To be a Titan, you must face your worst nightmares.

As soon as The ghost had floated up to the guild, Sorren left without a word. They traveled like this in silence. Sorren knew that Chia might have some questions, but he wanted to keep the mission a secret until the last moment.

As they traveled to the icy lands, Sorren smiled, it was snowing, he always loved the snow. As the forrest drew closer he spoke up.

"Alright, now's your chance to ask any questions, not that I'm going to answer some of them, mind you. This is also your last chance to turn back. I'm not going to tell you what we are facing today, so you have to take a risk." Sorren said, his breath visible with every word.

He was hoping to get The Duskull pumped up, work up an air of adventure. He did warn her however, That she would need to take a risk. Today she learns how to face her darkest parts. Sorren hoped he could do the same.

"Well, this is going to be interesting. You did not tell me, who or what it is we would have to find, rescue or battle. As not knowing that would interfere with the mission quite a bit, it is most likely neither of those. I am not seeing an escortee either, so the most common mission types are off of the table. This is going to get interesting."
Curiously the Duskull's single eye peered forth from its skull, hoping to find a change of expression on his face. Maybe one of the words she mentioned would ring a bell, make him show, what this all was about.
"So, where are we headed?"

"Icicle woods, just over there. We will be meeting my client there." Sorren said, a snowflace falling on his beak.

that was good Sorren guessed. Chia Was smart, but not that smart. Hopefully he could keep it a secret from her for a little longer. They crested a hill and through the light snow were able to make out the forest in all it's splendor.

As they got closer to the forest, Chie was dumbfounded for a second. The pictures in the books hadn't been that big.
"Interesting. A forest of Pica Abies, the common pine tree. But this cold is unnatural. Usually these temperatures would only be reached much farther in the north. I can't wait to go do some research on the climatical annomaly here. Also meeting the client means, that this is not an investigative mission."
This place surely was an extraordinary one. But what was it, that they had come here for?
Chie was beginning to run out of possible missions. Maybe there was no mission and Sorren was just testing for how long she would be obeying his orders.

Sorren spotted the Hypno swinging his charm idly in front of a fire. they had made their way into the Forrest and had found a nice clearing. Sorren stepped on a branch and the Hypno sat upright. It turned to face them and Sorren smiled.

"Hello, I'm Sorren of Team Titans, we are here to help." Sorren said, the Hypno got up and walked forward, it stuck out it's had before realizing that Sorren couldn't shake back.

"alright, good you brought another, that makes things easier. Now Let me clear some things up that might not have been on the form. Since there are two of you you will be taking turns. Normally I would be the anchor, but I'm going to let your partner do that job on your turn and then you on theirs. Remember as long as the anchor keeps a level head, you can work this out by yourself, I'm just here to facilitate that." It said.

"Right, I'll go first then. Chia, Any questions?" Sorren asked.

"Uh, yes. What in the world has an anchor to do with this mission, whatever it may be? Wait...you do not mean...are you sure about this? I do not want to appear rude, but I don't think you would be...suited for this kind of thing if it is, what I am expecting."
Once more Chie had been thoroughly surprised. While most Pokémon probably would not understand, what was being talked about here, Chie had read a bit about Hypnosis already, it being a typical move for Ghost types after all. And with the client of this mission seemingly being a Hypno, there was no doubt, that this interpretation of the word was, what they were referring to.
Hopefully Sorren would be able to handle this...

"Wow you catch on fast. Don't worry, I'll be fine. My whole life has been spent dealing with my own fears." Sorren said, smiling.

"Don't be too sure about that." Hypno said.

The Hypno got out two bedrolls and laid them out. He then gestured towards them. Sorren laid down on one. He watched the clouldy sky as snow gently fell. He was ready. As long as Chia could keep a level head there would be no problems.

"Well, if you're sure about this, then I will not try to stop you...", the Duskull spoke as she floated onto the other bedroll. As pieces of white dancingly descended in the soft, chilly breeze, the light inside the Ghost type's skull slowly faded away.
This was the experience of both their lives and Chie knew it.
Would it be horriffic, terrific, both or something inbetween?
She did not know and probably Sorren did not either.
But they were going to experience it right here, right now.
There was no going back home anymore...

I Walked through the forest, It had been a long day. Shara and I had played untill the sky grew orange. I was hoping to see my Mom. Today she was going to read to me more about Titans. The subject was oddly exciting to me. I don't know why.

First i smell it. I don't panic, my mom's burned more than a few trees before. Then I see it. The massive pillar of smoke in the sky. I start to panic. I run home at lightning speed, I would have impressed Shara.

There I see her. Feathers tainted with blood, white dress ripped apart. My mother, Pinned down under a burning tree. I hear her call out for help. Black shapes all around me.

No, Sorren could do this now. He had strength, He could FIGHT!

I turn around NO! Sorren can fight now, He knew he could, just let him have control! I run. I run and run as fast as i can ,BUT YOU CANNOT ESCAPE. THE SHADOWS COME FOR YOU, YOU ARE TOO AFRAID, YOUR SIMPLE FEAR PARALYZES YOU, MAKING YOU HELPLESS.

