First topic message reminder :

Pterra
Energy: 31 - 25 (entrance) = 6
Items in Use: Joy Ribbon

Pterra flapped his way into the island high above the clouds. The island radiated light and some sort of power; and not a lot of pokemon knew anything at all about the so-called 'Sky Pyramid,' mostly because only flying pokemon could go there. And of the flying pokemon that lived in the Floating Islands, not many were brave or strong enough to adventure into the powerful unknown that was the island.

So Pterra was wandering into mostly unexplored places. But this did not bother the cackling outlaw at all. As far as he was concerned, it was the best place to lose any pursuers. Though he doubted that the coward Tropical would dare follow him here. After all, the Tropius was a well-known pacifist and thus easy to take advantage of. That was why Pterra had targeted him, after all. The best victims to outlaws like Pterra were the pokemon who were unable or unwilling to fight back.

Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra   Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 EmptyThu Dec 10, 2015 3:13 am

Varda tilted his head as the other Pokémon spoke, unsure if he was believing his ears. Maybe he didn't want to believe, as Pterra was his friend – well, they were friends in the bird's eyes at least, and he didn't really consider that  the Aerodactyl might think differently. But… Pterra didn't seem like he was lying, or just making a joke. He waited for a while to see if the Pokémon would falter and maybe laugh it off, but… Nothing. Pterra was… Serious? It was a delayed reaction, but finally Varda looked shocked.

"No, no you don't!" The bird objected when the Aerodactyl claimed to be someone who did bad things just for fun, just so others would feel bad! That wasn't like Pterra at all!
"You're a nice Pokémon," he added, seemingly managing to have at least convinced himself with his own words, looking much calmer. Yes, that was it. Maybe Pterra just didn't understand it yet.

Items in Use: Joy Ribbon
Inventory:
-Aerodactylite (2 charges)
-Oran Berry (4)
-Grey Gummi (2)
-Reviver Seed (1)
-Heavy Box

Pterra stared at the altaria, uncomprehending at the complete idiocy and innocence the pokemon was displaying to him. Pterra growled in frustration. "You have some really skewed sense of 'nice', then," he grumbled. "Look, what do you think is a bad pokemon, then?" he demanded of Varda.

"Seriously, what does it take to convince you that I'm not your friend, you giant pile of useless fluff?" Pterra asked in exasperation.

Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra   Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 EmptySun Dec 13, 2015 9:40 am

Varda blinked at the strange questions, really thinking about them hard. A hmmescaped his beak as he tilted his head, concentrating really, really hard… And it was hard to say. What was a bad Pokémon?
"Well… I guess bad Pokémon don't help others ever!" He nodded a couple of times. Pterra had helped him, so clearly he couldn't be a bad Pokémon. And maybe there was more…
"And… They would have a mustache! That they would twirl. And they would kidnap innocent Pokémon, tie them up and leave them in the way of a Tauros stampede! Oh no!" The Altaria continued, clearly getting into this too much.

"But, everyone can change. I don't know if you are truly bad if you always have the chance to–" Varda cooed, but his sentence was cut short as he saw a flash in the darkness behind Pterra… And then the same one, heading right towards them!
"Ah! Look out!" He called out to his friend, quickly hopping over the Aerodactyl with the aid of his wings and getting in the way of an odd flaming bird that collided into his chest.

Pterra brought his wing claw to his face at the words spilling out of the altaria's mouth. Was this pokemon serious?! Well, it was clear that Varda was taking his sarcasm seriously. Apparently this pokemon was touched in the head or something.

He had to scoff at the altaria's next words though. Seriously, how dense could one pokemon be?
"Listen to my words," he said very seriously to the pokemon, but before he could continue, the altaria let out a cry and dodged around him, taking a hit from a large fire bird who had been aiming at his back.

Pterra stared in shock. "Why did you do that you idiot?!" he exclaimed in exasperation, and let out a whoosh of blue flames at the fletchinder, pushing it back away from the two pokemon.

Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra   Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 EmptyMon Dec 14, 2015 8:33 am

Varda winced as the flames from the other bird touched his body, the tips of his white fluff singed black – and some even seemed to catch on fire! But it was alright. He was heavier and bigger than the other bird, so a surprising collision like that had managed to knock it back and cause the flames to disperse without it being able to hurt his friend! At least for now. The Altaria flapped his wings and landed on the ground, still staying between the Aerodactyl and the hostile bird. But even though he tried to protect Pterra, even though he had spread his wings… The Aerodactyl just was so much bigger than him that it must have looked quite funny for him to try to protect the Pokémon.

