Cían the Aron Empty
PostSubject: Cían the Aron   Cían the Aron EmptySat Jul 01, 2017 4:33 am

» Name: Cían
» Sex: Male
» Species: #304 Aron, the Iron Armor Pokémon
» Affiliation: Wanderer

» Level: 5
» Energy: 19
» Ability:  Heavy Metal
» Moves:
- Move 1 – Tackle (Level 1)
Cían throws himself into his target, attempting to send them sprawling on the ground, or at least staggering backwards.
- Move 2 – Harden (Level 1)
Cían braces himself for an impact, steadying himself against whatever his opponents will throw at him.
- Move 3 – Mud Slap (Level  4)
Cían fires mud from the holes in his armour at high speeds, attempting to obscure his target's vision and send them reeling, lowering their accuracy.
- Move 4 – Head Smash (Egg Move, learnt from Alaris)
Cían remembers back to what his father taught him, and puts everything he has into an all-out attack, ramming head first into his target and causing catastrophic damage. He rarely uses this attack.

» Natural Feats:
-Iron Metabolism - Aron are able to easily feed upon and digest Iron. The more Iron they eat, the thicker their armoured shell becomes.
-Steel Armour – Aron are covered in a steel carapace that they shed when they evolve. The carapace builds up depending on how much Iron the Aron in question eats, i.e. the more Iron that is eaten, the stronger and thicker the carapace gets.
-Heavy Impact – Aron have the ability to cause catastrophic damage in all-out charge, being able to shatter rocks and crumple steel upon collision.
-Heavy Metal – Cían’s armour structure is much more dense than most other Aron, and as a result, he is twice as heavy.

» Relatives:
-Rampardos (Father) - Alaris
-Aggron (Mother) - Corrin

» Personality:

Cían’s single most core belief is that true power comes from strength, and he will go to great lengths to achieve that power. Despite this, he is doggedly loyal to his friends, outwardly friendly, and remarkably laid back.

He is somewhat of an artistic thinker, and is far better at finding beauty in things than logical explanations. This leads into his habit of acting before thinking, which often lands him in trouble. He will often make quick, on the spot decisions without thinking, trusting his instinct and strength to get him through whatever he’s doing. The only time he ever really slows down is when he’s building his sculptures.

Cían finds it easy to get along with unfamiliar faces, having gone a long time on the road by himself. He does not, however, form lasting bonds without difficulty. However, those he grows close to can count on him whenever they're in need.

» Likes:

Eating – Cían can often be found chowing down on whatever source of Iron or metal he can get his paws on, regardless of whether he can digest it properly or not. It’s a guilty pleasure, and he has a criminal obsession with bronze, despite its rarity.

Sleeping – Travelling has taught Cían how important sleep can be, and how a well-rested opponent is often much tougher than one who’s been awake for a long period of time. He catches as many hours as possible in the day, and woe betides anyone who wakes him without good reason.

Metalworking – Alaris taught Cían from a very early age how to bash metal into different shapes. This doesn’t necessarily mean that either of them were good at it, but Corrin helped Cían refine his technique somewhat. He spends a lot of his free time making sculptures out of inedible metals, such as Tungsten.

» Dislikes:

Early Mornings – The longer Cían can spend in his bed, the better. No reason for this, he’s just lazy as all hell.

Unnecessary Work – Cían believes in doing things as quickly and easily as possible. The sooner he sees a result, the better, and the longer it takes the more frustrated and irritable he’ll get. This only applies to small tasks, such as gathering berries, or cleaning up.

Discussing People’s Backgrounds – Cían has trouble empathising with other character’s pasts and histories, believing that everyone should simply move on from their troubles. This is a result of his own inability to come to terms with the loss of his mother, and his father’s departure back into the wilderness to find the ones who committed the atrocity.

» History:

Cían was born to an Aggron Mother (Corrin) and a Rampardos Father (Alaris). His mother was an independent explorer, wandering through the world and gathering riches as she went. His father was simply a wild Pokémon who she happened to meet on her travels, befriending him and eventually settling down with him. Cían never learned how his parents met before he left his birthplace in the Black Spear Mountains.

