Gauel grumbled a bit as he trudged through the muck of the mire, kicking up the muddy water. "I know I offered my arm for you to ride on back in Cattail Marsh," he said to apparently no one as he continued to move on. "But why do you have to be in there?" To his question, Gauel pulled his bag up a bit, opening it up to look at the Fletchling now huddled inside with his stuff. He didn't understand why she had to go in there if her wings got tired. Plus that was his stuff she was sat on. The Grovyle knew he'd have to wash his berries before trying to eat them unless he wanted to taste Fletchling feet on them.

Gauel groaned as the Pokemon began to spin rapidly. "Ah shi-" Gauel was cut off as as the Claydol stopped suddenly, a wave of psychic energy blasting out from it and slamming straight into the Grovyle. Gauel was thrown back by the Psyshock into the tree Cana was still resting on, the roots caving in behind him partially. The Grass type groaned as he attempted to pull himself back onto his feet. "That, really hurt," he said as he stumbled forward after standing up.

"Gnngh..." Gauel groaned as he stared up at the Claydol. The Pokemon was already preparing another attack, spinning once more as its eyes all glowed red. The Grovyle growled, his own eyes gaining a red glow. Balls of red light formed around the Grovyle before zipping around the Claydol. The Ground type's attack was interrupted as its energy was suddenly being drained as the light enveloped it. After a moment, the light left it, returning to Gauel as it turned green. The injuries Gauel had sustained from the initial attack began to disappear, though not completely as he sighed in relief.

The Claydol had stopped spinning, and whilst it was occupied by Gauel's draining move, Arietta set herself alight once again. She practically dive bombed the Clay Doll pokemon with her fiery body. Before the move could connect, she found her beak also glowing. The Fletchling them proceeded to collide with the Claydol's large body using a combination of her Flame Charge and the newly learned Peck move.

She didn't want to just leave the fight to Gauel, not when there were three of them to help share the burden of the fight and work alongside one another. Her morals also wouldn't let her run away just because an opponent looked tough. Instead she too would tough it out and find some way to overcome it.

Cana had just told tge Grovyle to be careful and he got thrown at the tree she was resting under. The roots she was resting on broke down, making her fall in the water. The Fennekin splashed around in panic, before she managed to get on her feet.

Ok, this was not fun. She was soaking wet again. Not that she wasn't before though. Cana noticed how the others attacked the strange Pokemon. She had to try to help. The Fennekin waded closer and tried to fire an Ember attack at it. Her attack was weaker than usual, but she managed to hit the Pokemon.

The Claydol was knocked down into the water partially by the force of Arietta's attack. Gauel then charged forward, a green streak behind him as he slammed into the Claydol with a Quick Attack. At least, he thought he did. That is until he saw he actually hit a shield of light. On the other side was a trio of Baltoy, all spinning rapidly.

Gauel growled at the trio, punching the Protect in frustration. One of the Baltoy then began to use Telekinesis, quickly moving the Claydol out of the area. Gauel attempted to chase after it, only to be stopped by the third Baltoy's Telekinesis. Gauel attempted to struggle out of the psychic hold on him.

Once the Claydol was nearly out of sight, Gauel felt himself fall into the water, the Baltoy all stopping their attacks as they began to glow white. The Grovyle blinked in surprise, how could all three appear to be evolving at the same time?

It was then that he was shown it was not them evolving, it was then self destructing with Gauel right next to them.

Arietta flew backwards after her attack hit the Claydol successfully, intending to dive in once again to try and finish their opponent off quickly. Cana's attack also hit during this period, however, before she could act once again, Gauel had already crashed into the Protect barrier erected by the Baltoy.

Upon seeing the Baltoy using Telekinesis to hold Gauel in place, the young Fletchling dived towards it, her beak glowing once more with a Peck move. She collided with the Baltoy, forcing it to lose it's concentration and drop the Grovyle back into the swampy water.

After colliding with the Baltoy, Arie immediately flew upwards, attempting to minimize the chances of any sort of counterattack harming her. It was lucky that she did so, as the Baltoy she attacked in attempts to free Gauel soon self-destructed along with the other two, knocking the trio out but heavily damaging the Grovyle.

The Claydol that had previously attacked them was long gone by now, and so Arietta moved back over to Gauel, examining his injuries whilst hovering next to him.
"Are you alright?" she asked. She couldn't get a good grasp on how severe his injuries might be due to the swamp water obscuring some of them. She then called over to Cana to check that the Fennekin was also still with them.
"Cana are you doing alright?" she called out to the yellow fox, wanting to check on both parties.

Cana had not noticed the Baltoy at first. Were they there from the beginning? She didn't know. She could tell they were trying to do something to Gauel. The Fennekin hesitated and fired an ember to the one who was closest to her while Arietta attacked another one.

But then the Pokemon seemed to explode. Cana was lucky she was not standing so close to them. The attack already hurt but if she had taken the same amount of damage as Gauel, she might not have survived.

Cana groaned a bit when Arietta asked if she was ok. She wasn't so sure if she was. The explosion not only knocked her back, it had sent a wave of water over her. That had been scary. Cana took a deep breath before answering. "I think so. It hurt a bit." Cana looked over at the Grovyle. He really didn't look good.

Gauel was flung back quite far before skidding across the water like a skipping stone. He eventually came to a halt, floating face down in the water. When Arie approached him, he groaned a bit, a few bubbles rising out of the water. His entire body felt like it was seared, beaten, and otherwise in extreme pain. Even the act of turning himself over to breath took considerable effort. "B-bag... Revi-viver s-seed, p-pl-," he managed to say between groans and winces before being cut off by the water underneath him exploding outwards.

