Interdimensional RP (Again) Empty
PostSubject: Interdimensional RP (Again)   Interdimensional RP (Again) EmptyThu Aug 13, 2015 3:35 am

The air was hot and muggy, the humidity practically palpable, but on top of that, there was a smell to it. Wafting through the area was the fairly noticeable smell of something rotting, decaying; bad meat haphazardly cooked by the sun. Like roadkill left on the side of the road, frying on the pavement. It smelled like death.

And really, really cheap convenience store coffee. Which, frankly, was almost more worrying to Aaron as he came too, pushing his face off the ground with a groan. The mage blinked for a moment and glanced back and forth, more confused than before when he noticed where he was. As far as he could remember, he hadn't conked out in some cheap 24/7 gas station convenience store. He was pretty sure he was supposed to be back at his own apartment, resting in the cool, crisp, New York City autumn air. Obviously, that same description couldn't describe where he had woken up.

Making a mental checklist of his own priorities, he stood up and wandered over to a counter for step one of 'What to do When You've Woken Up in a Strange Place': coffee. Leaning up against the counter, he grabbed a paper cup tossed to the side and popped out the various bumps in it, before pushing it under the coffee machine and hitting the button. Of course, nothing came out. He blinked, confused, before looking down to the ground. All the coffee from the machine had already been spilled out, sitting on the ground.

"Right. Of course." He grumbled, tossing the cup aside and making his way towards the door. The whole store was pretty trashed, shelving thrown aside, products thrown everywhere, coffee on the floor. And there wasn't a single person in sight. That was definitely out of the ordinary. Or maybe it wasn't, considering the whole situation didn't seem ordinary to begin with. Upon reaching the door, Aaron pressed it open and stepped outside, feeling his feet splash in some sort of liquid. That wasn't really his first concern, though. His first concern was the scene before him, just outside the gas station.

Wherever he was, it was a city, but it sure as hell wasn't New York. The sun was high in the air, illuminating the streets with ease, revealing the carnage that had taken place. Parked and crashed cars lined the sides of the streets, some even flipped over, the glittering remnants of shattered glass laying in clumps around the wrecks. Smoke was rising into the air from a couple different locations, the small plumes looking like they were only the dying remains of a fire. But the most worrying thing of all to him, really, was the lack of any people around. Nobody was outside, nobody was around. No sirens could be heard from emergency service trucks. It was all dead air.

Carefully stepping through what he had identified as gas from the station he was standing by, and making sure to avoid the wrappers, papers, cigarettes and other such trash that littered the ground by the station, Aaron made his way out to the middle of the street. He looked both ways as he searched for any signs of life. Nothing, no matter which way he looked. With a frown, the mage sighed and rubbed the back of his head.
"Alright...step two, then. Where the hell am I?" He muttered, completely aware that nobody was around that would hear him. Still, verbalizing his thoughts was a sort of habit he'd made for himself in the past few years.

To the right just seemed to be more road and buildings on the side, but to the left, there was a four-way intersection. Something he felt he could work with, he turned that way and began to walk, resting a hand on the grip of his Luger that he'd stuck in his pocket. The sights of ruined storefronts and the smell of the whole area made it clear; something bad had gone on. Obviously. Aaron wasn't exactly about to take any chances.

Finally reaching the intersection, the mage took a good look around at where he was. There was a fairly intact restaurant on one of the corners of the intersection, and in the distance were several larger buildings, the kinds you'd see in a big city. Something about the area seemed to instigate a bit of deja vu in Aaron, but he wasn't making the connection just yet.

