Item Hunt Attempt Two!

Tsukishiro wandered into the bright and cheerful forest on what one might describe to be a beautiful morning. The Absol had failed in her mission the previous day, but instead of giving them up she had opted to give them a second try. After all, if she failed to find a few items for the clients, then what would she be like on a real exploration through undisturbed terrains?

Sitting down, Shiro dug the slips of paper out of her explorer's bag in order to double check what she had to do;

My friend, Seel, says that the Sticks in Pecha Forest are harder than my horn! So we've made a bet to see if they really are harder. Sadly neither of us can reach Pecha Forest for obvious reasons. Four Sticks and a Watamel Berry. How hard could it be right? Well... at least that's what she had thought last time.

Nate nodded his head in agreement with Shiro. He hadn't thought that taking sticks from the bush would be a good idea, because if they could be broken off they obviously weren't as strong as her client would want to test.
"Right, I'm sure we'll eventually be able to find some sticks just lying around..." He had started to say, but began to trail off as he heard a new set of noises. After looking around a little bit, he finally noticed the cloaked figure between a few of the trees, a bit unsure of what he was seeing.
"Hey, do you see that too? Or am I just crazy or something." Nate asked his current partner, slightly unnerved by the figure.

Tsukishiro blinked and looked into the bushes, "No... I saw that too."
Getting to her feet, the Absol slowly moved through the undergrowth. She was being cautious as she didn't know exactly what it was she was about to discover.
"..Hello?" she asked, slightly unnerved by the mumbling she could hear. Realising by the fact that mumbling was present, she deduced that it must in fact be another Pokemon in the woods.
"Is everything alright?" she asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

Hearing another Pokémon speak, the figure turned around, apparently surprised although it still didn't raise it's head. However, two gleaming fangs could be seen under that hood.
Then, the figure began to speak:
"You shouldn't talk to me...no one should...why don't you just run away? Just leave me alone..."
A small breeze that came up, revealed that the figure wasn't standing at all. There was absolutely nothing touching the ground there. Yet, the darkness inside the cloak was impenetrable, making it impossible to see anything else about the being.
Hanging its head low, the figure then turned away again, slowly continuing to walk through the forest.

"Oh right, go towards the creepy random Pokemon in a woods full of hostile Pokemon, because why not?" Nate mumbled to himself as he followed behind Shiro to the cloaked figure. It was speaking to them, and not attacking, so he assumed that it was a regular Pokemon.
"Why should we run away?" He asked the figure, wondering if it was just because it wanted to be alone or if something was wrong with it. Either way, he was starting to think that leaving it alone could be a good idea.

Shiro narrowed her eyes at the sight of the two fangs, her mind whirling with the possibilities of what species of Pokemon was standing before her. Or rather, floating before her as she realised when it turned around.
"I don't see why we shouldn't talk to you. No one deserves to be alone," blinked Shiro, stepping forward a few paces as the creepy being moved away. Tsukishiro didn't particularly want to intrude, but she was curious all the same. The pokemon seemed almost... sad.

"Everypony runs away from me sooner or later. Just save yourselves the time you would have spent talking to me and leave already. Leave before they all run away from you too. I do deserve being left alone. Everypony agreed on that ages ago. And yes, I tried to change it, but instead I found my beliefs confirmed. This world is impervious to change, doesn't allow change. I can't change. Noone can."

"Well we're talking to you right now, aren't we? And I think we've established that we're not really planning on running away. I'd say that sounds like a change from what you've said." Nate commented, trying to say something to try and change the cloaked figure's mind. He also took a few steps closer, starting to form a smile at the figure now. He's wrong, things can change. Right?

Tsukishiro seemed undeterred, stepping forward a few more paces, a warm smile on her face.
"How about if I promise not to run away and leave you," she smiled, "I'll be the chief of change if that's what it takes."
Moving closer so that she was now stood next to the hooded Pokemon, she introduced herself.
"I'm Tsukishiro, Guild Rookie and leader of Team Yozora. I don't break my promises."

Upon hearing the Absol's words, the hooded figure turned around, making it clear that it was a Gastly.
Sighing, it spoke:
"You remind me of someone...two someones actually. They promised the same things...but when it came to form the team, they ran away too. Why should you be any different? Promises are just empty, meaningless words, meant to trick one into a false sense of security. My name is William by the way, not that it would matter. There is no room in society for a being like me..."

Nate relaxed a bit, seeing that it was just a Gastly. Some others may have found that to be more unsettling, but in his view knowing was better then not knowing who it was.
"Well, a bit of advice, when there's no room for you you make some room. Don't let society tell you what to do." He said to the ghost Pokemon, before starting to think to himself. We remind him of two others? I wonder who they are. Probably personality wise, I haven't seen another pikachu nearby.

"There's plenty of room in society, you just have to find the right room," grinned Tsukishiro, though no one really understood what she had just said, "So anyhow, William. Why don't you come with us. We're doing a job for the guild right now and I figure you're interested in that sort of stuff considering you tried to sign up in a team. We'll prove to you that you can be a part of society, you just need to trust us."

"Urgh...you actually thought I hadn't tried that? I have been chased out. Those Pokémon were actively attacking me. And if you still think society would be fair, I have been living in this forest for several years after that, but when I returned, nothing had changed. I tried to sign up for the guild twice, but when we were standing before Faye, they both ran away, screaming at that. Both had said before, that they weren't afraid of me and wouldn't run away. And you honestly still think I could be a member of society?"
The Gastly shook his head, sighing before continuing:
"Fine, I'll help you with your job, if only for you to leave me alone after that."

"Huh. That's, well, unfortunate. But everybody can't be like that. There's going to be someone, probably more then one, who is either like you or will stay with you." Nate continued to say, and realized that standing there and talking probably wouldn't do much, but proving it through actions would.
"Right, well the mission. Shiro, you have the papers right?" He asked the absol, figuring they should show William their missions they were working on.

Tsukishiro nodded, "Yup. I'll get them for you."
The Absol sat down and slipped the bag off her person. Using her nose, she sifted through it's contents until she found what she was looking for, the two rolled up slips of paper that had the missions she had accepted printed on them.
Using her teeth, Shiro gently took the papers out of the bag and handed them to Nate. With the front paws that she and William lacked, it was easier for him to hold them.

"Sticks and a berry...and you actually need help with that? Are you sure, you are really a rescue team?
I mean, this is a forest. How hard can it be to find sticks in a forest? The berry might be a bit more difficult, but they aren't rare. There are sticks on that bush, on that tree, on that other tree and on all the other trees as well! So why don't you just take those?"
William hoped from the bottom of his heart, that they had a good reason for that behaviour. Obviously no Pokémon could be that shortsighted.