YOUR MOTHER CALLS OUT FOR HELP. SHE KEEPS ASKING WHY YOU WON'T FIGHT, WHY YOU DIDN'T LEARN HOW TO FIGHT FROM HER. THIS COULD HAVE ALL BEEN AVOIDED IF YOU DID AS YOUR  PARENTS WISHED. BUT YOU HAD TO BE A COWARD! YOU HAD TO TRY TO RUN! YOU ARE GOING TO DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH BECAUSE OF YOUR COWARDICE! That wasn't true! Sorren Knew his parents respected his wished, they never wanted to force their ideal idea of a son onto him. But, he could have manned up, he could have tried. It was all his fault things went this way.

In the shadows, unknown to me, there is a Duskull. She watches, her expression unreadable. She knows what had happened, she's been watching.

If it had been possible for the Duskull, she would have just been floating in place, a blank stare of horror on her face and her jaw on the floor.
She had heard of Sorren's mother and what happened, but it was an entirely different thing to experience it in mental person!
Of course Chie had seen many deaths in her long, long lifetime, but to be confronted with one this suddenly, unexpectedly and brutally still was a heartbreaking experience for her.
While she probably would never be able to fully grasp the pain Sorren was experiencing, she surely learned a lot about the heavy weight he was carrying.
Would her visions be equally horrifying? Even more so? The Duskull did not know, but she couldn't just let the Torchic alone with this.
Hopefully he would be able to face his fears...

YOU GASP AS YOU ARE KICKED ASIDE. A BLADE IS BRANDISHED BY A LARGE SHADOW, A GRIN ON HIS FACE, ABOUT TO DO ARCEUS' WORK AND GET RID OF YOUR PITIFUL EXISTENCESure, It had been sorren's fault. However, what had happened happened. His life meant something now. he could save others. Maybe he had to save himself first.

I get up, The fear means nothing to me, not compared to all the suffering I had gone through. NO! I melt the stupid peice of metal with my ember. The shadows lose their smiles for a second, but then regain them, more evil then ever before. I look around confused, but then i see her. Shara. Her face was twisted with anger.

"I left you. I left you behind. You weren't even able to protect your family"No, shara, It wasn't like that! Sorren tried to say, but he found he couldn't.

"I tried to fix you, make you work. You couldn't stop being a blubbering baby though, could you? All I ever wanted was for you to be useable. Now you just take up space. Goodbye, Sorren."

YOU WATCH AS THE SMALL PIDGEY MAKES BLADES OF THE AIR AND HURLS THEM TOWARDS YOU. YOUR AFFECTION FOR THIS CREATURE MEANS YOU DON'T EVEN TRY TO DODGE. TEARS RUN DOWN YOUR FACE AS YOU ARE LOST IN DESPAIR. HOW EVER COULD YOU FIGHT A FRIEND?

What was happening?
Chie did not understand anymore.
Who was this Pidgey? What did it have to do with Sorren?
No, it was of no use trying to figure that out now.
But Sorren...the poor Pokémon...he was so sad, so innocent.
Why did things like these happen?
He would be strong enough...or would he?
Silently she watched from the shadows...

"I promise sorren, next time I'll be faster. I can make it in time, i can be there for you. I have to go now, I'm so sorry, but let's promise. next time we meet I'll be the fasted pokemon there ever was"

"And I'll be the strongest"

That was how it was soposed to go. that was the promise they had made on that day. not this.

YOU CRY, UNABLE TO MOVE, UNABLE TO ACT. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO.

"Maybe there isn't anything i can do. Maybe I can't fight a friend. But there is one thing I have learned since coming to Grassveil. Sometimes I don't have to do anything. Sometimes friends can cover for me. There is nothing, NOTHING that i have to do by myself!" I said. I remembered now. I was in my own head. That didn't make things any easier for me. but I knew one thing, there was someone else here. "CHIA! I need your help!"

Trying to follow the scene, Chie almost got lost in the dancing chaos of the shadows cruelly grinning down on Sorren. The hasty madness was pulling her own mind into a dream-like state until a sharp sound pierced the eerie mood and shook her awake.
"CHIA! I need your help!"
Immediately the Duskull jolted awake, scolding herself for not paying attention.
She had to do something and that quickly.
Slowly she floated towards the Pidgey, arms stretched wide from her body almost as if to hug the Flying type. The Pidgey itself, obviously surprised, did not know, what to do as the small shade crept closer.
That was, until Chie had come close enough.
Standing right in front of it, she used Feint Attack, punching it straight in the gut.

As soon as Chia had Punched Shara, all hell broke loose, the shadows pounced, swirling and screaming. everything was on fire. Chaos reigned, but sorren had control of his actions. This time it would be different.

Two shadows tried to constrict him. Sorren spun around, using ember. This was his firestorm attack. The shadows realed back. Sorren took shots at them with ember, scratched any that came up close and eventualy fought his way towards Chia.

"This might sound incredibly cheesy, but My friends are my strength. I can do amazing things when there is someone around who i care about, and who cares about me. Shara, you taught me that. It took me a while to figure it out though. I don't blame you for leaving. We said our goodbyes. I had a long tough path ahead, but that only helped sculpt me into who i am today. Mom, I could have done differently. I could have saved you if i had learned to fight, but you wouldn't want to see me force myself. I know you would have made the same choices, the same mistakes, a thousand times over. You loved me that much. I made my peace with this long ago, It's time I end this!" Sorren yelled. As he addressed shara she began to fade until she was gone, the same happened for his mother. With tears in his eyes, sorren turned away and faced the shadows.

There was doubt left in his mind, and it clawed at him. This is the shape it had taken. This was his sadness and his fear. He could win this fight. "I know mind over matter stuff might work, but can you tell me what attacks you know?" Sorren asked Chia.