Before he could take another step further, or even think, there was a loud, booming sound as the ground shook, nearly throwing Aaron off balance as he pivoted around, looking back the way he had come from. What once had been the gas station he'd woken up in was now just a pillar of flame, debris having flown out into the street as a dark, thick plume of smoke rose into the air, nearby cars thrown into the streets with their alarms going off. And there, in the seconds that followed, was when the moaning started. From all around, the alleyways, shops, buildings, everywhere. There was a chorus of pained groaning and grumbling, coming from what had to be all around the intersection, stil managing to be heard over the car alarms going off down the road. To Aaron, they were familiar sounds, but not ones that he had ever hoped to hear again.
"Oh...oh, no. You've gotta be shitting me..." He spoke in a quiet panic, pulling his Luger out from his pocket and glancing around, holding it at the ready and whipping it around as he tried to keep his eyes on everywhere he could, not wanting to get caught off guard as he backed towards the middle of the four-way intersection.

((In case you wanted to know, instead of starting off in some hub world, we're starting off in Aaron's. So, you can wake up wherever, carry on. As a note, the posting style we'll be using is no posting order, but everyone posts once after I do.))

Interdimensional RP (Again) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional RP (Again)   Interdimensional RP (Again) EmptyThu Aug 13, 2015 7:58 am

((Note: Only dialogue in Neon Green can be understood as it's the translation Harv is speaking))

The whispers of the empty wind woke him. His eyes opened to see a brilliant blue sky with a sun that blazed down on him though he could not feel himself actually burning under it. He blinked a haze away from his eyes, where was he? What had happened?

He was laid out on the ground he realized, he pulled himself up to a Indian Style sitting position. He gave his head a shake to clear it, feeling as if he had been asleep for quite a while. Was it even sleep or was he forcibly knocked out? He figured knocked out was a better reason than suddenly deciding to take a nap on the concrete. Whatever, there were more important manners he should be addressing. Like figuring out where he was.

His eyes scanned the landscape before him, this rather ravaged looking area looking quite unfamiliar to him. He took a deep breath, only to have a disgusting scent drift into his nose. Over there, a corpse, somehow he wasn't fazed by it. Why?

That's right, he had been a part of a special military unit had he not? He had seen plenty of those. At least he vaguely remembered one. He was wearing the clothes of one too. Although why was he a part of a special one? There were holes in his memories, that was obvious to him. Why were there holes in his memories? The last thing he remembered, what was it? Right, he was being sent on some mission with someone. Who though? Wait...he had a weapon...did he not?

He looked around him, spotting the weapon he vaguely remembered just within arm's reach in the grass nearby. The long smooth dark pole with a silver blade at the end, a scythe it was called. He reached out for it, grabbing onto it and bringing it close to him. He felt a bit...safer with this near him. That was good.

He had been on a sidewalk near a garden that must have been for the purpose of making the street look nicer, no blood near him or not him luckily. The buildings, they looked rather old fashioned...They weren't made of chromium they seemed to lack something that he could not put his finger on. They looked slightly ruined too, there was debris all over the roads, and crashed vehicles. The smell assaulted his nose but he paid it no mind.

He should get up. Using his scythe as a sort of staff, he lifted himself from the ground. His fingers brushed against an odd protrusion from the scythe, a button. He pressed it.

"Booting Up" the feminine voice startled him as a small thin screen popped out from the scythe's side, supported by a sleek black ledge that it was bonded to. The screen held a circle made up of squares, each square lighting up in a pattern in a clockwise position. The circle faded, and the words 'welcome' appeared on the screen before the feminine voice spoke again, "Welcome Back, Harvey Arden."

The words flipped upward and off screen, before a menu appeared before him. Yes, this was familiar, he could work this this still despite his gaps in memories. This thing had features on it, things he could make it do. He spoke up, "GPS."

"Booting GPS, Please wait while I locate you" another loading screen with the words 'please wait' on the screen. Just a moment, and he'd know where he was. Right? Wrong. An error appeared on the screen in red text, "Could not locate you, please check with the Weaponry Maintenance Staff for troubleshooting. Would you like to connect with Weaponry Maintenance Staff now?"

Error? How could there be possibly be an error? He figured that it must have been a bit roughed up in some fight he was in or something.

