PostSubject: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptySun Apr 12, 2015 2:57 pm

First topic message reminder :

Depresso-Expresso Mission Info:

The light levels had dropped tremendously the further one got to the forest, the trees no longer as sparse as they were near the edges. The canopy up above was very thick with barely any holes, not letting much sunlight in. Shadows covered most of the land with even darker splotches behind trees and rocks, perfect hiding spots for whatever might be lurking in the forest. The ground was mostly covered by grass and fallen leaves, there not being enough sunlight for the smaller plant life to prosper next to the large trees' shade. Thanks to the lack of sunlight, the forest also felt quite a bit cooler than one might expect... But the day was otherwise warm, so it wasn't unbearably cold yet.

A strange group of Pokémon walked through the forest. Varda, the little bird, hopped happily along the forest floor and didn't seem to at all mind the dark. By his side was his client, a large and round Blissey with a bag full of all kinds of goods, her eyes determined as she marched on deeper into the forest. It was the Swablu who had originally met the Blissey and heard her request for aid at the Guild, but it seemed like he had caught the attention of an old friend as he was accepting it. Sova from another team ended up tagging along, bringing a new friend with him. Sova had never talked about his teammates, but as it was a team, Varda had always assumed that there had to be other members! It just made sense and he was happy to finally meet someone!

The bird hopped and occasionally turned to look at the newcomer, named Keith. They hadn't had much time to get to known each other back at the Guild before accepting the mission, as the Blissey had urged them along. According to her, the mission was very delicate, very important and very time sensitive, and they didn't have one moment to spare! But while they were walking, the Swablu felt like they were going to be fine...
"Sova actually never told me about you before, Keith! Have you been doing missions together for a long time?"

PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyThu Apr 16, 2015 7:37 pm

Sova moved along as it seemed unanimous that they were done here.  He had no quarrels with coming back the way they came and checking if the two bugs were still warring.  Maybe he'd actually get to hit something then!  Then again, it'd already been made clear to him that he had to be careful about how violent he was on this particular mission, given his allies were a blissey who'd made it her mission to spread happiness to the world.... or something, a jolteon who was already skittish enough as it was, and, well.... Varda.  Surely, none of them would like needless violence.

Keith tried to pretend he was okay with the idea of coming BACK to the violent and dangerous creatures as he followed along with the group.  However, to anyone who had figured out that his fur basically broadcast his emotions, it would be clear by the sounds of static emanating from his body amping up that he'd at least had a change in mood.  In this case, it was for worse rather than better.  He figured he was probably going to be experiencing a lot of mood shifts for worse today....

Upon hearing from the blissey that they weren't near the mission target yet, Sova sarcastically replied, "Oh great."  Honestly, he didn't mind staying here longer, just.... well, he wanted to get this mission over with as soon as possible.  Maybe then the blissey would leave.  He never really was a big fan of those with overly.... cheery attitudes, Varda being the exception.  He turned back to look behind the group for a moment, mostly out of boredom, to see something peculiar.  It appeared a shedinja had taken to silently following them.  He'd experienced pretty much this exact same event before, with a shedinja coming out of nowhere and following him and whom ever he was with for no apparent reason.  Did these things just like stalking random explorers or something?  Regardless, he decided that for now, it would be better to not say anything to the others about this.  He didn't want to spook any of them, Keith in specific, if the shedinja wasn't going to actually attack or do anything to threaten them.

(Varda built it himself.)

PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyThu Apr 16, 2015 8:11 pm

"I'm sure we'll get there soon as long as we keep walking," Varda chirped as he hopped along, his little feet propelling his pudgy body forward rather fast, faster than one might think. He had the opportunity to dash from one side to another and he was showing no signs of growing tired. Doing his best, the bird kept an eye out for anything that looked out of place, peering into the darkness as he walked closer to the shadowy parts of the forest around the group. No movement to the side, it seemed... Which was a pity, but the Blissey had said their target wasn't close yet, so it was to be expected!

As the bird continued to explore the area, he stopped as his feet ended up coming into contact with something... Harder than the grass and dead leaves. It could have been a tiny pebble, but he looked down just in case, brushing some of the leaves aside with his feet. It looked like a seed – and on closer inspection, it indeed was a seed! Varda glanced up, there were lots of trees around them so it was possible that they had dropped seeds on the ground.
"I found a seed! There might be more if you want to take a look," he informed his friends of his find as he looked behind him...

