A little lost...(open)

Cimche was hoping he was taking the right direction he was told to go, but from what it looked like it seemed he had took the wrong route. He looked around in the clearing he stopped at and all that he saw was a spoiled bitten in pecha berry. looking at it for a second he declared the spoiled fruit as a placeholder and moved along. He continued to walk unaware of which way he was going, and when seemed that he had made some progress he was bought back where he started in the clearing. Soon enough he began guessing taking ways off the path, and after minutes of walking was lead back to the familiar clearing, the rotten fruit seeming like a reminder of how lost he was.

"Hate getting lost." He said as he tipped over the fruit with a kick.

Tired and feeling a slight headache he sat down next to the berry, looking up to the sky through the tree foliage. He wondered if he should try climbing a tree to get a vantage point, but was bought out of that thought as he heard crunching followed by the sounds of ruffling leaves behind him. Quickly getting up he readied himself as he waited for who or what might emerge from the foliage.

Opal just so happened to be in the area at that moment and was having herself a feast of Pecha berries. It had been a long time since she'd tasted fresh fruit, and it was so good! Rawst berries would have been better, but these Pechas were still quite yummy. And there were so many of them! She could very easily see how this forest had obtained its name. How popular was it, the little dog wondered? Such a bounty must draw a lot of attention. It was surprising to her that she had yet to meet anyone or end up in a quarrel over food.

The Growlithe was surprised again as she heard someone passing and looked up to see what might have been a set of ears disappearing from view. Because of the abundant vegetation, she couldn't see anything more of the mystery pokemon. With nothing else to that brief event, Opal returned her attention to the fresh berries that lay before her.

Another disturbance would come some time after, also in the vein of a passerby making noise. That was strange... it sounded the same as before. Another look confirmed that it was the same as before! The same species of pokemon, anyway. She heard it bemoan getting lost. That didn't sound good. The fire type made her way through the grass between her and the... she didn't know what this creature was. It had evidently noticed her. The two stared awkwardly as one waited for the other to react.

Cimche jumped a little when the Growlithe revealed itself, even thought he was expecting something to reveal itself it still startled him. He took a step back by instinct but bumped into the rotten fruit causing him to move forward. When they made eye contact he kind of just stood there, unaware of how to start the conversation if there may be one. For a second he contemplated starting with a joke, but didn't have the time to think of one as he began to talk.

"Umm... Hello there." he said, nervous smile on his face.

standing there his ears started to droop a little, he didn't really know what else to say at that point.

The Growlithe's head tilted to the side as she watched the other pokemon stumble back and forth. His movements were clumsy and nonthreatening. She was pretty sure she could take this stranger in a fight if she had to. Thankfully, that was turning out not to be the case. Opal was a pokemon with the outlook that friendship was better than fighting.

"Hello!" came the happy return greeting. This joy at meeting a potential new friend quickly turned into concern. They were not happy, and that made her not happy.

"Hey, are you okay? You look a little down."

Cimche became a little less nervous as the Growlithe greeted in return, telling him immediately that she was not a threat. His smile widened as he took a step forward in a dancing motion.

"Oh, your kind! Thank you for not being a danger." he said giving a wobbly bow, his ears touching the ground.

Looking back up he tottered his way closer to the Growlithe, looking like he was about to trip consecutive times. stopping in front of her he held an arm out.

"Hello, my name is Cimche, what's yours?"

Cimche's movements struck Opal as rather odd. No pokemon she'd met moved like that. so she could not have realised it was normal for his species.

"You're welcome. Erm... Are you well? You're staggering around an awful lot..."

Her ears pricked up as it looked like the Spinda was about to fall over. She was ready to rush over and try to help, but he always kept his footing. How strange for someone who looked so intoxicated. Opal didn't share her thoughts out loud, but secretly wondered about the cause of this behaviour. Had he eaten too many fermented berries, maybe?

Cimche thought about the way he moved for a minute. He didn't find it that odd that he moved the way he did, it felt quite natural for him. Bringing his other arm up he did a little twirl, ending with a head bang.

"I feel quite fine, only a little worried but still alright."

He tottered to her left and right in quick recession, looking at her with his spiraling eyes. He hopes that he wouldn't scare her away with his disorienting movements, he still wondered who this new strangers name was, but was ok with waiting. For a time he forgot that he was lost, but looking around the forest reminded him of the predicament he was in, making his jump in mock surprise.

"Oh, umm... I'm quite lost in this forest here, do you perhaps know of where a town by the name of Grassviel is?"