"Affirmative," he spoke. The loading screen once more with the words 'please wait' yet again. Another error sign.

"Could not connect with Weaponry Maintenance Staff, please try again later." the weapon spoke.

Guess he was on his own. Perhaps a satellite was under maintenance? Either way, he was not completely reliant on his technology. He could find things out himself. He took a step forward, then another one. It was silent, only his footsteps to be heard. The scythe hung over his shoulder, the small interface having retracted back into the scythe.

What had happened here? Questions echoed in his mind as he walked along the sidewalk. There were strange letters on signs, ones he could not stick meaning to. Was he in a different country than his own? What was his own even called? He needed to find a person. He knew that. People could help him return to headquarters. They would be able to help his memory and bugged weapon, then everything would be fine again.

More corpses, was a war fought on civilian territory? Was that not accepted around the world as illegal?

He passes another corpse silently, having entered an alley in hopes of checking the next street, and-oh! He spotted a person not too far off as he exited the alley. Male, blonde hair, rather strange choice of attire. Was he trying to make a some retro fashion comeback or something? Definitely a civilian.

He's about to call out to the lone person, but the ground suddenly shakes as a plume of smoke erupts into the air in the distance. The old fashioned vehicles are flying in the air, blaring their noisy alarms as they enter panic mode. Annoying.

He hears sudden groaning and moaning echoing over the sounds of the alarms, there were more civilians? They sounded as if they were in pain or sickly, had some plague struck the city as well as a war? Was not biological warfare also banned or was this some naturally occurring plague he had not yet heard of? He hoped he would not get infected with whatever that was.

The healthy looking civilian, he needed to speak with him. He needed to find out where he was and get back to the base.  He looked back to the civilian, to find that he was now holding and waving around the strangest looking weapon Harvey had ever seen, at least as far as he remembered. Was he a part of the military after all or did they allow civilians to arm themselves in this country? Either way, it was the first person he had seen, best course of action was to speak with him. The civilian seemed nervous however, perhaps thieves were common here or something?

"Hello," he spoke out to the civilian, keeping a hand on his scythe in case he decided to do something with the strange weapon. He was completely oblivious to the oncoming danger that the civilian was cautious of, probably since what was occurring was only something he had seen on the limited amount of television he had watched.

Interdimensional RP (Again) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional RP (Again)   Interdimensional RP (Again) EmptyThu Aug 13, 2015 10:32 am

The sun's harsh light filtered through the branches of the tree beneath which a young woman lay, the shade provided by the plant protecting her from a good portion of the heat. Dappled sunlight that peeked through the leafy cover seemed to bring her into some semblance of wakefulness as the woman's facial features scrunched up at the intrusion of the light.
Eyes of golden amber blinked open, blearily trying to match her surroundings with the memories of before she'd fallen asleep. Her thoughts were quickly tossed aside however as the next sensation to grace Nieve's consciousness as she awoke was a the distinct pain of a headache.

"Geez. That must have been some party," an auburn haired woman sat up with a groan of discontent, holding her head as if that were the cause of all her problems. She couldn't for the life of her remember falling asleep, or drinking any alcohol for that matter, but it wasn't as if her crew weren't familiar with partying so as the most likely conclusion, that was what she had jumped to.
Running her fingers through her hair, she dislodged a few leaves and shards of bark from her locks as she attempted to tame them into something presentable. She paused however, re-evaluating her situation with new information as her amber eyes finally took in her surroundings.

"... or not," she amended her previous statement.

Examining her head pain, she decided that maybe it didn't really feel like hangover pain after all,  more like someone had hit her on the back of the head and knocked her out... or something. Except there was no one around to claim responsibility. Not even her crewmates; her friends.

The last thing she could remember was being on the Summer Snow with everyone else, but she definitely wasn't there now.