And actually, he saw something else. Behind the rest of the group, there was another Pokémon just... Floating and staring, saying or doing nothing. The Swablu tilted his head as he kept staring back in confusion. This wasn't some Pokemon he knew of. It was floating and it seemed like it could be made of something like wood, was it the Phantump...? No, it didn't look wood enough, so he was sure it wasn't what they were looking for. Besides, the Blissey had said nothing.
"Is that a friend of yours?" Varda asked as he extended a wing and motioned towards the bug thing.

((Built with his own two, uh, feet.))

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 17, 2015 12:38 pm

The two eeveelutions followed along, Sova not wanting to take the lead as it would mean more work and Keith just wanting to stay in the middle, where it was safe.... or, safer, at least.  At the mention of seeds, the jolteon directed his gaze down to the ground under him.  He couldn't really fight well, but maybe he could find useful.... stuff, instead!  He brushed away some leaves in front of him with his paws, not immediately finding anything.  However, as he continued moving away leaves and widening his searched area, he finally found one!  "Hey, I found a....", he began, but he turned his head to see what the swablu had pointed to and, well, it prompted him to just stop talking.

Fear immediately rushed over the jolteon.  That thing, what ever it was, did NOT look like a friend.  Why was it here?  Why was it staring at them??  HOW LONG HAD IT BEEN STARING AT THEM!?  His fur's static noise amped up once more as he backed away slightly, though backing away was kind of pointless since the thing wasn't exactly very close to them in the first place.

Sova had also taken to searching the ground for seeds as well, figuring that perhaps it would be useful to collect some supplies.  However, as Varda pointed out the shedinja, he sighed.  "I don't think that thing is a friend of anyone here.  Honestly, I was hoping no one would notice it, I wanted to keep everyone from worrying if it wasn't necessary.... but since you all see it too now, what do you wanna do?  If you want me to go take care of it, I can do that, or we can just wait and see if it goes away if we ignore it.", he questioned, wondering what the others wanted to do.
He knew that deep down, Keith probably just wanted him to knock it out and relieve the tension, but of course the jolteon wouldn't say that.

He continued searching for seeds as he spoke and waited for the responses of the others.  He wasn't exactly very worried about the shedinja, knowing one well-aimed Shadow Ball would be moer than enough to end its stalking session.  That wasn't exactly what he considered to really be a fight, though, so he didn't care either way.  Just knocking out something that was so weak that it couldn't be a challenge was no fun to him.  He wanted to fight things that he could prove his strength with, things that made him actually have to work to win.  Not.... shedinjas.

Keith hesitated to reply to his leader's question.  As he considered the offer to just knock the thing out, he picked up the seed he'd found and dropped it in his bag, figuring he didn't need to immediately worry too much if no one else was worried.  Finally, he'd actually found something to put in his bag.  Sure, Sova had given him a few things to start him off, but this was the first thing he'd actually gotten to find and keep with his new bag!

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 17, 2015 2:18 pm

Varda kept looking at the strange floating thing that had been following them until the strange sparking noises from behind him caused him to look in the direction of the sound. It was Keith. His fur was full of electricity as it crackled with static, and the Jolteon kept backing away. The bird tilted his head a bit. Was something wrong? Or was Keith just spooked that they had been followed? It was a bit of a spooky thing, he supposed, being stalked like that. And the floating bug Pokémon was in the shadows with only a few slivers of light reaching it to illuminate some of its form, just hanging in the air as if it had been put there and held up by a string.

The Swablu cooed as Sova spoke of the stranger which apparently wasn't anyone's friend. That was... Kind of sad, really. The seed he found was placed in his bag before he started to waddle forward, closer to the strange Pokémon that was making no move to get closer or move further away.
"Well... I'm not sure if we should be hitting Pokémon who haven't done anything wrong," he chirped as he did so, stopping in front of the bug. It was still just... Floating there, staring. If it even had eyes, Varda wasn't even entirely sure about it anymore now that he was so close. He didn't get attacked, at least.

