A Relaxing Afternoon by the Pond? Empty
PostSubject: A Relaxing Afternoon by the Pond?   A Relaxing Afternoon by the Pond? EmptySun Nov 18, 2012 5:44 pm

Tsukishiro quietly padded through Grassveil's town square. She had just gotten back from a day of exploring and was hoping to take a nice relaxing walk by the pond. She looked tired, but in fact she was anything but. She felt like she could do a second exploration right there and then without worrying, but she knew she needed to take things slowly. After all she was new to this exploring thing and didn't want to overtax her body.

This was why she was heading down towards the pond. Shiro hoped that the calmer atmosphere might help her relax a little. It was late in the afternoon, but the sun was still fairly high in the sky, giving the Absol hours of daylight to work with before she had to be back in her sleeping quarters to rest up for tomorrow.

A few minutes later she padded through the thin group of trees that surrounded the pond. She headed straight towards the water, taking a small drink from it before shaking her fur and glancing around to see what other Pokemon were nearby.

Ace walked by the pond, he had already explored all the other places near Grassveil, just not this place. And he figured that he might as well just go and look around the one place he hadn't visited yet. He looked around the area, though all he could see were various Pokemon relaxing.

The Snivy crossed his arms, "I doubt I'm actually going to find anything here..." he muttered under his breath. As annoying as getting attacked by feral Pokemon every other minute was, it was something exciting for him to do. Not wanting to give up hope, he began to walk around the area, trying to find something.

As Tsukishiro glanced around, she saw a Snivy walk into the tranquil clearing and smiled at him.
"Hi there!" she grinned cheerfully, droplets of water falling from the tips of her fur and littering the ground with tiny dark circles. Shiro's white fur stood out brightly against the greens and browns of the ground around her. She looked like she belonged on an icy mountain rather than in or near a bustling town.

The Snivy turned around, seeing the Absol approaching him, "Hello." he responded, not really putting a lot of investment in the conversation. He wasn't expecting to start a conversation with another stranger, even less here than at one of those mountains. At least at the mountains, it would be more of a way to get a partner to make your way through the dangerous area, but here there didn't seem to be any reason for it.

Tsukishiro shrugged to herself. It was almost like she could feel the small amount of effort that Ace had put into the conversation. It didn't seem like it was going to evolve into anything and so she didn't reply. She sat down by the pond's edge and stared at her reflection, contemplating whether she should just jump in.

It would likely not be appreciated by the rest of the Pokemon here if she did and so she decided against it. Sighing, Tsukishiro lay down and rested her head on her paws.
"It's way too quiet around here."

Ace glanced over at the Absol, "Tell me about it. I was hoping one place near this town would be something more than a forest. But I guess this area just lacks any feral Pokemon. And I doubt there's any secrets lying around, if this is a peaceful area I'm sure someone would have already uncovered them by now..." he said.

The Absol rolled onto her back and just waved her paws in the air out of boredom. She then rolled back over and got up onto her feet.
"Eh... It looks like just a pond. I doubt there was anything here worth finding anyway."
Tsukishiro took a few short steps back before she bounded forwards and jumped into the water. She splashed a lot of it over the pond's bank, soaking a few of the Pokemon who were sitting by the pondside.
"Sorry!~" she chuckled.

Ace took a few steps backwards, not wanting to risk the Absol splashing around anymore. He looked over at some of the, now soaked Pokemon who looked a little annoyed with the Pokemon in the pond.
"At least someone seems to be enjoying themselves." the Snivy said.

"Ahahah!" she laughed, swimming around the pond like a child who had never been swimming before.
"Well it's more fun than lying around doing nothing, that's for sure. And the sun is still shining so it's not like it will take long for everyone to dry off," she grinned.

"Huh. One second that Absol is somewhat calm, and the next she's splashing around like a child..." he thought to himself, "Not the kind of shift I'd expect from an Absol of all Pokemon...Aren't they supposed to be tough or something like that?"
He ignored the thought and watched the Pokemon swim around, "You can have fun with that, all I know is that I'm not joining you in there."

"Aww. Well your loss then Mr. Snivy," she chuckled, swimming across the length of the pond on her back and using her back legs to propel her. She paused for a moment, wondering what Izumi might say if she saw her now. Perhaps she would just join in... or maybe she would just scold her and tell her to be more mature. She never could tell with her older sister.

The young Absol's body seemed to sink into the water so that only the top of her head and her eyes were visible, along with the tip of the sickle like appendage on her head. She watched as air bubbles from her mouth reached the water's surface, popping and creating small ripples.

Boredom. Again.
There really was nothing amusing about this place.

Ace quickly stopped paying attention to the Absol in the pond, and began to wander around the small area looking for something to do. He figured that he did come out here, so he might as well find something to do, or at least try.
Somehow, this was more of a problem then he originally thought it would be.

Tsukishiro watched as the Snivy wandered around. There was something about the way he moved that made it seem like he had no specific goal in mind. She frowned and swam towards the edge of the pond, using her large paws to splash water in his direction.
"What's your name?" she asked.

Ace could hear another splashing sound, followed by water flying up into his face. He began to wipe his face with his cape when he heard the Absol ask a question. He let go of the cape and let it hang behind him as he turned back to the Pokemon, a few water droplets still dripping from his head.
"My name is Ace. I guess it would only be kind to ask the same of you." he said, trying to sound somewhat dignified, in spite of still being wet.

The Absol chuckled as the Snivy's scales continued to drip with the pond water she had splashed at him.
"I'm Tsukishiro, though most people call me Shiro for short because my name is kinda long. Pleased to meet you, Ace!" she smiled, pulling herself back up and out of the water.

"If you don't want to get any more soaked than you already are, I suggest you stand back..." she commented before shaking her fur to remove as much moisture as she could.