"Um… So that you don't get hurt?" The bird cooed while tilting his head as his friend suddenly exclaimed in shock, wanting to know his motives. The blue flames that shot out of the Aerodactyl easily went over the shorter Altaria's head, hitting the fire bird and pushing it back. Varda decided to chime in and quickly shoot a beam of enemy at the bird as well, to show that they were so much stronger together and nothing should attack them anymore!

Pterra spluttered at the next words from the altaria's mouth. "You still don't get it, do you?" he said, following the altaria as it shot a beam of light at the fletchinder, who now seemed very angry that its ambush had been thwarted.

It flew at the two pokemon, shrieking angrily, its entire body engulfed in fire. Pterra had to stop his conversation with Varda to avoid the screaming fletchinder narrowly. Even though he avoided getting hit directly, the flames were close enough to singe and burn the delicate membranes of his wings.

Pterra growled through the pain, landing on the floor of the pyramid, and crouching over from the burns on his wings. He snarled under his breath and shot the fletchinder a glare, that, if he'd been psychic, would have been enough to make the fire bird faint right then and there.

Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra   Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 EmptyTue Dec 15, 2015 2:40 am

"Umm… No?" Varda chirped with a slightly tilted head as he took a few steps aside, not really understanding what Pterra wanted to talk about now. It wasn't the best place to talk honestly, the little bird that was attacking them was quite relentless. It certainly was quite fast in its movements, but that was probably to be expected. It sure looked like a speedy little Pokémon…

Unfortunately, while he was thinking, the other bird managed to dash at the Aerodactyl, and hit! Not directly like he had been, the burning sensation still feeling on his chest, but hit nonetheless! Varda let out a chirp in surprise, quickly hopping over to Pterra and making sure he was between the flaming bird and his friend before something bad could happen again!

The other Pokémon certainly looked to be hostile! It didn't give up even though there were two Pokémon against it, and they both had attacked it. In a way, the Altaria didn't feel good about attacking it, as it was outnumbered… But there was no other way to make it leave, was there? Varda felt his throat get warmer as he shot out another Dragon Pulse at the bird.

Pterra shook his head in frustration. There didn't seem to be a way to get across to the altaria that he wasn't the damn dragon-type's friend; that he was an outlaw and that he did bad things on purpose, for goodness sakes! What Pterra didn't realize was that though he tried to be an outlaw, he wasn't really that bad of a pokemon, and this innocent altaria could see the good that was still inside him, from a long time ago, before Pterra's own innocence was shattered.

The fletchinder fell back as a second beam of light struck him from Varda's mouth. This time, it stayed down for longer than a minute, and when it got back up, it was visibly hurt. But it still did not halt its attack, flying at the altaria with a shriek of anger. There was something else to this confrontation, that neither pokemon were realizing.

PostSubject: Re: Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra   Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 EmptyTue Dec 15, 2015 3:57 pm

Varda narrowed his eyes, trying to look more serious. He was a bit worried as the other bird fell down and just… Laid down there for a moment, unmoving – but it did seem to be breathing? Still, he couldn't help but take a few steps closer, taking a look to make sure that nothing was too wrong. Varda couldn't help but feel guilty, as he really didn't want to fight. None of them had really done anything that made them deserve something like this…

Suddenly, the other bird got back on its feet, hurt but not deciding to stay in one place. When it flapped its wings and raised into the air, the Altaria hoped that it would just fly away and leave them be. But he wouldn't be so lucky. Instead, it charged at Varda again, building up speed as it got closer. There was nothing else the blue bird could do except fluff up his feathers to protect himself from the attack and brace for impact.
"Stop it!"

The fletchinder cried out at Varda, "NOOO! YOU CAN'T BE HERE! YOU HAVE TO GO AWAY!!!" Then it started to peck at the altaria in a crazed manner.

Pterra shook his head and dove at the fletchinder, fangs crackling with electricity. The fletchinder dodged the aerodactyl, and shot flames at him. Pterra fell back with a cry of pain as the flames seared his already-burned wings.