"Hello!" He tried to speak to the thing, but there was no answer. The only thing that was audible was the silence of the forest. The bird looked puzzled as he wondered. What if this Pokémon couldn't talk? What could it do? He had no idea.
"Um... Are you a friend? Or an enemy?" The Swablu tried again, seeing if he managed to get some kind of reaction, but nothing. The thing just kept floating there, gently bopping up and down if one looked closely enough, so it probably was awake – and alive.

"...Well, it could be lonely! Maybe it can join us for a while?" Varda suggested after another silence that stretched on for a while, looking over his shoulder at the rest of his group. Creepy or not, the bug hadn't done anything to him even though he was so close. Maybe it was bored or maybe it really just wanted to be with someone. It couldn't be easy being mute!

((Feetyman. Rip Keith also Varda got a new pet he wants to bring home and keep.))

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptySat Apr 18, 2015 8:22 pm

Sova simply watched as Varda approached the thing that was apparently stalking them, not seeming at all worried about it. Of course, the swablu immediately tried befriending it. Leave it to Varda to find something to be friends with. The swablu then suggested letting it come with them and honestly, he couldn't really disagree. "Well, if we aren't gonna hit it and it isn't gonna talk to us, then we can't really get it to go away anyways. Might as well let it come along.", he replied, not seeming overly happy about this turn of events.
This group was getting too big for his comfort.... He preferred small groups, with just himself and his friends.

Keith watched with a worried look as the swablu went to communicate with the creepy thing. What if it attacked the poor bird suddenly!? To his relief, his worries did not become reality. At least, not for the moment. The creepy creature actually didn't seem remotely interested in attacking. If it was, then it definitely wasn't in any hurry. For a moment, he felt relieved, but of course this was just unacceptable and had to be fixed right away.

The brief relief to the jolteon was replaced by even more dread and worry as it was suggested to let the thing come along. As wrong as he knew it was, he was kind of hoping for Sova to say no, since he didn't have the heart to and knew it was wrong regardless. However, the glaceon didn't seem interested in disagreeing and he knew the blissey who seemed to want to be nice to everyone wouldn't disagree, so it was clear that this thing was likely coming with them. Figuring that at this point his opinion wouldn't do anything but single him out, he didn't bother saying anything. Honestly, he wouldn't have even if he felt it would do anything, but at least now he could reason to himself that it was useless to try, which made it easier.

Sova turned and continued walking along the path they'd previously been on, before stepping on something with one of his paws. He brushed away a few leaves to find a seed, a Reviver Seed. Right.... he'd completely forgotten that there were seeds in the area. He picked up the seed and dropped it in his bag before looking to the left, then to the right as he wondered whether they should stay and collect more seeds or just hurry up and finish the mission.

(God damn it Varda, always bringing home strays. Last time it was a zweilous, now a shedinja. Also wanna end this thread quick since we only need 2 pages for the mission or no?)

PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptySat Apr 18, 2015 10:01 pm

"Weeell, we never asked it to leave," Varda chirped as he glanced at Sova, who was willing to let the bug follow them just because it seemed like it would be difficult to make it leave as they had decided to not attack random Pokémon. They never had asked, so most likely this Pokémon would just leave nicely if requested – at least the bird felt that way, as he already believed the very silent creature to be a very polite and nice person.
"But it's following, so maybe it wants to stick around! The more the merrier, right?" The Swablu smiled as he turned around and started to waddle back to the rest of the group to continue their journey, motioning with his wing to signal the floating bug that it was alright to come.

And indeed, it did start following. It still floated behind the rest in its usual eerie manner that didn't seem to bother Varda at all. The Blissey looked at the Shedinja as she seemingly tried to see if this idea was alright, but... She eventually seemed to calm down and didn't object. The newest addition to the team never seemed to come any closer or start lagging behind, perfectly matching the pace of the rest of the group to keep the same distance throughout.
"Did you find any interesting seeds?" The bird decided to strike a conversation as the forest's silence started to grow boring, looking at both Sova and Keith.

The Blissey suddenly seemed to perk up, as if she had seen something or heard something – or in her case, felt something.
"I... I can feel it! We're getting closer, this is the right way," she told the rest of the group with new-found determination sparkling in her eyes. It seemed to affect the Swablu as well, energized by her enthusiasm as he started to hop faster.

