Shadowhue was known for being dark, hence the name.  So dark that in some of the more densely forested areas it could be difficult to tell the time of day.  It was far darker at night.  It seemed as if this place was now the definition of darkness.  Visibility was little more than a few feet, making for an eerie and dangerous environment.  To top it all off, it was freezing....

Acually, the cold was more of a plus side for a certain glaceon who had decided to venture into the dark woods.  Sova had found that since evolving, he enjoyed the cold.  Likely because of his new ice typing.  One thing was not in a hurry to learn was how he handled something like desert heat now.

"Love what you've done with the place."  The icy fox sarcastically commented to the darkness that was Shadowhue Forest.  It wasn't like he had anyone to talk to.  May as well get used to talking to himself.  At least that would help keep his mind from wandering and playing tricks on him in the darkness.  Or maybe it would do the opposite.  Either way, he was here for the purpose of completing missions and no overly creepy atmosphere was going to stop him.

The archeops was still there....unmoving....nothing changed...you get the point.

Linus blinked, what was wrong with Sova now? This certainly was not that thing he had seen earlier, nor did this seem to be the rude glaceon he had been traveling with. Did he have ANOTHER split personality of some sort?! Just how many personalities could one pokemon have!? Linus sighed, obviously irritated, "Look, I don't know if you're just scared to hell for some strange reason, if there's something behind be I don't see, or if this is some other thing that you do, but right now we kind of need that glaceon that isn't chicken sh*t, because Acro isn't going to help himself, and I certainly don't know how to help him or even if he needs help. Okay?"

Sova merely listened to the honchkrow, not replying and continuing to shiver. He still couldn't speak, he even opened his mouth to try after Linus had finished, but his throat simply seemed to close up as he attempted to make words happen. Instead, he looked aroun until he located the archops who seemed to have crash-landed near the edge of the water, with what appeared to be the ariados under him and some pieces of ice floating around him.

The glaceon slowly got to his feet and made his way over to Acro, still saying nothing. It probably would have been easy to mistake his movements for that of a robot if not for the shivering. He had none of the usual emotion in his walk, his facial expression was just some limbo between shock and terror with semi-wide eyes and a slight frown, his ears were more than flattened, drooping slightly, like wilted flowers. As he neared the archeops, he reached a paw out in an attempt to shake the bird, still having difficulties doing that speaking thing.

Acro was shook by the Glaceon, but nothing came of it. Brilliant plan there Mr. Shivers.

Linus covered his face with a wing in what was the equivalent of pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance. He sighed and hopped over to the glaceon, "S-s-sova," he spoke, having difficulty speaking with the broken Ariados laying next to him, "Sna..Snaaap out of it, iiiif th-thuh injuries arrrre surious then he could be in suris dangerrrr" he covered his beak with his wing once more, resisting the urge to puke. This just was not a pleasant day for this poor bird. It wasn't a pleasant day for any of the pokemon. He would have sighed in frustration if not for being too busy to keep from puking.

The still-conscious bird was speaking again.... Sova almost opened his mouth to respond, but then he remembered that the last time he tried that, it merely resulted in some discomfort in his throat. Besides, he didn't even want to speak. What would he say? He could barely think at the moment, it was a miracle that he could even walk around and comprehend what someone else was saying to him. How would he be able to respond sensibly, even if he could have tried?

Instead of using words, he decided to go with the popular belief that actions could speak louder than the words he could not currently find. He leaned in to bite onto one of Acro's wings so he could pull the archeops out of the water, making sure not to injure the archeops with his teeth in the process, not that it mattered too much at the moment since the bird was out cold. This whole situation was helped by the fact that even if he wasn't currently traumatized, Acro's new beanbag chair wouldn't have bothered him much. Since he WAS traumatized, though, he had barely even noticed it, let alone cared.

Acro, who was still unconscious, had no choice but to allow himself to be dragged.

Linus watched the Glaceon begin to drag the archeops away from the ariados. The honchkrow lifted himself into the air with his great wings and hovered himself over Acro, latching his talons around the archeops and assisting in dragging him off of the ariados. Once he was finished, he landed next to the Glaceon, glancing at him and studying him. Just what the heck was wrong with him? Was he sick? Did he see some kind of ghost?

"So yuh goin' to talk or whaht?" Linus spoke, still having difficulties with being sick. He shuffled his feet, his shoulders hunched slightly as it felt a bit more comfortable and natural that way. It was probably a habit that came natural to a Honchkrow, though he did not really realize he was doing this.

Sova glanced at the honchkrow as he received the crow's help in dragging Acro out of the wreckage. When they finished, Linus spoke. The glaceon responded by simply shaking his head slowly and hesitantly. He would have asked what had happened to Acro if he thought he could. What if the archeops was dead? Or dying? He didn't know how to check for a pulse and knew next to nothing about first aid outside of the basics. Besides, he was too shaky, trying to administer first aid in his condition would prove to be very difficult. He'd just have to hope to see the archeops wake up....

Linus sighed as the glaceon seemed to refuse to speak. What did he do to deserve this? He felt as if he wanted to slap the glaceon, but instead of doing so, he restrained himself.
"Fine," he spoke before spreading his wings and beating at the air while he launched himself off of the ground with his legs. He flapped his way into a nearby tree, searching for something that could help. A reviver seed? Oran Berries? Sitris Berry? Something! He picked through the branches, glancing at the forest floor occasionally, searching for something that would result in saving the Acro's life should it be in danger.