"Shaymin! We found you!" a Swampert exclaimed as she hugged Gauel tightly. "We came as soon as possible to rescue you when it was found out where you were!" Gauel twitched a bit in the hug, his eyes rolled back as the Swampert was inadvertently crushing him.

Arie nodded to Cana with a small smile, glad that she was okay but then quickly turned her attention to Gauel as she tried to decipher his words. She managed to understand the words 'bag' and 'reviver seed' before something burst out of the water from underneath the Grovyle, causing Arietta to flutter backwards a few paces in surprise.

It turns out, a Swampert caused the odd happening... and it seemed to think that Gauel was some someone called 'Shaymin.' She tried to stifle her small chuckles as the water type hugged Gauel. He certainly seemed enthusiastic, however Arie quickly realised that it was't doing the Grovyle's condition any good and so she moved over to the Swampert.

"Uhm. Miss? I don't know who you're looking for but this isn't your friend... and you're kinda crushing him. Could you please let him go?" She spoke, attempting to reason with the new face. She would have tried to pry the Swampert's powerful arms from the Grovyle's body but as a tiny Fletchling there was no way she'd have enough power to do so.

Cana jumped back surprised when a Swampert appeared from under Gauel and hugged him. It looked rather painful. Wait, did the Swampert call Gauel Shaymin? She had never heard that name before. "Um...Who is Shaymin?" She asked to her. "This Pokemon is named Gauel and I think....a Grovyle?" Cana glanced unsure at Arietta. She didn't want to mess up his species.

Suddenly, another Swampert appeared. "What! You found Shaymin? Where are they?" The new Swampert looked around frantically and then laid his eyes on Gauel. "Are you sure that is Shaymin? I thought Shaymin was smaller and would be...I'm not sure. This grass type doesn't look like the gratitude Pokemon.

"Of course this must be Shaymin, Toto! It's obviously a Grass type and it must be so grateful for us rescuing it!" The Swampert had completely ignored Arietta and Cana as they attempted to get her to free the Grovyle. "Quagsire, Marshtomp, Inkay! We found her!" she called out. As if on cue, a number of Quagsire, Marshtomp, and Inkay popped out of the water. One Quagsire even popped up just underneath Cana. The many Pokemon all began to cheer and dance, excluding the other Swampert. Seems he was the only one who wasn't as dull as the swamp water. Gauel groaned out, lifting up an arm, "I-I'm a G-grovyle. A-and I-I'd be gr-grateful if you let me down." The Grovyle then passed out, hanging limply in the Swampert's arms.

Arietta nodded numbly to Cana as she tried to explain Gauel's true species, confirming him to be a Grovyle.... not that it mattered as they were both promptly ignored and a plethora of other pokemon from the area appeared, apparently all having been looking for this 'Shaymin' person.

The young Fletchling didn't really know what to do. All these pokemon seemed absorbed in their own little world... but surely they'd have known that Gauel wasn't Shaymin if they'd met Shaymin before? It was all a little suspicious if she were honest.

As Gauel felt limp in the Swampert's arms, Arie fluttered closer and began tugging at the Swampert's arms with her small black feet. She knew she wasn't powerful enough to particularly help in getting the large water type to let go, but she figured it might at least gain his attention.
"You're hurting him!" she cried out.

Cana shook her head. The other Pokemon didn't seem to listen. Not only that, more Pokemon were appearing. Gauel seemed to be in pain, but none of those strangers seemed to notice. The Fennekin wanted to help, but she didn't know how. The ground under the Fennekin started moving and before she knew it, she was standing on the head of a blue Pokemon. The Fennekin looked around her, rather scared.

"H-Hey, put me down." She said to the Quagsire. She didn't want to be on the head of the Pokemon, but she also didn't want to jump in the water, scared that she would land in a deep part or that she would get entangled in the plants like Gauel and Arietta did earlier. She hoped the stranger would listen.

The Swampert finally took notice of Arietta when she began to attempt to pry Gauel free. "Eh? Hurting who?" she asked before looking at the unconscious Grovyle. "Ah! Shaymin wake up!" the water type said, starting to shake Grovyle around. The second Swampert quickly stepped into the fuss, grabbing one of the first Swampert's arms before pulling Gauel free. "Yeesh, calm down. Sorry for my friend's eagerness, she's a bit ditzy. Everyone leave, this isn't Shaymin!" he said. As if on cue, all the other Pokemon sunk back into the water, like a well oiled machine. The Swampert then set Gauel down onto a bed of Cattails. "Er...he's not dead, is he?" he asked, poking Gauel's unconsious body. "Oh no! I didn't kill Shaymin did I!?!" the other asked, still not quite seeming to understand that Gauel was not Shaymin.

Although the Swampert squishing Gauel still hadn't seemed to comprehend that the Grovyle wasn't this Shaymin character they were looking for, the water type had loosened her grip a little, allowing Gauel to breathe properly once again.

Arietta breathed a small sigh of relief but then quickly fluttered over to try and check that the Grovyle was still breathing at all. She hopped up and down on his stomach for a moment, trying to rouse him so that she could check he was still alive. She was lighter than most, so her size wasn't such that she would squish the grass type further.

As the water Pokemon finally realized that Gauel wasn't the Pokemon they were looking for, all of them, except for the two Swampert, disappeared back into the water. Cana fell into the water and splashed around in a panic before she managed to gain her footing. She didn't like this swamp. It would probably not be so bad if she evolved. The Fennekin made a mental note to not come to that place again until she was evolved.

One the Fennekin calmed down, she waded over to Gauel. She could see his condition was pretty bad. "Is he ok..? He doesn't look so good..." Cana murmered to no one in particular. The Fennekin was shocked when Arietta started jumping on him. "Wait, you'll hurt him." She said in the hopes that the Fletchling would stop. Even if it was to see if the Grovyle was still alive, she didn't think it was not a good idea for Arietta to do that.
