Easy as Pecha Pie

Acro looked at the mission and sighed at the amount of berries they needed. This was going to be a long mission wasn't it? He had Astrid the dratini beside him, yapping his head off as usual.
"You know i've been thinking, since Willy changed his name to Willy from William...I'm going to change my name! From now on call me Aster! It sounds more mystical and space like. What do you think?" the blue serpentine creature asked.
"Whatever Astrid let's just get this mission over with. I think we were assigned to work with someone. We'll wait here for them" Acro suggested as he perched on a rock he had climbed.
"It's AstER now, remember that please! Anyways who's the new person? Do are they nice?" he gasped, "IS IT WILLY!? PLEASE LET IT BE WILLY!!!" Acro sighed at the Dratini's eagerness, he still wasn't quite used to the dratini just yet.

The pidgey stopped flying around, as if to show the absol that is was in complete control. It regretted the decision as Acro jumped down from the tree with an iron tail slamming down on it's back. The pokemon dropped the dratini and it's body made a hole in the ground from the force. It stayed in the ground, knocked out. Acro gave a huff and turned to see if Aster was alright, only to see a pidove darting towards him. He was struck with a tackle attack and attempted to slap the pidove away from him with Iron Tail.

As Acro hit the Pidgey from above, Tsukishiro watched from below, ready to catch the Dratini as soon as the Pidgey let go. It did so rather suddenly, Shiro only just getting out of the way of the bird's fall after catching Aster. Sitting down for a short rest, the Dratini's worm-like body slid from her back and landed on the ground.
"You okay?" asked Shiro, catching her breath.

"I'm fine! Did you see me flying!? I grew wings and-" Astrid saw the KO'd birds around them, "I got picked up by one of them didn't I?" he asked flatly and slightly annoyed that the amazing event he thought had happened was not true but just a mistake.

Acro used a final Iron Tail and KO'd the Pidove that was left over. He approached Aster and Shiro after giving the pidove a look to check if it was really down for the count and spoke, "is Aster okay?" he asked, concerned for his team member.

"I'm afraid not, Aster," frowned Shiro, unsure of what to say to the Dratini to cheer him up. Soon though, Acro defeated the third and final bird of the group and approached her and Astrid.
"He looks fine, if a bit disappointed that the wings weren't his," smiled Shiro half-heartedly. She blinked however, noticing a two berries on the ground a short distance away.
"Hold on..." she blinked, wandering over. Grinning, she picked up both the Oran Berry and the Pecha berry, handing them to Acro.

"Looks fine to me.."Acro said as he saw Aster slither off happily humming a tune as he sniffed about. "That kid's confusing sometimes..." Acro shook his head. Sometimes Aster was easy to understand, but the mood on Aster changed as fast as his mother could run.

Aster had been slithering about for a few moments before finding something. He grabbed the item, assuming it was a pecha berry, and noticed another item he had missed earlier some how and grabbed that one too. To his surprise there was another next to it right above some leaves. He went over to grab the item, and was surprised as a net flew up from the ground and cacooned around him. He dropped the items and heard an annoyed snort. He looked to see:

"I can see," replied Tsukishiro, watching as the now seemingly happy Dratini slithered off, collecting various items and a few rocks as he did so. One of the items he did pick up was a Watamel Berry, not that any of the three really needed it, unless they got hungry.

Shiro was surprised however, as a trap sprung up, catching the Dratini and making him drop all the items he had collected. It appeared that a Patrat had set the trap, as it wandered over and reclaimed the Watamel Berry that Aster had dropped.

The patrat held an oran berry in it's other paw, looking between them to see which to keep and which to toss. It didn't seem to know much about berries considering it tossed the oran and kept the Watmel. Astrid meanwhile was trying to struggle free but the holes in the net seemed to small for her to slither through, "Help!" he cried.

Acro was unsure of what to do, should he attack the patrat or go for the rope? Was the patrat hostile or just trying to get lunch? He decided to wait a moment to see, it's not like Astrid was going to die if he stayed in the net for a few more moments, right?

"Hey you, Patrat!" called the Absol, "You just want some lunch? Let our friend down. He won't harm you or take your food."
Tsukishiro called out to the Patrat, taking the bolder approach and hoping that the scout Pokemon did just want something to eat. As long as it didn't take the Pecha Berries they were looking for, she couldn't care less. Heck she'd give the Patrat their spare berries as long as it didn't attack them.

The patrat watched them with a bored look as it took a bite of the watmel berry. It turned into the woods and seemed to speak to something and nod it's head at the two as if pointing them out to someone and turned around and spoke, "Give us all your berries in exchange for the dratini, ALL of them."

Astrid watched from above, nervous but not quite understanding what was going on. He wriggled in the trap once more, unable to free himself but managed to shake the tree and have an item fall from the branch and onto the ground between the pokemon.

Acro swallowed, the patrat must have smelled their four Pecha berries they had. Should they hand over ALL of the berries?

"No deal!" called Tsukishiro, before promptly releasing a powerful Dark Pulse from her parted jaws. The Absol focused the move's damage upon the main Pokemon of the group as another Patrat and a Rattata appeared. The leader Patrat reeled backward, having not expected such a sudden attack from the more honorable explorers. Glaring at Shiro, the lead Patrat signaled for the second Patrat and the accompanying Rattata to target Acro, whilst he moved intently towards the Absol.

Acro had been about to use rock slide on the two pokemon, but instead the rocks around him began to become enveloped in different auras. Acro felt a power surge through him as the rocks were tossed at the pokemon, hitting them head on. The archen felt more powerful after that attack, he wondered what kind of attack that was. What he didn't know was he had used Ancient Power, and that power had given him a slight boost in all of his defenses, attacks, and speed. He go a screech as he darted towards the pokemon, only to be intercepted by a wall of flame.

Aster struggled in the net for a few moments, before remembering that he had a fire attack that could burn the ropes easily. His nose grew red as flames appeared just on the outside of the net and burned a hole big enough for him to slip through. As the flames grew bigger, he sent it at the pokemon that were attacking Acro and caught the rattata in it while the patrat dodged it. Aster crawled his way up the net and found an item up there, he grabbed it, in case it might come in handy, and made his eay down to join the fray.

Acro wasn't sure whether to be glad or worried that the dratini had joined the fight. He didn't have time to debate over it though. He was attacked by the rattata with a tackle attack, which in turn got hit with an iron tail from Acro and a water pulse from Aster. The rattata was flung to the other side of the clearing, KO'd. Just two patrats left.

Aster slithered over to one of the patrats and "hugged" it. Except this time meaning to use wrap, the dratini wasn't happy with the patrat for trapping him like that without apologizing. He coiled around it tighter and tighter like a snake to a rat.

Tsukishiro watched as the Dratini wrapped around the Patrat she had knocked to the ground with her attack. She blinked, the Patrat scratching at Aster's scales in an attempt to free itself.
"I-I'm sorry!" it called, "Have your berries just lemme go!"

Shiro glanced back at the remaining Patrat. It just stood and stared at the leader, not willing to fight now that the stronger one had admitted defeat.

Aster had to be pried off by an annoyed Archen. He dragged the dratini near the absol to see that Aster had picked up a Pecha berry on the way. Acro sighed, but was thankful that they were almost half way done with the job now. He watched as the patrats fled from the terrible trio. The prehistoric bird huffed, "Well that was unpleasant. At least we have half of our berries now!" he said trying to be optimistic.

Aster coiled into a tight roll again and spoke, "They're a bunch of big meany heads!" He puffed his cheeks out with anger and slithered off in a random direction, hoping his friends would follow. Acro did of course but only half way, for he had found another item!