((Can he keep it? Also, I figure that we could find the target soon-ish and then do a little bit of exploration for Keith's sake in-game and for some more egg-hunting out of character. As that's what we are here to do and we have some energy left, hah.))

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptySun Apr 19, 2015 3:54 pm

Keith decided against answering the swablu's question, as he had a very different view and didn't want to lie. He had hoped to just have a small group, specifically made of those who didn't terrify him. Still, he couldn't really rightfully say no when no one else had a problem with it and the shedinja wasn't doing anything wrong, no matter how creepy it was. So the only option in his eyes was to remain silent and abstain from saying anything. He also neglected to say anything on the topic of seeds despite finding one, but that was just because he was uncomfortable with so much talking.

Sova, seeing that his jolteon friend wasn't really participating much in the conversation, decided to try and make up for it. "Yeah-", he began, just as the blissey started talking.
Since seed talk wasn't as important to him as finishing the mission, he didn't really care if the topic was dropped. They were close, great! higher ranking for both their teams and he wouldn't have to keep Keith here too long. He wanted to train the jolteon, not give him a heart attack, after all.

"Great, that means we don't have to stay here too long.", he commented, not seeming nearly as hyped as Varda, but clearly not disappointed either.
He was just happy to be close to completing another mission. Another completed mission meant getting ever so closer to having the highest ranked and undeniably greatest team among the guilds. Sure, it wouldn't be JUST him now, but his teammates were ones that he'd grown to not hate. He had no problem sharing the title with those select few, when he got there.

Keith was relieved to hear that their mission was probably coming to its end soon. That meant they could leave sooner. The less time he had to spend in this place, the better! Both of the eeveelutions willingly sped up along with Varda, neither having any problems with getting the mission done even sooner.

(Fine, but he has to take care of it. Aaand with that out of the way time to roll 500 more times.)

PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptySun Apr 19, 2015 4:41 pm

"Oh, don't you like it here?" Varda chirped as Sova seemed to be happy that they didn't have to stay in the forest for too long. He did look around and supposed that the forest might have been a bit depressing considering how dark it was and how oddly bare everything seemed to be, but... The trees were large, old ones with such magnificent leaves that they managed to block the sun! It was quite amazing in a way and Pokémon had still managed to find a home here.
"I don't think I would like to stay here my whole life, but... I guess it's kind of nice!" The little bird continued happily, clearly not one who was spooked by the forest's strange inhabitants or the enveloping darkness. Or the bug still following them.

As the Blissey seemed to know where to go, she seemed to end up being the one leading the way, their speed restricted by her. Of course she had rather short legs and wasn't the fastest Pokémon alive, but in her determination to finish her life's mission, she did her best.
"…I know that I only asked to be escorted to the Phantump," she ended up speaking in the middle of their walk, her eyes directed forward as she kept an eye where she was going,
"And your job is done when you do and you don't have to do more, but... I honestly don't have any idea how long it will take to cheer him up. I don't want to ask you to stay there until I am done, but I feel like it would be safer if you at least stayed near while I work. I don't think I want any Pokémon to attack us while we're in the middle of something..."

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyMon Apr 20, 2015 7:40 pm

Sova shook his head at Varda's question. "No, it's not that. I'm kinda neutral to this place, but it's.... boring and the sooner we finish this mission, the sooner that gets put on our teams' records.", he explained.
He was always in bit of a hurry when doing missions, as he just wanted to get them done as soon as possible. He wanted it to be put on record that he was slightly better as soon as possible.

Keith still stayed silent, as usual. He just hoped that the group didn't decide to stay longer. Then it seemed like just that had happened when the blissey requested for them to STAY LONGER. He supposed at this point that it would be best it he just got used to this place, since it didn't really seem like they were going to be leaving any time soon. He looked back in the hopes that maybe the shedinja had stopped following them, but he was once more faced with disappointment. It was still there.... still silently following.... at a distance.... saying nothing.

Sova shrugged at the blissey's comment. "Sure, not like we have anything better to do today. This mission is literally all I had planned. Actually, I didn't even really plan it, Varda did.", he replied.
It wasn't too big a deal if he stayed, it was just boring and of course, he didn't want to stress Keith TOO much, since it was the jolteon's first mission. Actually, maybe he did.... If he wanted to help Keith toughen up, this place seemed pretty good. It was both menacing and full of hostile, but still fairly weak pokemon. He could train the jolteon both physically and mentally here.