Soon enough, Cían came along, and acclimatised to his parents’ home in the Mountains with surprising speed.  For a few years, everything was fine. Corrin and Alaris lived happily with their son, showing him the ways of life in the mountains, and teaching him everything they knew about exploring and about all of the things they had learnt on their travels. Alaris spent most of his time with his son exploring the local caves and training him in combat, always in sight of their own home. Corrin dedicated her time to teaching Cían how to read and write in foot runes, and telling her son about all of her adventures across the world.

Eventually, Cían grew to be strong enough that Alaris deemed him able to adventure beyond their simple homestead. The Rampardos gathered meagre supplies, enough to sustain them for a few days, and the two departed from the family’s home at the foot of the mountain range. Corrin watched as the two gradually disappeared into the mountains.

Cían journeyed through the mountain range with his father, learning from the older Pokémon that power was the key to becoming great. Alaris demonstrated as they went, subduing threats to his son with ease and teaching him that he needed to become as strong as possible. It didn’t matter how he obtained his strength, Alaris said, only that he would become stronger.

After a week of journeying and battling, the pair returned home in good spirits, only to find that their home lay in ruins. Seeing the smoking shell from far off, Alaris charged off ahead, leaving his son behind. Cían still remembers the long, keening wail of grief that his father let out upon entering the house, and often will find it drifting to the fore of his mind in times of bereavement or loss.

The next few days were a blur. Cían half-heartedly helped his father bury his mother, and simply lying alone in the house. Alaris dedicated himself to searching out the Pokémon responsible for his partner’s death, and would often disappear for days at a time, each time coming back more ragged, more damaged, more scarred. Cían watched as Alaris’ physical wellbeing slowly deteriorated, and eventually, Alaris never came back. Cían waited for weeks, waiting for his father’s return, but he never came back.

About a month after Alaris’ disappearance, the young Aron packed what little he had left into a bag, and set off into the wilds, putting as much distance as he could between himself and his former home. He wandered for miles, stopping only for rest, and to gather information from fellow travellers.

After a period of around a year on the road, Cían discovered a small village of Pokémon, called Grassveil Town. He had heard of the Guild there, and planned to enlist, potentially becoming a licensed adventurer like his mother had been, vowing to become stronger than his father ever was, and bring whoever attacked his family to justice.

» Other:
Cían has a ridiculous obsession with Pomeg berries. He simply cannot get enough of them.
His unnatural habit of chowing down on non-ferrous metals can be treated somewhat like a seafood allergen sufferer with a love of crab. He knows he shouldn't but sometimes he can't help himself.

PostSubject: Re: Cían the Aron   Cían the Aron EmptyMon Jul 03, 2017 4:21 pm

Sorry, your Character Bio cannot be approved due to the following reasons:

1.) SPECIES

The official species name is spelled "armor," not "armour."

2.) NATURAL FEATS

Aron eat iron to build up their metallic armor. It does nothing for their "bodily functions." Also, note that while the Pokédex does make a testament to the ability of an aron to cause a high degree of damage, this is presumably in reference to a STRONG individual of the species. A weak one (such as a level 5, newly created character) is not permitted to go around ramming through boulders and buildings.

3.) LIKES

Aron are able to eat iron in specific. Trying to eat other kinds of metals would logically make them sick if not outright poison them, as there's nothing to indicate they've developed the ability to safely consume any metal other than iron. This kind of "obsession" would be more like an addiction in the sense that it would present health issues. If you want your character to be a metal glutton, you'll have to be aware of this.

4.) HISTORY

That's not the name of the mountain range. And how did Corrin's mother teach him to write? An aron can't exactly hold a pencil, so what, did she teach him footprint runes? Need some specification here.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message any of the Secretaries. May it be through the Chatbox or through Private Messaging, we will tend to your concerns as soon as we can.
