A stroll through pecha

Jak had been back at the home Serena had lent him for his stay in town. At some point she came over and asked if he would like to explore pecha forest with her for the day. He agreed to that and got his stuff packed up for the trip. He thought it be good to practice some more there. Possibly get some more supplies there. The last few times he had been there. It was not the best luck getting such supplies.

"So how come you wanted to come to pecha for the day?" He decided to ask Serena. He was sure she would have chosen other area's but was unsure of the reasons.

They were about halfway to the forest as he had asked that question.

Serena ran after Jak, wondering what that flash had been, aswell. "I'm coming! You know that interested me, too!" She yelled after the Charmander. "Arceus, Jak is fast...." The Snivy thought aloud. As they neared the source of the flash, Serena's heart thumped so loud she thought the whole dungeon could hear it. They ran faster, and Serena's heart rate increased even more. Closer..... closer.... almost there....

As Jak entered the area that he was sure that the bolt of energy had occurred. He noticed the scorch mark on the ground of where it was. There was a pokemon there on the ground that had been knocked out. He was sure it might of been another feral. It was clear that the knocked out pokemon had some electrical burns. It had not done that attack. It was not even an electric type..

"Wonder what had happened. Lets leave before that one wakes up. It does not seem it is too hurt. Just knocked out. I have a feeling that one attacked something and it was not ready for the shock."

He thought he might of heard a voice when he got close but there was no one else in the area at the time. "Electrical attacks... You know any electric types in the area? Including the town?" He asked.

"Nope." Serena shook her head. "We should leave now, though. Just in case." She started walking out of the small clearing. 'That is pretty suspicious.... and that 'mon hadn't done the attack, either, so that's weird.' The Snivy thought suspiciously. 'Things are definitely off today...' She thought. As they walked through the dungeon, the Snivy shook her head again.

Jak heard her state that there wasn't any electrical type pokemon that she knew about. She then stated that they should probably leave just in case something occurred.

He thought for a moment. 'Maybe one of my friends are here' he thought as he smiled. He had found more hope his friends could be found. He had a burst of energy as he wanted to go searching in the forest.

"Yea let's get going" he said as he started to move.

"Ok. Let's get going." Serena delved deeper into the forest. She had gotten farther than before. 'I'm making progress....' She smiled as she thought to herself. 'Making progress.....' The Snivy jogged along the path, picking up a blast seed she found and put it in her bag. Then, she heard a noise. A Hoothoot. "Not again....." Serena groaned. Smacking it with an Iron Tail and whipping it with Vine Whip, after a couple of hits, the Hoothoot went down. "Complete waste of my time." The Snivy muttered with a frustrated tone.

Jak looked at the Hoothoot as it came up from behind them. It was knocked out by Serena. He did not know what happened last time she was here. She seemed to be doing fine with him here though. She then stated that the hoothoot was a complete waste of her time.

She sounded a bit frustrated. "Hey. Its alright. Its better to not have to run into someone that could overpower both of us" he said with a small chuckle. He walked alongside Serena as they continued through the forest.

Serena nodded solemnly. "Good point." She replied briefly. They walked on, and she glared at the Hoothoot as they walked by. What was it that put her in such a bad mood? After thinking for a moment, she remembered: Dark. Memories of Dark had been her main problem whenever she went out everywhere. Adventuring? Dark. Eating? Dark. Talking? Dark. She hated it as much as she hated villainy. 'Why does he rest in my memory like a Joltik does an electric type?!' Serena thought in frustration.

Jak took notice that Serena seem to be getting frustrated at something. "What's wrong?" He decided to ask. he did not want her to get too frustrated as it would cloud her judgement in a dungeon. He decided he would let her know after he found out what was bothering her just in case he could help with that. If not he would try to explain that its best to try to remain calm in a dungeon as being angry can cloud your judgement in a dungeon. Especially since the hostile environment can already effect you in some ways. Getting angry could possibly cause some large mistakes in these dungeons. He learned this from a friend.

"It's memories of an old friend. It keeps taking up space in my mind and it's angering me like crazy!" Serena explained, trying to control her anger. "If only he were actually here.... then I wouldn't have this problem.." She grumbled. Why did Dark have to be so important?! How come he couldn't just be like Jolt? Always there in her heart?! 'AGHHHH!!!!' The Snivy thought bitterly.

Jak listened to Serena. Sounded like she was upset about a friend leaving or something to him. "Well. Is there anything I can do to help? A friend told me its not smart to be angry in a dungeon as it can build up from the hostile atmosphere the dungeons give off. It would also make it harder to focus and keep a level head as you travel in them." He said calmly. He did not want to get her more upset then how she was already.

"I think you could, actually... Thanks for the advice, Jak." Serena responded almost calmly. They kept walking, and Serena gradually calmed down. She was ok now, and she wasn't teeming with anger at everything now, which was good. "Never mind... I've calmed down." Serena said to Jak. Taking deep breaths had helped.

Jak looked at Serena and smiled that she was able to calm down. "Shall we continue?" he asked in case she wanted to start heading back. He knows there is not much out here to explore. However if they headed too far in. They would have to camp out there for a night.

He was not entirely sure if she planned on staying in the forest for the night. His first time being there he had a bad nightmare that woke him up sometime in the morning. It was about his village.

"Yeah. But we shouldn't go too far, or we'll have to stay the night, and I don't want that to happen." Serena said. They kept walking. Life had been tough for Serena, but she had stuck it through. Nothing really bad had happened yet, and she intended to keep it that way forever. For the rest of her life, if she couldn't forever.

Jak looked towards the sky. The sun was starting to settle at the top of the sky. Showing that it was midday. "Only a little bit further then and then we would have to start heading back." He said with a smile. As he continued to walk he noticed a seed and an orb on the ground. He picked up the seed and the orb. "Hmm." He took note of the size and shape of the seed. It was a blast seed. He put it in his bag and held the orb for a moment. "Want this?" as he held the orb. He was not sure which type of orb it was at the moment. Then he remembered seeing one before. "Its a petrify orb." He said after he remembered the name of it.

"Sure." Serena took the orb and put it in her bag, closing it, just as a Zigzagoon popped out of nowhere. "You can fight this one... I've been doing a lot." She offered. The Zigzagoon's expression obviously said "I'm going to fricking kill you.". Serena knew it wouldn't because it was weaker than them. She knew the petrify orb would help, but she was saving it for later.