He growled angrily as he pushed himself up from the ground, again. "Alright, I've had about enough of you," he snarled at the fletchinder, and made to attack him again.

Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra   Ptricking the Pterrible Pterra - Page 2 EmptyWed Dec 16, 2015 1:48 am

Varda blinked when the other Pokémon actually… Answered. While the bird wasn't doing what he asked and was still attacking, that meant it couldn't be feral, right? At least completely feral. Those Pokémon didn't tend to speak – though sometimes the Altaria did wonder if they just spoke a different language. In this case, the language wasn't going to be an issue.

The smaller bird pecked at him, and Varda didn't really do anything. The other bird seemed to be much faster, but he had already prepared himself for it, so… It didn't really hurt that much, to be honest. He was kind of built for taking the hits, it seemed! But while he was content at letting himself get attacked, Pterra rushed in – and unfortunately, the smaller bird retaliated quickly, knocking the Aerodactyl to the ground.

"Ah, Pterra, be careful!" The bird chirped at his friend so he would hopefully calm down and stand back, as he got this! Maybe. At least it was better than seeing his friend get thrown around.
"Um… Why should we go away?"

"MUST PROTECT EGGS!" The fletchinder screeched at Varda before pecking at the aerodactyl, who had still not gotten out of the way.

Pterra growled low in his throat. He didn't care about some fire bird's eggs, he just wanted to get out of this crazy pyramid, now that his pursuer had caught up to him.

"MUST PROTECT THEM! CAN'T LET THEM DIE AGAIN!" The fletchinder was clearly upset at the thought of losing its eggs, as if it had experienced such a tragedy before and could not take the thought of it happening again.

Pterra screeched back at the fletchinder, "I don't CARE about your stupid eggs, you dumb pile of feathers and ash!"

Varda blinked. It all… Made sense now. They had been too hasty, assuming that the other bird was attacking them because it was aggressive, when in reality… There was another reason for it. The Altaria stopped and didn't move or say anything. It was all a great big misunderstanding, in the end. And even though Pterra was being a little rude, he was right.

"Um, that's right," the bird nodded, looking at the hostile Pokémon,
"We're not here for eggs. We don't um, even know where the eggs are. So… We won't be a problem at all," he continued, no longer up for a fight himself. Even though the Aerodactyl was getting pecked, but… Well, Varda hoped that Pterra could handle it until the other bird stopped.

The fletchinder stopped its pecking as it backed away a little, peering at the altaria suspiciously. "How do I know you're not just pretending so you can turn around and eat my precious babies?!" it demanded. Now that it was no longer screeching like a maniac, its tone was lower and more identifiable as a male's voice.

Pterra growled under his breath. He was tired of dealing with this situation. "I assure you that if I wanted to eat your eggs, I would have already knocked you out and eaten them and been on my way by now," he growled at the fletchinder.

The fire bird squawked irritably, flapping its wings and sending a scattering of embers at the aerodactyl for his rudeness. "Never in my life have I met any'mon as rude as you!" the fletchinder screeched.

Pterra rolled his eyes. "Oh, sorry, I must have offended your delicate sensibilities," he said sarcastically. "I'm leaving."

With those words, he spread his wings and took off down one of the corridors leading out of the room, not caring if Varda followed him or not.

Varda perked up when the smaller bird seemed to be listening, stopping its attack and giving them some room. He didn't seem to have quite convinced the Pokémon yet, but… But they'd get there eventually, of that he was sure! He wasn't given the chance to reply just yet, as Pterra had decided to chime in first. That… Wasn't really the best way to handle it, but he supposed that would have been true. Maybe. The Pokémon here seemed to be quite strong – or so he assumed after seeing how easily the ghost had dealt with Pterra.

"Um… Yes! I don't eat eggs. I came from an egg, that would be… Pretty weird!" The Altaria chirped after a moment of silence, spreading his wings a little as he explained. He hardly looked like someone who would eat eggs, right? And, well, the Aerodactyl wouldn't do anything like that. He was sure of that too, because Pterra was nice – even if he was being called rude. But that was okay, because he didn't mean to be rude.

"So your eggs are safe! I um, have to go with my friend now, so nothing bad happens to him either," Varda continued, glancing behind him to see that the Aerodactyl was already one his way. With a quick nod to the other bird, he hurried over to Pterra.