Gently re-examining her head, Nieve checked to see if whatever had hit her had broken the skin, but upon finding no blood she was satisfied that she was probably fine. The pain already seemed to be subsiding if she was honest so instead of dwelling on it, she turned her attention to other matters. Patting herself down, she realised that she still had everything she'd had yesterday, including her eternal pose. There was only one thing missing, which caused Nieve to leap to her feet.

She couldn't lose that of all things.

Her brief panic was interrupted when something else hit her in the head. Blinking and looking up, her expression brightened when she realised the very thing she had just lost had really been here all along. Her nodachi, Ran'un, hung haphazardly from one of the branches of the tree that had shaded Nieve in her unconsciousness. As confusing a development as that was in itself, Nieve wasted no time shifting forms and fluttering up into the tree's branches as a mockingbird, before returning to human form once she found a perch.

Dislodging Ran'un from the tree, Nieve checked the sword over for any damage, unsheathing it to examine it's blade. Satisfied now that she and her possessions were back together, Nieve re-sheathed her sword and sat cross legged on the tree branch, balancing it across her lap as she used the high vantage point to get a good look at where she actually was. It really was a lifeless looking place. The buildings around her seemed to be in ruins, and was that a dead body half way up the street? She shivered at that thought and looked away to evaluate her own situation.

Nieve assumed that whatever bump on the head she had received was likely from falling out of the tree that Ran'un had been in, if the leaves that had been in her hair earlier were anything to go by. Though that was one mystery solved, she still had no idea how she'd gotten here to be in this tree in the first place, or how she was going to get back to Shiori and the rest of the crew for that matter.

Nieve was still considering her options when the sound of a large explosion jarred her from her thoughts. Immediately standing to attention, Nieve leaped down from the tree and jogged out onto the street, watching the cloud of smoke from the explosion billow into the sky above the rooftops. Multiple loud shrieking noises suddenly filled the air, similar in pitch but not all identical. It was actually a rather painful noise to the ears and it took Nieve a moment to adjust to the odd sound.

Shifting once again, Nieve took on her half-mockingbird form and spread her wings. Grasping a sheathed Ran'un tightly, she pushed off the ground and into the air. From her new birds eye view, she could spot where the explosion had gone off and noted that the streets in the area seemed to converge at a sort of intersection. At said intersection was - holy crap - something alive and not dead or ruined like the streets around her.

Just as she spotted the blond person and began to head towards him, he took on a cautious stance, eyes alert and his gun out as if ready to attack anything that came near. Hovering above the intersection, Nieve hesitated trying to talk to him when her attention was brought to the odd groaning sound in the area. She couldn't quite pinpoint whereabouts it was coming from either.

Her eyes flitted about the area, trying to gauge the source of the blond's distress when a voice drew her attention to a second individual. She hadn't understood what he'd said, the word going over her head much like when Shiori would start talking in Northern, but he was carrying some sort of scythe. Was he the reason? No, he couldn't be. The white haired guy was only one person, and the blond wasn't even focused on him. It made no sense.

Interdimensional RP (Again) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional RP (Again)   Interdimensional RP (Again) EmptyWed Aug 19, 2015 10:10 pm

[Having some trouble with my new laptop so my whole post isn't here, but I'm posting what's done because its got everything you guys need to go on. Sorry this took so long ^^']

(Shay and Renee were walking down the street and it was a lot of fun and then stuff happened and then Shay was in a different place that was dirty and run down and then zombies and help.)

(The forest was a very foresty forest. As a matter of fact, it just may have been the most foresty forest that Shay had ever been in. You know the type. Trees. Berries. Bushes. Green stuff. That sort of thing.

But yeah, Orion was there too. There were on their way to Eterna when this one guy jumped out and
)

(Anyways, back on track)

"Alright, this damn city had better be close."  a male voice grumbled irritatedly, trudging past the muddy outgrown roots of the large trees surrounding them. There were fallen leaves strewn in haphazard patterns on the muddy trail in front of them; leaves most likely shed by the trees during the battles that trainers waged beneath them. Three gijinka stepped over these leaves as they wandered through the Eterna undergrowth: Orion the Luxray, Nora the Absol, and Shay the Shaymin.

