The Day of Rising Empty
PostSubject: The Day of Rising   The Day of Rising EmptyTue Jun 18, 2013 12:36 am

Flying slowly across the grey, cloud-tainted sky, Chie focused her line of vision to the guild slowly appearing. She flew closer to it, and as she did, a slight rain began falling. She hurried inside.
Avoiding as much eye-contact as possible, Chie maneuvered herself through the groups of Pokemon surrounding Bulletin Boards. She soon arrived in front of a large door. A sign on it read "Guildmaster's Quarters". Chie slowly knocked, trying to avoid fading through the door. Boy, would that be embarrassing- bursting in on something you shouldn't.
Awaiting the response from someone behind the wooden door, Chie contemplated how she would get her point across without speaking much.

An Archeops opened the door, taking a moment to look the Duskull up and down before welcoming her into her quarters.
"Hello," she blinked, beady eyes watching the Duskull's every move, "Can I help you?"

"I'd like to join the Guild," Chie spoke in monotone. She hadn't remembered the last time she talked to someone. This was about as much as she'd like to say. She was sure that she'd come forward as rude if she said any more.

The Archeops' stern gaze watched the Duskull for another few tense moments after she spoke before her expression softened and her features broke out into a small smile.
"My name is Aileana," she began, "What is yours?"

((OOC: It's fine. I'd rather shorter posts and a quicker signup so that you can get RPing, than longer posts and a signup that lasts for two weeks xD))

"Chie. My name is Chie." Chie's single red eye shifted between the two holes in her bone mask. Her breathing was paced slowly, normal in her case.

Aileana nodded, walking over to a shelf on the other side of the room and picking a book off one of the shelves. She dusted it off, not that the book itself was very dusty, and took out a quill from the desk nearby.
"If you are to join the Guild, you need a name for yourself. A team name of sorts, just in case you ever decide to add new members to your team," blinked Aileana, still studying the Duskull with her beady black eyes as she noted down Chie's name and species.

Chie examined the book that Aileana pulled from the shelf. It was quite thick and looked interesting. But seeing the fact that she wrote in it, it wasn't a reading book. It was a log book of sorts. "Fate. Team Fate." Chie said. She was set out help people who have suffered horrible fates. So why shouldn't she name her team after the thing she wanted to change?

Aileana nodded, writing the name neatly into the book of records. Finishing what she needed to write, she wandered over to a nearby cupboard. Opening it, she picked out an exploration bag, selecting a map and an exploration badge to go with it. Bringing all three over to the Duskull she gave her them on at a time.
"This is your explorer bag. You can keep up to 15 items in it at once. When you're not in a dungeon, you can store any spare items in the cupboards in your Guild room - which I will assign to you shortly. Rookies are awarded larger treasure bags as they grow stronger and rise through the ranks."

Pausing, she waited for the information to sink in before she moved on to explaining the other two items.

Not wanting to speak due to the lack of things to say, Chie just nodded, implying that she understood. The items that were handed to her, a map and a bag, didn't look interesting, but Chie kept a 'Cool!' face on and kept going. She 'happily' accepted the two items.

"The map is pretty obvious. The locations of various dungeons that you may be required to explore are marked on here, and if you're not sure where you are you can use this map to help you. As for the last item, " she paused, handing the shiny new explorer badge to Chie, "This is your explorer badge. It proves that you are a member of a registered Guild and are authorized to take jobs from Guild bulletin boards. It is our main form of identification, so do not lose it."
The Archeops paused again, giving enough time for the Duskull to ask any questions she had.

"..." Chie continued nodding. She was absorbing the info well. She understood it all. "Thank you."

Aileana nodded, "You are welcome. Now if you'll follow me, i'll assign you a room."
Putting the records book back on it's shelf, the Archeops proceeded to lead Chie out of the Guildmaster's Quarters and down the corridor to where the guild member rooms could be found.
She wandered down the halls until she found a free room, pushing open the door and motioning for the Duskull to go inside.

Chie floated into the room, turning around and examining the interior. There was another bed. "Do I have a roommate?" she asked, this time genuinely curious. She wasn't the best person to be a roommate with. She also wanted to know if she could bring in her large supply of books, but that question could wait.

"Not at the moment, the second bed is there for if you wish to add an extra member to your exploration team. After all, jobs are easier to do when more than one Pokemon support each other," smiled Aileana.
"Make yourself comfortable though, you don't have to have a second team member if you'd wish to stay solo, the bed is just there so the option is open."

"Fine, fine." Okay. So she could bring her books.
She pondered finding a partner. She usually preferred to fly solo but with the way the world has changed since she was young, it would be better to have someone to lean on in tough times. "Thanks."