(Probably not, but they might shed, since they're made of shed skin.)

PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyMon Apr 20, 2015 8:43 pm

Varda felt good that Sova didn't absolutely dislike the place, he just... Found it boring. It was a puzzling statement. The bird looked around them, not really seeing what was so boring about it. Perhaps it was so dark that it was difficult to see very far, but who knew what kind of interesting things would be hidden in the shadows! He was quite hopeful, at least.
"Maybe we could explore this place a bit more... After the mission, of course!" The Swablu offered, hoping that he could help the Glaceon find something interesting in this forest.

"That's right!" He chirped happily when Sova mentioned that this whole mission was actually the bird's idea, of course agreeing with the truth. It had been all him, the one taking the job from the Blissey. He was the one Keith really had to blame for this mission in the end. And of course Varda had nothing against just staying around to make sure the Blissey and the Phantump were fine while they tried to handle their problems, nodding with the Glaceon's words.
"Then it's settled, right? We'll stick around for a while," he giggled happily, though he gave Keith a look as well in case the Jolteon was going to object. This far the timid Pokémon had been quiet, so it was hard to say if he was agreeing or disagreeing...

The Blissey seemed very happy with how everyone seemed to be agreeing with her request, just overcome with joy. In fact, she could have cried, but managed to hold back the tears of happiness as she gave a small, thankful nod instead. It would make it easier for her.
"Just a little bit more," she offered some reassuring words as they continued to walk with their Shedinja buddy still following behind them.

((But if they're made of shed skin and keep shedding it... Will they one day be gone when you try to go check up on them with just some dead skin on the ground?!))

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 24, 2015 8:13 pm

Neither of the eeveelutions were thrilled to have it suggested to stay here even longer, Sova due to the place boring him and Keith due to quite the opposite; being scared. Still, neither of them spoke up against it. Sova really didn't care either way, he didn't really have anything better to do as he'd previously stated. Keith, however, just didn't want to speak against the kind swablu, especially not if his leader wanted to as well.

Upon being questioned on whether or not everyone was in agreement on them staying longer, Keith hadn't planned to answer. However, he noticed that the question seemed to be directed at him, so he gave a slight nod to show that he was in agreement. Even if he really didn't want to, he couldn't just say that. Then the blissey mentioned that they were close, which would have relieved him if he didn't already know they were nowhere near leaving this place. At least completing the mission would mean they wouldn't have to worry about finding the phantump anymore, though.

Having already stated that he was more than willing to stay, Sova decided not to repeat himself. He was happy to see Keith at least making an effort to interact, albeit not verbally. He wasn't sure if he was perhaps imagining it, but he was noticing a lot of very thin webbing in the area, more and more as they walked along, barely being visible for short moments as rays of sunlight glinted through the trees. Just as he was about to speak up about it, he heard a fearful cry from Keith.

Keith followed along with the group, not noticing the webbing slowly becoming more apparent in the area. That is, until he ran right into some of it. Feeling the silk web wrap around and stick to him as he walked through it freaked him out so much that he yipped in surprise. He struggled to get the sticky webbing off of him, completely unaware that generally, when one got caught in a spider's web, they were then considered the spider's food.

(Maybe it grows back and they're just.... flaky. By the way, feel free to bring in the two ariados in your post.)

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 24, 2015 10:55 pm

Varda didn't seem to notice the discomfort Keith was experiencing in the dark forest, just nodding happily as the Jolteon seemed to agree with staying behind. That settled it, then! If everyone agreed, then they would do it and there was no reason to question it anymore. The Blissey did say that they were close, so the bird started to hop along faster with their determined client. Now was not the time to have a leisurely walk!

But a yip from behind made both the Blissey and the bird stop, and Varda turned around to see what was happening. It was... Keith? At first he wasn't sure what the issue was, only seeing the Jolteon trash around as if he was hurt! Or... As if there was something stuck on him. The Swablu immediately waddled over to take a better look, finally able to see some bundles of white sticky thread all over the Pokémon's body. Of course, forests had spiders too, didn't they?