Shay, the youngest of the group (only nine years old), alternated between clinging to Ori's pant leg and Nora's pant leg. She was as well aware as her older companions that they were being chased. They had to creep through untraveled portions of the forest, staying in the thickest accumulations of trees to be safe. Every little noise, every twig breaking, all of them made Shay twitch and wimper. She was terrified. She was terrified of being attacked and terrified of being caught.

Shay knew exactly who was chasing them. She knew her because she was related to the nun that had raised Shay, Sister Marci. Her name was Alduin. Shay knew her as a churchgoer, but she had also heard about Alduin in a different way. A bounty hunter, more ruthless than Ori and

Orion could feel the child clinging to him trembling as they walked, though his eyes remained focused on the path in front of him while his penetrating vision cut through the darkness and undergrowth.

"....Hey...." Orion suddenly [tbc]

--10 minutes before the zombie hoard appears--

A sudden explosion suddenly rocked a small alleyway two blocks away from a certain convenience store. It tore up concrete and parts of the foundations of nearby buildings, causing plants and flowers to spring up from where the devastating blast had ripped up the man-made creations and nourished the ground. In the middle of the new growth lay a small child, no more than 9 years old. She was awake, but dazed and barely functioning. All the energy seemed to have been sapped out of her little body, so much so that even breathing had become a laborious task for her. The girl, Shay, could hardly even process what had just happened to her. The only thing she really knew was that the Seed Flare had activated, but something was different this time...

Shay forced herself to blink a few times and look around, but her vision was still dark and clouded. She was tired, very tired, and all she really wanted to do was take a long nap. As she felt her consciousness fading in and out, she could feel a pressure around her ankle. Her heart jumped with fear and sunk with sadness all at once as she felt herself being drug away from wherever she was precariously. She had been captured, probably by Alduin. Shay had no idea what had happened to Ori and Nora; her heart twinged with pani and defeat as she thought about them. The added stress forced her body into submission, and Shay suddenly passed out from exhaustion.

As the zombie hoarde advanced on it's three victims, there was something noticeably different to be seen about one of the zombies in the middle-front of the crowd. The rotting corpse drug another body along behind it, one with healthy looking skin and striking green hair easily spotted from a distance. The small figure wore a white dress and had what looked to be impossibly large, pink flowers on the sides of its head, seen only if the onlooker looked close enough. The form was limp, putting up no fight against it's captor, however the weight of it seemed to be slowing the zombie down. For some reason, the zombies seemed to be more interested in the other humans than they did the figure being dragged along with their masses.

PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional RP (Again)   Interdimensional RP (Again) EmptyFri Aug 21, 2015 4:09 am

You're responsible for all of them now. They'll all be counting on you. Don't let them down...

Go... GO!

I'll kill him...

I can't help you after this...

You have to leave...

Kill him...

Counting on you...

Let him down...

GO!

She lurched forward with a snarl, her eyes wide and wild. Her forehead suddenly struck glass and she fell back into her seat. With a growl, she sat up straight and lashed out. A loud trumpet rang in her ears and she sat back again, folding over her ears and pressing her hands over them.

She sat down and took a moment with her eyes closed. She felt cramped, her legs curled up against her chest. Opening her eyes, it seemed to her she was trapped in some sort of cage. A tiny prison. Only, what fool made a prison of glass? Pure idiocy.

The ranger reared back and slammed her feet into the glass in front of her. It shattered, but wouldn't break. Horns and loud, shilling shrieks filled the air. Surely, someone would hear and come in a moment. She frowned and furrowed her brow. What sort of enchantment was this? She kicked again, and the glass still remained.

