Relief in the Reef

An array of water and color filled Tally's eyes. Afrer a while of swimming in the depths of the water ocean, the Buizel had finally found the sight she was looking for: the Coral Forests. She had only heard about it, but now she saw the rainbow of coral with her own eyes. Delighted, she sped down to the reef, her twin tails whizzing around like a propeller.

Seeing the Coral Forest all around her heightened the experience. She wanted to never leave, to swim among the schools of fish Pokemon who dwelled around here. It would be easy and no one would know she was hidden away down here , but she knew she couldn't stay here forever. She had friends and a team back on the surface, so she knew this was only a temporary escape. That didn't mean she couldn't enjoy it while it lasted, however...

Not far off from the little sea weasel that wandered around, enjoying the Colorful Coral of the reefs, a massive monster was making his way towards the colorful reef that was filled with exciting discoveries and untouched treasures. A red and long creature swayed through the water, relieved to be back in the ocean for once after all this time having been spent on the land. It was difficult to move in the land, but here it was peaceful, easier to move, and a lot more welcoming than the harsh ground of the continents. The large red gyarados's scales shined as they reflected off the sun's rays and his shadow drained the floor of all color as the light was blocked from reaching the ground. Proteus had not been to Coral Forest since he was a magikarp, and he was happy to be back after all this time.

Tally propelled herself to the sea floor to see if there was anything down there to pick up as a souvenir. She didn't want to manually break or scrape off something, because it wouldn't sit right with her knowing she had broken a Pokemon's home just so she could gawk at it later. Before she could pick up anything, however, a large dark shadow was cast from above her. She looked up.

A gigantic red sea serpent was swimming above her.

For a split second Tally panicked, but then she realized that the beast hadn't seen her. If she just swam away, would she be able to get out unscathed from the monster's fury? Or would staying where she was be better? Movement could attract it's attention! Deciding to go with the latter, Tally floated in one place, staying as still as possible. Hopefully she wouldn't end up as this Pokemon's dinner.

The red atrocious beast's body swayed back and forth as it moved along like a snake in the water. His massive size intimidating to what seemed to be every creature that saw him. The massive snake shaped creature felt happy to be back in the waters, but it seemed as if nobody wanted to speak to him. Proteus stopped for a moment, spotting a buizel who had become frozen in what seemed to be fear. The gyarados approached the buizel, but kept a fair distanc, afraid of scaring the buizel more, "Hello there! Is something wrong?" he asked casually, as if the buizel was not ten times smaller than him.

Tally was terrified the moment the crimson beast began to approach her. This was it. She was it's prey and she would never make it back to the surface again. She'd never become famous and her mysterious disappearance would leave Kira alone and sick with worry and false hope forever. She winced, readying for her inevitable end....

"Hello there! Is something wrong?"

There was a long moment of silence on the Buizel's side. She blinked a good few times. Was she hallucinating? This monster of a Pokemon had just approached her and causally greeted her. She couldn't believe it, but eventually she answered.

"U-uh, I'm fine," the Buizel said, but anyone with ears could tell she wasn't. Still, she mustered up her courage the best she could. "You?"

"I'm fine, but you don't sound too well yourself..." the monstrosity spoke, keeping a fair distance. He was beginning to grow a bit disheartened once more, even this buizel was afraid of him. Sometimes he wished he hadn't met the strange bird of the sea and he hadn't evolved into the red beast he was now. Sure he had been brought a clearer intelligence upon evolving, but at this moment he would rather be an oblivious idiot rather than be feared by every friendly pokemon he came across.

Tally stared silently at the massive serpent, before realizing that this Pokemon seemed a lot more civilized than she once thought. But what if it was a trap? The Buizel couldn't be too sure, but decided to converse a bit more with him anyway.

"Sorry, uh, sir. Didn't quite expect that... Do you get that a lot? I'm sure you do... I'll be fine." she said quickly. She just let the words flow through and didn't reflect on them much. She hoped that this Pokemon was truly friendly.

The buizel was still nervous, not something he could help with. Proteus was a bit depressed with this, but tried to keep a cheerful front, "Erm...Yes I do actually, but if its me that's bothering you I could leave if you like..." but the cheerful didn't last long. He wanted to someone to talk to, sure he liked the sea, but it was boring unless he had someone to be with. On land there was plenty of pokemon in places like Grassveil, but it was difficult to move and generally uncomfortable for him since his natural habitat is with the waves of the water.
