Good grass - Good Grass Empty
PostSubject: Good Grass   Good grass - Good Grass EmptyThu Dec 28, 2017 11:08 pm

Rosemary waddled through the forest with high hopes. She had heard in town that guild members came to train here a lot, and this would be a perfect place to introduce herself. She worried she wouldn't fit into any of their teams. She imagined how great it would be to join a team, and have everyone accept her right away. The fomantis began to get discouraged, because she knew this scenario was unrealistic. Feeling anxious, she she began to wander more impatiently, peeking around every tree. "Of course I picked the day when everyone decides not to train here," she thought to herself. All of this stress was making her feel silly for walking around alone in an empty forest.

She kept moving, going wherever she felt was the right way. Her paranoia began to overwhelm her, however; so she waddled over to a creek to clear her head. Was this really what she was meant to do? "Maybe I am meant to be the cold hearted the pokemon that cripples other pokemon. Is there no hope for redemption?" she asked herself. Thinking about it more, she knew she was doing the right thing.

Rosemary got up, and continued on her journey. She started to move quickly as she began to have a panic attack. As she picked up speed her waddling turned into more of a hop, and despite the depressing tone the scene actually looked quite humorous to bystanders. MJ finally came across a pokemon! "It's about time!" she squealed as she hopped over to him. There was hope after all! She paused in her tracks as she examined the mysterious white snake. Even better, it appeared to be alive! She couldn't really tell since it was laying down sleeping, and wore a cape that was way too big for it. "I'm so happy to finally see another pokemon!" she exclaimed, running over to the sleeping pokemon.

Good grass - Good Grass Empty

So happy. There were certainly plenty of forests in this area, much to the benefit a helio-challenged serpent such as himself. They came with their share of detriments as well, to be fair. Trees and plants would catch him in his bad vision field and he would trip into a bump or a scrape. Navigation was just generally an issue for the near-sighted snake in such areas. The pokemon here were typically not ones for conversation; sometimes he would find an exception or two but for the most part those he met were feral or trainees who would dismiss him with varying degrees of politeness. There was also the issue of still being new to the area and thus untrained in it's customs and such. Regardless of this, they were incredibly useful resources for thought, as they provided a place where he could sit for many hours without having to get up and move or risk overheating under his cloak. There were ample lakes and streams with calm waters, which let him enjoy his study of the cosmos above. All in all, it was a place he already cherished.

As he continued thinking on things, he began to feel the definite lack of a psychic type to help guide him in his life. It had been nice to have someone around who could project into his mind images beyond the veil that blurred his vision, allowing him to experience everything with relieving clarity. Perhaps he was also grateful for the absence, though. It forced him to keep his mind sharp; reminding him of the unclear void of driving forces that shaped the world. He found he could be content with lacking the clarity of vision if he had the clarity of mind to equalize it. There were also a fair amount of opportunities to perhaps find another gifted acquaintance to help him. In light of the earlier thought though, perhaps he didn't want to after all?

After quite a while of probing these different thoughts in the pleasant shade of a smaller tree, the inner monologue of his thoughts subsided into the light dreams of a shallow nap. One which he was awoken from quite soon after it had begun by a voice approaching, exclaiming about how thrilled it was to find another comrade and other words that floated around listlessly in the fresh sleep haze without properly connecting to form meaning. He rose from his slumped-over posture and smiled at the newcomer.

"Ah, it is a pleasure. I'm happy to meet someone with amiable tendencies as well," he replied casually as he offered a leafy hand to shake. "My name is Adrol Drake," he said with a slight bow and a tip of the hat, "but Adrol is much more pleasantly casual. May I ask your name as well?"

Good grass - Good Grass Empty
PostSubject: Re: Good Grass   Good grass - Good Grass EmptyWed Apr 18, 2018 5:32 pm

In another section of the mystery dungeon - though, still relatively close by - a young dratini slithered along the forest floor with a sense of visible excitement. Pecha forest was many things, but exciting was not what most people would use to describe it. Thanks to its close proximity to the town and the weaker wild pokemon inhabiting it, it was where many of the younger pokemon in Grassveil decided to play and train during their early years. For this small serpentine dragon, it was barely trodden territory; It was not often that he was afforded the opportunity to abscond to a mystery dungeon, let alone all by himself. A goofy grin was pasted on the dragon type's snout, and adorning his forehead was an oversized headband as he slithered along the ground, eyes peeled wide for imaginary enemies on the horizon. Behind him, he dragged a small satchel, fastened to his body by a strap on his neck. All in all, the creature painted the picture of a young pokemon traipsing about the forest when they probably should have been somewhere less dangerous.

To his growing dismay, however, it seemed the forest was... uncharacteristically quiet. Osiris the dratini was all alone save for the many tall trees surrounding him. As he peered up at the forest canopy above him - squinting at the sunlight shining through the cloudy sky and leafy overhead - he saw no flying pokemon, either. His excitable countenance melted into something a lot more melancholy, and the grin on his snout was replaced by a disappointed frown. He had thought to spend the afternoon training in the forest against strong enemies, having dramatic battles left and right, but he hadn't found anything immediately. Perhaps this was to be expected, given that this was supposed to be one of the less dangerous mystery dungeons around, but he was not giving up yet. Lowering his head to the ground, Iris slithered on, ever the picture of stealth and sneakiness. If wild pokemon weren't going to come to him, then he'd just have to find some on his own...