"Star's Light!" she swore, kicking once more. This time, something seemed to pop and the glass jutted forward, though still whole. Devilry, to be sure. Mira crawled to the opening and fell upon cold stone. Light shone in her eyes. She recoiled and covered her eyes. The light pulsed on and off, seemingly in time with the infernal sirens.

This foul magic had to be ended.

Mira stood and drew her sword. She began hacking away at the mad prison, feeling glass and steel crunch under blade. She kicked and swiped again and again. Soon, the lights and screeches died slowly. The Fey huffed, hunching over and catching her breath.

As she slowly sheathed her weapon, she scanned her surroundings. Strange, large monoliths rose into the sky. The area was dead silent. A cool breeze blew through her cloak and she shivered. Where was she, and how did she come hence?

She recalled nothing out of the ordinary. A silent night. Stars above. A grassy field. She remembered looking up and admiring the constellation Anar'ii, when suddenly she slept. Now, she was here. Was this the will of the gods?

How strange.

Suddenly, she was tossed off her feet as a flash of light blinded her. As her shoulder crashed into the stone beneath her she yelped with pain. Her ears rang and she lay there in pain until the throbbing slowly subsided. She groaned.

Wait..

She didn't groan.

Something else...

She propped herself up and watched as a slow silhouetted figure shuffled by. Something vaguely human, but not quite. Something familiar. The stench of rotten flesh.

The memories came back. Not again. How could this happen? How could this happen again?

She gripped the pommel of her sword and rose up. By the Light of the Night, she would not allow this treachery to rise forth. She strode forward, a guttural growl rising from deep in her throat as she drew her sword. The abomination lurched towards her with a bloated moan. It's head was quickly severed and it's body crumpled to the ground.

Mira resisted the urge to wretch.

Her ears twitched in the direction of a cacophony of moans...

She had been too late. It had already begun. Damn it all.

She ran around the corner of one of the monoliths and spied a hoard of the monsters. A girl, being dragged. She gritted her teeth. She would not allow this...

She howled and rushed forward into the lurching mob, her blade shining bright and black blood splurting into the air as numbers of the horrors fell before her.

Interdimensional RP (Again) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional RP (Again)   Interdimensional RP (Again) EmptyFri Aug 21, 2015 11:04 pm

The sights, sounds, smell of it all. Everything was beginning to fall back into place as the mage looked around. Inside, he knew where they were, but he knew that by all rights it should be impossible. After all, he'd been there a year ago, and it was pretty obvious that after what happened the city should have been nonexistent. For the moment, he put the option of possible being back there out of mind and tried to come up with some other location he could possibly be in. Some other place it could be, any sort of reason...

"Hello"

"Ohmygodwhatthehell" Aaron sputtered out and practically jumped out of his skin as he whipped his weapon around, aiming it at the...somewhat strange person that was standing there. The guy seemed human, and he seemed to be on the older side. Honestly, there were only four things that stuck out as weird to Aaron, and even then, it wasn't 'weird' weird. Like, on a scale from a somewhat unusual medical condition to being back in a city that had been wiped out roughly a year or so prior, maybe it wasn't the strangest thing happening at the moment. The guy's eyes were red, and the hair was white, which were fairly usual signs of albinism. The scythe and the language he was speaking...well, Aaron had no real normal explanation for either of those. Maybe it was french or something?

"Man, you really scared me there for a second..." He lowered his Luger and laughed a bit, a strain audible in his voice as he shook his head. Maybe the whole situation wasn't one to be laughing in, but hey. It felt like a good way to cope with everything going on at the moment, even as the foul smell of the creatures that had overtaken the city began to intensify.

At this point, they were coming from practically everywhere. Crawling out from the alleyways, shambling down the street, staggering out of the stores and buildings, anything. Luckily, though, the main hoard of them seemed to only be occupying one street at the moment. The other roads leading out of the four-way intersection seemed to be relatively clear, with a couple of zombies roaming here and there. One of the ones at the front seemed to be dragging...

