PostSubject: Sigma the Pichu   Wed Dec 30, 2015 1:41 am

» Name: Sigma
» Sex: Male
» Gender: Male
» Species: #172 - Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon
» Affiliation: Wanderer

» Level: 5
» Energy: 16
» Ability: Lightning Rod
» Moves:
- Volt Tackle (Egg)
- Thunder Shock (Lv. 1)
- Charm (Lv. 1)
- Tail Whip (Lv. 5)

» Natural Feats:
- Quick Charge – This Pokémon charges electricity more easily and faster when there are thunderclouds or in any area with particularly dry air.

» Personality: Sigma is a very serious, no-nonsense kind of Pokémon. He can be described as a stick in the mud, not enjoying any kind of horseplay. He will take any situation seriously, often going so far as to criticize other Pokémon for childish behavior, even if he is actually younger than them. While sarcasm is not lost on him, he does sometimes have a difficult time noticing more subtle sarcastic remarks in his critical demeanor. He will not tolerate excuses either. If a Pokémon fails in some objective, they must suck it up and take the blame instead of trying to pass it off to another.

He is also a very manipulative Pokémon. He seeks to gain the advantage over other Pokémon in any way that he can. Whether this is simply by intentionally turning Pokémon against each other or by making low/cheap shots at a vulnerability, he will exploit it. He is not above using cheap or underhanded tactics if it means coming out on top. This sometimes leads to other Pokémon mistakenly identifying him as a dishonorable or mean-spirited Pokémon. In truth, he is merely very cynical and does not believe that "fighting fair" will get you nowhere when dealing with scummy Pokémon.

Despite his manipulative behavior, he does have a soft spot for weak, vulnerable Pokémon and will fight for them if they are incapable of fighting for themselves, be it physically or verbally.

» Likes:
- Control: More than anything, Sigma enjoys staying in control of any given situation. He greatly enjoys the freedom of having the most room to negotiate or make any other actions. He plans what he can before going into foreseeable situations. One day, he hopes that he will be able to use intimidation to his advantage after evolving.
- Strength/Training: Being strong allows him to more easily maintain control of a situation. After all, he learned the hard way that strength speaks volumes in this world. If you can be overpowered or defeated, then it is far more difficult, if not impossible, to maintain control of a situation.
- Pokémon with a sense of honor: He has high respect for Pokémon that do not resort to sneaky or underhanded tactics as well as those that strive to keep promises. He admires their willpower and wishes that he could be like them, but thinks that that very belief is too naïve and that it works only in theory. He would never hope to be like them, and will likely merely find them stubborn if they refuse to change their ways. But that won't stop him from respecting their ideals.

» Dislikes:
- Immaturity: Sigma has very short tolerance for immaturity. He is not a fan of jokes unless they are short-lived and anything that he deems “childish” in any way, such as pointless bickering or whining.
- Weakness/Timidity/Cowardice: If there is anything Sigma hates, it's when he sees weakness or Pokémon that do not have the backbone to do something. He believes that having courage is extremely important in this world, and if you are too afraid to fail, you should simply submit yourself to those who have the will to press forward. However, he is more willing to bear the sight if it means he can remain in control and dominant over that Pokémon.
- Pokémon that believe fighting solves everything: He also hates this ideal, as it reminds him of what happened to him before. Pokémon that refuse to negotiate or choose to solve their problems with needless violence are extremely simple-minded and he strives to be better than them. He acknowledges that sometimes violence is required, but it should be a last-resort in terms of conflict resolution.

» History: Sigma was born and raised in Grassveil Town. He lived with a Pikachu father and a Raichu mother with no siblings. He lived a rather standard life there, living rather comfortably in a small home. His parents raised him in a very optimistic manner, always telling him to keep looking on the bright side of life. As long as they were living well, what did it matter if a few problems came their way now and again?

Little did young Sigma know, his father had only been able to maintain this standard quality of living by accepting a loan from a Grumpig. He had made the mistake of accepting the loan without knowing much about the other Pokémon. And one day, this came out into the open and ruined his easygoing life. The Grumpig showed up one day at their home, to the father's apparent shock. He was backed up by  At that point, the Grumpig began to spill the news: apparently, Sigma's father had developed a slight gambling addiction. Over time, he built up a small debt to a few Pokemon who had begun to ask him to collect or else they would go to the family and blow his secret open. In a desperate attempt to keep his habit a secret, he took a loan from this Grumpig, who had been eavesdropping on one of these threats. And now, the Grumpig was here to collect...and he did more than that.

That day, the Grumpig took Sigma hostage using his Psychic-type power, and forced the family to pay the loan in full right there or the child would find himself hurt. His family paid the price and Sigma was returned, but it was obvious that the family was not going to be the same. Not only from a financial standpoint, but also because Sigma had been permanently affected. He had just been shown the truth of the world: It didn't matter how good-hearted you are. In the end, it's the cunning that stand on top in the end.

Not wanting to be a hindrance to his family, he left the home a week later, taking to fending for himself. He left only a message telling his parents to not look for him, assuring them that he would return to them one day. Of course, there was something he did not tell them: He secretly blamed his father for everything that had happened and he began to hold a grudge. Every day, he had found his love slowly growing into anger and he wanted to leave before he said something he would regret.

It has been a couple of years since he left his home...and he's seen much more of the world now. He is still inexperienced, but he is older and smarter than he had been. However, he has changed his mind on his promise. He sends his family one last message, coming clean for the first time. He tells them how he felt about his father and told them how he hoped that this distance and experience in the real world will help him forget or simply get over the incident. He also knows that what his father did was not truly such a big deal, but something about it stuck with him regardless. Not even he could really explain his feelings. But perhaps one day, he and his father can have a good relationship once more....

» Other: Sigma has a tuft of fur on the front of his head differentiating him in appearance from most Pichu, making him a bit more easily recognizable.