"Oh, Keith! You shouldn't move around so much, you'll just get tangled in it worse," the bird offered some surprisingly smart advice as he came even closer, hoping that Keith would calm down. As he took a better look at the web, it sure looked... Well, thicker than what you might expect coming from a smaller spider Pokémon, really. Looked quite strong too. Maybe they would have to cut it off to free the Jolteon properly...

Varda was forced out of his thoughts by the sudden appearance of more web right in front of him, causing the bird to hop backwards. It had been shot from above! He glanced up, seeing the shining eyes of some large spider-like Pokémon – and well, it made sense of course as webs came from spiders, but it seemed like these two were hungry!
"Ah! Um, I think we should try to free Keith!" The Swablu chirped as he really didn't want the Jolteon to end up as spider food, but he too seemed like a good meal choice according to the feral Pokémon. He couldn't stay still, flapping his wings to rise up into the air, his eyes trying to look out for the webs that seemed to be in these trees. Until Keith was free, he decided to distract the spider-like Pokémon, flying into them with his sharp beak.

The Shedinja did not move.

((I hope so, what would the little girl say when her Shedinja friend ends up just, falling apart.))

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyWed May 13, 2015 12:45 am

Keith continued to panic and struggle in futility to get the webbing off of him. That is, until Varda suggested for him to stop, which he complied with. However, more webbing apparently being shot at the swablu made him start moving again, this time because he wanted to help! However, the webbing still stuck to him, being so much of a problem as to trip him when he attempted to move. It seemed he wasn't going to be able to move without help.

Upon piecing together the situation, Sova found himself with a difficult dilemma. Go after the hostile enemies, or free Keith? He couldn't let Varda do either, since he couldn't allow the bird to get shocked in his place, nor could he allow Varda to put himself in danger fighting the ariados' alone, even with a type advantage. However, it seemed the swablu had decided to make the choice for him, flying up into the fight. With that out of the way, he focused on Keith. "Hold still," he demanded.

Keith jumped back a bit as Sova tried to reach out for him with a paw. Anyone who touched him got electrocuted, he didn't want the glaceon to get shocked just because he couldn't fix this himself! "N-no, you can't help, or else you'll-", he began, but Sova simply cut him off.

"I don't care," Sova bluntly stated, interrupting the jolteon.
He didn't have time to argue for the right to willingly hurt himself. He quickly grabbed onto the webbing with his paw and pulled, brushing against the jolteon's fur and shocking himself in the process. However, this didn't do much good, he simply couldn't rip it apart with his strength alone. He'd need to cut it. He huffed as the fur on his leg and paw began to freeze over into sharp spikes. He carefully positioned his leg between Keith and some of the webbing, getting thoroughly electrocuted in the processed. He then quickly pulled his leg towards him as hard as he could, managing to cut a good portion of the webbing off. After that, he simply pulled the web off, with some help on Keith's part. He made sure not to show any pain from the shocks, which wasn't all that hard considering it didn't hurt too bad.

Keith gave up and allowed the glaceon to help him and get shocked. However, he did his best to not be too much of a burden, helping pull himself free of the sticky material after some of it was cut apart. He then looked up to where Varda had flown off to, trying to see what had attacked them. However, he ended up kind of wishing he hadn't. Two rather terrifying looking spiders, ariados.

One of the ariados was hit directly by Varda's attack, being struck in the head and knocked down to a lower tree branch. While it was getting attacked, its apparent ally was preparing a counterattack of its own. The other ariados spit a seemingly pre-made net of webbing out of its mouth, which seemed to be so full of electricity that it actually appeared yellow from the electric glow. The Electroweb was aimed directly for the little swablu.

(And the moral of the story is don't let your pets shed too much or they'll die. Also, I feel like Varda talking to another pet owner would go like this; "Does it do any tricks?" "Yeah, watch this! Stay! Good boy!" "....It didn't even move." "Exactly! Isn't it so cool!?")

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyWed May 13, 2015 1:33 am

Varda managed to hit the spider he had targeted, causing it to fall off the branch it was standing on and land on a lower one. It was good enough distraction to keep the spider from going after Keith, who had been stuck in the web and was quite helpless when tangled in something sticky like that! But the bird too was at a worse position unfortunately, just because he was fighting two feral Pokémon ready to gobble them all up rather than one. He might have had the type advantage overall, but he did not have the mobility to avoid everything or eyes at the back of his head to be able to see what the other spider was doing.