...what?

Aaron had to squint a moment as he made out the figure being dragged, a short, young looking girl with what appeared to be some sort of light green hair, and a white dress. Considering the white clothing, it would have been pretty easy to spot a bite on her if she had been bitten. No part of her clothes seemed to be covered with a heavy enough red to show any signs of that, and she didn't exactly look like she was decaying. If she wasn't one of them, then why were they just dragging her? It didn't make sense, didn't add up. Then again, none of this seemed to be doing any of that.

Especially the howl that seemed to sound from somewhere inside the hoard. The way it sounded, it didn't seem to fit with a zombie, or a Gale even. Whatever kind of horrible, mutated creature was the cause of it, Aaron wasn't sure he wanted to get any closer to the source.

"Uh..." He mumbled as he tried to fumble together some kind of plan. Honestly, the smart thing to do was most likely to run away, but that girl being dragged by the hoard definitely had something up with her. Whatever it was, the zombies didn't seem to want her because of it. Maybe she could help them.
"Screw it. Look, I don't speak what you're speaking. But if you can understand me, we need to get that girl, find a place to hold out for now, and figure out what the hell is going on around here. Not specifically in that order, but most likely in that order." He said to...the guy. That guy with the white hair and red eyes. Whoever he was, he hadn't gotten his name. Scytheguy. Yes. Scytheguy Albino, first and last names. Until further information was given, at least.

Not waiting for an answer from the newly dubbed Scytheguy Albino, Aaron raised his Luger and pointed it into the crowd, the metal of the weapon crackling with electricity as he took the time to aim his shot, pointing the barrel towards the zombie dragging the girl. Trying to be careful, he lined up the shot and took a breath in, oblivious to the girl hovering in the air above the intersection, and the two rotting zombies from the other streets around them that had managed to make their way in, just a couple of feet from the mage and Albino, Scytheguy, arms outstretched and teeth gnashing as they reached for what they probably hoped would be their next meals.

"ياإلهيماذابحقالجحيم"

Was the man's response, Harvey stared at the man, having no clue what he had just said. However what he did react to was that the gun was now pointed at him. His hand flew to his scythe, gripping it at the sudden aggressive action. The language was different, definitely. It flowed more, quickly it seemed. Much more quicker than his own language, or was the man just speaking abnormally quickly? He heard a beep from his scythe, he noticed that the protrusion had ejected from the scythe once more to give information it seemed.

"Alternative Language Detected. Booting up Translation Detection Service. Language Identified. Old English, early 2000's. Retrieving Dictionary. Dictionary Retrieved. Booting Translation Service. Translating..." the scythe's feminine voice spoke as the man spoke again.

"رجل، أنت خائفة حقا لي هناك لثانية واحدة"
'Man, you really scared me there for a second...' the interface wrote. The man was speaking a bit slower, his words were a bit less sharp than his own language. Retroman lowered his strange weapon, causing Harvey to relax slightly however he still kept a hand on it as the civilians grew closer.

There was something almost...sickening about them. This was no normal illness, Harvey looked to the oncoming people, they seemed awfully sickly colored and some seemed to be missing limbs and rather important parts of their face. A memory flashed to Harvey's mind of a man, likely another soldier, who had been blown to bits but still lived to drag himself forward for only a moment before he was put out of his misery. He felt a bit sick in his stomach, a scythe had come down on that man's head, his own. He was almost seeing the man's lifeless body before him rather than a moving zombie. These weren't normal civilians. These couldn't be civilians.

"Uh..." The man started talking again, Harvey looked back to his scythe for the translation, "Screw it. Look, I don't speak what you're speaking. But if you can understand me, we need to get that girl, find a place to hold out for now, and figure out what the hell is going on around here. Not specifically in that order, but most likely in that order."

So this man didn't know what was going on either, he looked to the girl the man was talking about. She was passed out, being dragged, likely young. He was given a mission by this man, question was should he accept it.