The Growlithe wasn't quite convinced, but the other pokemon didn't seem too bad. At least he was still capable of functioning, albeit in an odd manner. She would try to help him while keeping a slight distance in case he did fall over.

"Grassveil? Yeah, I came here from there."

It was quite surprising to her that the Spinda had managed to lose his way so easily. Then again, her nose would put her back on course if she ever got lost, and not everyone shared her amazing gift of tracking. A question was quickly remembered and answered.

"My name's Opal, by the way."

Cimche thought Opal had a 'bright' name, him chucking at the thought of his pun. He smiled brightly at Opal as he informed him that she knew of the town he spoke of, he leaned a little to close to Opal In excitement, as thought he was trying to pry the secrets of where the town was.

"Would you be able to take me there? I'm afraid if I get told directions again I would get lost, again."

Looking around the forest floor he started randomly guessing which way the town was. "is it this way, or perhaps this way" he blurted aloud as he pointed the way he guessed.

"Yeah, I can lead you there. Follow me."

Opal began to trot away when another questions was asked.

"No, not that way. This way."

The Growlithe wondered again if perhaps the stranger was intoxicated. Mons who were in such a state didn't tend to think, though. This one was trying, bless his heart. Maybe he was just a clumsy ditz? No, she shouldn't make judgements like that about someone she didn't know. How awfully rude of her!

Opal began to lead the way again, hoping the Spinda would follow this time. All the while, she kept an eye out for danger. If she was helping someone, it was her duty to protect them.

[13 energy] (not sure this is right, still a little confused about the energy, plus why does trap say +5 energy?)

He staggeringly started to follow behind Opal, spinning around on a leg to look at his surroundings as he kept a slow pace behind her. As he continued he nearly stepped on a stick, looking at it for a second he picked it up, holding the pointy side he swung it around like a flag, not worrying whatsoever about jabbing himself.

Looking up for a second he saw what he thought was something staring at him when he starred a little harder he made out a blue figure, it stared at him patiently, as if waiting for something. not to far apart where two other, staring him down from their high vantage point. Seeming uncomfortable he sped up closer to Opal.

Walking next to her, brandishing his stick he addressed what he saw. "Um... is it normal for them to be here?" He said, pointing his stick in a way that didn't try to point it out to obviously, in case they saw.

"Um..." Opal tried to recall what she knew about the area, "I think so. I saw one on the way in, but it wasn't hostile."

The Growlithe didn't know what these pokemon were, just that they looked like plants, or rather, things that grow on plants. Did that mean they were grass type? It should be easy to scare them off if so. She fluffed up her fur and barked menacingly at them.

Unfortunately, the noise had drawn the attention of even more pokemon who were making their way over. Two separate pairs of two separate species. They weren't there yet, but when they arrived, they would see an opportunity they could take advantage of.

Cimche stared ahead as the Pokémon made their way to their vicinity of the forest, two big-eyed birds flying while the others sharp hared Pokémon made their way by foot. He silently stood next to opal as they approached, feeling a little nervous. The birds perched on the nearest tree branches lowest to the ground, staring down at them with their big eyes. The other pair flanked them on either side ahead of them.

He looked up then back down, getting a feel for the situation. Leaning closer to Opal he whispered as low as he could. "Should we say something or..." He said, not knowing how to finish his question.

Opal didn't like that more pokemon had arrived on the scene. The way they watched... it was as if they were waiting for something. The cone-shaped pokemon hadn't moved, either.

"I'm not sure. No one looks friendly," she whispered back,  "Maybe we should take out the ones behind us and run?"

The Growlithe was suddenly relieved to have a partner by her side. It made her feel a little more confident about fighting their way out of the problem, but they were still outnumbered by almost four to one.

"How good are you in a combat situation?" she asked quietly. It would help to know what the Spinda was capable of. For all she knew, he could be quite powerful.

"Besides a simple tackle if I wish hard enough, I feel better. plus I can copy what was used last." He said as his eyes stayed focused on their pursuers.

The ones on the ground slowly closed in, He didn't notice it but not to far away lay a pecha berry, standing on what looked like loose ground covered in leaves. as he continued to back up the ground ceased to be there, him falling backwards with a scream. His screams echoed through the pit as he fell to the bottom. His body hit the bottom with a thud, him beind dazed from the fall.

The pecha berry that was placed on the trap landed on his belly. He stared it at for a second, recalling the rotten one he saw earlier before knocking it off as he picked himself up. looking above he saw how deep the whole was, being a four minute climb if he could climb it.
