(Equipped: Trap Scarf, Fire Dust: Reduces the Energy cost of Pokemon rolled by 1.)

Cana never had been to this place called Pricklemist Hill. She heard a few things about it and wondered what it was like. she was wandering around aimlessly in the forest. How long had she been walking around here? She didn't know. She also didn't know where she was going to. The Fennekin stopped a bit to rest. Everything just looked the same. Where was she even?

"....I completely got myself lost, didn't I? What do I do now?"

Cana sighed. She didn't know how to get back. She could hope the mist would lift but she didn't think that would happen. As she heard, this was a place with a permanent mist. Maybe she would be able to find her way back when the mist went thinner? It was pretty dense right now. She couldn't even see 2 meter in front of her. She kept pondering about it for a while.

The Shinx ran through the fog without a care in the world.  Arashi's sense of sight was useful in this type of weather, and just to add on to that, her nose wasn't anything short of amazing.  She could tell if something was sneaking up on her and what little secrets were around.  The sad thing was, she couldn't admire the haze as what it truly was.  sure, she could still see it, but it wasn't as up close, and thus more mystifying, as it was to other Pokemon.

Then, she picked up a scent.  The aroma was that of a crisp, woodsy kind of fragrance.  Like a burning campfire.  But the smell also held an air of fur.  Arashi decided to follow this scent, wondering what was creating it.

Cana walked a bit further. Since she couldn't see she had to try to rely on her other senses. The fog was interfering a bit with her sense of smell though. The air was damp and also smelled that way. She could still make out a few different scents but it was difficult to tell what they were. Guess I can't rely on my nose too much either. What do I do now?

As she was pondering about how to get around, she didn't notice the small rock that was laying in front of her. She walked with her leg against it and tripped. "Wah." She landed in soft grass so she wasn't hurt, only a bit surprised. I should watch where I am walking...

The Shinx heard a small noise come from the direction her noise was pointing.  Sounded like some sort of cry of shock or surprise, but she wasn't too sure.  So, she decided to follow it a bit quicker.  For all she knew, there was a Pokemon in danger, and she couldn't just walk on by without intervening.

Before she knew it, Arashi was bounding off towards the area where she heard the sound.  What she found was a Fennekin in the grass.  She didn't seem to be hurt at a first glance, but one could never be too sure.

"Are you OK?"  The Shinx strolled over the Pokemon briskly.  She looked over the fallen fire type again, now that she was closer.  "Do you need any help?  Anything at all?"

Cana jumped up as the Shinx approached her. "Whah" Where did she come from? What does she want from me? Huh? She's asking if I'm ok? Cana looked at herself and calmed down a bit. The Shinx had surprised her.

"Nah, I'm fine. I just tripped. This fog makes it hard to see where I am going." Cana looked around a bit. The fog was surrounding them from every side, creating some scary silhouettes. Luckily, she wasn't so easily scared. She was wondering who this stranger was though. "So um...Who are you?" She just asked.

"Oh, me?" The Shinx said with a grin, ready to use her new introduction she made recently. "The name's Arashi, co founder of Team Firefly! Ready to help anyone and everyone in need!" The electric type proudly posed as she exclaimed the information. Needless to say, she was excited over the fact that she was part of the Guild.

"And who are you?" The Shinx asked, smiling. Then she realized that she could have attracted some of the feral Pokemon that called this foggy mound their home. Arashi stayed cautious, without showing any form of worry externally. Her nose was at the ready, silently sniffing for any different scents.

Cana looked at the Shinx in front of her. This is the second time she met someone from the guild. The other time was of course meeting Raze and Pilot in Pecha Forest. That was not really the best time to remember. She got along well with Raze, or she at least believed so. She had explored with the Minun a few times.

"A guild member? I am Cana. I just travel around a lot. It's nice to meet you. " Arashi seemed pretty energetic to her. Cana was wondering how the guild was like but she never really thought about joining. The Fennekin did let her guard down for a bit as she was relieved not to have come across a feral or evil Pokemon.

"Nice to meet ya, too!"  The Shinx said with an excited air around her.  But soon, her demeanor changed for the worse.  Arashi caught a whiff of something only several meters away.  Friendly or not, the scent was a mixture of dust, dirt, and leaves, and another, indistinguishable odor.  Whatever it was, it had been living in this area for at least a week.  Best case scenario, it was just someone who was lost.  Worst case, a feral Pokemon.  She decided to voice her thoughts out for Cana.  She was potentially in just as much danger as herself, and as a Guild member, she had the responsibility to inform her.

"There's something close by.  Might be friendly, but I don't think so.  Hopefully, it's just a lost Pokemon, but realistically, it's more than likely something feral."  Arashi stated, looking around for anything that could be there.  Just then, she was jumped on by a Kricketot.  She managed to shake it off in seconds, and turned to see another Pokemon in the air.  A Fletchling.  The flying type swooped down towards Cana.  Unfortunately, Arashi couldn't get to her at the moment, since this Kricketot was in her way.  She did manage to yell out a warning to the Fennekin, thankfully, and turned her full attention back onto the bug in front of her.

Cana could have chosen no worse moment to lower her guard. She got surprised when the Kricketot jumped on Arashi. Startled, she didn't notice the other feral that was about to attack her. The Fennekin could hear Arashi shout a warning and noticed the Fletchling just in time. Cana managed to only get grazed by the attack.