Luckily for the group, Acro had merely been knocked out. His life was not in danger, he just had a rather harsh strike to the head. He groaned and woke up, lifting himself slowly onto his legs. He had a headache, and it seemed as if the world was blurry and spinning. He looked around, the ariados behind him and out of his sight with the glaceon in front of him, "What happened?" he asked first before noticing the look on the glaceon's face, "What's wrong?"

Sova simply stared at the unconscious archeops as the honchkrow responded to him and flew off. He didn't care at the moment if he'd offended Linus, he was too busy worrying about the bird whom he actually liked. So when Acro finally got up, the glaceon's ears perked slightly. When the bird spoke, he gave a slight smile of relief. Then he lunged towards the archeops with his front legs outstretched; he had a sudden urge to hug the not-dead Acro. Both out of relief the archeops wasn't dead and.... he just needed a hug.

Linus had traveled quite a distance, but to no luck. He found nothing, but what did catch his eye, was two bright red apples on the branch of a tree, just waiting to be plucked. They were quite large, and fit the qualifications that the Glaceon had wanted for his mission. Linus was left with the choice of grabbing the apples and returning, or going back empty handed. His desire to help took over, as he pecked the apples off of the branch, and picked them up in his talons. He broke through the canopy of leaves, and raced back to the scene, unable to find anything of use.

Acro was surprised as the glaceon suddenly launched himself towards him, and he received a hug. The archeops had never exactly been hugged before, at least not by any pokemon other than half hugs from his mother with her wings. It felt nice. He wrapped his wings around the glaceon, hugging him back. He figured that the glaceon must have thought he was dead, and was greatly troubled by it. The archeops was still oblivious to the glaceon's fears, and the turmoil that occurred within him other than there was something abnormal about him that the glaceon had stated earlier.

Having a hug actually felt nice. Sova hadn't ever hugged anyone but his parents and they were.... not around any more. He didn't know it was pretty much the same situation for the archeops; he just thought Acro was accepting and returning the hug because they were friends. Without even thinking about how his voice had been malfunctioning, he opened his mouth to speak. "Today sucks...."

Surprise surprise, his voice was a bit raspy, but it was at the very least working now. The situation was at least beginning to get better, he was calming down. His shivering was slowly subsiding as proof of this.

"Yeah, it definitely isn't a very nice day...or night...whatever," Acro responded, his thoughts turning towards the event with the voice. He felt the glaceon's shivering slowly degrade into nothing. He was a bit surprised by the Glaceon's raspy voice, and wondered if the ariados or Heracross had given them a bit more trouble while he was knocked out than he had originally thought. Why did he have to get knocked down so easily? Would it have been different if he had been stronger? Paid more attention?

Linus had gotten lost, yet again, on his way back to them. He had found the river, but he was not at the place where the fight had been. The honchkrow sighed and tried to remember where the rising sun was in comparison to the river was, and began to head in the correct direction towards the group. He had no idea that it was the correct guess, but it was pretty much a coin flip on whether he went the wrong way or not, and he had been lucky.

Sova finally released the archeops and nodded, waiting for the bird's wings to release him in return. He was still having trouble making sense of what had just happened to him. If that.... thing had the ability to do that, surely it would have done it sooner. He remembered the ariados' eyes glowing for a moment before it happened and decided it must have been the bug's doing. Something he didn't know about. "I think the ariados did something to me.... It wasn't.... any move I've ever seen, but it was something.", he explained rather vaguely.
How else was he supposed to explain it? That his insane fragmented personality just attacked him? That'd probably just freak Acro out....

Acro released the Glaceon, listening as the glaceon explained what had happened with little detail. He thought for a moment and spoke, "How about you hop on my back and we go home? Apples or not, all of this isn't worth some pie or whatever they need it for. Where did Linus go?" he asked. His question was answered as the Honchkrow appeared mere seconds after he asked, flying up the river and locating them. The honchkrow looked to the archeops, and flew overhead, dropping two big apples near them before retreating into a tree.

Linus raced along just above the water's surface, until he finally spotted the two. Acro seemed to be up and moving, and his concerns that the archeops was dying ceased. He dropped the apples near the two, and dove into a tree, the mission was over, and it was time to go. He shuffled his feet in the tree, spotting an oran berry in the tree wedged between some branches. He plucked the berry and carried it, planning to give it to Acro once the two were back at the guild.

Sova opened his mouth to use his regained voice and reply to the archeops, but he was interrupted by two apples dropping to the ground near them. Two very large apples. So Linus had found them.... "Well, speaking of apples.... Looks like we've got them. That's good, I didn't plan to leave until I found them.", he replied as he picked up the apples and dropped them into his bag.

Then he considered the archeops' offer. Being carried seemed nice, he was feeling lazy and tired. But he decided against it, as he still wanted to retain some dignity, plus the archeops was probably just as tired as him if not more. "I'll pass on your offer to fly me back, I can walk and I wouldn't want to burden you. I'd like to save whatever dignity I've got left too. But thanks."

Acro was a bit disheartened by the glaceon rejecting his offer to fly him, rejecting his offer to help. He decided, eventually, to accept the fact that he had rejected the offer. He folded his wings, deciding to walk with the Glaceon rather than fly. Although he had a different guild to go to now, and he could easily just fly up and out of here directly to Ailreon, he would stay with the glaceon. He walked onward, continuing onward until they had left the dungeon.

Linus watched as they left, taking flight and flying ahead. He flew ahead rather than sticking with the group, knowing they had the same destination in mind. He could easily just take a seat on some tree and wait for them. It was more beneficial to him, that and he was pretty sure the two would not being doing anything other than small talk among themselves. The honchkrow remembered the offer he had accepted earlier, the thing about training. He wondered if it was a mistake...he shook his head, flying on and on until he had left the forest.
