that it was bad for some reason. Anyway, I don't want to talk about it." Crysel knew how she could probably get her memories back, but it was hard to decide to do so. What if it didn't work? What if she left for dangerous reason? Would it be better if she stayed in the dark? | |

| The Ralts looked at the Sneasel for another second before turning back around and continuing on their journey. "Alright, I won't press you anymore, but I do have one more question. Do you want to remember why you left?" he asked. It wasn't as if he were offering to try and help her regain her memories, his psychic powers couldn't penetrate a dark type either way, but he was curious nonetheless. | |

| "That is personal and I don't want to talk about it." Her tone was cold, harsh. She gave the Ralts a glare that could send a chill through his little spine. Obviously she did not want to keep talking about this and she was Cryticked at his continued attempts to make her do so. She continued in silence, paying attention everywhere but in his direction. | |

| He stayed silent as they continued about. After another while walking down the path he was making, they came upon the falls. He took out a roll of paper and quickly made the map, noting anything that could be used as a marker for explorers. He also marked nearby nests of Pokemon he was able to sense with his horn before rolling the paper back up and placing it back into his bag. "Alright, that's one path done, now I just have two more and we'll be able to leave the forest," he said, already heading back into the forest. | |

| Honestly, Crysel thought it was a bad choice to rely on the nests of pokemon to act as markers. Sure, they are there now. However, bird pokemon frequently changed places they nested generation to generation so that they were close to food and water at the same time. That was wild living basics. However, she would let the Ralts do it however he wanted. It was better to learn through experience than being told. You learned faster by doing anyway. She simply followed him as they headed back. | |

| Akuroma sighed as they were walking back. It wasn't a sigh of exhaustion or trying to relieve any tension he felt. It was simply a sigh of boredom. He had made several maps of the dungeon, but with how lacking in strength he was, he had little choice but to use it as an excuse to keep exploring until he was powerful enough to explore the more dangerous dungeons. Not to mention the Sneasel he thought might be interesting to learn about turned out to be as cold as an Ice type. Well...she was an ice type, but still. | |

| That was just the way Crysel was, before and after losing her memory. She had always been a solitary one a strange trait in her species. Her kind were rarely, if at all, alone going anywhere. They stayed together to keep each other safe. Crysel had however decided to break off. Why? She didn't know. she thought maybe the answer was in her memories. Maybe that was what the bad thing that Scraggy had hinted at. In any case, she kept her distance emotionally. It would be hard to connect to her. Not even her own team was too close. | |

| After going through the forest another time, the two Pokemon were nearing the falls again. As Akuroma walked he sighed a bit.
"Isn't it a bit strange that we've seen no Pokemon or items since we last reached the falls?" he asked the Sneasel. He wasn't really concerned about it, his bag felt heavy enough with all the samples and items he had gathered. Plus no Pokemon attacking them was better than any Pokemon attacking them in his view.

| "No it is not. You've been unconsciously following paths of least resistance, which means pokemon had traveled this path before. That means they would take the items." She lightly scraped her claws together, keeping them sharp. "As for pokemon, they have been watching us off and on. They are afraid after that show with the Murkrow. I showed them how strong I was. They know I could have finished it. They fear I will not hold back next time. At the very least, I am fast enough to mortally wound a stronger opponent. And I didn't even show my most powerful attack. So they are watching from afar, staying out of my way." | |

| Akuroma tilted his head upside down as he walked, looking at the Sneasel, "Oh? That does explain the familiarity of this path, though I hadn't made a map of it yet so it doesn't matter. Are you truly that strong? I know Sneasel know some moves that are powerful, but one as powerful as the one you say is sounds something like Avalanche or Icicle Crash," he said, turning his head back in front of him as they reached the falls.
"Ah, looks like we finally arrived," he said, pulling out the final piece of paper and drawing out the map before placing it back into his bag. He then hefted his bag up and turned towards the Sneasel.
"Well, since you're so capable, I assume I won't need to teleport you out of here. So have a nice time," he said before giving the Sneasel a small wave and disappearing in a bright mint green flash of light.