"Urgh...." Cana watched the Fletchling. It turned around and came flying towards her again. The Fennekin just watched as it came closer. She didn't plan on dodging the attack. When the Fletchling came close eneough, Cana released a barrage of small flames. Surprised, the feral was not able to dodge this and fell towards the ground. The feral was not done yet though.

Arashi charged forward at the Kricketot, tackling and knocking it back around 3 meters. The bug sat and waited, biding its time to attack, allowing itself to accumulate strength. The Shinx continued to charge at it, ignorant to what the feral Pokemon was planning. By the time the had attacked it five different times, it released the stored power, and lunged, using its full force, and barreling straight into Arashi.

She was hit head on, flying far back, crashing into a tree with enough speed and force to tip it over slightly. The sand cat groaned, trying to get back up, but to no avail. The Kricketot waddled closer, even though it couldn't do much else unless it were attacked. Coughing, the Shinx tried to stand again, but no luck. She fell back down, but she had an idea.

Looking away from the bug and closing her eyes, Arashi allowed her mouth to go ablaze. Keeping it hidden from the feral Pokemon, she used her hearing and the scent of the creature inching closer. When the Kricketot was near enough, she turned around and striking with fangs made of flame, instantly knocking out the Pokemon.

Cana was too busy fighting the Fletchling to pay any attention to the fight between the Shinx and the Kricketot. She would not have been able to help Arashi if the Kricketot did overpower her.

The Fletchling got up almost immediately after it hit the ground. It let out a cry and planned to get take off in the air again. Cana didn't let it though. The Fennekin ran towards the Fletchling and hit it with a few scratch attacks. The bird staggered back but hit Cana with a few Peck attacks. Cana instinctively moved back and the bird took that opportunity to fly up again.

Cana looked up at the bird. What was she supposed to do? The Fennekin tried to hit it out of the sky with Ember. The Fletchling dodged it and then dived down towards the fire type. Cana stopped trying to hit it with Ember now. She stored up more and more heat as the bird got closer. Just as the bird hit her with a quick attack, Cana released all the heat she had stored up. The heat wave took the Fletchling by surprise and knocked it out. Cana watched the feral laying on the ground, panting a bit from using the attack.

The electric type breathed heavily a bit, nearly falling back over.  she looked back over at the tree she flew into, and notices a dull red on the ground.  Walking over to it, Arashi recognized it as an apple.  Needing the energy, she started munching on the fruit quickly, ready to regain her strength.  Feeling rejuvenated, the Pokemon jumped with joy.  However, that cheerfulness was soon washed away when she saw a large light flicker around her.  She turned around and saw it was Cana causing the heat wave.

Arashi then ran back over to the Fennekin, who just seemed to finish her own battle with the flying type.  Although she knew that the Fletchling was a feral Pokemon, the Shinx couldn't help but feel bad for it.  Probably because her partner on Team Firefly was the same species.

"Have any trouble with that Pokemon?"  The Shinx said, still a bit tired from her last battle.  "Reckon we should move on for now.  Don't know what else might jump us."

Cana was relieved the Fletchling seemed to have been knocked out. Maybe the attack had been a bit too strong. Some of the feathers of the bird seemed to be scorched. It didn't seem like the bird wasn't going to be able to fly when it woke up so that was a relief to her. Cana noticed something laying a bit further. As she picked it up, she realized it was a purple gummi. The Fennekin wasn't sure what to do with it and just put it in her bag. Maybe someone would like that.

The Fennekin looked up when she heard a familiar voice. She shook her head as an answer to the question Arashi asked her. Cana did manage to defeat the Fletchling after all. She took a deep breath. Cana was completely fine. The attack only had taken more from her than she thought it would.

Cana agreed that it was not a good idea to stay here. The sound of battle might have attracted some more ferals. The two of them could not fight them all forever. "I guess we should go, but....What way?" She asked the shinx. The Fennekin did get herself lost and she didn't know were to go. She was hoping Arashi could lead the way.

The Shinx smiled, happy to hear that her acquaintance was still feeling fine after taking out the Fletchling.  She looked around, attempting to stare through the dense, white fog.  Right now, her eyesight was good, but it wasn't strong enough to see that well in the thick haze.  Thankfully, her nose could make up for the hindrance.

"Well, any way we go is fine, as long as it doesn't lead is directly into a tree or wall."  Arashi chuckled heartily, and sniffed the air around themselves.  It didn't seem like there was anything out there, besides the ground and the mist surrounding the duo.  So, the electric type turned quickly, and started heading off in that direction.  "This should do.  As I said, doesn't matter, as long as we don't bump our heads into some mysterious object hiding in the fog."

Cana looked at Arashi. The Shinx was rather positive but wasn't she a bit too positive? The Fennekin was starting to wonder if going with her was such a good idea. "I guess so..." Cana murmered. The Fennekin didn't really have a choice but to follow behind the Shinx. She got herself lost and Arashi might be the only one who could help her out.

Cana came here to explore so she didn't really mind exploring with the Shinx. She hoped that Arashi wasn't as lost as she was and would be able to guide them out of the dungeon later. Cana also rather didn't run across any more ferals. Fighting wasn't that easy with the mist surrounding them. The mist seemed perfect for an ambush. Cana shuddered and pushed those thoughts away. She shouldn't worry that much.