The bird turned around to see what was happening behind him, just in time to see the other spider's mouthpieces sparkle with electricity. He did his best to avoid the incoming attack and flapped his wings hard to soar up and out of the way... But unfortunately for Varda, he just wasn't quite fast enough. The sticky, electric web tangled his feet, causing the bird to let out a high-pitched chirp – mostly out of surprise, actually. It did hurt and tingle, but it didn't hurt as badly as he first thought. It still wasn't a pleasurable feeling, though!

"Oh, ow ow, oww," the Swablu let his discomfort be known as he tried to wiggle his feet and scrape the web off, but no such luck. It clung to his feet, the electricity still felt in his skin. And it was heavy! The web was sticky and thick, clearly felt by someone so light as he tried to fly. Varda could still keep flying, it wasn't that bad... But it was certainly hurting his air maneuverability.

The Blissey gasped as she saw all this happening, not exactly a fighter herself and this kind of thing was why she had hired someone to escort her in the forest in the first place! But she also wasn't the kind of a Pokémon who could just sit back and do nothing when others were getting hurt. With a look of determination on her face, she took a few steps backwards to build up some speed before taking a running start and throwing herself against the tree. With all her weight behind her, the tree with the Ariados started to shake...

((Varda will also show his pet rock. It can do the same trick!))

Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Gloomy Sunday   Gloomy Sunday - Page 2 EmptyFri May 22, 2015 4:06 am

The tree's shaking almost immediately caused one of the ariados' to lose its footing and fall to the ground. The other fell shortly after, though it managed to land on a lower branch, staying clear from the ground. Sova immediately bolted for the grounded spider that was now in his immediate range, his entire fur coat being coated in spikes of ice in the process. He leaped over a line of webbing spit from the ariados' mouth and landed on his front paws before spinning and slamming his spiked tail into its head. The second ariados, still in the tree, spit an Electroweb down at the glaceon, with him not paying any attention to it at all.

Keith simply watched at first, not sure how he could help with the fight. He wasn't anywhere near as experienced as Sova and apparently Varda was more experienced than him too. It made sense, the swablu was a Guild member after all and he had only just joined the guild, so of course Varda was more experienced than him. As the ball of electrified web came into the equation, the jolteon realized he could have a use after all. He remembered that when he'd evolved, he had been hit by lightning and it actually stopped hurting after he'd evolved. If anything, it actually made him feel better. This web the ariados was making seemed like it was an Electric-Type attack, so he figured he could do the same thing here!

The jolteon bolted in front of the attack rather quickly, before being knocked to the ground by the force of the web. However, sure enough, it didn't hurt.... other than the part where he'd fallen on the ground. The ground still didn't feel good. He got up and immediately realized that the now normal and non-electrified web around him wasn't even sticky! At least, not as much as the webbing that'd been stuck to him earlier. He immediately got to work pulling it off of himself, just in case there would be another time where he could be useful in the fight.

Sova only noticed the web heading for him when it was too late and he was certain to be hit by it. However, Keith's intervention spared him the mild discomfort and difficulty moving that the web likely would have brought with it, taking the hit instead. For a moment he was worried, then he noticed the electricity being sucked away from the web. Volt Absorb, that would likely be very useful in the future. "Nice job," he said with a smirk as he turned back to the ariados still on the ground, now keeping an eye on the one above as well.
The grounded ariados had already prepared the spike on its head for a Poison Sting, giving the spike a slight purple glow. However, as it tried to move forward to attack, the glaceon simply stepped on its head and pinned it to the ground, careful not to touch the spike.

"Varda, can you get that one? I don't feel like having to aim," he requested of the swablu as he looked up to the ariados still in the tree.
He really didn't feel like having to aim Shadow Ball, which was his only long ranged option in most situations. "Or Keith.... the client, someone, I just don't wanna have to do it," he continued.
Normally, he would have been eager to be the one to beat an enemy, but these things were.... weak, boringly so. They were no fun to fight and beating them didn't really feel like an accomplishment, more like a chore.

(At least the rock would be useful in a fight.)