"Could not find nearest satellite communication system. Booting Emergency Guidance..." a voice came from his scythe, "Sir," the scythe spoke, "This is your Emergency Global Guidance System, otherwise known as Eggs. I am an emergency system built to provide advice in the place of your superiors should you be unable to contact them. I have analyzed the situation, and the best course of action would be to eradicate the enemies and to follow the man in the vintage."

Harvey stared at his scythe for a moment, however shrugged, an order was an order, and it seemed that for now the strange man would be giving them. Some words appeared on his screen, quickly explaining that they would spell words in his own language that would translate to this 'Old English' this man spoke whenever Harvey spoke.

"Mission Accepted."
"Mission Accepted." he spoke, squinting at the words a bit and tripping on them slightly. To him the words seemed to be saying nothing at all, but he supposed that they would mean something to the other man. Oh well, he supposed it was time to carry out the mission.

The white haired man gripped onto his scythe with both hands, the translator retreating into the scythe. He noticed a strange electricity erupt from the strange man's weapon. How did he do that? Why did that seem familiar? Either way, now was not the time to be thinking about that. He had a task to complete, and these zombies coming towards him seemed to be standing in his way.

With a few quick sweeping motions with the scythe, the reaper sent some rather grotesque heads rolling across the pavement while the bodies simply collapsed where they stood. He felt a hand touch his back, and he used the butt of his scythe to jab behind him and force the body away from him before it did anything. He quickly turned and sliced the zombie in two, before dodging around another with a quick sweep and leaving it to fall to the ground and find itself without legs.

He was being sloppy, why was he being so sloppy? Shouldn't a special unit be better than this? He huffed, decapitating another head before arriving at the zombie holding the small girl. Another few sweeps and suddenly this zombie didn't have limbs nor a head. Harvey's movements were swift, to the point, and deadly. The groans of the zombies seemed troubled, as if angered. It took Harvey a moment to realize...these things were slow. He blinked, he had cleared quite an area with him and the unconscious girl in the center.

Should he pick her up? Was she awake now? If he picked her up he wouldn't be able to swing as well, he thought for a moment before he was about to call out to Retroman to have him pick her up instead while he guards them. However the source of the bloodcurdling howl he had heard earlier's owner was drawing near. Was that an enemy too? The person seemed much quicker and versatile than the strange ones that desired to harm him, the girl, and Retroman. It seemed to be killing the same ones he was killing as well, but that did not mean that it was friendly in the slightest. He brandished his sword, preparing to attack any that drew near the target he was to protect.

"Hey!" he called to Retroman, "Recover, will cover for you," he read from his scythe swiftly before decapitating another zombie. Its head rolled slightly, coming face to face with the small girl if she were to turn her head just to her left...

Interdimensional RP (Again) Empty

Slowly, she carved her way through the mass of shambling corpses. Cold blood spattered against her sword and wetted her hands. Her arm shook with each swing of her blade. Every step she came closer to the girl. As she drew closer, she spied in the crowd a pale stranger, with white hair and red eyes. He fought off the beasts with a scythe. A necromancer who had lost control of his own creations. The foul wretch deserved no better than to be ripped to shreds by his own machinations.

But no harm would come to this child.

Leaping from the throng of shambling bodies, the ranger covered the girl with her cloak and snatched her up with beastial growl. She bared her fangs and snarled at the man, her eyes glowing in the shadows beneath her cowl. Then she ripped her way back into the mass of bodies, holding the girl with one arm, tucked safely in her cloak. She tore through the abominations with great speed, fighting with blade and fang.

Lurching out of the horde, she made for the closest building and lowered her shoulder through the door.
Inside, shelves upon shelves lined the halls, filled with all manner of different things. Mira headed for the back of the building and leapt behind the counter. There, she set the girl down and tried to revive her. She gently shook her and slapped her face a few times, trying to get her to come to.
