Item Hunt Attempt Two!

Tsukishiro wandered into the bright and cheerful forest on what one might describe to be a beautiful morning. The Absol had failed in her mission the previous day, but instead of giving them up she had opted to give them a second try. After all, if she failed to find a few items for the clients, then what would she be like on a real exploration through undisturbed terrains?

Sitting down, Shiro dug the slips of paper out of her explorer's bag in order to double check what she had to do;

My friend, Seel, says that the Sticks in Pecha Forest are harder than my horn! So we've made a bet to see if they really are harder. Sadly neither of us can reach Pecha Forest for obvious reasons. Four Sticks and a Watamel Berry. How hard could it be right? Well... at least that's what she had thought last time.

Upon the arrival of the two flying pokemon, Nate jumped out of the way rather ungracefully, having been caught by surprise and wanting to avoid the attack. Once he hit the ground, he got back up and turned to the two wild pokemon, deciding to send a Thunder Shock at the Pidgey, though he had rushed it a bit and wasn't sure if it had hit or missed the wild pokemon.

Also leaping out of the way rather ungracefully, Tsukishiro got to her feet a few moments later. Nate and William seemed to be attacking the Pidgey, and the Tranquill's undivided attention was now upon her. In an attempt to get in a quick first hit, the Absol used Quick Attack, dashing across the forest floor and leaping up at the Tranquill. Tranquill however, countered with it's own Quick Attack, meeting Shiro half way.

While the Absol and the Tranquill were battling, William and the Pikachu had focussed on the Pidgey.
After the Gastly had managed to land a hit on it with his normal attack, he was knocked back by an accidental hit of Nate's Thunder Shock, making him unable to see, whether the Electric attack hit its intended target. William tried to move forward and attack the unsuspecting Tranquill...but couldn't. His body refused to react to any commands, moionlessly floating in midair. Apparently he had been paralyzed.

Noticing that he had accidentally hit William, Nate winced as he brought his attention back to the Pidgey.
"Sorry about that." He apologized, all the while charging up another Thunder Shock and sending it at the Pidgey once again, having full confidence in Shiro and William to take out the Tranquil they were dealing with. Well, at least Shiro. Apparently he had made things a bit harder on William with his missed attack from before.

With William now paralyzed, Shiro wanted to defeat this Tranquill as soon as possible. Deciding to use the only move that matched her natural typing, she moved backwards a few steps before parting her jaws and using a powerful Dark Pulse. The black beam was edged with singes of red and purple, and headed straight for the Tranquill. It flapped it's wings, recovering after the equally powered Quick Attacks. It attempted to dodge upwards into the air, but it couldn't clear the ground in time and was hit by Dark Pulse.

While a variety of attacks were flying around, William had to think.
The Tranquill was too far away to use Lick or Hypnosis, the Quick Attack wouldn't be worth the attempt to use Spite on, Smog would endanger the others while probably dispersing before it reached its target and William wouldn't be able to catch up to the Flying type due to his paralysis, so a normal attack would not be applicable as well.
Since there was nothing he could do, William decided on an ambush, hiding in the ground.

The Pidgey took the brunt of this hit, and still managed to stay up, except certainly angry now. It began to flap its wings, creating a gust attack that pushed Nate into one of the surrounding trees. From his new position, the electric type found himself having an idea and grabbed onto one of the lower branches of the tree, pulling himself up and continuing to climb until he reached a branch on the level of the flying type. Okay please let this work, I'd rather not go splat here. Nate thought to himself as he jumped off the branch towards the Pidgey, punching it towards the ground with a Thunder Punch before falling onto the ground himself, performing a slight roll to get back on his paws and try and take away some of the damage, but still taking a bit from the fall.

Shiro noticed William hiding and wondered if she could drive the Tranquill closer in an attempt to get in more than one hit quickly, and then hopefully defeat it.
The Absol used Feint, seemingly attacking the bird, but just missing. The Tranquill retaliated with a Quick Attack, which Shiro countered with her own, dashing towards William's hiding place, the Tranquill chasing after her. After drawing close enough, Shiro used her powerful legs to leap over William's hiding place, calling out to the Gastly, "Now William!"

As William heard Shiro shout, he jumped out of the floor, luckily directly facing the Tranquill, which now probably was traumatized for life.
As it was in range now, William's Smog attack came to use.
As the area around the two was being enveloped in noxious fumes, vision was severely impaired, so William decided for another surprise attack. Moving behind the Tranquill, he readied Hypnosis to put the probably fleeing Flying type to sleep.
His glowing eyes made the entire cloud of gas the two of them were in shine in an eerie red light.

The Pidgey appeared to hit the ground with just as much, if not more force then Nate had, and that with the combined force of his previous Thunder Shock and his Thunder Punch seemed to do the trick for it as it appeared to be unconscious. With a smirk Nate turned and looked over at Shiro and William to see how they were doing, noting that they seemed to have it under control but not wanting to attack the other pokemon, since he couldn't see who he would be hitting in the Smog and could hit William.

After being dealt damage by William's Smog, the Tranquill was then put to sleep by Hypnosis and landed rather unceremoniously on the ground in a flurry of loose feathers. It was sound asleep and soft snores could be heard through the smog.
Hearing the snores, Shiro let out a breath she didn't realise she'd been holding and glanced over to see how Nate was doing. Grinning when she realised that he too had defeated his opponent, she spoke, "So, i'm assuming we should move on before these two wake up..."

"Might be a relatively good idea...as far as I can remember, the edge of the forest shouldn't be too far away anymore either. But really...what has made all these Pokémon so aggressive? It can't be the area. I've been living here for ages and as far as it is known to me, I haven't tried to kill anyone without reason yet. But actually...who knows? I could be hallucinating. Or maybe all of this is a dream. But how would one find out? Eh...no time for that now...let's go."

Nate nodded his head in agreement with the two, looking at the two pokemon they had just fought, and knowing that they would probably wake up sometime soon.
"You know, I don't really know what's up with that either. I mean I've seen pokemon attack because they panic, but all these pokemon acting completely feral recently is beyond me." He added, starting to think about the topic more. Of course it's possible that they were already that aggressive, just containing it before or hiding it. He thought to himself.

"I've heard that it has something to do with all the new mystery dungeons cropping up at the moment, though I guess no one knows the definite cause..." blinked Shiro, walking in silence for another few moments. She opened her jaws to say something else, but decided against it shortly after. It was another few moments before she spoke again.
"You know, we worked pretty well as a team back there..." she smiled.

"Oh...really? Let's see...so far Sparky has shocked me, I have made him vomit, his puns made me want to rip off my ears if I had any...yes, we make a really great team..."
William didn't understand it. Those two Pokémon have more than once proven to be incapable of being remotely tolerable and couldn't even find sticks in a forest...and yet...William had this strange feeling...a feeling he thought he had lost and forgtten long ago. A feeling he wished he had lost and forgotten long ago.
Despite all their flaws, errors and mistakes, disregarding all logic William somehow wanted them to be...happy.
